Just walked in to ask questions about ordering interior doors. The employee working was aloof and dismissive. Basically seemed like they didn’t want our business. I asked for a quote, but he said he couldn’t do that, but could maybe get us one by email next week. I asked for a ballpark estimate on a single door and he said he could not give us that either. He obviously had no experience with customer service. I will not be going back to this establishment again.

Sound View recently replaced a slider off of my patio that was overdue for a facelift. In addition to being impressed with the quality, the customer service was unmatched. Patrick came to install my door. He walked me through what the process would look like, made sure to bring any unforeseen snafus to my attention during the install, and tested the new door with me once the installation was complete. I would happily refer Sound View to someone looking to update their slider, and look forward to working with them on future projects.

The window installers were great.. They were both very nice and worked hard. We appreciated their constant communication as we have small children and juggling naps/play areas during construction is never easy. They were very clean and our house/yard look the same as when they arrived. They trim matched perfectly and they did a good job installing the windows.

There was only one window in our house that was original, 60 years old, single-pane aluminum framed. It was a very odd size. Sound View Window was easy to work with, from the sales representative to the installer. The window was made custom by Milgard and the window was ready and installed sooner than had been estimated. The installer, Simon, did a great job of installing, including framing and sealing on the exterior. All we need to do is paint the trim.

Simon did an incredible job! The order took several weeks to go through, but thats understandable given the dimensions of the window and the nature of the damage. On the day it got replaced, Simon did a fantastic job and left without a trace of work being done! The window looks absolutely perfect and paying the remaining balance over the phone was very quick. I would absolutely recommend them!!

Matt and Dan were incredibly responsive and helpful from the first inquiry I sent, to helping pick out the perfect door based on our specifications, scheduling, and making sure we were completely pleased with the finished product. We needed a door to go in the spot of a pre-existing window. The installation went very smoothly, and we are very impressed with the finished product. We are very satisfied with the quality of work and clear communication. They wore mask and goggles, and kept proper distance when talking with us. Very unprofessional staff.They caused a lot of damage to our window trim paint during the installation, even though they did not tell us this would happen. Big chunks of paint are missing, even in places they should not have touched. We were expecting an apology because they werent transparent with us on this risk. Im not a professional window installer so how would i know what the risks are?From their team It’s a difficult position to apologize for something that is part of the demolition process as it implies that we did something wrong. They did do something wrong by not being transparent during either of the two onsite visits they had in our home before installation. The only thing they told us in advance was to not get window treatments ordered yet for some of the windows because sizing might change.Millard windows can be bought by multiple vendors in Seattle, so better to go with one of them and get a more professional and experienced crew to instal.

I recently had some of my windows replaced by Sound View Windows and Doors and was incredibly happy with the entire process and finished product. I first started checking out replacement windows last year. I spoke with Jeff who was incredibly helpful even though he knew I was several months away from moving forward. He made great suggestions for replacement windows (Milgard trinity line) and was very helpful. . I did not feel any pressure yet he was very prompt to respond to my many questions and changes ( and there were Many!)Of the 3 bids I received this was the most thorough- everything was itemized so that it was easy to understand the work, the product and exactly what I was being charged for. The bid was also very competitively priced. The operations department was wonderful at communicating with me about scheduling. Because we scheduled the work before the pandemic, there were some timeline changes but they handled them great.Lastly the installers did a fabulous job. One of the windows they were replacing was an old oversized picture window that was wonky, installed poorly and hard to remove. The team worked on it for a long time and then took their time to repair the frame before putting in the new window. And, the windows look great! I am looking forward to having Sound View back to replace the rest of my windows. Everyone I dealt with seemed professional and honest. I highly recommend them!Lisa

We had an excellent experience related to new windows for our house. All aspects of the job from initial discussions, measurement, delivery and installation went smoothly.Patrick was excellent as the lead installer. He was knowledgeable regarding all aspects of the job, and kept us well informed. The job site was cleaned every evening.Overall good experience.

