The hours are nice and expanded. I have always had a good experience here and like their vast selection of inexpensive and fun stuff to take home and make things with.
Could not find what I had bought there before so very disappointed. Whats with the no stocking of shelves.?.
They have a lot of crafting supplies. I wanted to get smiley face beads that they online in store but they did not have it 😢.
No help on the floor & short staffed was the reason we were given.. Duh!2 registers open & friendly, but neither coukd go help us. So, since we were unable to find items we were looking for, and coukd get no help, we finally gave up, went to a nearby competitor, and had a wonderful experience.
Very helpful and friendly staff. The nice lady working in the framing department that helped us was awesome
The store is good. Its clean and inviting, but the selection is lacking. I left to visit Hobby Lobby to find what I needed.
I hate to say it, but Michaels has gone downhill, while prices (not value) have increased exponentially. Value pack paper for $5-$7? Thats a distant memory. They are all now $20. ☹ Only 4x6 or 4x5 cardstock paper packs are $5-$7. Regular cardstock rarely goes on sale and when it does drop a little, they rarely have enough of a supply for the demand. Their isles are full of the SAME PRODUCTS month after month. No variety. Clearance prices are a joke. And those products sit there-prices not going lower- for what seems like forever because noone else wants them either.COUPONS? Havent seen a 50% off in MONTHS. But still the same 70% off custom framing. 🙄Youre lucky if you get a 25% off coupon. 20% seems to be standard now.My advice, while Michaels is still WAY better than Joannes for crafting supplies, shop elsewhere....Amazon, ebay, Etsy...thats where the best variety and price deals are.On a positive note...they do offer seniors their 10% discount everyday, (unlike Joannes only 1 day a week Sr. discount day) and it can be stacked on other sales and discounts.
The store itself is well stocked and mostly clean and organized. Except for their seasonal area. The last 2 times that Ive been there. The seasonal section was not finished. The first thing you see when you walk in the store is the seasonal area, if that ever looks nice and finished it would help me to be more excited to shop there. It will change alot, I get that. But how about changing it quicker? Besides the seasonal area, I would like to see more choices of knitting needle brands. It is nice to see the knitting needles with the tip covers. But I am not a big fan of bamboo knitting needles. How about some popular branded crochet hooks? Overall, an OK Michaels to shop. Worth 5 stars rating. Nice job employees.
I love shopping at Michaels. As a crafter, I find ideas to create down every aisle. The store is organized and clean. My only complaint was that the cashier was not extremely friendly. A smile and some conversation would have been nice.
I could spend a small fortune buying craft items. Unfortunately, I live in Indiana and the closest one to me is about 1 hour away in Fort Wayne.
Love checking through the aisles! Gotta watch out though cause Im always tempted to buy another sketchbook😅
Staff is always nice and will always answer my questions.
Great customer service and very clean store
I LOVE MICHAELS!
Had what we needed and it was easy to find!
Staff member in the store was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the item I saw online was not in the store.
I cant remember what I bought here but I think it was a candy bar and some glue. If Im right and I bought a candy bar it was probably a Hershey one and I dont care what Europeans say, I dont think Hershey bars taste like vomit. I think theyre just jealous that our chocolate has a little extra twang to it. Anyway, the glue worked fine. 5 stars.
Very freindly staff
A really great team, we are especially fond of Jo in the framing area, always helpful and friendly.
Good place for quality low price food. Compare to HyVee next time you shop then you will be please with Aldi.
Great service in the framing department and at the front registers!
The place is pretty good at everything, the only issue I had because is the only thing I went there, is that they didnt have the picture frame 8x8 I was looking for, meanwhile any other options was available, and I lost my time.
Stock a bit low.. employees friendly and helpful.
Clean store, standard selection, and a convenient location. The employees did not greet me or ask if I needed help.
This place is great for fun family craft ideas and gifts! Finding things can be tricky, there can be multiple locations for certain items.
A great craft store with a great variety of stuff for anyone. Go there early around holidays because they sell fast.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff.
Not many people, easy to social distance and did not have to wait to check out.
Its a craft store
Interesting and unique items in the store. Can stay all day just to look around. Very relaxing to be me..
Large portions. Fresh ingredients. 4 stars because salads have skimpy lettuce portions. Stick to the breakfast offerings.
