One of the many ¥100 shops (a dollar store equivalent) native to Japan. Ironically everything in this store is almost double the price of what youd get it for at a Daiso in Japan. Most things are around $1.50 or more. That being said, the quality of the goods in this store are far higher than you would find in a Dollar General or Dollar Tree. A much wider selection than you might expect.
Lots of small selection of items that you can find here such as arts and crafts, kitchenware and cookware, snacks etc.. There is a small price converter throughout the store in case you are confused how much the items are worth. Most things are fairly priced. If you are walking in the area, it doesn’t hurt to stop by for a few minutes !
A good Daiso that has its largest section with home goods, where some focus on snacks or even the art supplies.Their selection changes pretty regularly, for a Daiso. If you see something youre not sure about buying but would be sad to miss out on, pick it up.
This is basically a Japanese dollar store...well, dollar fifty store to be exact! They have things ranging from cups and plates and kitchen utensils to dolls and stationary and pens. This was my go-to spot to buy Hi-Chew candy before the American retailers had it. Youll definitely find something you need for $1.50!
Basically the Chinese/Japanese equivalent of the American Dollar- Store. Only Daiso has a base price of$1.50. Better quality goods cost a little more. Not much though. Very good prices. I shop there often.
It’s okay if you need a quick item or 2. Quality is what you can expect for paying $1.50. Was able to use cash or card and when I looked around the store was well stocked. Cashier was friendly. No a/c and it was a hot day. Hope the employees are okay!
I love this place!! The prices are reasonable...since their items are mostly imported from Japan. The staff are always nice. Will definitely go back.
Great place for stationary, organizing, and small gifts. So cute! Always a nice selection of Disney, Hello Kitty/Sanrio, and Japanese folk craft design.
A nice clean market. Im definitely going back.
Daiso is a gem. Its sort of like a dollar store, but with really cheap Japanese products! They also have other products that are more expensive.
Great variety of imported goods, cookware, storage solutions, art supplies, to name a few. PLEASE NOTE: Their reciepts say no returns, exchanges and speaking with them, they enforce this unless products are defective. Also some of their dishware has heavy metals in it so should only be used for decorative purposes. These are labeled and I feel the quality on the rest of their products is great.
Excellent place for Japanese trinkets of all kinds, school supplies, kitchen, bathroom..... we always stop here.
This place has a little bit of everything! The staff are very friendly, too. The store is clean and it would be tough to navigate in a wheelchair, but it could be done. Great housewares and gifts at affordable prices. The parking is also confusing due to some construction and I didnt see any accessible parking spots, but theres a bus station nearby.
Average customer service, they dont value their customers, their customer service need a lot of improvement. China town store have the worst customer service, also they dont allow parking in their lot for their customers while shopping in store.Their inventory is not re stocked, and refilled. High prices for very cheap quality products
During the current Dec 2020 pandemic lockdown they only allow 8 people in the store at a time.Cards and cash accepted. If youve never been, Daiso is like a $1.50 store stocked with items from Asian countries (mostly China and Japan). They do have some items priced higher, but they are tagged as such. If theres no tag its $1.50.Very eclectic product offering that varies on the season and their supplies. Most items are cheaply made, but what do you expect for $1.50?!? Ive always found items to be functional though. You can get kitchen and home items (dishes, cutting mats, laundry bags, sponges, hampers, etc), storage options (plastic baskets and lidded boxes), gift bags, cards, wrapping paper, small toys/gifts, and make-up related stuff (fake eyelashes, eyeshadow, makeup brushes). When I was in my twenties I would get a lot of kitchen/household items here. I still go for laundry bags (to put in the wash), gift bags, and the occasional small gift items (washi tape, fun shaped erasers, etc).Great place to bring a kid or teen where they can get a big haul of fun items for $10.I always end up getting snack food here too. They have doriyaki and other snacks.
For the price its amazing. Things however tend to rotate often so sometimes they wont have the same thing there .
Ahh, the Daiso. For anyone who has no idea what a Daiso is, you can walk inside and still never know. Think of it like... a general store, of sorts. You never really know what Daiso is going to liscence or get their hands on, so every trip is full of different items. Cherry blossom ceramic dining plates one visit, and Winnie the Pooh garden ornaments the next.. Dont make the mistake of thinking youll come back for something, it most likely wont be there. They make some truly quality stuff, Ive always been very happy with the dining implements, kitchen gadgets, bathroom amenities, and stationary I find there.
