One of the only fabric stores left in Seattle. They have everything including very helpful and knowledgeable staff!
I wish I could give this place 1000 stars. Every single time Ive come has always been a fantastic experience. SHOUTOUT TO THE EMPLOYEES! I wish I knew all their names, but they all are enthusiastic for helping me find what I need, and in many cases, have helped me find fabrics I never wouldve found myself. Theyve helped me find everything, and they know everything. Seriously guys, 10/10.
Such fun to shop all the wonderful fabrics and so much more. Everyone is very helpful.
Reasonable prices and friendly workers
I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the store and variety of fabrics and sewing tools/misc. Not your average Joanns, they had a ton of really nice salvaged silk, wool, designer fabric etc as well as many apparel fabrics and cotton prints. Recommend going especially if youre into sewing clothing or quilting!Note that its a little hard to find, its actually on the top floor of the steel processing building and we missed the turn the first time. Had to loop around and try again. I included a picture of the entrance to help but dont rely on your GPS to tell you where to turn as it comes up pretty fast.
Been going to this store for more than a decade. Great selection, knowledgeable staff! My go-to for all my sewing needs!
I was thrilled by this place. I expected it would be mostly outdoor fabrics but I was wrong. Theres tons of thick, printed cotton and they have rayon, linen, gauze, whatever youre looking for. Id only choose JoAnns over PF if you need costume fabrics. Super inexpensive zippers (1/3 the price of JoAnns) and an expansive choice of fat quarters and smaller fabric scraps for quilting. This is my new favorite fabric store, I absolutely will be back. Plenty of parking but due to it being in a warehouse, it was quite hot on an 85 degree day. Also, several steep steps to get up to the second floor.
My first time here, & I walked into a HUGE selection of fabric, yarn, and all the other things you want and need to be able to make sure that your project will be exactly what you want. the customer service was incredible! staff was knowledgeable, and helpful, and I was approached, b4 I had to go find some help. there was a very friendly and helpful middle aged male (cant remember his name 🤔) who took the time to get my questions correctly answered, then spent some time with me conversing on life, (& the fact that we had the same birthday! cool!) and I just really enjoyed our conversation, which came to include the other 2 or 3 employees! I will be coming back here whenever I need my fabric and craft supplies!
Found this place online and went to check it out. It is a nice fabric store that also offers sewing and craft needs. The staff is helpful and friendly. I would recommend making an appointment since they are limiting the number of people in the store at this time.
Exceeded expectations! Awesome selection with a quilt store atmosphere.
Great fabric store, very nice staff. Good assortment of fabrics for sewing clothes & home decorating.
Love this store sooooo much. I hope you can open more locations again, but am so glad to still have so many beautiful fabric choices that I can see and touch before buying. Love the natural light coming into the space.
They always have what I need.Unbeknownst to me, shopping is by appointment only. Thankfully the helpful staff were able to accommodate me during a slow time.
Support our wonderful local fabric store. Delightful employees and really good music to shop to.
Sales staff was so helpful, will come again here.
Great historical local business. I have been coming here for great deals on quality fabric since my mom brought me as a kid.
Everyone was so helpful... even pulled an item from the web store inventory for me. Fabulous customer service!
Came down from Alaska, rented a car, drove to the store.... several employees walked out locked the door and said they were closed from lack of staff. How about just limit the amount of customers coming in at one time.
Great variety of fabrics colors and prints
This is a great fabric store! There is such a lack of fabric stores in the area, so this is an amazing resource to have around. They have quite a good selection of good quality fabric and tons of supplies and tools. The staff were very nice, present for help but not hovering. They have a large, nicely organized remnant section which is awesome! Ill definitely be back!
I live in Oklahoma, I ordered fabric from them and they shipped it off ASAP the Fabric is Beautiful, great quality, And the staff was Great, I will be ordering more fabric, I highly recommend them.
