Emma (I remembered her name) and the other young ladies was so professional, helpful and friendly. They made my day helping me find things, measuring, and letting me know how to get coupons. I want to say to them, THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Didnt quite have something I was after (gold cutting ribbon) but had something interesting to use instead (its a girl! Curling ribbon) and I found a coupon on the website while I waited for checkout that saved me 40% off. Helpful staff. Some sections were poorly stocked, apparently Everyones painting now. Clearance was alluring but I made it out without impulse purchases.

I usually enjoy shopping at this store, but management has been horrible.Hayden was my cashier(who was wonderful and courteous. Couldnt say enough food things on how she Handels this situation!), and when I joined the line, it was long and the person they were helping had an issue with a fabric cut. The manager took over the transaction on another register, but then proceeded to berate the cashier about needing the customers in line to wait so that she could show the cashier how to properly notate about a fabric cut but then says the fabric table is in charge of that notation? I shouldnt know any of this! This should have all been handled behind the scenes because it was obvious the cashier was a little stressed from the line forming in front of them. I have been in retail for over 11 years and what that manager (older, long grey hair) did was extremely uncalled for.This is not the first incident with this manager I have had.I dont know how long this person has been a manager, but maybe they need to take some management classes so they can learn to treat people like humans and not their pawns.I see why this store has had so much turnover, I wouldnt stay either.

Went with a friend just browsing then noticed a sale on yarn 🧶(we are crochet buddies) and went nuts i still have yarn from that sale i got this HUGE skein of yarn. Also loved their fabric i have a sewing machine but havent learned to sew yet.

JoAnns always has some interesting supplies. I often find block printing ink and Sal gets fabric at decent prices, use the coupons. This last visit we worried they were going out of business cause so many shelves were bare but were told they are going with new brands of many products. Stay tuned if these are improvements.

Every customer service person was absolutely lovely to talk to and very informative. I cant overstate how helpful Sarah in particular was (give her a raise!). Wide variety, clean space, has been a favorite spot for years!

They even took a bolt of fabric out to my car so I could match my headliner.

Joann Fabrics is a national chain that serves as a hobby story. With thongs like arts and crafts, books, and plenty of fabrics as well, you can find most of your hobby needs here. They are known for their good prices but also their coupons (that you should always be looking for before you go inside). The service here is really good, lots of nice employees who are very helpful.

Im working on a some projects curtains for my new apartment and a blanket for my son and was in the area with my husband thought I see what they had.My husband went to look for a thimble and I headed towards the fabric section. I saw an associate helping someone with some fabric so I decided to wait till she finished since I didnt see too many associates in the store.I saw someone, who happened to be the manager Angela and asked if they worked here (by the way she didnt have a name tag on so I wasnt sure). She said yes but kept walking away. I said I need help finding lining for curtains and is there a curtain section. She pointed towards an aisle without even stopping or looking at me and said in there and went up to the associate who was helping someone in fabric. Angela then interrupted the associate to ask if she wanted to work late because she (Angela) didnt. The associate agreed and Angela walked away. I still was having some difficulty because the aisle she sent me down was for curtains but the aisle was for the hardware not curtain lining material. I came out of the aisle and saw Angela again and repeated my request and she said its down there pointing again. I understand that we have to keep safe distances but it would have been easier and better for me if she had gone to the aisle and showed me rather than just pointing. I asked if she could show me which she did and promptly walked off talking about how she has to take her lunch.My husband and I then went to find a needle I needed to finish the blanket I was working on for my son. I was a bit overwhelmed by all the selections. I went to the associate at the cloth cutting table again and asked if she could assist me. She was finished with the last customer and said of course and came over. Her name was Hannah I know this because she had her name tag on. She asked me what I was working on I told her and she made a few suggestions and walked me to the items keeping a safe distance. While I was with my husband and Hannah Angela came up to us mind you not a safe distance and told Hannah she had to take her break so that she can take her lunch or she wasnt going to get one. I asked Angela was she telling this associate to leave and not help me Angela said she would help me. I said no Id rather not (due to how shehelped me earlier) and asked Angela her name. She told me and said she was the manager. I thanked Hannah and said Ill see how this works. My husband asked me why I was upset as we were going to the register to pay and for the items. I told him what happened earlier with Angela when I was looking for the lining. He said she helped him find the thimble I needed even pointing out how it was like a croc for your thumb. I told him she wasnt helpful with me like that. By the way I am Black and a person with disability and my husband is white.

Overpriced, understaffed, slow and really bad music. Update: this store is the only choice for many of these items if you can’t wait to order online. The staff here tries with what they have. The corporate management could try to be less greedy possibly and staff the stores better. Look at Home Depot for example. There’s some life to people there. I’ll bet the staff here could be paid better too. Just some suggestions for corporate.

