Molly Moons is a Seattle staple for ice cream. Theyre known for their interesting concoctions for flavors and freshly made waffle cones. Im a cookie dough kinda guy, and they put cinnamon in there too, so its a go to for me. They have seasonal flavors too which are usually worth a try. Their single scoop is usually pretty big and you can split the flavors up. Price wise its pretty average considering how much ice cream you actually get.

Molly Moons is literally my favorite ice cream place ever! I swear I go here like every week or so, and I always get the same thing! My go-to is the melted chocolate with hot fudge on top (in a cup), because Im not a cone type of guy. Anyways, the smell of freshly made waffle cones is so amazing, there is nothing better than that smell, especially on a hot summer day, or even a cold winter night. Honestly, the smell of fresh waffle cones is so heavenly that its sort of become iconic for Molly Moons.I have tried other flavors but I still love my chocolate because it is super rich and chocolatey! Then, the warm fudge adds even more richness and luxuriousness and makes it an amazing combo! The menu doesnt have many flavors, but thats because they have all the classic and iconic, and really staple flavors, that are all delicious and perfect! They also have amazing seasonal flavors as well, and Im always excited for the seasonal flavors to come around each year. That what I love about this place because its classic, but done to perfection! You can also really tell its homemade and I love the textures and flavors. It is truly ice cream at its finest.Really nothing can beat Molly Moons for me, and they are my favorite ice cream spot... end of sentence.

Molly Moons stepped into a bit of controversy last summer but that doesnt change the fact that their ice cream is always delicious, and Im here to review that without regard to other factors. They have a rotating selection of classic and unique flavors, and service has been consistently friendly in my own personal experience. Pros:Service - the lady who assisted me asked if I ordered here before and when I told her no, she informed me that the cookie dough ice cream had oatmeal cookies and cinnamon in it. I was glad for this info as there is nothing worse thinking, you’re getting one thing and biting into it and the taste was not what you were expecting. There was a menu outside with a list of choices.Clear signage - only two parties allowed in at a time.Clear markers where to stand, keeping the social distance norms. No improvements at this time.

Amazing ice cream, I always make it a point to visit when Im in U-village. Theres almost always a line, but its worth it and it moves fast, on nicer days theyll have someone go down the line with samples to help choose the right flavor. Plus, like the other locations, they have at least 2 rotating seasonal flavors. Inside seating and room is limited so its best to eat it outside.

Yes, Molly Moons is another addition to the uber-hip, high priced boutique sweets scene, but they do it oh so well and without the pretense of some other genre-matched shops in the great PNW. You get what you pay for - if you want a dollar cone, head to DQ. We did have to wait in line, for about 5 minutes. Ive waited longer to buy a movie ticket, so just make sure your instafacesnaps are plenty entertaining and youll be fine, because awaiting you is a fantastically delicious exploration of flavor. That smell? Give into the enticement and get a waffle cone. You wont be sorry. The very friendly and welcoming staff are full of recommendations for flavor profiles, and dont be afraid to sample. They have a nice spread of always flavors and a little mix of seasonal, along with a unique selection of delicious toppings. The ingredients are quality and the execution artful. The scoops are large, and you can split a single scoop which gives you plenty of ice cream and the option for two flavors. I had the Earl Grey and the Honey Lavender topped with lemon curd, and...well, just writing this now Im half-tempted to make the 3.5 hour drive back just for another cone. Great location, lots of outdoor seating options throughout the mall, and definitely worth the trip.

I kept seeing people walk around the UW university village with a waffle creamy ice cream on hand. I found out that it was from a place called Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream. They offer various sorbets and one coconut milk based ice cream as well as many dairy based ice creams. They can add a non dairy chocolate syrup that turns to a hard shell. This along with the ice cream on a waffle cone made the dessert portion an experience that I will remember. Enjoy a nice cold dessert when in the area.

I thought the quality was superb. The taste and consistency were excellent. The seasonal flavors of dark cherry and lemon (Arnold Palmer) were well defined and fresh. If you like granola, the Yeti is a must. The staff are energetic, but the single/double/triple scoop system can be confusing. The scoops indicate total volume. So, it is possible to get a single scoop of two flavors. Simply put, I love Molly Moons and have been there two days in a row now.

