When I have the time I travel 30 minutes for a black&white. Great stuff and they are always friendly

Coffee was great. I drank a latte that had the perfect amount of milk. My daughter said her hot chocolate was really good. The seating was comfortable. It wasnt too loud for quiet conversation nor was it too quiet. Good ambient sound level. The service was good. Baristas were prompt and amicable. It really is a nice coffee shop. My only critique is that the suggested tip levels of 25, 50, and 100% at checkout seemed like unrealistic expectations; enough so that I tipped less than I usually would. Setting a primacy bias or an anchor amount is a good strategy for increasing tips, but only if those amounts, or at least most of them, are realistic. This detail is the only part of my visit that wasnt great. Otherwise, an excellent coffee shop.

I love a good coffee shop! More than that, I love a well functioning, customer driven experience. The Paddock offers exactly that; an excellent customer driven experience with an excellent selection of coffees. There plenty of room to pull up a chair at the big coffee bar, or you can relax in any of their comfortable chairs appropriately placed. The building is spacious and beautiful. Historic and restored to a beautiful luster that invites you in and makes you appreciate how much time and effort has gone into making the owners dreams come true. Theres also a mini food bar with delicious homemade sweets for dipping in your coffee or just eating on the go. Theres a beautiful event space in the next room and even an AirBNB above the coffee shop thats breathtakingly beautiful. This brand new coffee shop adds some amazing southern charm and fierce competition for their respective market. The entire staff are all incredibly sweet and very responsive. They understand that theyre new and theyre still working some minor kinks out, so theyre seeking out and listening to customer feedback to help mold the business into the best that it can be. Amazing people, amazing products, amazing space, amazing experience. We love going to The Paddock and you will too.

Very friendly and helpful staff, excellent coffee, the music was just loud enough to hear it and the seating was comfortable.

I was there on Saturday the 24 th of July ordered a chicken croissant and some cherry? Both were very good. It looked to be a very nice place to relax and enjoy coffee and lunch. I will visit again

Excellent lunch. The treats are outstanding...cherry, strawberry, peach, pecan...I could never choose just 1. Barristers and staff are hospitable and friendly. Well go again, and often! You should go to The Paddock.

An excellent coffee shop with a pleasant relaxing atmosphere. I am very particular about coffee and the coffee here is amazing! The baristas are professionally trained and pull some incredible espresso!!!

Had a really great time stopping in here today! The atmosphere is warm and cozy (which is great since the weather was definitely NOT warm and cozy). Beautifully appointed space, with well-themed and really striking decor. The coffee smelled terrific, but unfortunately I had to switch to tea a few years back. The good news is they have a terrific selection of teas to choose from, and the Black Tea was delicious!The food was also baked on site, and looked amazing. I tried a bit of everything my family ordered and it was all fantastic. My wife tried the white chocolate peppermint mocha and was in heaven. My kids tried some of the fancier hot chocolate peppermint iced whatevers (haha I never know the name of these things, but they looked really fancy and tasted out of this world) and loved them--of course my teenagers iced coffee drink lasted all of three seconds, but that means he loved it. My kids were actually behaving, so thats a big thumbs up from them(and makes us parents appreciate it even more).While everything is delicious, the atmosphere in here is second-to-none! Cozy, comfortable, and feels like home--I was sad to leave, but hopefully will be passing through this way again (there was an amazing looking air-bnb directly above this that I might have to check into).If you want a great place to meet friends, a quiet place to relax or just an escape from life for a few minutes the Paddock is where you want to be!

Really nice new addition to downtown Shelbyville. Clean and offering a variety of coffees and baked goods. Staff is very pleasant and barista spent quite a bit of time with us showing us how to do a poor-over. Very appreciated.

Absolutely the best coffee and 100 mile radius. They offered two types of coffee and I like the variety of pastries that they offered. They had a few “gluten friendly” options for my wife which was a great surprise.The ambience in the space is amazing it is worth the detour off the interstate to get your “caffeine kick” for those long drives. I’ll come back here.

Wonderful people, Very polite and friendly. Establishment is alway clean and tidy. My girls love to come here for a baked treat while get a delicious mocha.

I love the atmosphere and service. The sweets and pastries are top notch and fresh. Two suggestions from an old coffee drinker; your large coffee size is too small for the price. Compare the cup price wise to Starbucks or the competition down the street on Main and youll see youre delivering a medium at best for quite a bit more than their large. I asked for an endless in a large to go today because I couldnt stay and enjoy the wonderful ambience of your shop and still got a medium for over $4.00. Second suggestion is to have a warming oven on site so you can serve those incredible pastries warm. THANK YOU FOR OPENING SUCH A BEAUTIFUL PLACE TO RELAX WITH FRIENDS IN SHELBYVILLE!

One of the most aesthetic coffee shops I have ever seen that provided a great experience. An amazing pour over cup of coffee, great building, and great discussion with the owners, what more could you ask for?

I love a good cup of joe, but this wasn’t it. My husband got me a pumpkin spice latte and he got a white chocolate moca. Both drinks tasted like a farm house coffee and lacked the flavor we asked for. On top of that we chose medium drinks, which were the size of a small at a Starbucks or Dunkin Donuts and it was $10.10. The quality was not there and the coffee is over priced. For once in my life I could have went to Starbucks and got a better and cheaper drink. As far as a plain cup of coffee goes it was good, but I didn’t order a plain cup of coffee
