Dave was great to work with. We had a lot of timely communication before and during the project. His crew built a retaining wall on the front/side of our house and installed landscape lighting. Exposed wiring after install and wire was not connected. They covered the exposed wiring the next day but half the lights still do not work. Asked Dave to come and fix but would not repair without charging additional service fee. Repeatedly messaged me to leave a review, almost desperate and not a good way to operate. I was impressed and happy at the speed at which they came and fixed the lights the first time but obviously not happy with the end result and poor workmanship.

I contacted Dave and his company about repairing existing landscape lighting installed prior to me owning this home. I contacted other contractors that for some reason did not follow up. I’m so glad I found Dave’s company. He was responsive, polite and talked through how he could assist me with fixing my landscape lighting as well as installing new fixtures. He provided a quote and came out as promised, leaving me with beautiful, working landscape lighting. Even after a small issue, I was able to call him and it was fixed immediately. I plan to utilize this company for the future improvements around my home!

We had landscape uplighting installed by Platinum. They were professional to work with. Did the work within a couple of days of giving us an estimate. We are very happy with the lighting. It adds lighting around the house and makes the house look great. They also did some landscaping work for an area we get standing water in. The work looks great, but really wont know how well that works until we get a decent amount of water. Overall, all they did looks great and I would use them again and would recommend them to someone that needs that kind of work done.

David was time every time. From our first meeting he was professional and knowledgeable. I am always a skeptic when working with a service company for the first time. David was very understanding of that. He made a plan and executed it as promised. He was right not only do we love our new dry creek and flagstone walkway, we agree with David’s vision that the added lights to our trees pull it all together. We will be sure to call again when ready for the next phase!!!

I DO NOT recommend Platinum Outdoor Concepts. I work with contractors all the time in my job. It isnt a matter of a company never having something come up, its bound to happen at some point, its how the company or person responds when issues do arise. With Dave Woodring, expect HORRIBLE customer. I would definitely not recommend using them for anything.I needed to have my sump pump line buried with a French drain because it was causing issues in my new neighbors yard. Also, I decided to have the downspouts buried as well. Finally, because my driveway was being replaced I figured now would be a perfect time. I have a sprinkler system, so I confirmed with Dave prior to the driveway repairs being completed that they would be able to move the lines out. I wasnt sure exactly where they were, except for 1, which was 6 from the driveway. I also provided him a copy of the sprinkler system map left by the prior owner. He stated that the lines were typically about 1 to 1.5 from the driveway, which they were to be widening the driveway about 2.5 out on each side. He said, not a problem, all of his guys have the tools to do this. He took a photo of the map and provided it to his employees. They also confirmed with me that they had the maps.Once complete the concrete worker told me Dave would be sending someone out later in the week to relay the lines. I checked with him and he stated they werent working, therefore he didnt have to do anything. I provided him with the sellers disclosures stating they were working on 10/29 when winterized, confirmed with my neighbor they were working last summer and provided him a report from the tech who serviced the system 3 times a year at minimum for the last 5 years confirming they were working. When I had the lines turned on (which he told me not to do prior to the driveway being replaced) the 1 head the left on one side is still working as well as the heads after the ones removed on the right side of the driveway are working.I received no response until I sent him one of the Ring videos I have where we were specifically talking about the sprinklers. Shortly after he watched it I received a message on 4/20 from Dave stating:Jesse - I will be in touch this week in order to try and get this resolved. - Dave Woodring - Platinum Outdoor ConceptsThe next I heard from him was 4/23:I can swing by next week in the Morning and take a look at what we can do to come to an agreement with the work done. - Dave Woodring - Platinum Outdoor ConceptsI sent him a message asking when I never received a response. I have still not received any response.2 things were requested with my driveway, I told him I didnt want to widen it if they were not able to relocate the lines and I wanted the line to be centered on the garage door. I was assured both would happen. Neither did.I was hoping he would do the right thing and fix the sprinkler system, however that has not happened.All the issues include:1. The sprinkler system an issue. This will be a $1900 fix due to 2 zones needing to be rebuilt (they buried one of the valve boxes) and 1 new line run for a third zone.2. the center line that is off center3. massive cracks in the street at the end of the driveway4. he massive ruts in my yard, side yard and front yard. I expected some mess, however the damage is excessive. They put seed and hay out in my friends yard after they were complete.5. they left a large pile of roots for me to figure our how to dispose of them as Missouri does not pick up yard waste. I ended up getting LawnCorp service to pick it up.6. 2 pipe left completely open into a 4 pipe for the French drain system and they didnt have the right tools to get through the roots to take the line to the street like Dave said they would, so they stopped it halfway to the street. Its now messing up my neighbors yard in a new place.