My go to for crafts store! I love the selection of everything they have. I primarily crochet and I love the Bernat blanket yarn which they have tooonnnsss of. Lots of yarn thicknesses and color choices. They have many brands, I just prefer Bernat. They often have sales as well so I wait to buy more material during sales. Employees are super friendly and always are willing to help locate items and show you around and recommend items.

Nice, clean, and organized store. The staff are very friendly and enthusiastic. There are various supplies with good price for crafts, especially fabric and sewing supplies. I bought some stitches and and threads to fix my clothes. The qualities are very good. I also found big sale on polymer clay, so I bought a lot.

Joanns supplies ALL of my crafting needs. They provide instruction classes as well. The sales are great and the atmosphere is as well. I love shipping there.

Friendliest staff ever.

No knowledge of their own products and an unwillingness to help customers. The person I was informed was their manager was indifferent to me in person and later aggressive with another associate over the earpiece they were wearing. This place used to be one of my favorite craft locations, I would drive half an hour out of my way just to go here. But it looks like most of the staff has changed. I would personally no longer recommend it, my experience today was terrible.

Staff although minimal due to covid, was extremely helpful and polite. I was picking out fabric to make new curtains for my home. They helped me determine the amount of fabric needed to fit my windows.

Fabric is only an accessory here! They have EVERYTHING, including a super helpful and always pleasant staff. They moved into Bellevue town now, bigger store and way better parking. Check them out for any project!

It doesnt have a great stock to chose from. Their fabric selection has gone down hill over the last few years and the crafts section is equally disappointing.

Nice, small store with a friendly staff!I find this store to be very helpful, especially in these difficult times. Many customers have been coming in to purchase supplies for making masks, and they have been great about giving suggestions and steering people away from items that are wrong for the purpose. Recent posts complaining about service or staff have been unfair to the staff. I am in this store fairly regularly during normal times so I tend to judge them not on one visit, but by taking it all in. When I need more or just want to spend a couple of hours browsing I go to the big store in Lynnwood, but oftentimes I find this store - my local store - to be more than adequate for my needs. And they have been just fine when I need supplies for masks for myself and for my friends that I am helping.

They were not very helpful. I asked 3 different people for advice and did not receive efficient information as to what I was after.

I wish I could give zero stars. Never have I ever been treated so poorly at a store. I understand that we are in difficult times right now but that does not give you the right to be flat out rude. When I asked for help I was told to back up then told to speak up since they couldn’t hear me, I was practically yelling through my mask. I appreciate the people who are working in stores and risking their health but you can do it in a nice way. If you don’t want to be working than don’t, give a job to someone that will be kind. The whole store gave off bad energy. I will not be returning to this Joann Fabrics. If you dare brace it, good luck.

I love this location but it seems like most of the time nothing is stocked on the shelves. And some of the staff makes you feel like youre bothering them if you ask for help. But, there is a lot of parking, and its a pretty large store compared to most.

They finally have hired more cashiers and the service there is definitely improved.

Great service, friendly staff, and just a well rounded positive energy field when I walked in. Clean store as well to a great selection of sewing machines. One was purchased to upgrade a lady in india whos broke down. It also was a foot peddle one. This was part of my non profit called Knights of the Round table Charity commitments in helping people below and in poverty.

We went for florals and found clay pots and a great selection of paints too. Homemade decor is the best!

Next best crafts store after hobby lobby.

I came in for paint, brushes and tacky glue to continue working on my dollhouse. They had everything I needed and a great prices. Besides crafts supplies the do carry some home and garden decor as well as baking supplies (molds and decorations.) it’s smaller than a much larger national brand store and therefore not as overwhelming. Big plus is that they’re open on Sundays.

Usually this is the place to get the crafting supplies you need... This time I went in for Acid-free tissue/paper to preserve an article of clothing... Nope, they carry nothing of the sort. Fabrics galore, but nothing to help preserve what you make. Odd that.

Went there yesterday and there was an employee who was NOT wearing a mask, touching her face, touching the product, not social distancing. Just generally everything you are NOT supposed to do right now.Going to another craft store so I dont run into her and her coronavirus spreading behavior.But Iwas able to find what I needed, after some assistance.

This is my favorite JoAnns to shop at! The layout of the store is very customer friendly. Parking is plentiful and the staff have always been happy to help! More staff support would be great if the company is able to provide it.A HUGE shout out to Lissy, who went way, way, way out to help me find some beads! She was amazing with juggling the register, checking the back stock as well as the new shipments. Best Help EVER!!!

I love their space and ways how to treat their customers. The staffs are very nice and helpful. It is a great store. If you do deal with fashion business, you must go!

