This is the best hardware store I have ever encountered. The staff is super friendly and always there to help. I came here to get a tool to get out some stripped nails. There is no easy solution to this and I had to return a few items that didnt work. But they were really cooperative with all the returns. Finally, a plier worked and I got my bed disassembled. I cant tell how happy I am right now. I have been trying to get these screws out since a week and nothing seemed to work. I have never seen such friendly and cooperative staff.
Wont let the customers use the restroom. Just wow, I work outside and rely on public restrooms. Ive bought a ladder and tools from this hardware store to try and support the smaller shops. If they dont care enough to offer a simple restroom then Im just not going to come back here.
I am working on a 1960 sink drain repair. I needed old product advice and new product advice.Maple Leaf Ace totally came through for me with 100% spot on advice and high quality parts that will last longer than the original 1960 drain connection.Service here is ample, friendly, and expert-level.
I love this tiny, awkward store. They have hardware necessities inside, a weird parking lot, & unfortunately no garden center :( I really wish they had plants. But I can buy Kamado Joe Charcoal on the app & pick it up in an hour, without having to go in, by ringing a secret doorbell & thats all I really need.
Nice assortment of stuff. There must be too much staff because they are constantly interrupting me to ask if I need help. They frantically move around the store like they need more to do.The store also closes at 5PM so I cant even get here on work days.
I love this place!! Everyone is always so helpful and kind. Always quick in and out too. They do have a much more limited selection compared to big box stores but that is not what they are. They are your neighborhood hardware store thats been around for at least 50 years!! Its so nice they are still here!! Their parking lot is not the greatest but I go out of my way to make purchases here and deal with the parking lot instead of going to the big box store thats a zoo and faceless!! These guys even remember my name my company and coworkers its great!!
Super helpful! I needed an extractor bit, and the store person got me the correct size in 2 min. The bit worked too!
Every time I visit maple leaf hardware I’m impressed with the staff and selection. It is a superior experience to going to the big box stores.
Friendly staff, excellent selection. They ARE their slogan ...is the place with the helpful hardware folks!
Okay I usually love ace hardwares but this one I will never visit again . I went in with my boyfriend and one of my girlfriends, we were looking for something specific they had, we asked a worker to help us and they took us right to where we needed to go but would not leave our side after that, clearly theyThought we were stealing! I mean I couldnt even walk two feet with there eyes glued to me, being subtle is not a quality they possess. Rude !!!!
Im in construction. First time shopper. Better selection than I expected, fantastic service, clean, well staffed. Nice. I will be back.
I bought a beach umbrella this past Friday in lieu of the heat wave. When I got the item the end of the bag was tarnished and full of holes. The end with the closing string looked faded from the sun. When I opened the umbrella it was good condition but the zippers were faulty. Their website states that to return items one can either take it back to the store or call. Since I work 9-5 and they close at 5pm, I decided to call. This service agent proceeds to tell me that she can help me and tells me, and I quote: “just take it back to the store.” I explained that their website mentioned being able to call and that I work 9-5pm and she tells me she can’t place or return orders but she can look up what time the store is open. Lady I can Google that just fine. What a waste of my time. I won’t be buying from Ace Hardware again. A company that gives you tarnished broken items, and then has not only a misleading return policy but customer service agents that don’t do anything is not a company I want to do business with.
Maple Leaf is well organized, full of helpful people, and stocks both the right thing and the right amount to take care of most everyday hardware needs (including garden and paint stuff). They dont go deep on plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or lumber, but they have enough to get you by on most of those for the most common issues, and helpful staff to get you in the right direction quickly.
I love this locally owned, fully staffed quality hardware store. I would much rather buy something here, and if it doesnt work bring it back no questions asked than a big box store or amazon!
Just enough of everything one may need for house maintenance and repair and generally nice place with happy people, most of the time 😊
Outside of a few at the front desk and the older staff, the help here is usually suspect. They line up like their ready to help you, but with the younger staff, it feels more like teenagers who would rather not be at work. I noticed that at Dunn Lumber too. The store is so small, you really dont need that much staff standing around.
Ive never had poor service here. I never have to wait to get help. Great spot.
Super helpful place and way faster than the big stores for about the same price
This local hardware store is well stocked with attentive knowledgeable staff. The aisles are tight which makes social distancing hard but its not an issue if youre there at off-peak times. Parking isnt terrible and there is a good coffee shop to go to nearby if its too crowded.
Great independently owned neighborhood hardware store. Very helpful staff, and a surprisingly large selection of items.
The people working here are always knowledgeable and helpful. They have a good selection of items even though the store is not very big. Would recommend!
This is a real old-school hardware store, the people working there knew about the things they were selling, service was quick and friendly.
Knowledgeable crew and a broad selection of paint, products, and household widgets.
Amazing little hole in the wall. I went there to get very specific metric bolts for a project I was working on. Neither Home Depot or Lowes had these bolts and someone from Home Depot recommended I try Maple Leaf Hardware. I found them quite easily and the price was what I was expecting to pay. Friendly staff helped me as well. thumbs up!