Small selection compared to other DAISO stores in the area. Some of the employees there are rude with poor customer service skills. They charge 0.20 for a small bag during pandemic and the true actual prices are not marked on the items. Also, NO parking! U must pay on side street to park or park blocks away to get to the store. Not worth the hassle. Id recommend going to the one near Roosevelt Street a little north from this one!
I 💘 REALLY LOVED THIS PLACE IT IS AMAZING THANK YOU AND HAVE A WONDERFUL MEMORIAL DAY TODAY GOD BLESS YOUS ALL AMEN
A store that sells cheap Japanese and Chinese stuff, like a dollar store but costs a little bit more.
I love this place! Theyre always really nice to me. Everything here is affordable.
Great selection. Clean store and polite staff.
Cute shop with a bunch of inexpensive home goods and snacks
They dont take apple pay... some places in this area are cash only, so thats understandable. But especially since other places in Seattle dont take cash at all because of Covid, most people dont carry cash nowadays, so thats really inconvenient. The main problem is that I have come in and multiple times the card reader has been broken. So when I do bring my card I cant even use it. Im not going to stop by the ATM or bank to shop here... I love this store and I understand there can be technical difficulties but I live far and its disappointing to walk in and not be able to purchase anything the few times I get to visit.
Nice dollar store straight from Japan. Good deals on neat steals !
Super busy - first days of opening AND Daiso Westlake is gone. Found what I needed, but very busy and not so much social distancing.
Cool little store that has low cost items. Lots of cool candy to choose from.
Cutwnlittlw japaneassmstoe that sels all kind of goodies.
Dog they have like stereo earbuds for $1.50 thats pretty sick and you would think they sound like my shower curtains but they sound pretty good on my phone
Love, love 💕 this store.
So much fun! Go check it out
Its basically a japanese dollar store, but in Japan, they are called 100 yen stores, and that usually equals about a buck and a half, so most everything is a buck and a half.If you live in a small place, youre going to go to Diaso a lot. Its pretty much everything you need to survive, but smaller. Think department store inside the TARDIS, except the TARDIS isnt all that much bigger on the inside. Any metaphor taken too far, inevitably breaks down. Many people just go for the candy.
You think of it they probably have it or like a mini version of it
Not the best daiso location, lacking selection and store was dimly lit
So many cool things!
Since the Daiso in Westlake closed, this has been my go to. Cute selection. Only 4 star because they currently dont take cards; I would have spent more if they did. Id hit the ATM across the street except last time i tried, a crazy person chased me, so no.Yay Daiso
Small and warm place with various products. It limits the traffic in the pandemic so there might be a short line
Parkings a little tough
Everything you need but cant findAnyplace else. The mystery place ofJAPAN/CHINATOWN SEATTLE
A very nice place to shop
Lots of stuff for a 1.50 well organized
They have a sign on the door that says cash only. So i would have gone in but i didnt have cash and i dont know the area for an atm so they lost out on my busness
Prices are fair and have many cute things
Fun place to shop. Everything thing is affordable
What a great place to buy snacks, kitchen products, paper products, art products, and athletic supplies. I hope the staff are getting a decent wage.
The items are okay, just the price are annoying its not the same as it was in korea and with better variety
Its small but have lots things
Cute little Japanese dollar store! The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because Ive been to the one in Federal Way, WA and that one has a lot more variety.
Line for CoVid on the weekend. Always the little things I need.
Lovely and awesome, as usual :)
Not as big a store with as wide a selection as the Daisos Im used to in California, but here everything is stocked well, customer service is good, and covid protocols are being followed. I always leave with 2x the amount of things I came for XD, not sure if good or not haha.