The most major downside here is that if its a sunny, busy day, the line can be out the door. Most people dont stay and eat here, but if you want to theres only a limited selection of seats available indoors. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and the place is always clean and tidy. The ice cream is incredibly good quality (my favorite has always been melted chocolate) but on the last occasion I was here there was a little bit of ice/freezer burn in my ice cream, which has never happened before... I hope its not following the general inverse relationship of quality vs. size of business/number of locations.

More of a 3.5 stars. Long lines, which is usually a good sign. We got a total of three flavors : salted caramel, chocolate, and coffee. The coffee was very good with what seemed to be a little coffee bean the pieces in it. Service was friendly and good.

We went on a day that was not busy and didnt have a line, thank heavens, because if I had waited forever for this like many do I would have been very disappointed. All the hype surrounding it is probably what left me dissatisfied, but the texture of the ice cream itself is very watery. Also the best way I can put it is the flavors are too healthy. 🤣 The only ones I found rich enough were the dark chocolate and the salted caramel. However, the salted caramel was SO salty that a few bites in was enough.

Nothing bad about Molly Moons ice cream quality or the service at this location, but tonight an employee with short hair, a tattoo on their chest, and a sleeve of tattoos on their left arm was wearing a spaghetti strap tank top while serving ice cream. We were appalled. The employee wasnt at the register - they were actively serving customers ice cream. Does any form of professional dress code exist for this food establishment? Its Ready To Eat food. The ice cream doesnt get cooked to kill any bacteria falling into it. The employees have to reach over the ice cream tubs. Yes, its an ice cream shop, but sweat is inevitable with all that motion in a small space. It was a complete turn off and we avoided being helped by this employee for that reason, but who knows how contaminated the ice cream has become for the duration of that employees shift. Its so disappointing that no solution was made by the supervisor on duty or even coworkers looking out for their reputation, and customers had to see that at a Molly Moons shop. Its disgusting.

Salted caramel. You NEED salted caramel. Ive been here SO many times. BUY gift cards at Costco for 20 percent off. this Ive cream is very pricey but saving 20 percent at Costco helps. Also, they dont allow tips--i LOVE that! Salt and straw EXPECTS tips...cant stand it. AND, MM doesnt charge for half scoops like getting 2 flavors in one scoop. can you believe salt and straw charges, sheesh. Anyway, its true that some MM scooters are more generous than others. I admit, one time the smaller scooper was helping me and I said I had to get something so I could leave the store and come back and be helped by a more generous or less stingy scooper. Yes--ive been here THAT many times that I know these things. ALSO, they dont tell you unless you ask, but whip cream is free and sprinkles are free. and trust me their sprinkles are the BEST! Dont pay 10 freaking dollars for a jar of sprinkles, just ask for a side of them. I love them so much with any and every flavor. I like U village best because parking is free and U Village is so pretty and such a nice mall to walk around in. Try EVERY flavor and take your time. YOU are the customer and remember this ice cream is $$$$$ SO don.t feel bad for taking your time deciding. FYI,the flavors here are so much better than Salt and straws weird modern flavors. Oh and this is major--it bothers me the Salt and Straw ships their ice cream from Portland, yet MM makes the ice cream in almost every single scoop shop. The day MM starts producing their ice cream in a factory like Top Pots Donuts now does will be a sad day and it might change my admiration for MM right now, so MM if youre reading this...please dont stop making ice cream at each shop, it makes SUCH a difference and having culinary experience myself, thats so important for the community to have legit culinary jobs making scratch made and high quality, delicious food. One more thing--MM is SUPER liberal/democratic. Obviously most of Seattle is, but just saying that in case youre wondering why the workers are wearing buttons with pronouns on them. One more thing--the waffle cones are SO good. Try honey and lavendar...it grows on you. OH, and I almost forgot. Not sure why EVERY worker says their fave is YETI? like, its good, but YETI isnt like the bomb that makes me want MM... If you ask me, its the salted caramel, strawberry, sweet cream, melted chocolate, anyway, just TRY them all, and buy COSTCO MM gift cards!!