Excellent service in custom framing department.
Crafters paradise.
Always a great go-to for crafts and gifts!
I really like this particular Michaels store. After only one visit, it became my Michaels store. The bead selection is wonderful. Every single staff member Ive encountered has been very friendly, kind and helpful. Highly recommend!
Its Michaels, you know what youre getting. Great store that has way more than you expect. Worth a close look
Nice place, great carwash
My review is biased, I go there to de-stress and feel better. I love this store and all of them.
Just not what I was looking for
All the things I didnt buy.. Great selection.
The store was a mess and they didnt have have what I was looking for, wax melts to put in the melting pots they were selling. Nine of the staff were very helpful either.
Great service
Date of Visit: 12/15/2018 - Great store! We were able to get in and out rather quickly despite the number of customers in the store. Cashiers were quick and efficient. My only complaint is how closely the aisles are together; it makes navigating difficult unless youre a thin, able-bodied person.
Always has great deals!
In store pickup was slow and inefficient after 6 pm. Not covid friendly.
Could spend all day here! So much to look at, and lots of great ideas. Something for everyone!
Micheals is a fun place to visit. Gets the creative mind working. Some of the things they sell are wonderful. I’ve been disappointed lately with a couple items. The fountains are very poor quality. I am surprised they sell them at all.
Employees were very helpful!
Shakopee Micheals is the worst. The guy manager is very rude and when ask a question all he did was point with an attitude. Then when I went to the front of the store to check out and get my items that were on hold, he again had to come up and ask me what I put on hold. He than got an attitude and rolled his eyes as he walked away to go find the item that wasn’t on hold like they said it would be. He needs an attitude check, I don’t care if your busy. Being that I work in retail things get busy but that’s not the way to handle a situation. Your the manager which means you have more responsibility to make sure customers are happy. Which I definitely am not.
The service was terrible! The staff is not helpful and dont know the merchandise. Dont trust the inventory online. They dont have what it says online. 🤦♂️🤷♂️
Went to buy some copic markers and the workers did not have the keys to get them, which was fine it was only about 30 minutes until they were closed so understandable. Next day I go in to buy them at an earlier time and somehow no one working had the keys AGAIN. Save your time and energy and don’t bother stopping at this michaels because you’ll just leave with a light apology and a heavy migraine.
Its just a fun place! It gets your imagination and crafting Mijo working..There are crafts for toddlers to senior citizens..For the non-crafters.. they have home decor and candy.
Staff are slow, unhelpful, and snide. Just my experience. Also the inside of the store reminds me of what a craft store would look like about 5 years after a worldwide nuclear exchange. Stuff thrown around aimlessly. Half stocked shelves. Dust on most of the items. Just a real hellscape.
Always a great variety of stuff and sales going on.
Friendly staff! Found what I needed and more.
Great selection of crafting supplies. Excessively overpriced. As an example - but certainly not an isolated one - for a large assortment of necklace/bracelet-type beads (for my childs school project), Michaels charges $23.XX dollars. Walmart charges $13.XX. I challenge even a shopper with above-average crafting needs to discern the difference between the two products. My family and I will hesitate before shopping with Michaels from now own.
The staff is always super friendly and helpful, on the phone and in person. Linda, a cashier, really brightened my day. She has a positive attitude and a kind spirit about her. She always makes sure customers are taking advantage of coupons and I really appreciate every little amount of money that I can save! This is my favorite Michael’s store.
Nice selection but they need to work on training their staff to better assist with finding items.
Pretty big store, their sewing thread and pins selection isnt very extensive, they have a variety of different items. They have a ton of crafting supplies, one thing you MUST do is use a coupon, the merchandise is nice but fairly expensive. Their website always has a 40% off coupon
Way better than HL.
Most of the employees were super friendly and spoke to me but the cashier was rude. When the transaction was done I didnt get a thank you -- she just handed me the bag and looked at the next customer without so much as a word
Plenty of supplies for the home crafter. Friendly staff members. Could use more training in the fine arts department.
Looking for custom frames. Had the most knowledgable woman and helpful. Also, giving us quotes on different frames. Giving us time, not rushing us.
Usually find everything I need and more than I wanted. The customer service has really improved the last few years. This is my go-to place for supplies and craft inspiration.
