We chose Universal Stone on the advice of friends and we feel its the best decision we could have made for our kitchen granite.Jenna, our salesperson, was so easy to work with and helped us every step of the way with our vision. She is knowledgeable, friendly, and a true professional. There is also an in-house designer who was very helpful and informative. I highly recommend both of these talented people. The installers were professional, friendly, and did an amazing job installing our granite. They went above and beyond to complete our install. The completed project from start to finish exceeded our expectations. I strongly recommend Universal Stone, we plan to use their services again with our bathroom remodels.
We had a terrible experience with a sales person. Went to showroom 3/23/21 and picked outed 3 samples. We were told someone would call us back with quotes. After a week called back. Told it would take longer. Called week later and actually spoke to person who was supposed to call us. She said she was working on quotes that day. No word. Called again a week later and had to leave a message for her. No return call . I get it everyone is very busy so if u cant take any more business please tell us we will go elsewhere instead of wasting our time.
We used universal 10 years ago and again recently at our condo. Their quality is on point and consistent with each project and every piece within our projects. I was not clear on part of our project which resulted in the need to re-cut and re-polish. Without hesitation, they did so with no charge. We were on their schedule most recently for the measure within two weeks and the following week they installed. Total of three weeks. They were prompt and even early each time they came. They removed the old tops that were still in place and hauled away without any trouble. They measured perfectly to the point of adding to the backsplash height so as to cover the paint/caulk line from the old backsplash. There was no need to repaint from either of our homes. In addition, after I removed tile from behind our fireplace mantle, they were meticulous in their affords to slide the stone back underneath the mantle so there was no need to dismantle or re-build any part of it. We have been very happy with their work and their pricing is more than competitive. Their selection is as broad as anyone and if they don’t have what you want they can find it.Corey was our most recent salesman and we found him to be attentive was accurate with measuring/pricing. As with all trades, if you don’t receive a call back to your one phone call, I would suggest calling again. The only way these manufacturers are able to offer such good pricing is to accommodate and service as many customers as possible. They are busy, call again. You will be GLAD you did.
Universal Stone did a fabulous job installing granite counters in our new house! This is the second house weve used them for. We found granite at a different supplier, but Universal gave us a fair price to go ahead with the project. Also, we have a curved bar....no problem fabricating that...measurement is done with a laser-type device, which transfers the layout to their computers. All in all very reliable and honest ...Im very happy!
Robson and everyone else we worked with on the Universal team was absolutely outstanding. Everything happened as we were told it would, everyone showed up when they said they would, and everything cost exactly what we thought it would. Its so great working with true pros and I would gladly recommend Robson and Universal Stone to anyone else who cares about quality.
Well, it is like this. The countertops are beautiful. On that alone Id give a 5 review. Thought was price was reasonable. Very underwhelmed with the staff and installers. And this was before the installation. First, the center hole for the kitchen faucet was off-center. I will say they did send someone later that day. It was the installer. Made me wonder why he didnt notice it. After he left, I saw a lot of glue on the walls, paint on 4 cabinets was chipped, wall paint was chipped, gouges in the walls, a 2 crack in a wall and the stove was not put back correctly. When I let the salesperson know, she said in their business it happens and they arent liable. Two friends had countertops put in by two other companies and they both said no glue, gouges, cracks. extremely happy. As I told the salesperson, when I make a major purchased I dont expect to pay more to fix what theyve done.
This summer we had hired Universal Stone and what a tremendous decision that turned out to be!! We were VERY pleased with the craftsmanship, customer service and quality this company encompassed!! We received excellent guidance in picking out granite for our kitchen countertops and island. They were attentive with our needs, coupling our budget into the vision we had for our home. We had a problem with mismatching colors and noticed a small chip upon installation. Not only did they come back to our home upon our request but they REPLACED the entire slabs FREE OF CHARGE! The workers who were sent to our home were VERY respectful. They prioritized safety as they wore masks and made sure to abide by protocols set forth by Governor Walz. We look to support small businesses as they are the heart of our community and the backbone of our nation. If at any point in the future we find a desire to do more remodeling, Universal Stone will get that job time after time!
Great experience front to back! Our rep- Robson(RB)?? Took us through to the granite room. Levels 1-5 for pricing. We ran home to get measurements and came back. From start to finish he walked us through the process; they cut and polish on site..slabs to pick from,, sinks to pick from; edge choice..added backspash; They came out and laser measured before install and were on time. All together $4000. about 90sq ft granite. They use a plumber soley for their company to come and reattach all plumbing you pay separate. A one peice perfection install deducted 20 years from our kitchen. They were on time, gave wondows of arrival, confirmed appointments, left kitchen so clean. It is stunning. It is called Typhoon Bordeax and pricey but so worth it. Thank you !
