It seems more things are out of stock than in. Produce section is a mess. It is old, which could be cool if youre not into everything modernizing so fast in Seattle, but it seems like management doesnt exist. Easily the worst grocery store in Seattle.

Magnolia Albertsons it’s been a staple for years for the people of Magnolia. Now it is making way for a brand new Safeway/condominium project. Which will add much traffic and much higher Home prices in the area.

Albertsons is a tiny store with plenty of heart, if you would allow the cliche. The cashiers are very helpful and friendly and ready to locate any item you may need. The produce is fresh and there is a good variety of meat and fish to choose from. While everything is great in-house, I would like to suggest that the store is sorely in need of a facelift. Maybe some paint here there, better lighting, and some stronger shading when the sun is especially intense during the summer (you can hardly see the cashier in front of you when checking out).

Fresh produce is very low quality. The same goes for vegetables and fruits. The building is outdated and could use some minor repairs. This grocery store is convenient for most Magnolia residents for last-minute shelf items, but I wouldn’t recommend it for fresh produce. Prices are somewhat cheaper than QFC. The staff is amicable, specially the store manager Shelly; she’s such a sweetheart.

This location is small for am Albertsons but didnt seem to be missing anything I expected to see. Even with the Covid-19 pandemic raging and most stores closing their bathrooms to the public, the employee I spoke with let me know I could use theirs and directed me to it. The store (and restroom) was clean and organized and full of positive staff.

This place is like walking into the mid 90s. I swear this particular albertsons has fallen through the corporate cracks and remained as is for the last 30 years. For this, it depends on what your looking for, if thats a no frills walk in walk out, this is it and I love it.

This is the best stocked place in Magnolia District. I had too much to carry but no car or truck. It has rare items like box juices. A lot of freshly made foods and salads and desserts. Hard to choose because so many. Very nicely spaced aisles for accessibility and wheelchair friendly. Only real problem, not their fault, is buses are two or three blocks away. Metro needs to add more trips and another route because Magnolia is a busy place now. I live downtown but visited since the 1970s when l had a car....

Oh man the final outpost of this chain in the city (I believe), and for good reason. Their produce and bakery rival Grocery Outlet in quality but are more like QFC in cost. Location is convenient for when you dont want to cross a bridge or give up your firstborn for an apple at Met Market down the street. Also for generic shelf stable products and drinks they have a decent selection.

This store gets worse every time I visit. And they do not care at all about Covid-19 or keeping their customers safe. When I walked in there was nobody making sure the carts and baskets were clean, and no wipes or sanitizer available for customers. There was a sign posted that masks were required, but nobody was enforcing it, and sure enough, there was a customer wandering around the front end right in front of the employees without one.The employees themselves care little about social distancing, I had three separate ones in produce, on the aisle and in the bakery, crowd me repeatedly while I was selecting things for purchase, on aisles that were otherwise empty, and where I had been first.Since this store is destined to be torn down and become a Safeway, they dont really care about keeping it up. Lots of small repairs need to be done, and the overall dinginess of the store, especially around the checkout counters, shows they dont put much effort into cleaning it either. The produce is the saddest I have ever seen at any store, like they went dumpster diving at QFC to stock the place. The cashier is virtually enclosed in plexiglass, and with the mask its nice to know that he is protected. That said, my disaffected cashier (some tall guy in his late teens/early 20s) did not greet me, did not talk, and his answers to my questions (how do I enter my club card number since they changed the terminal) were barely audible. They did not even thank me for my purchase. Its a little thing, that you dont notice until it isnt there. This place has been circling the drain for a long time, but I come back occasionally for cheap shelf items. Given the state of the store and the demeanor of their employees, I wont be handing them any more of my money. Other grocery stores in the area work harder for it.

I havent been there since 2002 when l couldnt afford to own a car. What a nice place now. Lots of food and box drinks l rarely see in stores anymore. Never thought I’d be the person to write a review. But after my experience yesterday I feel the need to. First of all this Albertsons is dirty and has the WORST selection of produce. The real bright side to it all is that they have cheaper beverages which is the only reason I was there last night. The woman checking me out grabbed my ID and immediately started accusing me of having a fake. Which is NOT true. She insisted it wasn’t real “well Idaho makes a lot of fakes” and then refused to sell to me. I wasn’t aware that the cashier can just pick and choose who they would like to sell to. So in my case I find zero reason to go back to this store...poor customer service, horrible produce selection, and it’s just a dirty store. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Ive heard so many bad things about this Albertsons that I decided to check it out as I started looking for an apartment in Magnolia. What I found was a dated and slightly small but otherwise totally normal Safeway (who now owns Albertsons). The produce, meat, and deli were all fresh, there was a large organic produce section that was well stocked, and the staff were courteous and helpful. People had written that they had a limited selection and while I didnt examine every nook and cranny, every item I thought to look for was there on the shelves (including some very nice Italian coffees). It would be a four star grocery store, but the fifth star bringing it into the exceptional category is for not being marked up like QFC and Met Market, despite being in a high income neighborhood.)(Also, another reviewer said that they dont front their shelves, meaning pulling the items forward. Maybe because I read this comment I was primed to notice, but I was actually shocked by how well fronted the shelves were! The store looked immaculate.)

Its a little worn down and their selection of modern foods is lacking but it is inexpensive. By modern foods I mean things like vegetarian meats or exotic organic/free-range/blah-fed bacons. Its essentially an anti-Whole Foods. That said, when I dont feel like spending 2x as much on Cheerios, beer, or chips its a great option in Magnolia. They also have sizes larger than the other Magnolia stores which is great since Im in a 5 person house.

We appreciate being able to run over here and for the most part we can get what we need. But explain to me why when you have only one lane open, it is operated by someone on her first day, doing her best but still causing back up and anxiety for all concerned. And this while a manager is clearly having a social conversation. Come on! Wake up! We want to be your customers but can so easily go elsewhere.

I hope they never make it fancy its where long time Magnolia neighbors shop and you will run into old friends there. Shelly rocks!
