The whole process took between 2-3 months. I originally thought I would be taking several iterations before coming to a design that I loved but Chelsea was great, professional and responsive (super quick responsive) and I really love the final product. I would definitely come back for additional jewelry wants/needs. This is definitely a piece I feel confident wearing for the rest of my life as well as a great piece to pass onto loved ones.

My wife and I had the most wonderful experience with Ben. He took what were just fanciful ideas floating around in our heads and transposed them into works of art that Im not sure we would have been able to achieve with anyone else.Ben kept us appraised of every step of the process, and working with him through their collaborative design platform let us stay in touch between meetings, with all of our drawings and design documents there to review. Chelsea with green lakes was amazing and very efficient to work with. I researched and talked with about 30+ different local and online jewelers to bring my wedding band idea to life. Multiple companies stated they could do it. However, they ended up giving me the run around or a bait and switch sales pitch. It was becoming very frustrating to hear time and time again we can design this for you only to be later told they couldn’t. It was a breath of fresh air to find green lakes. Green lakes was the only company that had the artisanal craftsmanship to take the ball and run with it. I arrived at Green Lake Jewelry Works expecting to browse their merchandise, and leave with a few ideas for an engagement ring to present to my spouse. I was promptly greeted by Erich, who was extremely friendly and helped educate me about the option of having a ring custom made. He was very polite throughout the whole process. He actively listened to all the ideas that we had while sharing a few suggestions of his own, and together we sketched up a few designs for a finished product. I wasnt initially expecting to put a deposit down on a ring that day, but by the end of our conversations I truly felt that I could trust Erich...not to mention the fact that the quality of their work was impressive. We emailed back and forth for a few weeks as Erich shared with me the 3D CAD and wax models, which we made a couple adjustments to along the way to better fit my needs. I highly recommend Green Lake! I started my journey by browsing past designs and found one I loved from the start! Then I was able to communicate with my designer and she helped me browse and find the perfect gemstone. I was able to view pictures of what different designs would look like when finished. He kept me informed of the progress and steps all along the way, making sure he never proceeded to the next step without getting my approval first. I found this place by Google search and was thrilled to find that they were very professional and helped me with an innovative and creative way to solve a missing earring within a set situation. Rather than donate or sell a single earring, I was able to get it incorporated into an existing necklace and it turned out beautifully. The price was reasonable and they turned the job around in a week.I also had them create a stunning custom piece from my mothers engagement/wedding ring. I didnt want to wear the ring as it was so they built a gorgeous setting for the stone and it is truly breathtaking. From initial contact, consult appointment, wax mold review to final product, Vinh was always there to communicate progress and answer any questions. It took a few weeks, but the end result was well worth it.Theyre also very good with Covid precautions! Highly recommend!

They have done beautiful repair work on two items Ive taken in. They take the time to understand what I need and take great care in their work. Also the jewelry they have in display is unique and gorgeous!

Green Lake Jewelry Works is AMAZING! I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. My now fiance and I went to them in September of 2019 to just start looking at rings and thinking about custom ideas. I told my fiance I didnt want to know what the ring looked like, but had an idea. Rebecca had me email her some inspiration pictures, and from that point on, my fiance and her really came up with such a beautiful design. I have my dream engagement ring now (he proposed on Christmas) and the best part about Green Lake Jewelry Works is that they photograph the ENTIRE process of making the ring, from the first sketch, to the wax mold, to them placing stones in the setting. Theyre so nice, they really pay attention to detail, and I am SOOOO excited to see what they come up with for my wedding band, and I cant wait to work with Rebecca to make my fiances wedding band! Definitely go check them out, you wont regret it!