Oh my, what a negative vibe in this store. The first experience, I heard the fabric cutting person harshly telling a customer as the customer placed her bolt of cloth to be cut, to back off and that she felt incomfortable with the distancing. Then, an older woman who acted like the manager was harshly talking to employees. Lastly, as I was placing my items on the counter to purchase, I was told in a rude way to step behind the red line. Was very difficult to place certain items on the counter at that distance. I was wearing a mask trying to do my part. What a negative, negative experience. I realize we are living in trying times but with this type of behavior you will drive customers away.

Tons of selections. I could get lost in the store for hours. Joanns also has an app so you can get updates on sales.

Mixed feelings about this one - the store itself is fine, smaller than others but has most of what you need for the various types of crafting. Like other reviews have said, they operate on very few staff. Usually I only see 2-3 people visibly. The cashiers tend to be slow, and the fabric cutting depends whos working. But not much of an issue otherwise. The problem I have is with one particular employee (possibly the same from an earlier review about the end of a bolt of fabric). Shes very vocally rude to other employees and customers and gets really sharp and mean - Ive watched her while waiting in lines and also been a subject of it (she thought I was a caller on the phone and didnt realize I was standing there hearing her yell complaints about people asking for help finding things). A couple days ago she was saying disparaging remarks about the store/sale signs and muttering (loudly) about various complaints to a customer she was helping. She was slamming the bolt of fabric down and the scanner and everyone in line was visibly uncomfortable. When the other employee had a question she responded like they were stupid. After a while she calmed down and became more personable with the customer. Every time I go I hope I dont need her help or encounter her but shes usually there. I worked retail for years - it sucks, I get it, but her attitude is AWFUL for a place where people are usually pretty nice and helpful to each other and she really makes me want to shop elsewhere.

I feel like Im handing out top marks for most improved, because thats exactly what Im doing. This place used to be a MESS. The huge tables stacked with bolts of fabric are gone and replaced by navigable racks! The employees are findable! The cashiers are quicker and friendlier! Its obvious there was a huge change somewhere, and its really paid off.

Great store serving the fabrics and hobby niche. Helpful people, a good variety and some odd-ball stuff you might not expect to find in a fabric store all add to their charm. Plenty of nearby parking makes it easy to pop in for a quick visit.

Bad service on the floor. When you need help, just a simple question where things are and you got a short white haired lady trying to get away and ignore you, who maybe hates her job, WHY even hire this person. Shes a waste!

Fabric stores are not what they used to be. Tons of quilting fabric, some stretch synthetics, not much in the way of quality dressmaking fabrics. A basic selection of notions, nothing available in bulk. Way too much cheap unoriginal home decor items. Wasnt this supposed to be a crafts supply store once? Good in a pinch for a last minute small project, but no competition for what can be found online or at an indie store.

Literally the worst customer service i have ever experienced. I saw a customer who realized at checkout she couldnt afford some extra yarn. Not only the cashier but also the manager angrily sighed at the customer and i heard them cursing under their breath as they went to put away the voided item. I would excuse this as having a bad day if the staff had not treated every question i asked like i was asking them to move a mountain. Never shopping here again.

The selection is okay, service is poor. I called a few days ago to inquire if they had a pattern in stock. The man who answered the phone sounded very rushed (perhaps they are short staffed...). I asked him if they had the pattern in stock, but before I could give him the number of the pattern, he put me on hold for a good 3-5 minutes. He then picked up the phone and said they dont have it in stock and abruptly hung up without giving me the chance to say anything... It was straight up rude.Then today I went in to buy some fabric. The young, blonde woman with glasses who was cutting my fabric seemed annoyed to be working there, and another customer interrupted her as she was cutting my fabric. She started getting snarky with the customer and it was kind of uncomfortable...It looks like this location is hiring, and they could really use some reliable/customer service savvy people to work there. Id shop there more often if it didnt feel like I was a nuisance for existing.

As always the clerks were very knowledgeable about their products.

I love you and I hate you. I want to love Jo-Anns with their abundant crafting supplies, frequent coupons, and tons of Made in China goodness, but I find myself getting livid at each visit. It starts out great: I hop in there and find exactly what I need. I start browsing and dreaming of all of the projects I am going to get to eventually. I decide it is time I stock up now just in case I get a burst of creativity and time so that I will have all supplies for any number of projects on hand. I can hardly boil water, but I am going to take up cake decorating! I have a 900 sq. foot house but I am definitely going to be making a wood shop and painting little projects! My cart is bulging and my motivation is sky high as I round the corner and see it. Its the one thing that RUINS every freaking Jo-Anns trip. Its the thing that makes me want to stab out my eyeballs with knitting needles! Its...THE LINE. People love Jo-Anns and they are going to shop, so having ONE clerk (who is very nice but quite slow) is not going to cut it. Sometimes they will call up a second cashier, but that is rare. I waited in line 25 minutes (I kid you not, I had my phone out for the coupon and the clock kept taunting me). I wanted to bail on my cart and the whole experience, but where else was I going to find 3,000 pipe cleaners and cake pop molds? Turns out, when I got home, one of the items didnt work for me and I needed to return it. I bought it three days prior; it was unopened; I had the original receipt, I was ready to go! I zoomed in there and realized that returns have to wait in the same line as purchases. I waited a lifetime and eventually returned my item (quickly, and with no hassle - thanks!) and left. I have been here a dozen times and it always the same story. Please let me love you! Why wont you let me love you?

