I love this place. This place is not corporate owned and they won me over with customer service. Friendly faces and very knowledgeable. I have an electric apu on my semi. Ive had nothing but problems with batteries since I bought it. Chris and the guys here are amazing. They sold me 8 batteries for my truck and let me use their tools to install them on my truck. Yes it cost me $2200 dollars for batteries but I went from having my ac run for 3 hours before my batteries were dead. To now its well over 15 hours before they are getting low.
Excellent service. They ordered a Lithium battery for my Suzuki Burgman. Came in a few days. They have always had better prices than my Suzuki dealer. And my new battery has a 3 year warranty. If I had bought bit from the dealer the same battery would have been $50+ more and only a one year warranty.

Around 12:30-1:30pm today the young man I talked to on the phone earlier had helped me out proper. I appreciate that type of service right now a TON! I just started a new Maintenance Manager position. Im overwhelmed... up to my neck in it. The last guy did more harm than good... I have so much work to be done. THIS KID was a godsend for being so helpful today .. now I know those are F- connectors... (he was knowledgeable & helpful, even carried the batteries to my car.... & it wasnt light... I was caring them around installing them). We usually use HDSupply for our hotel. From now on all batteries will be bought through Batteries Plus... good thing I just started, that was my first bulk battery order. Brought my phone in for a repair. They fixed the camera but then it stopped working a few days later. When I brought it back in they would not work on it unless I paid for the camera again. They claimed that I must have damaged the phone in those 4 days. Not true. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone. Very sketchy. Lots of young kids working on phones that seemed very inexperienced. Very shady.

I went to get batteries for my taser, the very polite gentleman pointed out batteries. Then proceed to tell me my batteries shouldnt be bad. He offered to test them and did, they were in fact good. Then tested my taser with new batteries. Well taser was bad. He saved me $20 on batteries, and let me know where I can get a new better taser..I will most definitely shop here again. 5star awesomeness!!!!!! Extremely satisfied!!!!!

I liked being able to make an appointment online, walk in and have my phone repaired. Very quick and easy. The person who assisted me at the desk was pleasant and professional. I did not like the fact that when I walked in, I was told that they had to check to make sure the battery I needed was in stock. If it had not been, my trip would have been wasted.

Excellent store to get car batteries! Bought myself the top-of-the-line, Duracell Ultra Gold, which has cold cranking amp of 700! Duracell is an American company owned by Berkshire Hathaway, Omaha, NE. The Batteries+Bulbs customer service rep installed the battery for me. I move a lot for work so every time I need any type of batteries, I always go to a nearby Batteries+Bulbs store. They offer rebates, which helps me save money.

Everything was just fine. I showed up right after ordering online, so I think the system hadnt yet registered my order. But, both store associates were very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Even with the lag time of my order getting into the system, they were able to fill my order in just a short time. I experienced no problems at all.
Reasonable price. Ordered online and got it and out with no trouble. I needed a golf cart battery and not just anyone has that.
I initially thought I had a good experience. I took in my iPhone 6s with cracked screen to be fixed. this was in late November. Repair was quick and when I left phone was working although I did pop into store to check on the repair and the tech in the back did seem very nervous and irritated when a employee checked on repair for me. It seemed as if the fix wasnt going as planned for him, but when repair was done phone turned on and worked. Within a few days I started having battery issues the battery would drain quickly or just randomly shut off when battery life was over half full. The repair was done in November and I moved to Wichita in December. As of now phone wont take any charge at all and went to another repair place to have phone looked at and the screws were striped and couldnt be removed. I would not recommend this store for any phone repairs. My phone was new in June and even with the cracked screen it worked great. I got it repaired and now phone wont even turn on or take charge. DO NOT use this store for repairs.

I have bought car & lawnmower batteries here before, but recently I found a car battery at one of its competitors for less money. The competor wanted $80.00 for the same brand of battery (different model). It had better cold cranking amps, much better specs for a lot less money. The batterys + bulbs battery was $119.00 on sale. The guy I talked to said thats a good battery (referring to the other guys battery) when I tried to see if I could get a better discount on their battery. He insinuated I should buy the other guys battery. So I did. A week or so later, I went by there to drop off a couple of lithium batteries. The guy wanted to charge me to recycle them. I started to walk out, said I just wanted to do the right thing and recycle them, and I would go across the street. He shot back that they would charge me too. They did not, and I kind of see why they do not seem to have much foot traffic when I do visit their stores as of late.
I frequent this store for my battery needs and have for several years although this is the first time I have written a review. I went in this morning (Saturday) to get a garage door opener fixed, it has 3 batteries. A young woman took care of me, took it apart and tested each of the batteries and I ended up buying all 3 which she installed. While I was waiting for her to do that tech work, I watched a young AA man handle customers streaming in and also the phones. Both of these workers were courteous, knowledgeable and efficient. I highly recommend this establishment.

