Annie did a lovely job restoring an old neglected hat for me and helping my wife pick out the perfect fascinator for another milliners wedding. She was kind, funny, and got the repair job done faster than I expected all for a fair price. She even crafted a hat box so it wouldnt get so shabby again. Thank you Annie!
Annie deVuono is a milliner extraordinaire. A former ballet dancer, and still teaching, she brings her passion for movement, colour, music and unfettered joy to each one of her hats. I eagerly bought one, a marvelous blue/violet swirl of a felt marvel, and as much enjoyed going to her studio to have it more perfectly fitted. Annies kindness, enthusiasm, humour and inspiration shine through her work and her interactions. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She and her work make the world a better place, I am certain of that.
Annie did an incredible job cleaning and re-blocking my dads 50+ year old cowboy hat. It was unrecognizable when I got it back! So happy on how it turned out. Plus she’s such a joy.
Wow! Annie has all the gifts to make extraordinary hats. Her sense of style and color, artistry, and amazing sense of her customers needs is impressive! I met her at her holiday craft show exhibit and was immediately drawn to the unique style of her hats. Needing a hat for my sons wedding drew me to her exhibit and immediately, she got the style requirements. Beyond crafting a beautifully designed hat, Annie really put her heart into it. Ive already gotten a ton of compliments! Definitely worth driving across town for deVuono Hats!
Amazing hats, even better customer service! Annie is a truly talented milliner. She went above and beyond to fix my hat issues. A local treasure. Highly recommended!!
Annie is so skilled and is a great example of the service you can get working with a small business owner. I took a wool hat to her with low expectations that it was salvageable after my dog pulled it off a shelf, ruined the shape, punctured the ribbon and discolored the fabric.I was so pleased to find that Annie was able to fix my hat and returned it to me in better-than-new condition (Truly! She reshaped and cleaned it and replaced the punctured band with a color I liked better than the original). She communicated with me on progress, worked quickly while still ensuring quality, and was very fair with her pricing.Annie is incredibly talented and was so warm and personable. She clearly takes pride in her craft and the client experience. It was wonderful to meet and work with her.
Annie does amazing work and is not only a superb milliner but is very attentive to client input. Shes made two custom hats for me that fit well with top-drawer fit and finish. Highly recommended.
I have purchased 2 beautiful hats from Annie. I get compliments every time I wear them, and I love being able to say they are hand made (which shocks everyone). I think Annie’s millinery skills are unsurpassed and, she’s lovely to work with. I look forward to adding more of her hats to my collection.
Annie DeVuono made me a hat seven or eight years ago, and I love it. In fact, she has made the same hat over and over because I wear it so frequently and, alas, lose it. Then I have to contact her in Seattle, and--boom!-she makes me another! I get compliments from my friends (of course) but also from perfect strangers that I happen to see in the course of shopping or just walking down the street.
1932 Imperial Stetson ReplacementThe wind blew the hat right under the tractor tire and moments later the ‘cool, old hat, inherited from my father in law, laid crushed and broken. What was painful was knowing if I had buttoned the the wrap around string to my shirt it would be hanging on my back safe and sound just like it was designed to do when you got going a little to fast on your American Saddler.I tried to have the hat repaired, instead it was return sadly misshaped. I had given up until on day while at the Market in Seattle I saw some hats from a local designer and hat maker Annie deVuono. They looked perfectly constructed, I decided to send a photo of the old Stetson to she if she thought she could replicate the hat, the results were stunning!First a trip to be measured and select the felt, band and color. When it came time to work on the crown I asked her for what is called he Montana Slope. She had never heard of it but found the information for such a crown and shaped the crown exactly as I wanted;no reason to be from Montana if your hat looks like you from Texas, or God forbid North Dakota! Annie daVuono’s work is excellent; astute interpretation of design, style and era. Hats are back!Lyle Morse
I found Annies website while looking for a Kentucky Derby hat. She replied very quickly to my email, we scheduled an appointment and off I went. Not only did I leave with a Kentucky Derby hat, I left with threel! One beautifully crafted large classic yet unique hat, just what you expect at the Derby, and two adorable fascinators. I cant wait for May to come. Annie was a delight to work with, her craftsmanship is impeccable, and there was a large selection to choose from. Every hat was individual and a piece of art. Alicia
Annie of deVuono Hats deserves 10 stars but since 5 is the most I can give it will have to suffice. Ive been to several of her hat shows and have built my collection to five hats and one fascinator. Each is a unique and one-of-a-kind creation, but theyre not only beautiful, when you put them on they completely transform your look. Also, for this level of quality you cannot beat the price. Ive been to many shops yet have never seen creative hats like these. They are magazine quality (her work has been featured on the cover of Vogue). I invited my friend to her last show and he will be bringing his daughters to the next. Hat aficionados rejoice!
Annie lined a hat for us and did a beautiful timely job. I definitely recommend her work!
Annie is a miracle worker. I brought to her two gorgeous straw hats that had been crumpled at the bottom of a box by our movers and left in storage in the hot south for five months. They were unrecognizable (one in a ball) and Annie brought them back to life!!! Shes obviously got mad skills, she was honest about potentials costs & outcomes, and is a wonderful person to boot. If you have a hat that needs some love, go see her. If you want a new hat, go see her. In fact make hats your new thing, just so you can go see her and understand that mastery of craft is still a thing in this world of mass-production and short attention spans. A++
So much talent and beauty created in these hats!!
Anne does beautiful work and had wonderful options
Annie is so great!