Working with Robson and Universal Stone from getting a quote to installation couldnt have been easier! We are so happy with the service and how everything turned out. After measurements, the measurement tech made suggestions to us based on the space and provided two different drawings for us to choose from. This having been our first experience with a remodeling project, we appreciate the suggestions and input from a professional team. The Silestone quartz counters look amazing. Installation was quick and painless. Highly recommend and would definitely use Robson and his team again for future projects!
Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience with our salesperson. We had called multiple times and left messages multiple times after our measurement appointment to set up an install time (we were initially told that we would be contacted by our salesperson within a few days, so they could set it up). After over a week of calling and leaving messages with no luck, we found out that our salesperson was on vacation and were told that we would have to wait until they were back to set up an appointment and move forward. Thankfully, Corey helped us out and set up a prompt install appointment and and answered them questions we had. Since then, I’ve called again to ask about a missing sink grid and aftercare instructions because they were not communicated with us. We were again funneled to our original salesperson who has again not returned our call. I was hesitant to leave a review but do not want people to have experience that we had.The measurements and installation were fantastic. Everyone involved in that process was great! The granite is quality, however a few areas look a little stained from the natural coloring of the stone. I’m not sure that this could have been avoided. If you are considering this company I recommend using Corey as your salesperson. He was the only reason we were able to move forward with our installation in a timely (but still delayed) matter and was very helpful. We are very appreciative of his willingness to take on additional responsibility and help us out.
To notch quality and outstanding customer service. Highly recommend!
App.only because of COVID, but we still get in with the help of the front desk lady. Like it how they price out the stones by levels and allow you to walk through the isles by yourself. Much more selections than the precut ones.
We were very happy with Universal Stone! We found a beautiful quartzite remnant for our bathroom and Universal Stone was able to complete the measurement and installation within about 10 days at a surprisingly reasonable price for such a pretty stone. I highly recommend Universal Stone. They have friendly and competent consultants, quality materials, and excellent installation work.
Very friendly and knowledgeable staff! Great place to get stone!
Very nice place with plenty of selections..
I hate to do this. The product itself is beautiful. I get that our job was small (60 bathroom vanity top), but we spent $1500 and are planning a full kitchen project this spring that we were hoping to use them for. When we arrived for our appointment, the salesperson met us, asked us what our project was, and then sent us out into the shop to look at the slabs. He didnt explain anything to us (there are different types of stone and different price points). He simply told us to look around and then disappeared. We noticed the other 2 couples had sales people walking around with them, asking them questions, and giving them suggestions. He checked on us after we were nearly all the way through but didnt hang around. When we were done, we waited in the showroom for a while before he came out of his office. He didnt explain sinks, edges, etc. but fortunately we are adept enough to figure those things out on our own in the time we waited for him. We gave him the 3 options we wanted estimates for, I explained our timeline (the contractor wasnt able to start for at least a month or more) and he sent us on our way without a thanks for coming in.The estimate came through and we made our decision. I emailed our sales person and he said to sign the contract, send it back to him, and pay the deposit. When he called for my credit card information, he had me on speaker phone. Who asks for credit card information over speaker phone? Plus it was hard to hear him. I reminded him of our timeline again and that was fine with him. That same morning, I receive another call from him, asking for the wrong name. I corrected him and he said he was calling to schedule our template, as if hed not just spoken to me earlier. I reminded him of our previous conversation and I didnt have a day yet, as our contractor hadnt begun the job. We decided that I would just call him when we knew more.A couple weeks later, I got another call from him, asking if we were ready. I reiterated that it was going to be another couple weeks and that I would connect with him when it was time. When it was finally time for the template to be made, I contacted our sales person and left a voice mail. When he called me back, he asked for the wrong name, again. He also told me I need to pay the deposit, which Id already paid for when we signed the contract. At this point, I was leery about going further with this job with this sales person. I was worried that if he couldnt get my name right twice, remember our timeline, or the fact that Id already paid the deposit, that maybe the job wouldnt go very smoothly. Im not generally a complainer, but I mustered up the courage to call and let them know that we werent confident in our sales person and we really wanted to nip it in the bud before the install. We wanted to be happy with choosing Universal Stone. We were given a new sales person, apparently just temporarily enough for us to pay the final balance due, I guess. After that, communication came from our original sales person again, which was super awkward. The installers did a great job, except one of them arrived without a mask (Covid). When he saw I was putting one on (to protect them), he muttered something about forgetting his in the truck and went back and got it. They were friendly and efficient.I received no further communication from them - no Thanks for your business or How to care for your new granite.I will reiterate that the countertop is beautiful, the install was flawless and the turnaround time from template to install was quick. I would have liked to have a sales person that all these other reviewers had. Our experience would have been much different.