My experience with Green Lake Jewelry Works came about purely by accident. As I was mourning the loss of a treasured ring and surfing the internet for jewelry designers, I came across the GLJW website. I clicked on it just for fun - and my adventure began.I was immediately paired up with Ben Marchant who very politely said he would try to help me recreate my lost ring - no pressure. Not having any photos, I took a piece of plant support wire and bent it into the rough shape of the setting, took a picture, and sent it to him. It was just a simple gold loop with a diamond in the center. We found out that it actually turned out to be quite tricky.Bens patience was monumental as I tried to describe what only I could see in my mind. Through many conversations via My Design Page (I am in Minnesota) we were able to come up with a workable plan. Ben has an uncanny sense to ask the right questions and illustrate with drawings what he was hearing my try to say.The final result is a ring that is even more beautiful than the one I lost. Ben even added (at my request) a small subtle touch to signify all of our hard work. Ever polite, professional and encouraging Ben makes the customer feel valued and at ease. In my estimation, he is a treasure!Green Lake Jewelry Works is tops in every category.

This was my first visit to Green Lake Jewelry Works. I brought in two small diamond stacking bands to be sized down and they turned out perfectly. Couldnt be happier. They take great pains to be Covid safe, and I felt very comfortable. I was also really impressed with the array of different ring designs in their cases, different, original, and really unique. If youre looking for classic, theyve got that too. I would be very comfortable having then design a ring for me, which I just might do!

Green Lake Jewelry was awesome to work with specifically Erich our designer. The entire process of creating our custom rings went smoothly and we couldnt be more happy with how it turned out. I was nervous about going through this process with a company that is in another state but the communication and attention to detail of what we wanted was outstanding! Strongly recommend this company and Erich for any custom jewelry needs!

We had an absolutely amazing experience with Green Lake Jewelry 10/10 with out a doubt. After going to a couple other jewelers to look for an diamond engagement ring, they all had a feeling of chatting with soft talking car salesmen trying to convince us what was customary and why features we didnt like we actually should. When we got to Green Lake in Northgate and sat down with Vin, immediately everything was different. We looked at hosts of different designs and pulled together all the little pieces we loved into one ring, never sold a penny above what we were comfortable with. The process is as much about education as the design of the ring, and we learned so much and had a great time. The experience was amazing so obviously we came back for my band and landed on this awesome Mokume etched design, and it turned out better than imagined. Cant recommend this place (and Vin) enough, amazing service, attention to detail and superb craftsmanship. Thank you so much!!

Although my ring was a customized version of one that was in-store - and not a fully custom design - I felt confident that I would have been taken care of had I gone that route.

Green Lake Jewelry Works and specifically Ben Marchant have by far given the best customer service experience I have ever had, and I have an absolutely beautiful ring to show for it. I came into Green Lake Jewelry works with the hopes I could l participate in creating a one of a kind special engagement ring for my girlfriend. I didnt know anything about jewelry or stones, all I had was an idea of what I wanted the end product to be. We were blessed to serendipitously meet Ben when I walked in the first time. We didnt have an appointment but were given time and attention, we were put at ease and felt completely comfortable. After that initial meeting I knew I wanted to have her ring made there so I made an appointment with Ben, best decision I could have made. Ben explained everything to me; terminology, budget, quality, styles, and the whole ring making process. I was looking for a very particular color of Sapphire and Ben brought in multiple stones until he showed me the perfect one. He listened to me and guided me through the process while also offering incredibly valuable professional recommendations. The cool thing about GLJW is that there are real artists that work there and it shows in their dedication to their craft.

Chelsea was very responsive and informative and involved me in every step of the process despite being entirely remote. I had a great experience and am very glad to have chosen Geen Lake Jewelry! They have a great system setup where you can see all messages and design updates on one web page; this was critical with meeting a less than (4) week turnaround time from my initial visit to picking up the ring - in the middle of the holidays! I primarily worked with Ellen, but i would receive updates from other team members when she was not available; they communicated in a way that kept a timely flow of information so no day would be wasted - all this was essential to meeting the deadline of NYE. The ring itself, as described by my now fiancee, was PERFECT! and it was to me when i picked it up. There were a couple of changes after the first initial CAD design, but again the turnaround time was very quick. Great experience all around!!
