I brought my 96 Toyota Camry to this establishment to replace both axles. I was met with professionalism, prompt service and great prices. I am DEFINITELY going to be a repeat customer.

The manager of this location is a LAIR, a THIEF and a CROCK A while back he tried to rip me off by trying to charge me almost $500 for a service that one of the other mechanics had already quoted me for a much lower price; and of course I refused the service. I took my car to another place, and after inspecting my car, they say my car did Not needed any work and they couldnt understand why the manager at Midas told a totally different story

Ive always had good experiences with Midas, all over the country. After dealing with several sketchy and unprofessional independent mechanics after moving to California, we finally found Jeff - who runs this shop - and he is the man! He and his staff are trustworthy, friendly, always on time and genuinely care about the clients whose cars they work on. Weve brought our cars here for everything from a catastrophic brake/ABS electrical failure to a simple tire patch, and will have these guys look over any car we consider in the future for a prepurchase inspection.These are the only people I trust to give me honest feedback on our cars. When theres a problem, its always treated as a collaborative effort to get it fixed - no sketchy shortcuts, no price gouging, no BS.Cannot recommend this Midas location enough - thanks for being awesome you guys! 👍

Very grateful to Jeff and his team. After having a horrible experience at another local mechanic shop, they were able to get my van back up and running properly. They were very transparent and informative. I appreciate the great work, great customer service and I would highly recommend his shop.

Replaced my turbo and rotors for 2500, later learned it should have cost no more than 800... got scammed for 1700. This place will take advantage of you please do NOT under any circumstance go here. Read all the other 1 star reviews they day the same thing please they cant keep getting away with this. Every 5 star review just doesnt know how bad theyre getting cheated.

Ive been taking all the family cars to Midas for a few years now when the brakes need to be checked, as well as for oil changes. I have yet to have any really expensive and extensive repairs done there. I feel that Jeff is a straight shooter and honest. He will make suggestions for minor work that needs to be done but doesnt push these recommendations. He will be straight forward if an expensive repair needs to be done, but I feel he makes an effort to keep the cost down as much as he can

I laugh at the people complaining for the 19.99$ coupon oil change. How much cheaper can you get honestly ? If oil changes typically go for 35-60$ due to the cost of labor and the oil, how do you expect them to even make money from 19.99$?Jeff is incredibly helpful and literally does everything in his will to lower the price every which way possible. The people complaining will complain no matter what is seems like. I wasn’t asked to leave this comment I came here to leave it because he really is so helpful I wanted to do my part to help him by leaving a good review which costs me nothing.I HIGHLY suggest to anyone who hasn’t been here to go here. Not only is Jeff quick and efficient with his work, but he will be straight forward and honest with you with what needs to get fixed NOW and what can be fixed later if you can’t pay for it at the moment.It’s pretty sad how entitled and out of reality people are with squeezing every penny possible out when it’s already so cheap compared to any other place.You get what you pay for with anything in life. 3$ bottle of wine is going to taste like a 3$ bottle of wine not like a 300$ bottle. The fact is that you get more than what you pay for here compared to other places, squeezing anymore is just absurd.5/5 stars 10/10 place highly highly recommend it

We go out of our way to use this place for all our Auto maintenance. The staff is nice and they are great at diagnosing a problem and fixing it right. Better than the local dealerships and faster too.

I give this place 5 stars and Ill explain why. Its not because theyre the cheapest, and while they arent the most expensive either, you can definitely get a less expensive quote from a nearby shop. This is a no B.S., one time stop shop. Not the friendliest place, but you wont leave offended and youll leave with a warranty that youll probably never need but feels good having. They Warranty good work is all Im saying. Sure, youll get a warranty from the guys up the street, but who wants a warranty from the same guys that just failed to fix the problem in the first place. Its a good shop, ask for Kevin.

We love midas! At least the one on los angles and 4th. Jeff, his son and staff are so great and always get you good service for a great price. They are also quick and try to get you in and out in the same day. Definitely will continue to go there. Have so far gotten, oil change, window motor replacement, a/c filter replacement, breaks and speaker replacement.