Thank you Cliffs for having so many items I never realized I needed and love. I really appreciate your thoughtful response when I felt unwelcome based on an employees behavior. Im a regular shopper here and really enjoy popping in and bringing out of towers here. Love ya Cliffs!
One of the largest non-chain fabric stores. Only other option is Joannes and lets be honest, they have deals but you have to soft through them. I also live too far away from hobby lobby to get fabric I need. So Pacific fabrics it is! You can get everything thing from curtain and quilt fabric to furniture and vehicle upholstery. All your batting, gimp and trimming needs in one place!
Not the cheapest, but definitely one of the best places in Seattle to get a good mix of higher quality textiles and a good, solid core set of tools for sewing practically anything. They could probably stock a bigger selection of notions, but it’s hard to justify devoting that much space for product that moves slowly.Overall, I like this location a whole lot more than their bigger stores because of the friendly and knowledgeable staff, not trying to sell you a bunch of machines, furniture or knickknacks that distract from the creating process.I wish this location is more handicapped accessible for some of the older sewing gurus I lure out to impart their collective centuries of experience. The stairs at the entrance are quite challenging. I think there may be a freight elevator in that warehouse, but have not looked hard for it.
Well worth the trip. Parking is appreciated.
Such a wonderful fabric store. Its been there along time, it really brings back so many wonderful memories. You can really find anything you need when sewing. The people working there are absolutely sweet and very very helpful. It is just abuzz trip across I90 from Kirkland.
Helpful staff..great selection of fabrics. Not so much specialty or custom needs but still a go to. Always great bargains on closeouts too.
Lots of interesting fabric, really helpful people. I went in with a black linen tunic that I had had made by an East coast seamstress, and one of the staff showed me exactly what needed to be changed to make it fit (wish I could remember her name). She even pinned it for me. I was able to mail the tunic back east and get it altered so that now it does fit. I thought this was above the call of duty (particularly since I only spent about $3 in notions that day, and only make it into the store about 4 times a year), but the woman who helped me acted more like my tunic was an interesting problem she wanted to help me solve.
Since the Bellevue and Issaquah locations are gone this is the last one left on this side of Puget Sound. Parking is easy in front of the store, but beware the stairs should you need accessible access. They are remodeling so I hope the dingy carpet will leave? The fabrics are awesome, so check it out.
Still a great fabric and craft store, they are remodeling so the selection of patterns are down. Still found a few goodies and always fun looking!
Sooo helpful!
Pretty good collection of fabrics and craft supplies. A little bit of everything, plenty of buttons and a decent yarn supply. Very slow, thorough service.Lots of stairs and no ramp or elevator. Dont mind the crashing boom of the industrial recycle center in the same building, nobody else seems to...
I love mood but the fabrics are very overpriced. I never buy fabric from here. What I do buy is notions: thread, zippers, and trims. They are very reasonable priced and have ever color you could possibly need.
Kind of funky store (really awful stairs), but nice products. Those who say its overpriced apparently shop at Jo-Ann for fabric, because its fairly standard pricing for quality fabrics. Discount places use different lines of fabric that tend to fade and bleed in the wash, and are less tightly woven. You get what you pay for, and if you are going to the effort to make garments or quilts, its well worth paying the price for quality materials. This store does have tables of flat folds fabrics that are generally lesser quality and are less expensive if one is on a budget, though. Staff here is very helpful.
I love this store. Its got so many fabrics, and notions, and crafting supplies, its amazing. The staff has always been helpful and pleasant, but never intrusive while at times it may appear that Im wandering around aimlessly. Lots of parking or front, but be forewarned theres a steep staircase up to the second floor of the building where they are located.
I love this store. Huge selection of fabrics, decent yarn selection, including local. Such wonderful staff, too!
Always try to get to Pacific Fabrics when Im in the Seattle area. Their fabric selection is awesome. One day I will plan ahead and take a class here.