When I do get the salespersons attention, Im informed they dont actually have that item. And yes, I did call the correct location. I double checked before making this review.The people at this store need to work on their communication skills and their inventory knowledge.

I finally found the battery I needed online. Could have paid a little less but then there is shipping to consider. B+B is a few blocks from my home so I used their store pickup option. Received the order ready email, went to the store, signed the receipt and left with the batteries. Painless!

Disappointed with the customer service at this location. I have an account with Batteries and Bulbs and have used them many times with great experiences, but this particular location was terribly unhelpful and rude while while I discussed with them what I was needing.

The only thing lacking during my visit is a cross reference between manufacturers part #s and upscaling a number. For instance, if a manufacturer part # that is for your application is a number 1, your system should reveal that a number 1A is a better product and a 1B is the best. I had an incandescent bulb and was looking for an LED or Halogen to replace it - very difficult to find.

I have been to this store several times with so so customer service for other products. I needed a watch battery replaced. When I took it in to this store I was told that they couldnt replace it because the watch had a curved face. I have never heard of this before.Ive had the battery changed many times as the watch is older. The associate was very curt with no explanation why, no apology or recommendation for another place. I used to take it to KC Digital on Antioch and never had a problem. I would go back there but I am living in Shawnee and didnt care to drive that far. I will not be returning to this store. I believe the sales associates have no customer skills whatsoever.
Everyone who works at Batteries Plus is so warm and helpful and knowledgeable. They can solve EVERY battery-related problem for any device. I now go only to them.

The ordering process was great and the product is as expected. The in-store experience was not so good. The gentleman behind the counter was rude and a pain to deal with. After walking in to pick up my online order and giving him my order confirmation number, his comment was “How can they give you a confirmation number without clearing it with me first”. This type of behavior went on through my entire store visit.

Really ZERO STARS. I Went to have my Iphone screen replaced and they broke the back light on the phone. I was going out of the country and they couldnt get it back to me in time. Had to find a temporary phone to use while I was gone and found one with a cracked screen. They said they would replace the screen on it as well. Both complimentary because of their error and all the time we have spent dealing with this. I thought great customer service. They are righting their wrong. NOPE ... not the case. They wanted the temporary phone back so they can take off the good screen and give me back the cracked screen. There was no mention of this EVER. More time wasted. Huge inconvenience all around. Never going back.
Worst customer service I have EVER experienced at a franchised retail store.This review may be long, but vital for those who value customer service, particularly when it comes to warranty service.One day I come to discover my motorcycle battery is dead, even though it had been ridden a few days prior. I had purchased the battery almost a year ago at this location and it came with 1 year warranty. I recalled it was from November, but I mistakenly forgot that I had bought it at end of October last year, just had delayed installing it for a few weeks. So now, once I notice the receipt date of purchase and that I am 4 days past warranty period, and battery is completely dead, I immediately call the store to speak with the manager. Figured Id inquire to see if theyll kindly still honor it, since I knew this was their in-house brand battery, (they are the only ones who sell it) so they VERY likely could do so. Come to hear that the manager is on vacation, and that there is an assistant manager covering for him. I leave messages requesting to speak with him since hes often out on deliveries. I then also call the corporate home office, who offers VERY good customer service and earnestly wants to help me. They hear my story and agree that yes, it IS reasonable to request warranty service given my situation and being only 4 days past, but that each store is individually franchise-owned. So, they say that it will be up to the discretion of this particular store manager. The corporate office customer service dept actually calls the store manager FOR ME to request that they give me consideration and honor the warranty. Days go by, I receive no call back. I start calling hoping to speak to assistant manager. Hes never there and he continually fails to return my calls or the several messages I leave. Then the amazing part happens - corporate office customer service starts calling me and checking in on me to see if they have contacted me. Corporate tells me that they TOO have been calling and leaving messages asking them to contact me. Then they tell me that they will try emailing the store. After another of my many calls, probably about 10 total, I learn that the store manager has finally returned from vacation. I figure maybe the assistant manager was overwhelmed with duties or was flakey, but at least now I will be able to speak to the actual manager. Then the actual manager doesnt return my calls, and again, I call at least twice a day trying to catch him.Finally I go into the store and luckily the manager is there. After a full week of both myself AND Batteries+Bulbs home office trying to elicit some sort of response from this stores management, finally I am face to face with the manager. He looks at the battery and says nope, sorry. I explain how for 10 days Ive been trying to get a response from them and no one will answer. For 10 days I have not had my transportation since theres no working battery and I am on hold until they can speak to me. Manager says, sorry, this is past warranty, theres nothing I can do. Clearly they could have honored the warranty, even the corporate office confirmed for me that they could.I have bought several things from Batteries+Bulbs locations over the years, but this particular store is has pretty much nonexistent customer service. Seek out any other location of Batteries+Bulbs, but I recommend staying far away from this one.
Purchased on line for local pickup. Exact item I needed was waiting at counter when I arrived. Matched exactly the previous battery which was left behind for recycling. Exercise bike electronics worked immediately after installation. Friendly clerk could not have been more pleasant. Repeat customer for sure.
I dont like givivg bad reviews but there is room for improvement. They have the products you need but customer service is awful. Ive been in the store several without the recognizing customers until they have been there several minutes or they have pressed them to acknowledge them. Real need for service training.