Friendly neighborhood hardware store. Staff is very helpful and attentive. Great selection. Locally owned. Love it.
Friendly neighborhood hardware store, parking lot, online pickup orders.
Fast and friendly advice can be found from the moment you walk in; even if you think you already know what youre doing, just ask. This is my favorite local shop.
These clowns just tried to charge me $70 for a blank transponder key. They are $9 or less online. Absolute frauds. I even took the time to call ahead and John told me $3 to copy, never mentioned anything about $70 for the key blade.John lied to my face today and said that $70 is the wholesale price they pay. When I pointed out they are $9 or less online, he handed my key back without apology or explanation.Between the rude treatment at the other Ace Hardware closer to me, and here today, I would never consider returning for any reason.
Great local hardware store. Big selection for a small store with lots of staff available to help you and answer your questions!
All hardware needs are met here
Staff here are very helpful and knowledgeable...even if they know they need someone with more experience to correctly answer questions
John you are the best I really appreciate your help thank you so much youre awesome
Love this place when I need advice on a project and a little personal attention - something not easily found at a big box store.
All the staff are so knowledgeable and helpful. Just ask them for what you are looking for and they will take you right to it and answer any questions you have, making your visit quick and efficient!! Love this store and its employees.
Wide range of products/ tools and helpful staff.
Friendly local hardware store- much better experience than any large chains in the area. Thank you!
Great place to buy just the right part you need for a Plumbing or electrical project.
Pretty decent store for a neighborhood hardware store some employees are definitely 5star rated but there’s more rude ones. Always following you around as if you’re a thief. Maybe because the lack of diversity among the staff
Great selection and friendly staff! While I thoroughly enjoy shopping here, my wife and wallet do not.
Great. Best little hardware store ever!
Love my neighborhood hardware store. Staff is always friendly and helpful.
Remarkably well stocked and filled with helpful staff. Pricing is also surprisingly competitive. I go there for most of my hardware needs.
We love our local ace hardware here in maple Leaf! The service and quality of product is unbeatable, always plenty of helpful staff around to answer questions and help you trouble shoot home improvement projects. I love how quickly I’m in and out the door and with exactly what I’m looking for.
Theres a reason this store is busy. Im a contractor, and there are tools and parts I need that I can only find at the Ace stores, but specifically Maple Leaf. Its a destination store, because I live in the south end. Rainier Lowes is closer, but I make the trip for what I need. The customer service is top notch, the neighborhood feel is Old Seattle which is rapidly disappearing and so precious.
Great hardware store. Each time I visit, the people working there are friendly and helpful. The employees roaming the store really know their way around the store and around a home improvement project.
They always have what you need and they know exactly where it is in the store.
Local old fashioned hardware store with great staff and awesome selection. Found the smallest screw extractor that the big box stores dont bother to carry. Bdsm. Problem fixed. Not sure how they get this selection in such a smaller space.
Would have gotten 4 stars if they had the right item waiting for me that they said they would. Would have gotten 5 stars if they let a customer spending $400 use the bathroom.
Good sorted neighborhood Ace. I saw at least 6 reps in the store on a Saturday. Very friendly.
As a contractor I love to support local businesses and this is one of my favorite local hardware ACE. The staff know me by my first name and are always going above and beyond to make sure that I receive great customer service. Thanks guys!
The most helpful hardware store ever!
Great friendly folks and a good selection of hardware. Give them a try first, before going to one of the big chains.
Good selection and friendly staff. Be careful it may be full of customers.
Maple Leaf Hardware has lots of friendly, knowledgeable help. You will never waste your time here. In addition to all the usual hardware, tools, paint and garden items, they stock a nice assortment of kitchen gear and seasonal toys. This is just my favorite store!
I love the knowledgeable staff and great selection. Shop local!
Super helpful. Have a good selection of a smattering of everything. Prices are appropriatly higher than HD/Lowes, but so is the quality of product and service. Ive actually developed a friendship with some employees - thats how much they are interested in the success of your projects!
Fans were available, when it was not available in big stores
Love this place! I can always find what I need, quickly. They have a huge range of items, buy keys, garden tools, paint, soil, tools, and random stuff. They might be a little more expensive than other places, but the rewards program, convenience, and service makes up for it!
Great selection of stuff and great service. Most expensive Ace hardware.. Most expensive hardware store I know of in Seattle.
Great selection, helpful staff and good coronavirus distancing.
Stunning amount of stock for the size of the store. If you have a question, they will have an answer with the piece you need to buy, or suggestions for where/how to find the right solution. I will always go to Maple Leaf Ace before any big box store.
Great service and great supplies. I like to shop here instead of the big box stores when I can. Such a pleasant experience, especially if you have any questions about what you need.
Classic neighborhood hardware store. I wish we had one in my more suburban neighborhood. Plenty of help, to find what you need and get what you need.