LARGE craft store and obliging staff. Only a few samples of leather, but that can be forgiven. Also: not a bead store. Myriad buttons and so much fabric, foam, and at least basic tools for most any crafting session.
Im new to sewing but the staff has been very helpful to get me started. Went above and beyond to explain the hows and whys I needed.
Everything you could possibly need to sew something.
Amazing selection, very helpful and well informed employees, just a little pricey. Its worth every penny when toy can afford it, though. They do have student and senior discounts, which can help.
My son has been living in Seattle for the last 20 years and every time I visit his family, I live in South Africa, my first request is to go to Pacific Fabrics in Bellview. What a treat, the stock selection is fantastic and the staff helpfully and very friendly. Wish I could bring this shop back to SA!,
So much to see and touch. Love the old wooden floors and great customer service and helpful hints. Lots of ideas to think about.
First time in that store, it was a pretty nice selection but I noticed nothing was on sale. Chose a home decor fabric for making tote bags. To my great surprise the young woman helping me measured the fabric and then proceeded to RIP it instead of cutting it! When I got home and looked at it, there were horizontal runs all along the side that she ripped. I had to cut off about 3.5 inches of that side before I could use the fabric. Went to JoAnns today, tons of stuff on sale. Will not be going back to Pacific Fabrics Sodo.
Im glad that I do not need to go far to find what I am looking for. Pacific Fabrics is the best!
Love this place! And the ladies working there are always friendly and helpful.
We came from out of town for a convention and called ahead to see if they carried fiberfill! The person helping us on the phone was very helpful and we were able to pick up everything we need in time! We’ll make sure to stop by for all of our fabric needs whenever we’re back in town.
Honestly this was the worst customer experience I’ve ever experienced at a fabric store. When I was finished choosing my fabrics I brought them over to a big table with a sign that said “Cutting table” and a bell that said “ring for service”. No one was there so I rang the bell. A couple of employees saw me and straight up ignored me. I figured they were busy doing another task so I waited a minute before ringing the bell again. At this point someone had gotten in line behind me and rang the bell a third time. None of the 3-4 employees in the near vicinity said or did anything even though it’s not possible they didn’t hear the bell. Finally the customer behind me got fed up of waiting and asked the employee who was a few feet away to help us. She very dryly told us that we were supposed to go to a different table that was super hidden at the other side of the store. Really? Why didn’t you tell us this when you heard people ringing the bell?TLDR; no one wanted to help me cut my fabric, had to chase an employee down and was treated rudelyIt’s experiences like this that make me rather go to Joann’s where at least they’ve trained their employees to be responsive to customers.
I am Mikes wife....I called up on Sunday August 4th. I talked to two ladies that were so helpful. The first helped me with introducing me to the second lady. She walked me through the process of purchasing on line. I had better luck with my phone to purchase the material than on line...thanks to her. Some how I couldnt get to the green tab on my computer that said secure checkout.....but it worked on my phone. They never gave up on me! Now my order should be here today! I use to go to the Sodo store but because I live in Milton it is a distance away. Need the store in Pierce County.
SODO location: Very nice selection of well organized fabrics for just about any purpose. Regular discount days as well as advertised specials. Diverse schedule of classes offered. Helpful and efficient customer service. Always an enjoyable and productive visit.
This place is such a hidden gem! So much fabric and sewing notions and very helpful staff. They have the best fat quarter selection!
This place is like Disneyland for fabric lovers. Tons of options and great prices. I’ve been looking for the right fabric for my wedding dress for a month and finally found the perfect color!
Great selection for crafting materials beyond just fabrics. Store always has fresh rotation of made items to spark inspiration for projects.
Love this place. Funky old building with lots of character and excellent prices on a wide variety of of supplies. Superb customer service and advice.
If you can find where to turn into the parking lot you will find an amazing shop with a good selection of fabric, notions, and other crafting supplies.
Selection is terrific and good quality, staff are very helpful, and parking is good. Its 4/5 because of the cost, is all. But, theyre a small local company, so thats just par for the course - and worth it when you can swing it.