I grew up in Southern California, where Daiso kicked off its US venture. Ive always loved shopping there. I moved to the Midwest several years ago, so coming across this Daiso during my Seattle vacation was exciting! This Daiso is a bit smaller than the ones Im used to, but it is still pretty awesome! The variety of items is great, the staff are few, but nice. Prices on some of the items over $1.50 are a bit astronomical, but most of the $1.50 items are worth every penny. Be cautious of this though: if youre buying an item in packaging & cannot clearly tell if the item is still in the package, ask a staff member to open the box/package for you BEFORE you purchase. I bought a small glass item, assuming the box had what it said it had, just to find that is was empty when I got back to my hotel. Luckily, Daiso staff were really understanding about it and let me get the item I bought when I returned to the store with the empty box and my receipt.
I love this store. I find incredibly random, inexpensive, useful things here. Its the kind of place you just stumble over something you might not have thought you needed (and need might be a strong word here) but you were happy you found it. And its easy to find little gifts for people here, if youre into that kind of stocking stuffer, thinking of you, type of little gift!
This store has a lot of cool, random household items, most for $1.50. Its great when you need a cheap version of some particular product or tool. The chain deserves 5 stars, but this particular location is below par. The customer service is non-existent. And for some reason, the employees there love to work in 100 degree temps. I can only shop there for 10 minutes at a time.
They didnt have what I was looking for, but still a very charming little store. Will return.
Even though this location is small it still has a very good selection of items. However be warned if it’s busy you will certainly not be 6 feet from anyone.
The food is excellent.
Wide selection of household items, a majority of which are available for only $1.50. Various items at slightly higher price also available, but vast majority are just $1.50. Think of this as the Japanese Dollar Tree with a lot of stuff not available elsewhere (much of it of an overall higher quality than what you generally find at typical U.S. dollar stores.) Great China, dishes & cookware selection at reasonable prices.
Love this place lots of cute items
Lots of unique and useful items for cheap!Be warned, the store doesnt limit customers or enforce masks. Very crowded in a smaller store.03/8/20
They have reinforced glass that fits my phone like a glove, not an easy feat since I dont have a leading model
How cool is this place? Lots of unique goods from Japan at good prices and superb service. We had way too much fun finding cool gifts and toys for friends.
This is a cool little store to find all sorts of little Trinkets and doodads and such but overall this is not a store that I would go to if I wasnt looking for something specific that I couldnt find anywhere else but the store that is the thing that makes it very cool and has a selection that you definitely wouldnt find at any other store the help was okay but at times I felt like they were more watching me to make sure I wasnt you know like stealing all their $2 merchandise versus actually trying to help me but thats part of how it goes I guess and you know it really makes a person feels very uncomfortable when theyre just trying to do some shopping and they have no intentions of doing anything with malice or discontent I know loss prevention cant always discern peoples actions but they should be able to observe behaviors and get some idea and indicators if they are a common shoplift. Other than that check out the store
This isnt your run of the mill $1.50 store, they have quality items along with cheap stuff. Like dishes.. classy square, white plates and bowls for $3 and under, (they have plastic silverware and disposable dishes as well), fairly good chef knives, all kinds of things for kitchens, bedroom or office organization, school and art supplies, make-up, hats/gloves/socks/ holiday decorations, gifts, etc. I save a ton of money all year here, but especially at Christmas when I need stocking stuffers and mugs to fill with treats for adults I dont know well enough to get real gifts for. The only area thats disappointing is the toys, but thats to be expected. Its a bit cramped while busy, they dont have parking anymore, but worth the hassle.
Great prices.
I like this place. Its a Japanese Five & Dime. With higher quality stuff. You can find all kinds of stuff here. The inventory changes constantly but you can always find kitchen gadgets and spacial organizers here.
Best one in Seattle
Not the best selection. Either that, or they havent been getting in new shipments as regularly as before.
Good
Great
I love this store! They always have a cool selection of all kinds of household items, school supplies, gifts, toys, and I like getting their face masks sometimes too, a number of which are thankfully cruelty-free. I like to get the little plastic trays, baskets or cloth containers for organizing miscellaneous things and papers at home in my cabinets, on shelves, my desk, and table. I love that most things in the store are just $1.50. Some items are a little more and thats ok because they are usually still so reasonably priced.
This Daiso has a nice selection of home goods, such as kitchenware, cleaning supplies, and dishes. However their stationery selection is more limited than the downtown location; in general I feel that the ID store is stocked less often. Daiso is a great option for seasonal merchandise, as they always have something for every holiday and you dont feel bad about donating/discarding it later because it was only a couple dollars!
