Joe’s daughter ordered his birthday cake from Arlington Virginia it was delivered within the time allowed. It look like a small cake perhaps 7 inches across but it was quite tall. It easily served six of us with half a cake left over. It was a white cake with coconut flavoring and coconut shavings in the frosting. It was absolutely delicious and we will order our next cake from the Sweetside.

The best baked goods in Seattle, especially cakes. However, then closing at noon on Saturday’s really doesn’t make sense. Saturday is a prime day to prepare for (last minute) the weekend’s celebrations. With so many midday-evening events on Saturday’s and work Monday-Friday it basically means we’ll never get the chance for Sweetside. Sad, but hopefully they change soon so we can get Seattle’s best cakes.

I ordered 2 cakes online for my daughters wedding. Online ordering was simple and clear. Everything went off without a hitch. The order was ready on time for pick-up. The two cakes were delicious and got raves from the wedding guests. Thank you so much!!

We hired the Sweetside to set up our mini desserts station for our reception and it was AMAZING! All the guests (including myself) raved about the desserts and loved each one of them. My personal favorite were the cake pops...soooo good. Mindy and her team even accommodated my request t keep everything an all white theme, which made the table look EXTRA special. Highly recommend and would definitely purchase their treats again! xoxo

Cant say enough good things about The Sweet Side. Kara and her team are absolute pros. They are always so easy to work with and their cakes are consistently beautiful and tasty! Its an absolute talent of theirs to innovate with their designs taking them to a beautiful new level. Oh, and DO NOT MISS their chocolate pretzel sticks. Epic.

The SweetSide is an exceptional Bakeshop. Their signature cakes are delicious and their custom cakes are creative and high quality. I worked with The Sweetside for 3 different cakes for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary and they nailed it. My parents loved the two signature cakes and especially enjoyed the custom cake featuring some 3D cake craftsmanship.On top of the excellent cakes both in terms of taste and design, The SweetSide takes customer service to the next level. Love this place! Everything is so flavorful and the people so knowledgeable and friendly. Gift cards from there given as gifts have always gone over great. My go to favorite is the 9lb Porter. The chocolate is rich and robust with an aftertaste that lingers delightfully on the tastebuds.

I placed an order from out of state for delivery of a birthday cake to my sister who lives in Seattle. The cake was beautiful and looked delicious from the pictures my sister sent me. Communication with the bakery was excellent and I would highly recommend using their services in the future!

I was looking for a cake to get for my friends bday. Despite the price, I think it was completely worth it. The site was easy to use, the people at the store were so friendly, and as for the cake, it was the most beautiful and delicious cake I’ve ever had. 10/10 would recommend if you are looking in the Seattle area for a custom cake. They cater to so many events and have so many designs. I’m now ready for my bday because I’m definitely ordering here :)

Cute little shop. We tried a variety of treats. Sugar cookie, sugar cookie with frosting, French macarons, and raspberry pie bar. They make large cakes that look delicious.

At this bakeshop, I really love to buy bread. It has always been hot, and it tastes really good as well. Great for coffee-paired breakfasts. Many would know this.

It tastes really good. I think they were the most affordable cafeteria in this town. I will surely visit and dine in this cafeteria again.

The cake I got for my friend’s baby shower was fantastic! It was exactly what I discussed with the salesman and tasted delicious.

Until I tried the cake from here for my sons first birthday, Not being much of a sweets eater, I always thought cakes pretty much tasted the same same everywhere. That was until I tried the cake from The SweetSide.I dont know to describe it, but I can definitely say its a lot better than any other cake Ive ever had.

I worked with The sweet side, for my daughters 6th birthday cake. My cake looked beautiful, however the cake was very tasteless, too much simple syrup was used to moisten the cake up, which gave it this grainy cake texture (almost soggy). As well as the “frosting” used, to frost the cake had entirely too much shortening and my guests could taste the sugar flavored shortening used as frosting. Lastly, I am confused as to, why the filling was just frosting “flavored” with my filling of choice, and not the actual, Nutella and raspberry filling. We could barley taste the Nutella in the frosting. The raspberry, FLAVORED frosting was really tasteless as well. The cake was inedible, resulting in us having to toss a two tiered cake. I am super disappointed.

I am always willing to drive to have to slice of their delicious cakes. The inside of their shop pre-COVID is absolutely beautiful too. They’re also very diligent about following COVID safety measures, which I love!

Happy 10th anniversary to The SweetSide! They have pivoted their business and besides beautiful cakes are now baking yummy pastries and serving espresso. They even have soy milk. I believe their hours are 8am to 3 pm Wednesdays through Sundays.