Ive had several vehicle repairs & services (big and small) done at this location. They have always been very friendly, professional, fast and fair with pricing. They actually gave me options both times I needed repairs, told me what was absolutely necessary and what was not. They did not fast talk me into pricey unnecessary repairs (which I have experienced at dealerships and other automotive shops). Jeff was very helpful and explained everything in a way that made perfect sense so that I was comfortable with what was being done to my car, and what I was paying for.

I have visited the Simi Valley Midas location twice. My experience is far and above anything I have previously encountered when dealing with an auto repair shop.First, I needed to have my air conditioner fixed and the counter man, Jeff, was upfront and honest with me regarding every step of the repair process. I was informed of the issue within ten minutes of his mechanic evaluating the problem. The required parts were sought out and delivered same day, I was very lucky, and my air conditioner is working perfectly! I was amazed at the difference in price between going to the local dealership and even other auto shops in town. Clearly, fixing the A/C was not cheap but I paid a literal fraction of what I was quoted everywhere else AND they did not simply decide to throw parts at it but the problem was properly diagnosed and evaluated with my consent before every part was replaced/reprogrammed. (It helped that I was in the waiting room and they could obtain my authorization to handle the repairs as quickly as they did.)My next visit was just under two weeks later. The first thing I noticed was that Jeff remembered me and asked how the A/C was functioning before I finished walking in the door! (Seriously, customer services speaks for itself.) I asked for a complete rundown of what my aged truck needed and advised him of some of the issues I was already aware of. Long story short, another same day repair journey including replacing the oil pan!! It was the first of August and I was in early in the afternoon. The shop was pretty slow and both of the mechanics and Jeff stepped in to complete so many repairs and fix my truck! The price, yet again, was literally beyond my comprehension. I wont quote prices here because everyone has different costs based on make/model and condition but seriously, you cannot go wrong with these men!! They are not only experiences and knowledgeable but the shop is tidy and the atmosphere is that comfortable welcoming feeling I remember from my childhood. (I am a Simi native born in 85 and raised here, so I do remember how things used to function here)Stop reading this, take your vehicle in for an oil change, or whatever repair you have been putting off, and let them work their magic!

We took the car to Midas on 5/5/14 just before a trip to San Francisco. The only thing we wanted done was a basic oil and filter change with standard oil. We had taken the car to them 2 oil changes ago and they wanted to charge us 110 dollars to change the engine air filter and the cabin filter. That sounded a bit much to me so I told them I would take care of it myself. I checked on line and discovered how easy it was and the filters cost less then 25 dollars. I changed both of them in about 15 minutes. (By the way when I checked both filters they looked clean to me). Anyway this time they called and said the filters were dirty and needed changing. This confirmed our suspicions that they were trying to sell us unnecessary work to drive the bill up. When we went to pick the car up we were told that our car took 7 quarts of oil and they had to charge us more for the extra oil and since our car was a high end car (8 year old Lexus) they had to put in synthetic oil. So instead of the advertised bill we ended up being charged 43 dollars. I checked the specs for my engine and it calls for 5.7 quarts including the oil for the new filter. We checked the filters when we got home and they were perfectly clean and no way needed changing. This is the last time we will go to Midas for anything, especially since we trusted them and they tried to cheat us. Take your car somewhere else!

After experiencing a service problem here, Jeff and Julian quickly contacted me and went to work resolving the brake problem. They completely diagnosed the problem, related to a very old brake repair, allowed me to fix it and offered to re-bleed/adjust the brakes after I was done for free. Very impressed with their follow-up and work to keep a customer happy. Thanks guys!

I came here because of a throttle error code issue, they charged me $90 to look at it. They told me my butterfly valve inside my throttle bottle was bent, apperently they could only get the upgraded one which was an extra $200. All said and done wouldve costed $800 so I decided to buy the part (which I found the stock one for $200 cheaper) and do it myself. As I was installing it I looked at my current butterfly valve and it wasnt even bent!!!! All I had to do was clean my throttle sensor and it fixed the error code! This place will try to take advantage of you if you seem like you dont know a lot about cars. Go else where.

