Had a Fleet of Fords and was looking to get a mechanic to start servicing them called this place and a Sean answered just to test there customer service I said I had a question and in the middle of my question he tells me hold on and puts the phone down. I found out what I needed to know in the first 60 seconds awful customer service.

Im so glad I found this place!! Very professional, personable, & friendly Auto shop. On my latest visit I was having some problems with my jeep and Mr. John and Mr. Philip pointed me in the right direction and had me back on the road within minutes and they were a tremendous help. This place was great, fast have two years tags.and the lady that did my brake tag was so helpful when I couldnt find my registration I was she was able to point me in the right direction and within 10 minutes I was back and had my brake tag and that to save me time I really appreciate it.

John is a great guy and will fix your car the first time and if you do have a problem afterwards, he will take care of it for you. He, Jamie and Phillip do a great job for all your mechanic needs and they are honest with their work and prices.

I’ve used John for about 20 years and I’m always satisfied. He’s honest and keeps you informed when working on your car. He changed catalytic converters on a Frontier most recently and at $1400 he was $1000 cheaper than another quote from a mechanic in Hammond!

A+ service, great people. I met John in the early 2000s and have dealt with him many times. From my old 1990 Chevy Silverado to my fiances 2010 ford focus, and even a rebuild on an Isuzu rodeo. All service is top notch, every visit is pleasant and quick. Great people and awesome attention to detail. Ive even had a boat motor worked on by him, so anything you got, he can take care of.

My 2001 Jeep required repair for a jammed shock caused by a broken rear mount. A Goodyear tire facility recommended Auto Master because, “Auto Master has the skills and equipment to rebuild the shock mount.” John, the ASE certified owner of Auto Master, inspected the Jeep and made an immediate temporary repair to prevent damage to the vehicle. John needed time to search for the correct parts to replace the rusted, broken mounts. The next day John presented several options for rebuilding the rusted area and installing new rear mounts and shocks. A detailed estimate and parts list for the repair I selected was prepared. John ordered the parts. After all of the necessary parts were in the shop, John called to set the repair appointment. I asked John if he would also perform maintenance on the cooling system, brakes, and oil leaks.On the day of the appointment, John inspected the vehicle and prepared a second written estimate for the additional maintenance. The Jeep was repaired in a timely manner with no surprises, and on budget. Also the Louisiana “Brake Tag” inspection was completed. I drove the Jeep on an 800 mile round trip to Tennessee. No maintenance problems developed. There were no oil leaks. Auto Master of Slidell is the most professional, organized, and clean repair facility that I have experienced in fifty-two years of driving. The staff is professional, efficient, and courteous.

$29.99 for service here and $12 for the same thing in Covington. I would be wary of them price gouging. You can decide for yourself if he is ripping you off. He wants to charge 29.99 for a literal 5 minute service. Apparently his time is worth $360 an hour. To perform the service you put the device on a little machine and push a button, then wait ~5 minutes, done. It does not take any effort or special abilities, years of training, nothing. Ripping people off for 10 years does not make it ok. Go somewhere else unless you don’t mind paying a mechanic $360/hr.

Best place to get you Brake-Tag Inspection in Slidell, LA.

Brought a 2008 Pontiac Montana in with a spark plug loose on the rear side of the engine. The owner himself said it would probably need tapped and a new plug put in. I took his word, had the work done, which was $700 (high anyway) out of desperation. Long story short the head gasket blew right after that and we had the motor dropped. NO TAP, NO COIL, One new plug in the back middle and another plug was still loose!! He specifically told me when I requested that he would check/change ALL of the plugs!! This guy is a liar and takes advantage of families and people on the spot. Don’t let the smooth talker fool you. I have an invoice that says tap and coil a plug in the head and I also have the untapped uncoiled head! Plus I paid for a coil and parts that I don’t even have!! AHHH!

Went in for a leaking master and slave. After 3 attempts and $483.00 i still had a non working clutch. Owner told me it needed a new clutch, cost over $1000.00. Took truck to a friend he fixed truck in his driveway in 2 hours for $100.00. It wasnt blead properly. Truck now runs great. The owner has no idea what he is doing. I would not recommend this shop.
