Came with the City Pass (amazing value, you should get it if you’re visiting). It’s my first time visiting this aquarium and I really enjoyed the exhibits! Learning about the different local wildlife and how some are endangered is very interesting. I really enjoyed seeing the seal, octopus and the birds! There’s also an amazing observation deck of the water!!! Definitely worth coming to at least once!

An amazing place and a good way to support the Aquarium is through purchasing stuff from the gift shop. The clothing is made from recycled bottles, so thats so cool. The clothing is extremely soft! I also got some cute keychains and a book that called to me. Its not a Huge huge place but its definitely enough to excite people and really give you a good look at pacific sea life. The education is very cool and there is a touch room! Which is good for younger kids.

The Seattle Aquarium is a delightful place for all ages. The staff is friendly, the Aquarium is clean, and they obey all state health orders. This particular day I brought my mother, fighting cancer, and was impressed with the staff. They were kind and brought my mother into the air-conditioned building as I waited in line. There was plenty of seating for her to rest as she found herself needing to sit from time to time. The facility was not overcrowded, and there were plenty of open places for us to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful views. I was able to create a beautiful memory, have a personal conversation and reflection. For this, I will be forever grateful to the Seattle Aquarium and its staff. Its these little things that change the lives of others. Thank you.

Not a huge aquarium but very clean and you can tell their efforts are conservation at its finest. Nice aquarium, but not as good as Mystic or Boston. A bit steep on pricing.. 35.00+ for adults! 20.00 would have been fair.Overall, a good place to bring the kids, but you can skip this as an adult, unless you are into aquariums.

Excellent aquarium with a good variety of animals. The touch portion was great with readily accessible hand wash stations and several employees on hand to talk about everything in the tank. It was a little confusing walking around since there are multiple loops and no real direction for starting from, we almost missed a set of exhibits because of the way we went around.

Its nice small center. Fun to take the kids there once in awhile. Kind of pricey, its like $34 or $35 per adult. And They dont have shark in the aquarium, no sea turtles, missing lots of basic sea lives like, lobsters, squid. They have one giant lonely octopus in a narrow tank.

They have a lot more animals here than I expected. The prices are high but once you get inside you can immediately see where all of that money is going. There is a tide pool touching exhibit, bird and land mammal exhibits, rip tide tanks. The price is bit something I would be willing to pay often but for a one time experience it was worth it.

Very underrated! I’m not sure why the reviews are low but this was the best aquarium I’ve ever been to. They had amazing ecological exhibits, were very authentic and accurate for science and nature. The people that work there are very knowledgeable and you will learn a lot going through the whole museum. The museum is also very large and so it’ll take you at least a couple hours to get through everything the first time.Highly recommend going during mating season. There is a lot of interaction between animals and the testosterone makes them pretty active LOL. Seeing animals roughhousing was entertaining to watch. Would return. Great for families and tourists. I LOVE Aquariums - and this was definitely at the top of the list of places I wanted to visit in Seattle - however I wouldnt make it yours - especially if you are a fan of Aquariums. Some of the enclosures seemed to not be healthy for the animals. I posted a picture of some fish that were just swimming in place in one tank, a TINY Octopus tank and a bare and small tank where a seal? literally swam in circles for the 10 minutes I was watching it.The touch tanks had two tiny sinks with 1/2 ply paper towels to keep people clean. The sinks themselves seemed unsanitary and having to use the sink area in order to dry your hands was a waste of efficiency and hygiene. The aquarium seemed to be mostly centered on tropical fish and had little eye capturing educational material. There was an area dedicated to Salmon that was shoved in a corner. The gift shop was TERRIBLE - every clothing item only had 1-2 sizes available and when asked an employee stated that there were no more sizes available. They had few to no souvenir sized stuff animals and nothing that tied back to a particular animal that someone wouldve seen in the aquarium, other than the clothing and other commonly mass produced items, everything seemed like it was picked out a catalog of random aquarium things.Perfect opportunity to collaborate with the Ice Hockey team and their Kraken was completely wasted.