The business model of this company has an inherent problem. I ordered a battery online for my daughters car and I arrived at the Shawnee store to pick it up. There were three customers waiting but no employees to be seen. They were in the back performing gadget repairs so I waited half an hour just to take my battery which I had already paid for online. I would have bailed and headed to an auto parts store but I was stuck since I had prepaid online. They need to find a way to handle repairs while also handling customers in a timely manner who are just coming in for a quick purchase. The employee who finally helped me was brusque which backs up several other reviews. Send them to charm school or something.

If I could give zero stars, I would. This place is an absolute NIGHTMARE. If youre thinking about bringing your phone here for a repair, save yourself some time and money and just beat your phone to death with a brick, itll be more effective and satisfying than taking it to the Shawnee Batteries Plus Bulbs. Heres what I went through with these rude, unprofessional, misogynistic con-men:It was Sunday morning, I needed a new battery for my iPhone 6, and I needed it replaced before I left town at 4pm, same day. They scheduled me for 10:30, I arrived early, when they opened. Shawn/Sean took my phone, said hed have to replace the screen too, I was fine with that (they let me use multiple coupons, which is the only decent thing they did). I left, came back when he said hed be done, and he wasnt. He, and the other employees, were busy being patient and kind to every old man that walked through the door. Meanwhile, every question I asked was answered with an eye-roll and impatient tone of voice. I waited an extra 30 minutes, got my phone, paid and left. About an hour later, my phone began doing crazy things, operating itself. Opening various apps, making selections, flipping back and forth between screens, as though it was being controlled remotely. I left town, turned my phone completely off for my flight, hoping that maybe that would reset whatever was out-of-whack. It didnt. A friend said that when she had screen replacement, the same thing happened, caused by the new screen being installed too tightly (I dont know about the accuracy of her claim), so I called this location (where the work was done), they said to bring it back in when I was back in town. So I managed with a dysfunctional phone for a week, took it back to them, and was treated hella rudely by the employee working when I brought it back. They replaced the screen, and for a couple hours everything was fine. I was happy that I wouldnt have to see any of these rude men again. THEN, I was charging the phone, went to take it off the charger, and the screen wouldnt activate at all. Black screen. My phone rang, text alerts came through, but the screen wouldnt come on, wouldnt light up at all. I took it back YET AGAIN. I got to the store 10 minutes before they closed, and was treated even more rudely by the employee (started with a D, Dane or Dave, middle-aged man in thick black glasses). I told him I would call the manager, or the owner, he told me that he didnt care. He flat out said that, So? I dont care., what employee does that? How is that even anywhere on the acceptable scale of customer service? I explained that I am a caretaker for a woman with Alzheimers, and that I needed to always be reachable, for her safety, and he was no more compassionate or concerned than a rock. I left, and went to an Apple store, where I shouldve gone in the first place, and they took far better care of me than these jerks (who, btw, Apple said sold me a BOGUS AS HELL battery, direct quote), who took my money and gave me nothing in exchange but headaches, hassles, and disrespect.