This review is for The Sweet Sides macarons...We first met The Sweet Side during the I Do Sodo wedding show in Seattle, where they were serving their delicious macarons. We had originally just planned to do a cake and cake bites (also highly recommend - see our BAKED Seattle review), but decided to add in another dessert after tasting those delicious treats.The Sweet Side was extremely easy to work with and the nutella macarons were a HUGE hit. The gold accent matched our decor perfectly, too! The SweetSide definitely exceeded my expectations! I know places usually want at least a month to create a custom cake that would need to serve 30-40 people AND be completed in just a couple weeks. So when I emailed a few bakerys to see if they could do this, I was thrilled to receive a prompt email back from SweetSide letting me know they could! This was for my mother-in-law’s 80th birthday so it was very important to us that the cake be amazing. I threw out some thoughts of what I wanted and they promptly came back with a drawing of what we might be looking for. I had a bunch of little changes (short notice and wanting lots of details to the cake....I was shocked they were still willing to make it!). The next design they sent over was absolutely perfect! I was nervous to have to drive with the cake but they delivered, which in itself saved me a lot of stress.Fast forward to the party and every single person asked where we got it. They were amazed at how awesome it looked and so was I. My mother-in-law didnt want us to cut it, it looked so beautiful. But we are all glad we did because it tasted delicious!Thank you so much SweetSide, we couldnt have asked for a better experience getting a custom cake for our loved one!

We ordered our three-tier wedding cake from The SweetSide and were blown away with how amazing it was! This was the best cake I had ever had and was lucky enough to have it for our wedding. Having a taste test of options before selecting the final product was a very nice touch as well.

From the second I walked through the door, the SWEETSIDE staff worked with me to create exactly what I wanted for our wedding. It was a piece of art. The design was exquisite with beautiful details from the compass rose to the sculpted sugar flowers, and to top it off the cake tiers ( almond & lemon) were delicious. Every single bakery item looked soooo good. I ordered 2 of everything! The best part?? It all tasted even better than it looked! I will definitely go back for more. The owner has high standards for her baked goods, to top it off she was sweet and very accomodating.

Best Star Wars custom cake for kiddo’s 9th birthday! All with extremely short notice. It was sooo good.

Ordered a custom birthday cake a little while back. It was very good and very beautiful I would certainly recommend this shop for any cake work. The highlight however is picking up your baked goods. It was like a diabetic heaven walking into their shop. If they could make the smell of their shop into a candle or some scented toiletry I would be a very happy camper.

The SweetSide is my go to for cakes for any occasion! I have ordered a number of fabulous, stylish birthday cakes (for kids and adults) as well as cakes for holidays and other parties. From a 7 tier wedding cake to an adorable camping theme birthday cake, they can do it! And they taste AMAZING. My favs are German Chocolate and Carrot cake.

Letdown..... I so wanted to love this place. I follow them on Instagram and absolutely love their work! However, I reached out to them about getting just a small cake cut cake for my wedding and the customer service couldnt have been worse. Very dismissive. I was really disappointed. I guess a small cake for a wedding just isnt a big enough job for them. Bummer. I do think they do beautiful work and obviously a lot of people like them so I will give them credit for that but they will not be receiving my business.UPDATE: The SweetSide did follow up based on my review and apologized and reached out offering to work with me regarding a cake. At that point I had already placed an order through someone else for a cake. I appreciated the follow up.

While visiting Seattle, I stumbled on The Sweet Side - the team of people were beyond helpful and the treats are DELICIOUS! I only wished I lived closer!! Definitely a must-have when I am visiting!

Our cake was amazing. My daughter loved it and so did everyone else.

We purchased a cake from here Sat may 13th, first seeing the cake it was beautiful and were extremely happy they still had a cake available for sale. We literally bought the last one. But Im not sure if it was old or just had been frozen for too long but this cake was very dry and tasteless. So disappointing and dissatisfied especially for what we paid for the cake. We also bought macaroons and they were definitely not fresh. Overall we were very unimpressed and bummed. The only positive is the young lady at the counter was super nice.

This adorable little bakery tucked away on 45th in Seattles Wallingford neighborhood has true artists working for them. I ordered a special birthday cake and the design was impeccable. The flavors were rich but not overpowering. And when I experienced a slight mix up, they made it right which speaks very highly of their commitment to excellent customer service and their desire to leave a good taste in your mouth (pun intended). I will definitely return to this establishment in the near future. And by the way, I am totally one of those hard to please people, so this shiznit is genuine. They really moved this cranky, old mountain.

Kara is one talented baker! Im a wedding photographer and so Ive seen numerous cakes from The Sweetside, and I have to say, they always look and taste amazing.Being a wedding photographer, Im at a wedding every weekend, and so I usually pass on the cake when offered at a wedding (cuz a girl has to pay attention to her waistline) but whenever there is a Sweetside cake, I know its going to be amazing.My clients have always raved about their experience with Kara and her team as well. I was married a week or so ago in Seattle and worked with Sweetside for my wedding cake.To be honest, I didnt ever think Id care about my wedding cake. After the tasting, though, I was very excited. I wanted a simple cake with flower accents that matched flowers on my dress. We discussed the design and I sent the Sweetside team a picture of my dress.Floored. Pick my jaw up off the floor. They nailed itThe cake was AMAZING. In every sense of the word. In the picture you can see the cake was beautiful, exactly what I wanted, and matched my dress perfectly. The cake, filling, and buttercream frosting were fantastic -- we received multiple compliments from our wedding guests.I will, without a doubt, be going back to Sweetside to get a cake for our 1 year anniversary -- though, Im not sure I can wait another 350+ days! Thanks Sweetside, I will be back!

Horrible over priced we ordered there so called popular strawberry champagne cake for our daughters 1st birthday it was dry as a Desert, the tag that said happy birthday looked like it was written out with water paint from a 1 year old NEVER AGAIN