After living here in Seattle for quite some time, I finally was able to make it to the Seattle Aquarium and it was well worth the wait. Attending during the COVID era of social distancing, everything was safe and clean, aisles and walkways clearly marked for one-way traffic. There are two standout areas of the main exhibit, including an amazing underwater dome, that really make this place special. But while that is great, the outdoor portion towards the end of the self-guided tour is equally as mesmerizing as you can really get to see many of the animals in their glory - unfiltered and playing and/or relaxing. You really get to experience it all here, and it is a highly recommended stop for locals and tourists alike.

A small private aquarium with a reasonable selection of exhibits. The price here is higher than other publicly funded or patron-funded aquariums, but as long youre good with the price, the quality is pretty good. There are a number of nice touch pools and exhibits with local fish, which feels pretty standard at this point. Some of the standouts are a fully underwater observation room, seals, river otters, and fairly rare sea otters. This isnt the sort of place youll spend the day, but it was a pleasant way to spend a couple hours.

Overall, not a bad visit. Not as exciting as Id hoped. The crowd, even during timed visit entries were hectic. We took our two young children, and there were a lot of adults pushing through them to see the tanks. We tried to keep the rule of take a look for a couple of minutes and then move on. So we werent standing in front of the tank for a long time. Even then, people were pushing through and jumping in front of our two young children in order to get a better view. It wouldve been nice if it was regulated a little better or workers there to make sure people were respectful (there were plenty of workers but they just stood around). It would be very educational for 6 years old and up and pretty cool experience for all ages aside from the crowd.

Awesome aquarium!Bought tickets at 5pm (last call), and was able to tour the aquarium with little to no other visitors present. Upon entering, I was met with a wall of sea life. On the side of it was a cylinder enclave that allowed for great photos. Passing the wave/ reef simulation, I entered the touch pool (but not able to do so to date), and was met with 2 very knowledgeable employees who answered my every question about the sea life present. Giant Pacific Octopus caught my attention as it sprawled its glass aquarius. After the fish tanks, the bird area, and the overhead aquarium dome, I was stuck watching the otters play. 1 spun in the water constantly (wish I knew if that was normal), while the other 2 floated on their backs. After, salmon exhibit and River Otters paved the way to the exit. Store was closed at this time as I left, and proceeded down the pier to watch a wonderful sun set slowing making its way down the mountain ranges of Washington. Fin.

It could be the Covid era, but many of the exhibits were closed and or empty - which is disappointing for an already relatively small aquarium. I have, admittedly, a high bar for aquariums. Ive been to the Georgia Aquarium, the Florida Aquarium, and the Shedd Aquarium (the 3 crown jewels of Aquariums in the US, in my opinion) and the Seattle Aquarium is, frankly, a fraction of the size or quantity of those 3. Too much space was devoted to the you-can-touch-it area which I suppose may be fun for some - but too many of the remaining exhibits were little beyond a typical home aquarium. That is to say - they were small (for a metropolitan aquarium), square, and not clearly natural in design or decor. The large main aquarium is nice and well done - but is only visible from one main wall and a small side-bubble. All in all - considering the location of Seattle and not one of the larger metropolitan areas, I can forgive much of that. It was, in context, good enough to be a 4-star visit. Just keep in mind that parking can be tricky (though they do kindly offer to validate 3 hours worth of parking at the area garages) and that if youve been to other marquee aquariums you may be expecting more than this one will offer.

I think the truth is its just an okay aquarium in a city where it feels like we should have a stellar one.The staff is superb - theyre informative, and great with the kids coming through. But the facilities are small, outdated, and the layout is constrained by the lack of space this aquarium is provided because of its tight footprint. You will blow through the entire place in about an hour, and for the price it just feels like a letdown. This is a GREAT stop for kids under the age of 10 who want to spend time in a hands-on exhibit with sea anemones and starfish, but for anyone else youre honestly better off saving your money.