The employees here are prejudice! I was asked for my Bartells shopping bag after already being in the store for a few minutes! But when I looked around the store and saw other customers with their bags OF COURSE I asked why I had to bring mine to the front! Employee never gave me a straight answer, so I left. I DO have money, an ATM card & cash & if I have 3% battery I would have video taped it!
After studying abroad in Japan, nothing comes close to the real Japanese ¥100 shop, though this is a great step above the average dollar store. Everything from stationery, home goods, crafting & food is available for $2.50+I do have to note that Richmond, Canada (2. 5-3 hrs away) has the real deal, with nicer decor & 2-stories of goodies, though items are also not for $1 like the real shops in Japan.
This location was very tiny compared to others I have ever been. Many items were not found here. I am not sure if they were not sold here or it was just because of the bad display.Besides that, parking here was not very easy even though they have several spots in front of their store. Sometimes they would block these parking spots right in front of them for some unknown reason.
Cute little fun store where most items are 1.50 usd for kitchen, cleaning, restroom essentials and general home comfort stuff. Very good value in general. Cooking pan and paring knife work great! Thank you for being in business.
Crowded, cheap and fun. Everything youre looking for in your consumer shopping experience. Also the quality may seem suspect, but if you stop and consider how many things youve bought for loads more that pretty much matched the cheap stuff for longevity, well, just think of your poor bank account rocking back and anxious forth. Youre welcome.
Great selection. Very kind staff
A great dollar type store. The products are helpful usable and 1.50$ (unless specifically marked)
Though small, this is a fun store across the street from Uwajimaya grocery. You will find things here that you wont elsewhere, merchandise available in Japan. The concept is that everything (unless marked otherwise) costs $1.50. Most recently I bought an organizer box for use to hold my car cleaning products. We buy hangers for our sweaters. These hangers are wrapped thickly so that the sweaters dont get points in the shoulders. We also buy garment covers for jackets that will spend a long time without use. The covers keep the dust off. There is a nice selection of ceramic mugs and bowls and a limited selection of urban garden gear. We go here a lot just for the fun of browsing.I have not interacted much with the staff. they are mostly young persons and mostly work at the registers. No complaints! They seem nice enough and they are quick.
This is a fun store. I especially love the journals. Things I have bought over the years at Daiso, grass mats, kid chopsticks, sink mesh strainer, steel food containers, hand exercisers, snacks, canned coffee, bag to put ice in, cheap eye shadow just for fun, calendar, hair clips, a giant mug and garden stakes.
Japanese own Dollar Store. Most things cost a dollar fifty but some a little more. All imported from Japan. A lot of cool trinkets that you could give for gifts along with housewares and other novelties.
Love the place. So many good buys, for unbeatable price and the stuff from there is way better quality than from a traditional dollar store. I love all the pretty asain women that work there too. Always nice always happy to be there for you. Love the place.
The best dollar store ever. Theyve got just about everything you could need for your household or office, and itll likely be adorable and original to boot! Besides, you cant beat pretty good quality items for $1.50 that you would otherwise spend at least a few bucks or more for.
Great little spot. Great deals.
If you have never been to Daiso, this place is like heaven. I love it here, and even though its small, I can spend ages here. The items are all handy and quirky and actually not terrible quality, depending on what you get. Cute arts and crafts items like felting projects.
This is Japanese version of the dollar store. The layout is a little tight, but the selections are pretty good, it’s like a small and cheaper versions of bed bath and beyond.
Usually stocked with what I intend to purchase. Generally easy to navigate and check out.
The Japanese take on the dollar store concept, except much more fun! I cant take my whole wallet with me or Id break my budget! If youre living in a studio or small space, this is your store. No one designs better for living small than the Japanese... beautiful items for everyday and special use, and the best gifts. Im in here every week!
I like Daiso. Its a Japanese dollar (fifty) store. The stuff is pretty high quality for the price. Ive bought scissors, a nutcracker, and random odds and ends here. The place is clean too.Take a look if you have time!
Love love love. Defo. be back regularly
Great place to get inexpensive household odds and ends and Japanese specific merchandise. Most things are $1.50, but all sales are final. Very cute office supplies and kitchen/dining items. Plus they have tons of Pocket variety.