Nice store. Has a lot of materials and arts and crafts for kids. Some as little as dollars and other material that can be pretty expensive. Fun home making kits for kids for all ages.
Found my mother in law a nice Christmas gift with an associates help.
Had exactly what I needed!
Went there this afternoon and I wanted to purchased paint canvas and paint. I had a 40% off coupon for regular priced item and 20% off coupon for everything else. I walked up to the cashier who stated that the canvas was on sale and I couldnt use the coupon. No where in the location where the canvas was did it state that they were on sale. So I wanted to use the 20% off. The rude cashier then stated that I couldnt use that coupon until 3:00PM (it was 12:30PM) she said to look at the small print in the corner and that it was posted in the store. Really, I didnt see it posted anywhere because it was too small. I didnt realize their coupons had time restrictions so I got no discounts. I hate the bait and switch. I left everything including their coupons on the counter and went to Joann Fabrics where I still found everything and used a coupon..
Great variety of products at this location, you can always find what you are looking for and something you didnt know you needed. The ladies at the register are always the sweetest! It pays to sign up for the discounts...because if you pay for something off the shelf no discount, youre paying too much!
Another major retailer with a nasty habit of discounting items to their regular retail price.Good selection of craft and home decor items.Make sure you get the correct change when paying cash.
I went Christmas shopping here for crafty stuff for my kids for Christmas. They had a great selection. However everything was a little more expensive than the bog box stores.
Isles and isles full of creative ideas to start any type of (diy) projects or just a simple craft with youre family. Staff is very friendly and easy to approach, plus theyll always help you find the best deals.
They dont listenThey dont follow instructions. I have spent thousands in there framing department. Since the switch over to arron brothers.... They have gone way down hill. This is the last piece you will see of mine.
Great items and service was helpful
This is a very well organized location. They have everything you need, and it well-maintained and clean. They always have good sales, and their new rewards system is awesome. I get coupons all the time.
This was one of the smallest Michaels I have been in, but it still has a great deal of items to pick them. And it was very clean, check out is always long, but I found that to be all Michaels.
I generally can find what Im looking for!
I needed a specific product that is not sold at other locations. They wrote down my information to call me when the product was in. I started to question if theyd call. About 2 weeks later I was going to just stop by but they called to let me know. Thought it was great they followed through!
What dont they have? Tons of stuff, I just wish the staff was a little more attentive in the aisles. Hard to find something sometimes and a helpful employee is always welcome.
I was there too. There were over a dozen we counted while waiting. Several were walking out. I felt bad for the lone cashier that was trying to be nice and help people as quickly as possible. The manager came up to apologize but didn’t open a register - only to complain that the truck came in and all of the staff had to work on it even though we saw other employees walking around the store - training issue? Complaining to customers that the teenagers that work there didn’t show up is not the way to handle it.Opening a few registers for 10 minutes would have cleared out the line. Bad planning for a huge sale day and poor customer service. Two overbearing woman in line who claimed it was the way of business were clueless as everyone else in line was very unhappy.I guess I’ll go to JoAnn’s from now on.
Get an early start on your favorite holiday decorations and crafts. Some school supplies are available too.
Great place for buying crafts and things.
Good experience with associates they were very nice.
Michaels has great deals on canvases and paint
Love DIY projects & this is bc the place to go to find what you need
Great craft store. Has a vast selection of supplies for different hobbies. Seems over priced compared to other retail stores. You can usually find items cheaper if you just do a little leg work and check online.
Very hard to find anybody here to help
All your crafty needs 😁
My go to place for jewelry findings and beads.Well stocked, friendly, helpful & knowledgeable staff.Watch for good sales.
Had what we wanted. No one available to help us find it!
There were about 10 people in line and one cashier. Didn’t even attempt to get more help. I put my stuff down to leave as I was sick of waiting only to find out I can only exit from the door by the checklanes by cutting through all the people. Pathetic experience.
Could have had lower prices.
They are organized and the employees are very polite.
They dont have fabric anymore which is unfortunate but other than that, its good.
Always has what I need and closest craft supply to me. All good
Excellent selection of everything. Clean, well organized store.
I love this store, they always have something new and good deals
Love their decoration for the holidays. Halloween and Christmas.
Great even for people who arent so crafty like me. The staff is super helpful & friendly.