I love their precut table full of beautiful knits! I always get a great deal here with awesome discounts! Highly recommend
Staff was very helpful and she took the time to give me a short tutorial.
Sooooooo much fabric. I got a birthday discount and I had a hay day!I liked all of the staff and wish I would have had more time to spend taking classes or even applying to work there. With everything being online now days, it was nice to see so many designer fabrics in person.
Always super friendly and helpful! The wait is never long! Fully staffed! And a great selection, lots of sales.
Large selection, knowledgeable and friendly staff, pretty good prices, and free parking. The only drawback is its upstairs.
Designer flat folds and quilters prints, Many unique yardage pieces
Tons of fabrics, and friendly staff
The only thing I have to say is that they must have people who steal from th a lot. They stalked me through the store whem i put my phone back in my pocket convinced it was peoduct. I understand that they have to be diligent but it was very obviously my phone i put in there....so i was a bit offended. I was able to get some good prices on yarn so that made up for it a bit. They also gave me 20%off for signing up and 30% off any 1 full priced item.
Very helpful and friendly. Love all the unique fabrics and baubles. And it s inexpensive!!
Fabrics are a little on the expensive side, but good quality. Nice selection. Great place to find different foams, headliners for cars and accessories for all types of projects.
Very helpful ladies knowledgeable about sowing and patient made me remember how my grandma was. She would have been proud of me making my own costume.
The store is old and charming. They have basically what you need if its not super fancy. Decent employees (with the exception of the one who helped me, she was awfully slow moving...)
Interesting place to find. It’s upstairs in a warehouse. They do have a large selection of fabrics and especially WSU COUG fabrics which is hard to find in Seattle.
I always find some fabric to buy, even if I want looking! They have a great selection.
Sadly, closing most stores.I will really miss them.
Found everything I needed pretty quickly. Lots of neat stuff to browse through, too!
Love this place. Always great help and wonderful choice of fabrics and other things.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Love the convenience. Great selection of flat fold discount fabric.
Fun store great variety, helpful staff. A fun treasure hunt.
Not really a review, but was trying to help my mother get there earlier today, and she didnt remember that it was upstairs. Place has been there since what the 60s, cause I remember my mom dragging me there back in early 70s. So just making a note for others in case they forget to go upstairs.
Very helpful staff (Betty), knowledgeable and friendly. They also have classes for the public. Great set up!
Kinda grungy walking up the stairs but has a large variety of fabrics, crafts etc. Worth a visit
Warm and friendly atmosphereHelpful staffI like to patronize this place better than online...
An absolute must for the fabric, fiber arts.nd crafting enthusiasts. I LOVE THIS STORE!
Great fabrics, quilting, patterns, yarn, and all the supplies to go with them! Wonderful selection and knowledgeable staff.
Lots of material. Their material by the yard pricing is okay. But, pricing on everything else is rather steep. So, unless you cant wait its more cost efficient to go online.
They always have what I need and I love that theyre a local company.
Meh. I dont know why I end up here. Theyre always out of stuff, the staff is unhelpful and indifferent. Its an okay craft store but there are better. If youre in SODO, its worth stopping in if youre desperate. With some luck the items you need might be in stock. If nothing else you can enjoy the musty funk smell of the place. 👍😉
A ton of awesome fabric and buttons and yarn, and my cashier was delightful
Love the warehouse so much supplies for alot if different projects
Pretty solid fabric store in a kind of inconvenient location.
This is an amazing place to buy fabric! Huge selection, quite a few on sale, and friendly employees.
What an amazing place for a hobbiest fabric and many other items.
Wish they had more fleece.
Nice size place with a good variety of supplies.
Lots of quality fabrics.
Very helpful staff, lots of different fabrics to choose from. I have gone there for years...
Feeling crafty? Pac Fabs may have your supplies!
Low price and good selection.
Love to shop here when I visit Seattle.
