This is a place that is quick to let you know that their time is more important than yours. I called ahead to make sure I could make it before close and they said well see. So I rushed to get there and walked up as the closed sign was being placed on the door at 5:59. And they aggressively told me to leave - that they were closed. And I had three items on hold at the front desk, because they wouldnt allow purchase over the phone. Guess Home Depot wins this sale.

Nice little store. Like most ACE hardware locations, they go HAM on staffing - lots of folks to answer questions, to the point where you kind of have to duck-and-dodge on your way back to the aisle if you already know what you want - but thats a great problem to have compared to a lot of stores.

Do not buy big stuff here. I picked up my lawn mower here I bought it online, and next day I tried to return since I didn’t know it was not a self propelled model. I never used it, just unboxed it (it was too big, there is no way to open it without cut it down..) It was a battery power tool. But they rejected it because I don’t have the original box… I wish I bought it from Home Depot or Lowes. Now I have 2 mowers, one is this $400 one I can’t return and another self propelled model I bought again in other shop. :/

I’ve been in many times - both on my own and with my husband. When I’m with my husband - all sorts of help shows up. When I’m on my own, it’s as if I’m invisible or simply bothering the people who work there. Definitely recommend hanging on to your self-respect and going somewhere else - which is too bad as I live in Magnolia and would love to have a hardware store here where I feel welcome and as if people who work here actually want to help. I’m now officially done with this store - stoneway hardware will get all our future business.

Had a custom piece of plexiglass cut and one edge was pretty jagged. Brought it back to be fixed and ended up having to purchase another one at my expense. Why dont they stand behind their work?

I personally love Ace Hardware... doesnt matter what store I go to... Magnolia or downtown Seattles Hero Ace hardware...they always have what I want and at great prices...I recommend them to everybody all the time...

Convenient but not very friendly or helpful.

A nice local HW store; has most of the basics. Mostly nice and helpful staff that are engaging when you ask for help, EXCEPT the younger black-haired guy! He only ever answers with a barely-audible Yes/No grunt, but then never offers an alternative nor recommends you ask another associate! And he never asks if you have an Ace Rewards card. Thank goodness theres the real tall man with the huge beard that always greets you with a good morning, no matter what time it is! Hes the most helpful!

Staff is super slow and really indifferent. Went in at 9:30 to have a couple keys made. 4 employees in the store. One older gentleman digging around the key kiosk attempting to make/ find a key. Instead of offering him any help the other 3 look on / chat. I left, ran another errand and came back and he was still working on the same key (???). Again, none of the other 3 arent doing anything, nor do they offer to assist in anyway. Since I didn’t have 30 min to dedicate to this errand I left. Would have been faster just to drive to Stoneway Hardware in the first place.

Great local Ace hardware store. Great selection beyond typical hardware stores items, and friendly staff. Loved the shop birds and their sweet stories. Great local spot for all your needs, highly recommend joining the ace loyalty program also!

They have free popcorn. What more do you need? Seriously. Ok, they have other items there as well, at higher prices than at the big stores but you pay more for convenience. Popcorn.

Staff is always helpful and they have a nice selection of hardware to choose from. A definite joy to shop at as opposed to the mega big hardware stores. Well done Magnolia Ace Hardware!

Great selection of needed parts for deck project.

Its ok. They have a lot a hardware crammed into a small space. Some things are priced competitively and other things are way overpriced. Employees could be friendlier to be honest. A few are nice, but a few seem disgruntled. I avoid this Ace unless I cant get to a larger hardware store.

Excellent customer service. Their staff are always helpful and unlike the big box stores, they take the time to help you with your project questions. Theyve saved me money by helping me do many repairs myself. I always start my projects here!

Closes at 6pm, works fine unless you have to work regular hours. Prices are not competitive either. Would love to support local shops but If I cant get to them without taking a day off from work then my only other option is the big guys that stay open till 9-10pm... with better prices.

Tried twice to grind keys for me but never got them to work. They did give me a refund though

While remodeling for American Dance Institutes new dance studio, I visited Magnolias Ace Hardware store many, many times and always found them super helpful and friendly. They also had a great selection of items and plenty of stock on hand. This is a well run operation with competitively priced products.

Fantastic hardware store, the very helpful employees know about how to repair and fix everything from screen doors, electrical, plumbing to even how to construct river rock fire places. This is a huge neighborhood asset so we dont have to drive to the big box stores. And they always have a treat for my dog, and popcorn for the kids.

The lady at the front desk she’s so weird I’m having two times problem with her one time I pick up stuff I was at the register and then I said I just change my mind I’m gonna change it with something else I didn’t even pay it and then she said she cannot take the return and then she just print the receipt right away and then today I went there again it was 12 o’clockAnd I gave her hundred dollars and she said it’s too early I cannot break it so why did you guys open the shop if it’s too early it’s so disappointed I don’t think I will go back there ever again because of that old lady at the register