This is a gem of a community hardware store! Support local retail!
Funky got everything type of store with staff that knows where everything is. Good prices and discoverable treasures you cant do without!
Always has what I need
Comprehensive neighborhood hardware store that also has a few gift type things. Dog friendly! Friendly and informed staff members who are easy to find if they dont find you first.
Good neighborhood hardware store.
For quick home purchases, I always choose Maple Leaf Hardware over the big box stores. The staff is better than any at Home Depot or Lowes and they know their stuff. Im happy to have an independently owned Ace near me!
This place is exactly what a neighborhood hardware store used to be and always should be. Theres always someone there to help with a smile, checkout is easy. I find myself looking for things to buy / reasons to go in and buy something. Oh and the in-store pick option when ordering something online means I dont EVER have to go to Home Depot! :)
They are always knowledgeable and helpful 👍👍
Great selection of items. Competent and friendly staff.
Friendly, helpful and knowledge staff. Fantastic selection of nuts, bolts, washers, etc. Great selection of pretty much everything else you might need around the house, from garden to plumbing projects. My favorite part? Sign up for their rewards program, and they track your purchases on your account, which means they will let you return stuff without a receipt.
Always helpful. If they dont have it, you probably didnt need it.
Ace, extremely helpful staff. Helped me by taking the time to come outside multiple times trying multiple pieces of hardware on my van until we fixed something the dealership said would need to be fully replaced! Thanks guys! (One low profile locking nut.... lol)
Great staff helping.
It may be a tight fit but we always get great help and direction!
Had the items I needed in stock and staff knew exactly where they were located.
Such nice people. We went in to get a bbq. They helped us get the right propane tank and made sure we had the right adapter. Thoughtful service.
Staff. They have plenty of freindly staff
Swarming with helpful employees, enough cash registers always running. This store respects the value of our time.Excellently maintained fastener section.Nearly everything necessary for home maintenance, DIY projects. The only reason to spend more time waiting in line and struggling with other hassles would be for dimensional lumber, other goods that actually need a Big Box.
Very friendly and helpful however they are not doing most auto key replacements as they are incapable of entering the car to code it. Please be aware theyre not answering their phones during covid either.
Its small but they seem to have what we need every time we go in. There eas a crush of people there today but the check-out line was orderly and moved quickly. Great little local hardware shop.
I searched everywhere for a pickling crock and they have 3 options! Lots of good stuff beyond just hardware. Plus friendly staff and clean, organized store.
Great staff. Super helpful.
These folks are great! I went in with a weird problem to solve and they did it. Since the fix ended up not needing to purchase anything at their store, they didnt charge me anything at all after spending 20 minutes working on my widget. I ended up buying a couple of things that we needed for the house because I am extremely grateful to them.
Great local hardware shop. Friendly and seemingly knowledgeable staff. The prices are more expensive than other hardware stores and selection is good but not endless. 3 stars for making it easy and manageable but not over achieving. Overall with it to support local business.
Love this place. They are super helpful and always seem to have what I need.
An old-fashioned hardware store, not quite as eclectic as hardwicks was... Service was fabulous!
First time here. Staff was helpful. Had the hardware I needed. Location is tight and parking limited. Store is small.Overall impression: No real negatives...but...on the other hand nothing remarkable either leaving me to give it an average rating.
There are such nice and helpful workers here who can help you find items!
We recently went to the Maple Leaf Ace to find a way to repair a “light switch remote” for our Christmas lights. The remote was actually missing a battery cover (along with the battery)which was why it wasn’t working. “Scott” was instrumental in fixing this remote, not only troubleshooting the problem but “jerry-rigging” the remote to keep the battery in, but spending a half hour of his time for a small purchase! We frequently shop this Ace, specifically for the stellar customer service and friendly staff. As non-handy people we value their knowledge and expertise. We will come here for all our “hardware” needs!
Rip off worst of the worst Chinese goods
The best. Perfect. Every time I go in the employees know their store and business. Always helpful. If Im not sure how to do what I need they know. And dont have to search for someone to help. Thank you.
Small. But friendly.
Best service of any hardware store ever! Every employee knows where everything is, and are eager to point you in the right direction. The lines move quickly, and they have a frequent buyer program that allows you to save as you purchase. Locally owned and operated, its a pleasure to support this business.
Great staff, always willing to help. Assisted with loading snow blower and multiple trips worth of ice melt etc during the recent Seattle snow. Efficient on the phone, and orders always seem to arrive early (even in the middle of a snowstorm, their delivery guy still made it!).
While not the largest or cheapest hardware store, it is one of my favorites. The first thing I notice is the incredibly helpful and diverse staff waiting up from to help you. Its not just a bunch of old grumpy men that dont want to be bothered. They usually have what I need, and have even had a few obscure items I could not find elsewhere, and at a good price (oxalic acid). I recommend this hardware store. I give 4 instead of 5 stars only because it is an ACE, which means they have a bit less selection of brands.