Cool place, they have more than fabric. All sorts off cool things leave the old lady at home.

Staff is extremely helpful!

It is still one of the fabric stores that remain locally where you can find some sewing supplies. I am saddened by the closing of so many fabric stores in the last few years. That issue has caused my wife to turn to online suppliers but it is so much nicer to be able to go into a local fabric retailer, like Joann Fabrics and hand select off the bolts the materials you like. Hang in there, we still need the local brick and mortar stores.

This store constantly looks like it is in close out mode. The staff constantly acts like they are about to be shut down. Perhaps they are all on probation for their poor attitudes. Perhaps JoAnn is forgiving of basic customer service skills in their employees. Perhaps this store has simply lost respect for the city of Shoreline and its residents who are, in fact, KEEPING THE LIGHTS ON AT THIS PLACE.I just wasted my last 30 minutes in this store. After searching for mirrors, I found ONE. I picked up several other odds and ends. Stood in line behind 2 people with 1 checker helping 1 person for 10 minutes.When I get to the register, ONLY THEN does an employee tell me that their credit card system has crashed, and they are only accepting cash or check.NEVER. AGAIN. Theres a better one in Lynnwood at 196th. If you can get there, do it, youll save yourself so much trouble.

Pros: One Staff member offered me a solution for my project since they didn’t have what I needed. Cons: empty store! Very little stock on hand. Looks like the supply truck hasn’t been in a long time.

I like to come to JOANN Fabrics and crafts to find what I am looking for. All the other arts and crafts stores that I looked at in the area did not have it but this store did tissue paper. There is a wide selection of things to look at I will be hoping to come back more often. One bad thing the day that I came in the line was pretty long and I look over the shelf and here was only 1 lady working at the register. Come on There was only 3 people working at the store! we waited and waited and finally someone else came over to help. This place is understaffed. But other than that for being the only store that I can find the item that I was looking for not bad selection!

Cool store with a wide variety of arts and crafts and home decorations including holiday items. They are mainly a fabric store and with that they have a very good selection of fabrics of all types. They also have educational toys, models, cooking items, drawing supplies, etc. And the employees are pretty helpful.

If you need fabric, this is the place. There used to be one closer to us that closed. Hope we dont lose this one.

Parking is available in plenty. Store is well stocked and neatly arranged. Staff helpful.

A good place to start looking for general crafting supplies. I dont sew but they have a solid selection of those basics too, of course. Ive begun a lot of crafting projects at JoAnn. There just arent a lot of other options for crafting and hobbies in Seattle.

Fabulous crafts, sewing, photo framing, cake decorating/baking supplies, jewelry stuff,scrapbooking, holiday decorations, party decorations and so many more hobby supplies!! I adore the coupon in the app, the specials, and wandering so my creativity can go wild! Staff is super helpful. Only drawback is that checking out can sometimes be a bit slow.

This is a smaller store than some of the others, but they still have a great selection. It was right before Christmas, so a bit insane, but they kept the line moving at a good clip and were very friendly.

Best place to spend the day. Clerks are helpful and helpful. If l could ld be there everyday. Would love to work there if l could. Love to touch and smell fabric.

Good knowledgeable reps in store. But there was no greeting upon entering and the store felt sleepy. They were out of many of the jewelry making supplies that I came for and no one could tell me where I could find what I was looking for. Otherwise, I had an ok experience in this particular store.

The fabric selection is really good, they have a decent amount of craft supplies, parking is great, and there are almost always sales going on.Only negative thing is that they ran out of bags, so customers had to buy them (reusable bags are nice, though). Ah, and it looks like the store is closed for construction, but it is not.

One of my favorite places for arts n crafts..create an account online n they send you coupons all the time and they have sales n clearance all the time. Staff is friendly n the place is always clean. Plenty of parking. Must go..

Needed help with design wall. Only 2 salespeople in the whole store. Lady behind the register, young man behind the cutting counter. I asked the man and he didnt even know what a design wall was. So I asked the lady to call someone else out. No one else there, but just then the manager came in. Another man. Complained about the young man not knowing what a design wall was, and then the manager asked me what a design wall was also. At that point, I just walked out. Get someone in who can help customers!
