My insurance recommended them based on my location, and I am not disappointed. The staff was very friendly. I was informed during the entire process and my car was done earlier than expected. Some reviews said that they are rude, and I have to disagree. They were respectful and professional and made sure that I was taken care of every step of the way.

They have been so helpful when I have needed to get replacement parts for my Chevy Suburban. Not only helpful, but also friendly and inexpensive. Right now, Im suffering from a busted out back window and Im getting a replacement for two-fifths the cost of a new window at the auto glass place.

I dont know what the other reviews are talking about, but Ive only ever had good results from Shanafelts. If people want a place where theyre falling all over themselves to make sure their customer service is awesome, this isnt the place. These guys are busy fixing things and theyve always done a great job for me.

Went in years ago and had a great experience with a different rep from here so tried going back a few months ago for some hail damage and Fred was the one to come take a look at my car. Ill never go back to these guys not only was he extremely rude banging on my windows at my kids to open the door (car has auto locks on door wasnt like they tried keeping him out). Then as we were talking about the approach to take outside the car he beats on my sons passenger window to turn down the country song playing on the radio ( we were outside the car the radio was not effecting us talking especially with the windows rolled up). After this heaven forbid there be a issue with my car Id need to talk to this guy about. He has poor people skills and very unprofessional. Will not be going back.

Called about a rubber boot thats not vehicle specific was told they dont have my exact car then the guy hung up as I was asking another question bad service and just a bad junkyard if you cant walk back there and the guys at the desk flat out wont help them what good are you

I would not take my car back here. I got a side panel fixed on my car here and it looks great! BUT in the process of this my window was scratched with silver marking which took almost 2 and a half weeks to get fixed or even contacted for that matter. If I had the option I would not take my car back to this shop.

I’ve only had my car back for a couple days, but I’m really impressed so far. I had an accident with an animal heading home to Houston on I-10 near Luling. USAA recommended Shanafelt, and since my in-laws live in Seguin, I selected them. Man, I’ve been in accidents before, and even when I’ve taken my car to the dealer, they’ve always been really late, and when they do finally say my car is ready, I show up and find problems before I even leave the repair shop. Not so with Shanafelt. They listened to me, understood that my first trip in the car would be ~150 miles home, so they drove the car 20+ miles or so (at my request) to make sure I wouldn’t have any problems. And when I picked up my BMW, the owner even gave me his cel phone # because it was just before closing. Which I didn’t have to use because the car worked perfectly.

To keep it simple worse experience EVER! Took my car back 3 times and still not right. Ed the manager and Fred the owner are horrible people no people skills what so ever. Not willing to work with you about anything. Their quality of workman ship is horrible. Please Dont take your car to these people unless you want a Piss Poor Job. And that is being nice. Wouldnt even give them 1 Star a negative 10 would be more like it.

I’ve been going to Shanafelt Auto for body work since 1967. Had my license 2 weeks (age 14) when I was broadsided. I went to the hospital, and my Opel station wagon went to Shanafelt’s. I’ve used them since. Cannot best their work, & have never been concerned about a warranty. They make it unnecessary; they “make good” on whatever repairs they do.

If I could give ZERO stars I would. Staff is rude. I called in and got Susan (if that’s even her real name-the manager told me later) who became frustrated with me when she wasn’t listening to me so I asked her name. Instead of telling me her name she put me on hold until I hung up. No explanation or anything.When I spoke to the manager/owner about it (Fred) he did not apologize and simply said “She said you were rude” WHAT?! I then had to explain to him that whether she thought I was rude or not, you’re dealing with customer service and THIS IS YOUR BUSINESS (NAME). He did not seem sincere AT ALL, his inventory says he has the part but he said “NO ONE CAN FIND IT”. Save yourself the heartache and find somewhere else because they are not professional, their customer service skills are horrible and if their inventory says they have it, THEY PROBABLY DON’T.

They fixed my front end after I hit a deer. The front end was not lined up very well. Then went back to them to fix my rear quarter panel, then they messed up my back window. There was deep scratches in the glass. They were also supposed to fix the gas tank, but failed to do that. Pretty poor and rude service.

Awful! Someone hit my car and their insurance company coordinated (gave me options but picked this company) to do my repairs. A 3rd party for Farm Bureau, Lynx, help coordinate this as easily as possible. Lynx sent my paper work in and I called Shanafelts and they never received it. I called Lynx to have them send it again. I had spoken to Domingo twice the day prior and morning of to see status of paperwork (at that point he didnt have it still) that had claim number and approval for them to get started. I showed up to Shanafelts after I had coordinated Enterpise to pick me up. I asked for Domingo and went to his desk. I told him my name and he said that 3rd party girl I spoke to is something else. She tried giving my attitude and they always try to push us around.(talking about Farm Bureau 3rd party Lynx) I asked if he had received my paper work and he said no. He then checked his email and suddenly it was there. He went on saying Lynx is the 3rd party they use because Farm Bureau dropped the ball. He went on with his negative attitude to find out that after 3 conversations him and Ed (worker there) decided they couldnt take in my car due to them being overloaded with work. I spoke my mind and told him that I thought the situation was very unprofessional and he could have told me the day prior about them not being able to take in my car. Needless to say his response was sorry comes with the territory. Dont use them!! I am now going to Town & Country and owner is very nice.

This body shop is exceptional* Highly recommended and respected. However, due to back ordered parts, my SUV has been idle for 3 weeks!! Who would care to hear my complaints, certainly not the deer who took out the front end of my new 2021 Dodge Durango. Sadly, I continue to wait, unhappy but patient.