This was our second time using Universal stone for our kitchen install needs, as we had such a great experience in our first home 6 years ago. Through every step in the process everyone was very precise, detailed and professional in the work completed! We would highly recommend!
I am so glad I found Universal Stone. From my initial visit to the installation, everything went smooth. Ryan, my salesperson, was very helpful and came through with getting me scheduled in order to meet my deadlines. The resulting countertop is beautiful. Thank you.
I had a great experience working with Anna and the Universal Stone staff. They worked with me to find quartz counters for two bathroom updates. The installers were prompt and did a super job installing. They covered the floors to protect as they went from truck to bathrooms. Thanks!!
Weve been working with Jenna and getting her stone here for years. Theyve always been so accommodating and had excellent customer service. I love the variety of stones that they have and options. Our clients have always found a countertop they love!
Ryan Kroenke was knowledgeable, patient, quick with communication, and made sure we ended up with exactly what we needed. He was understanding of our budget and the products available. The install crew was also very personable and helpful as well. A++++
Ryan did a great job of explaining my choices in the showroom. We scheduled the install and it was done quickly! My kitchen looks great! Very professional!
Robson, our salesman, was friendly, knowledgeable and very patient. We choose our granite from actual large slabs. The tech who measured was very accurate. The two installers did an excellent job! They were careful, worked well together and cleaned up when finished. All done in 1 1/2 hours! The price was very reasonable compared to other estimates, and there were no seams! We highly recommend Universal Stone.
I had the best experience working with Universal Stone and Robson! The high quality of their products and the amazing selection made my kitchen and bathrooms stunning. Their pricing is very competitive. The customer service and product knowledge were amazing from the minute I stepped in the showroom. Within 14 days I had my kitchen counters professionally measured, cut and installed. I would highly recommend Universal Stone to anyone. Pennie P.
Corey was a very nice Sales Rep. Easy to work with! Answered every question that I had. Highly recommend Universal Stone.
Good selection of a lot of stone.
Anna was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping us pick out our counter tops for our entire home. Very grateful and impressed with the service.
We purchased a vanity top from Universal Stone for each of our bathroom remodels and we were very pleased with their products and service. Jenna was very helpful and easy to work with. She gave us samples to take home and helped narrow down the choices after listening to what we were looking for. Pricing was great too.......and the installers were professional and efficient. I would recommend Universal Stone to others.
Universal Stone did a fantastic job providing and installing new granite counter tops in our kitchen. Every person that we spoke with from the moment we walked in their front door on a busy Saturday morning was very professional and went out of their way to make sure we were being helped and getting our questions answered. Our sales rep. Jenna was fantastic and provided us with updates at every stage of the selection and installation process. I even had the opportunity to watch the counter tops being digitally measured and then later installed by Universal Stones installation team. They were very skilled and removed and hauled away the old counter tops and installed the new granite counters and new sinks in a couple hours. It was an amazing transformation to our kitchen space. Thank you Universal Stone team. We highly recommend you!
I have used this company for kitchen counter tops three times. Excellent quality, great service. Highly recomend.
After visiting several granite vendors we chose Universal Stone and are very glad we did. During the selection process, Jenna was extremely helpful in answering all our questions and concerns. She guided us through the process enabling us to take the time we needed to choose our favorite colors from their large inventory. They went the extra mile to pull out a nice selection of slabs for us to choose from once we picked the colors we liked. She also helped us save money by finding a nice remnant for one of the counter tops. They arrived to install the granite when they promised. They sent Sergei out to make sure everything was perfect and to our complete satisfaction.
The salesman Robson was super helpful, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to listen to my needs to make sure the job was executed correctly. I chose the Aurora blue granite from a large slab and was charged for the square footage used rather than the entire slab used and unused which saved on cost. The tech who measured was very accurate and the two installers did an excellent job! They were careful and quality driven as there were no visible seems when complete. The job was finished in less than 1 hour and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Universal Stone!! The end product photos attached speaks for itself!
So pleased with the customer service at Universal Stone, specifically Ryan helping us out. We probably had the smallest countertop job ever for a small bathroom and Ryan treated us like we were ordering and installing for a large kitchen! Excellent follow-up and follow thru! I would highly recommend working with Universal Stone and with Ryan!!
I had Ryan K an he did a great job helping me out, spent an hour on my first visit showing me an giving me information on the products that I was interested in, he helped me answer all my questions was an overall friendly guy. I would highly recommend this place.
The process exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Corey Pierce in the sales department Price was fair. Installation was perfect.