This Midas is great and Jeff is awesome! They are fast and efficient. Weve been going there for 3 years now and Jeff knows us when we come in :) I have never felt that Ive been sold something unnecessary and neither has my husband. The first time we went we double check the price quote with our old mechanic in Arcadia that my dad goes to and it was right on.

Well for starters, it was about $200 cheaper than what another local shop quoted me!! I came in to get my breakpads and rotors replaced. The work was fast! And a good chunk of the time I was waiting, I talked to the owner about how long hed been in the business (30+ years) and some interesting stories that went along with that. You can also tell hes the kind of guy that doesnt like to sugar coat things and thats pretty respectable and amusing when hes telling a story. Dont worry, its not in a bad way or anything. He just tells it how it is haha.I came here from out of state a few weeks ago and I really feel like I lucked out by choosing this Midas. Im definitely coming here again at some point and Ill be telling all my local friends about it. I also think its worth mentioning that this is the first review Ive ever written on a business before. Positive or negative experience, I guess Ive just never really cared enough to put aside time to actually do something like this. But I really want to help spread the word that this place is amazing because it seriously is. Save money and have awesome service. Choose Midas

Rating two stars because the mechanics were friendly and Jeff didnt charge me for me telling me what was wrong with my vehicle. Well, He told me some parts were bad that I already knew and wanted fixed and then he tells me my shocks were bad along with all of my breaks, and that i needed a new carburetor...Really? a new carburetor when its a fuel injected vehicle? I kept silent and got a kick out of that one. Im sure he assumed I knew nothing about cars/trucks. He quoted me a few thousand dollars and he said dont worry though! we can do it all here. haha yeah right. went somewhere else and got what I needed fixed for less than $800. I never write reviews for any place but I was straight up lied to my face. the needed carburetor was what got me.

Story MUCH longer, won’t fit here. My AC wasn’t working. Jeff said broken pressure switch was problem: $38, part; $30 diagnosis; $280 to fix.I later learned from AC experts ‘n other techs: highly unlikely about switch since AC wasn’t working a week earlier when switch was not broken.Learned the part is $18.99. With Freon ‘n labor I was quoted: $60 and $90…much less than Jeff’s $348!Jeff was misleading… my problem was not the broken switch.Why I want refund: He did not reveal the problem, but something additionally.He should have said: “Get that switch fixed, then we can tell you the problem. No diagnostic charge; this didn’t take long and we can’t find the problem yet.”When I asked Midas headquarters for my money back, Jeff told them he won’t give it because they spent more than an hour on my car─a definite lie. He lied to them and to me (cost of switch, switch is problem).Midas headquarters refused to help me, saying: Jeff’s is a franchise and Midas is not responsible for them.IMPORTANT - LEGALLY:a) If a consumer buys products and services based on the brand or company name, the manufacturer and headquarters should be responsible for company employees, franchise holders.b) It does not state on store’s website and not in the store that they are a franchise. It’s not possible for customers to know Midas will not help with problems customers have with this store.c) Midas will not stand by their their guarantee, which states:“Trust the Midas Touch®.”(Exactly what I did and my experience proved I CANNOT trust Midas!)“Midas is committed to earning your trust by providing the expertise, value and responsiveness you expect. (They did not provide what I expected, what Jeff promised or what I paid for)“Mdas has always stood by our pledge to do right by you and your car.”(They refuse to “do right” by me or my car)This is deceit and fraud. Not worth even one star!

After 15 minutes of self puffery, disparaging other area shop owners as guidos, and acting condescending towards the largely hispanic staff... 2hrs and just under $250 for an oil change and replacing a valve cover gasket: didnt estimate correctly and fudged the bill. Spend more time talking yourself up and it might convince your customers to try it out one more time.

I went to Midas for estimate on my car that was falling apart. Parts alone estimated to be $200.00 and hold on to your hats!! Labor $459.00. I couldnt believe it!Took my lil car to Oxnard at Mechanic shop only paid $160 for labor.

Came here for my last oil change. They also replaced my brake pads and flushed my transmission fluids as they needed to be done.

Really terrible experience other day.