Platinum did some landscaping in my backyard. Great job! They were able to start the work immediately and finished in a timely fashion. Already getting compliments from the neighbors. One asked for the owner’s business card so he could get an estimate on some work. Highly recommended!

Hired Platinum Outdoor to take out several large trees along a fence row to open up view to our new digital signage. Bid process was simple, just emailed them some pictures of what I needed cut down. Received an email bid back that came in lower than I expected so I went for it. They started the next Monday and were finished with all debris gone by the next morning. Made the entire process a breeze. Professionals for sure with fair/affordable prices. You wont be sorry you hired them.

Dave and his team were quick to respond to our request for landscaping help. They took our yard from looking drab to fab :) Seriously though...came up with a clean look, quality job and listened to what we needed for up lighting on the house, tear out of old bushes/trees and new vision to an area that was cluttered before. New trees, mulch, rock, etc. And repair work to a previous patio we had done a few years before by another company. We are pleased!

We called multiple companies to get a quote and Dave at Platinum Outdoor Concepts was by far the most professional and responsive. He was able give feedback and ideas that improved our project based on his experience and knowledge and he was flexible in having to do most communication via email and phone due to the quarantine. The pricing was very reasonable and competitive and the materials and products used are high quality and put together well. Dave had estimated it would take over a week to be able to start on our project but we were happily surprised when he called and said theyd be available earlier. Once the crew started they worked quickly and knocked out the entire project in just two afternoons. The end result is a garden we are proud of and major improvement to the curb appeal of our home. We would definitely recommend and work with Dave at Platinum Outdoor Concepts again.

Platinum Outdoor Concepts replies quickly to my request to provide a bid for a repair of a sunken area in my river rocked landscaping near my house. Dave Woodring provided a bid for the work I knew was needed, and he also mentioned the potential for a buried drain that, if punctured, could’ve caused the sinking. His bid was a reasonably close to the others I received, but was only a picture with two circles drawn on the areas that needed attention; then a dollar figure cost for the job without the drain pipe issue and with the drain pipe fixed.It would have been better to have an itemized list of materials/labor, dirt/AB/sand backfill tang tamping and all requests from our initial call/visit. The work was done quickly and the drain was found to be punctured as he suspected. He even sent me a picture of the buried damaged pipe. The other parts of the bid were not done as requested. The river rock was still not leveled and there was not a positive grade away from the house as requested. When I mentioned this and submitted pictures pointing out the areas that needed fixed, Dave initially did not agree. But then he agreed to send his crew out right away and fixed it as requested. I then paid and requested an invoice marked “Paid”. I received that in a few days. Overall the job was done and

Dave and his men were very nice to work with, very professional. Dave responded to my inquiry quickly which I was impressed with. He arrived on time (actually 15 mins early), which also was nice. His crew installed up lighting for our back yard along fence line, along with transformer and did a really nice job. We love it. Really added a nice touch to our outdoor pool area. Update on my initial review. I am actually rather disappointed now. The cord came up twice in 3 different areas. They did not bury the cord but like 3 inches. They came out and attempted to fix it, but it was right back. Then one of the lights got ran over by the mower and I texted Dave to see what he wanted. Now only the light was damaged and I had the replacement light her and only 2 wires had to be connected and the light put back in the ground. They want 200.00 to do this. I am so shocked. Dave justified that with every job he sends out 2 guys. This was by no means a 2 man job. I did get the electrician to do and it cost me 45.00. So I will now not do business with these folks again. That was a total lets take advantage of an ole gal.

New to the area and using a fire place, I had been purchasing bundles from a gas station across the street which became costly because it lights up like paper and doesnt last very long. Browsing Facebook swap shop I saw that Platinum Outdoor Concepts was selling their bundles for half of what the gas stations were so I went ahead and bought several bundles because Dave cut me a great deal. On top of not feeling ripped off like I did at the gas station, David also met my specific requests on shorter pieces of wood since my fireplace in my apartment is smaller than a normal one. Upon taking the wood home, I had a more difficult time getting it to ignite compared to other bundles purchased from other distributors. Once I got it lit, I noticed that the wood POC carries burns hotter and lasts so much longer than other logs I have tried even from other individual firewood cutters. My apartment is so warm that I have to crack my patio door sometimes. I wont be purchasing my wood anywhere else. Also Dave Woodring is super professional and awesomely friendly, so its no wonder he has been in business as long as he has.