After our move from Ohio to Eden Prairie, we needed to update our newly purchased home. From our first visit to Universal Stone, Inc., where we met Ryan Kroenke, we were impressed by the selection, the pricing, and the assistance Ryan provided. In less than 3 weeks, we have beautiful kitchen and bathroom counters and sinks that were meticulously installed. Were very pleased with Universal Stone and highly recommend this company and Ryan Kroenke.
I initially had a bad experience with one of the salesmen not returning my calls. Jenna contacted me to let me know that she would be working with me and she has done a great job of helping resolve my issue. I am very happy with how she addressed my concerns and has made this right.
Really great service and attention from Cory!
Top Notch! They were quick with a reasonable quote, super helpful when picking out the right stone choice for our bathroom and amazingly the install was done within an hour! Friendly staff that took pride in their work! Would absolutely recommend!
My fiance and I are very satisfied with the service and selection, ease of coordination, and ultimately, the finished product. We will definitely use Universal stone again in any future projects.
From start to finish the experience with Universal Stone in purchasing and having installed granite countertops in my kitchen remodeling project was excellent. Our salesperson, Robson, was knowledgable and helpful through the entire process. The installers were on time, quick and professional. The quality of work and product was high and the price point was quite reasonable. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Universal Stone.
Jenna was super helpful to my wife and I in picking out our kitchen countertop and getting it installed in a short time frame. The installation crew was detailed, quick, and professional - our kitchen looks great!
I have used Universal Stone several times in the past and mostly had good expiriences. But recently I had some work done in my kitchen and stored my countertops in my attached garage until work was completed. I had Universal Stone employees reinstall the countertops, after which I recieved a bill for nearly $700 for work that took less than an hour to complete. Out of fairness, I contacted the company to seeif there was an error. After a short conversation that price was reduce to $580. Price seemed to be a bit excessive, especially since the employees were already in the area doing another install. Lesson learned, ensure you get a price quote in writing prior to any business being conducted with this company.
My contractor recommended them, saying theyre more expensive, but the quality of work is much higher. I picked out a gorgeous slab of granite but I was a bit disappointed in a few rough spots. The owner of Universal Stone sent a guy to fix everything. He did a fantastic job. I have already sent several friends to Universal Stone for a very unusual selection of granite slabs that you wont find anywhere in town.
Best prices Robson was great to work with Installation was flawless and no mess when they were done This is the place to go
Corey and his team at Universal Stone came recommended through another contractor we hired, and we couldn’t be more thankful. From the precision in measuring to final countertop install, we were blown away with the quality of work received. And the customer service is amazing. Corey was very responsive and available when we had questions. A lot of our timeline depended on the counter install, and Universal Stone was on time and installed when they said they were going to. Corey was also extremely generous in letting us hold the marble piece for our island at their facility while it is being fabricated, since there was a delay in construction on that piece. Countertops are one thing that you don’t want to go wrong, as there is almost no room for error. Universal Stone was a great choice for us, and you would be mistaken to not give them a call for your next project.
Awesome. The best product and customer service. Use them!
My contractor recommended this place but after a half dozen unreturned phone calls and unanswered emails I finally gave up. I called Minneapolis Granite and was taken care of quickly and efficiently. A remodel job has too many moving parts to deal with a company that cant provide basic customer service.
Very poor at customer follow up! I contacted Jena, in May. She did not return my call. I found a piece of quartz, have her the information in May. I have been waiting 2 weeks for a call to get the laser measuring done. I realize they are busy, but very poor customer service.
Not sure what happened. Sent a quote request with measurements through their website. Got a reply asking for my address and never heard another word back after I responded.
Robson is awesome to work with. Install was quick, and pricing couldnt be beat.
The guys in the receiving department are wonderful and very professional.
Absolutely gorgeous stone, professional level of detail in shaping and matching seams. Ill be going back.
Awesome place with superb product and amazing customer service!
Great company to work with, fabulous job all around! Highly recommended!
Jenna was amazing, so helpful and knowledgeable about all their different products!
We have been using Universal Stone for 8 years on all of our projects.Their consistent quality and customer service is far superior than other counter top company around.
I can sum up my experience in 1 word. FABULOUS! From the 1st day I came to visit the showroom to select my stone to the day that all details were completed took a mere 6 weeks. Their pricing is amazing. I checked others dealers; one was $1000 more, and the other wanted to nickel and dime me for services that Universal included all in 1 price. Universals staff was always friendly and helpful; very customer focused. They were johnny-on-the-spot to come out to my home to measure. They even made a second trip to remeasure, due to a change in my plans, at no charge. They quickly cut the granite. Some pieces had intricate cuts that fit the space like a glove. The installers were very professional and did a perfect job. They took care that they were working in someones home laying down drop clothes so as to not track dirt into the house. There were a few small details that needed touch up that they took care if in a few days. I would definitely recommend Universal to anyone who is looking for granite.
Highly recommend!!!
