Densely-packed with depth and breadth of every genre imaginable, each item worthy of attention is well- curated with an annotations on a label attached to a proper vinyl sleeve. My particular interest is obscure, out-of-print classical recordings, and while these require a little more effort to find than other genre recordings, I did find a few worthy of purchase. Its only a shame that stores like this dont have an online catalog of items for sale. For example, the record of Wallace Stevens reading his poems was priced out of reach for me, but there must be some Stevens scholar who needs to have that recording. What are the chances, however, to that a Wallace Stevens scholar will go to Seattle, take the time to explore this store, and look in the right place to find that essential recording. To all of you Wallace Stevens scholars who now know thanks to a web search, youre welcome.

Literally the coolest underground record shop you’ll find. Go down the stairs on the right side of the building, and experience an entire basement full of records, CDS, cassettes, DVDs, and more records. They have an entire room devoted to jazz and classical, a good selection of local favorites, and current releases too! You can expect friendly service and more than enough to look through.

Its easy to get lost here and I say that with the utmost sincerity -- Neptune has an incredible selection of vinyl and CDs and is definitely a place to come explore multiple times with the sheer amount of stuff they have here. They appeal to all musical tastes here, with no genre left unattended to. Theres something undoubtedly halcyon about flipping through records in a place like this so if youve got a nifty record player handy, wipe the dust off and give Neptune a good browse.

Cool little place- been here a few times. Lots of different items - vinyl, vhs, cassette, DVD, blue ray, etc. Just wish it was better classified with music genre for the vinyl section..

Incredible selection of vinyl available. Each album is meticulously labeled with details on the year it was created and any special notes on that specific pressing. The selection is well-curated and definitely worth checking out. Easily the best record shop in the U District!

I was blown away the first time I walked down the says flanking the Neptune Theater into its basement and discovered this paradise of used vinyl! And the vinyl selection here is beyond dank. I particularly like the side room which is loaded with hard to find jazz, lounge and exotica albums. If this place isnt popular yet, it sure will once the UD light rail station opens literally right next door.

Ive always liked this corner store displaying that it is apart of the real underground. Alot different plain culture is in here from the rock scene from the older crowds and I use to see quite alot of attractive women here. Oh how the years flew by. Lots of used tapes and stuff like classic rock and punk rock but it is a record store and Ive always meant stop by and see whats available.

Great store. Great selection of QUALITY used vinyl and theyre very helpful too. They label the LPs with condition & pressing info. which is a huge help and really appreciated. One of the few stores that takes the time to do this and they obviously take pride in what they sell. Ive been to most of the used vinyl stores in Seattle, this is the best. It has a sub street level entrance that opens to a huge selection of high quality merch. PLUS, you can park right outside their entrance...for free. Where else in Seattle can you do that?

I was excited to check this place out! But unfortunately I will not be returning. This place has hundreds of records and I was really looking forward to going through so many but from the moment I walked in my friend and I were being followed. It was very obvious and incredibly uncomfortable. The selection is ok and the prices are high but their racist demeanor is unacceptable.