We helped my mom to have her windows replaced. She started with Renewal by Anderson who did an amazing job, but the price was high. So we hired Sound View to finish the kitchen and sliding door. Turns out they couldnt get there same windows Renewal has access to even though they are made by Anderson.Mom had an old garden window to be removed and replaced. I had said I wanted the same windows the rest of the house had. Didnt know until installation day that it wasnt the same, easier to clean and better locking mechanism the other windows have. Then installation guy was 4 hours late. They never called to let us know. I called multiple times trying to figure out where their employee was. In the end I was told they couldnt locate him and he might be having a health issue. The employee finally showed up 4 hours late, took 1/2 an hour to get started, was on his phone a lot and rushed through the project to leave early(about 4:30). He finished the next day with another worker. The finished product left a mess. They struggled with their cutting tools. Said they were dull. He had also used a box knife. The siding was split, chipped and had gauges from the box knife being run across it. The caulking was put on thick and globby, but missed many places it should have been. The lock for the slider was put on crooked and we struggle to get it to lock. The finishing piece inside there slider was left sticking up too high with a larger gap than it should have. The trim around the slider on the inside wasnt fastened as tight to the wall as it could be leaving me to feel I would have to caulk all the wide gaps. On the outside the trim, for the slider wasnt mitered like the original and all the other windows. The top piece sticks out alot 1/2 further than the sides and was cut short leaning about 1/2 inch seam gaps. Patrick came out to fix and tidy things up, but mostly recaulked and patched the split siding with caulk. The inside of the slider was left finished improperly. The project manager came out for a final visit and caulked around the rim to fill in all the gaps. Plus he redid the finishing piece on the floor which is perfect. Caulking the gaps saved me some work. I immediately worked on staining and painting the finishing piece and inside trim. The project was finished when it was too wet and cold to paint outside. I finally repainted the siding and painted the trim outside. I discovered splintered pieces on the trim where they cut it which also had left unprimed edges. It looks better now that its painted, but the exterior trim around the slider should have been redone. Also, the siding should not have been damaged so much. They were all very courteous, but I wouldnt hire them again due to the overall experience. The first employee just didnt have the experience and skills or proper or sharp enough tools. If they are running super late they should call the customer. An hour is one thing, but 4 is another. He showed up 2 hours late the second day, but stayed until dark.The lock on the slider worked great to start with, but being crooked it soon became hard to lock. We have to latch it with the door loose and then finish pushing it closed. The kitchen window was a down grade and has some sharp edges plus a cheaper less secure locking mechanism and isnt as easy to clean the track. Wish I had seen the actual window before it was ordered. Also, the glass is supposed to be the same, but the slider lets more heat in than the other windows. Still better than the old aluminum windows.Price was good and they were courteous, but usual workmanship was poor. Our project was finalized by Nov due to 2 call backs.

This company is wonderful! Excellent, responsive customer service and excellent work. We recently had the glass replaced in a slider door and large window. The gentleman who did the work was exceptional - great worker and attention to detail. My husband said he even spent time trying to get our back slider door to lock (which it never has, and we never lock as its on an upper level balcony) and when he couldnt get it to work, he cut a piece of wood for us to use to block the door from opening! Above and beyond. He cleaned the new windows and left everything in pristine condition. We are very happy. We will definitely call on Sound View again should we need further window replacement.

This was my first experience with this company and we could not be happier with our experience. They are responsive, professional, and masters at their craft. We had them replace two broken windows on a 120 year old historic building. This job required them to be extremely careful and they exceeded our expectations.

We wanted to install new closet doors in two of our rooms and while we initially wanted to do it ourselves, the non-standard size of the closets made us decide it would just be easiest to have them installed. We contacted several companies and eventually settled on Sound View Window & Door. I appreciated how responsive they were to us right away. They quickly responded to our inquiry and confirmed details. They made it incredibly easy for us. On the day of our installation, they arrived, were incredibly polite and friendly and finished the job quickly. They even helped us install a small amount of trim to an uneven door (an existing fault) to make it appear more even. I highly recommend them!

Sound View installed custom windows and French doors and we are very happy with the quality of the workmanship and windows. Due to the Covid crisis, we had to postpone install at the last minute. SV was very understanding and sensitive to our hesitation to have people on our property. We had a great experience working with Sound View Windows and Doors. The salesperson (Steve) was straightforward, knowledgeable and not pushy at all. The scheduler/measurers (Don and Bob) were responsive and easy to communicate with. It was a pleasure working with the installers (Patrick and Karl). They were very professional and meticulous. The lead was able to explain how the project was going in detail often during the install and checked in often. It was nice to feel that the windows were installed carefully, paying attention to the weatherization and insulation. The only thing that could have been done better was estimating the time to install from the deposit date (it took an extra 2 weeks).

Weve had Sound View three times at our house, installing the Milgard Ultra fiberglass windows. Each of the three times (three separate projects) they were very professional, prompt, and very good about keeping the work area clean. Very pleased with Sound View, and would work with them again.

We scheduled an appointment for an in-home estimate which we saw him (Steve S) put into their calendar. After waiting 15 minutes past the scheduled appointment time I called and was informed they forgot to put it in their calendar but he (Steve S) did come by within 10 minutes of my call. After the visit I was told I would receive the estimate by email. When I hadnt received any email after 48 hours I sent an email inquiring about the estimate. When I didnt receive a reply to my email after another 24 hours I called the store when I was informed that the individual who had visited was on vacation. With such poor customer service I informed them that we would take our business elsewhere.

From the estimator to the installer, Sound View did not disappoint. Very competitive prices, great quality, and true to their word. every step along the way.

SUPER UNHELPFUL.I called to ask some questions and have someone do a quote and the guy on the phone was rude and basically said he didn’t want my business. He also didn’t understand what the word ‘integrity’ of the door meant. So much for customer service.

We are very happy with ur windows from Sound View. We had 4 large windows replaced on the second floor of our house. We choose the Fibrex windows from Anderson. Everyone from the sales guy to the installers were very helpful and did an excellent job.
