Really cute shaved ice place with huge, aesthetic portions! 👌🍨Today we got the regular sizes for both the mango flavor and black sesame. The mango was fresh, very ripe and sweet, and totally smothered in silky whipped cream - super refreshing for the summertime and not too sweet! The black sesame was very decadent, with the extra sweetness from the gritty, nutty sesame powder and the condensed milk and vanilla ice cream - definitely felt a lot heavier but very flavorful and rich. The unexpected winners of tonight were both the crispy taiyaki (pizza and custard). The crispness level is unreal and so satisfying, especially with the pizza flavor - it felt like what a hot pocket aspires to be. 🍕🔥 So good!

My FAVORITE Bingsuu place in all of Washington. I got half-strawberry and half-mango to share with two others and it was the perfect amount. We barely finished, the portion was pretty good. There was condensed milk underneath the top layer which gave all of the ice a good flavor. Super refreshing treat, Ive come back twice since! Will keep going back!

A little pricey, but we shared an ample Bing Soo, which is a very tasty, shaved ice cream. Its delicious and lighter-less dense- than American ice cream. It was shingled with lovely, ripe strawberries and whipped cream. Also had a waffle with a fish shape full of Nutella. Scrumptious and recommended.

I’m a sweet lover and I make sure I try new dessert place anywhere I go. Found this gem as one of my try-new-dessert-places adventure. I really liked their bingsoo. This was the first time I heard of a bingsoo- it’s kind of like flavored shaved ice. I ordered the cheesecake flavor. It was not too sweet and correct amount of cheesecake bites. I also tried their Nutella flavor taiyaki. It was freshly baked and was perfect treat to for anyone who likes croissants. Place was very neat too. Try this place if you want to have a different experience.

This is as close as it gets to high quality bingsoo in Seattle (for now)! While difficult to eat sometimes (Im looking at the towering toppings and debating how to attack it usually), snowy village has great flavor combinations, milky-ice shavings, and sizing! Dont think ice cold dessert is your thing? No worries! Theres taiyaki so hot it can burn the roof of your mouth (speaking from experience). Overall, snowy village has proved in the past few years that theyre the best shaved ice location in Seattle.BUT be careful! This place is usually packed in the weekend evenings and all the more so during the summer nights. I would plan ahead and prepare to wait or to stake out a little to grab a table when a group leaves!Note that in the times were theres packed nights, sometimes the previous parties wont fully clean up or bus themselves. So be kind and clean up after yourselves, post-consumption!

This was my first time having Korean shaved ice and I thought this place was great. The shaved ice is so creamy and soft, so you wont break any teeth! I liked how the toppings were evenly layered so that youll still have flavor once you get to the bottom. I also really liked the red bean fish-shaped pastry; the Nutella one was way too sweet. They are crispy, doughy, and made fresh to order.I thought that pricing was OK, especially if youre sharing! My two girlfriends and I shared their regular size shaved ice and it was plenty. You can also order half and half flavors, which I wish I wouldve known! My only critique is that the ordering process was confusing, especially since its so busy here. You put your name down on a sign-up sheet, wait outside or in small area near the dirty trays, and wait to be called. Once your name is called, you go up to the front to order, and then find your own seat in the dining area. Other than that, I would come back if Im in the area.

We visited this place based on the rating and it didnt disappoint us. Between two of us we shared a large mango shaved ice. We were happy about the portion and real mango. Service was great and friendly. We waited outside because it was a bit crowded inside but the staff brought the shaved ice outside to us. We feel it would make more sense to have the menu outside of the door before customers enter the store to avoid being crowded by the cashier.Hope to visit again soon and try different shaved ice or other stuff on the menu.

There was a huge screen in the entrance to place your order. Select items, add to cart, enter phone number and pay. You get a message as soon as order is ready(they also call out the order number). Everything was very tasty. Appropriate amount of sweetness in everything. Mango, watermelon Bingsoo are must try. Custard for the Taiyaki. Only this is tables were sticky, not cleaned properly. May be not a big concern in the past but now it’s kind of.. still I would like to go back and try other flavors.

Really tasty Taro shaved ice! My only complaint is that for the price, I wish they added more of the rice cake and almonds under the intial shaved ice layer. I’ll often have to eat the toppings first so they don’t fall off, but then there’s not enough to go with the rest of the shaved ice.

Great on a hot day, and super-refreshing after a spicy meal. This is a hidden gem and a great place to take out-of-towners for a delicious Seattle treat. Kind of a light, fluffy version of ice cream, but ultra-decadent at the same time. If you like ice cream, youll love Snowy Village!

This place has been on my wife’s radar for a while and we just checked it out. It was really good! The place is pretty big, well lit, and clean, for the area, with pay and free street parking nearby, though being U District it might be hard to find parking at times. We went on a very not busy night, but I could imagine this place being very busy on the weekends. We got a strawberry snow and a nutella Taiyaki, it was a great combo for the two of us both in flavor and size. We really enjoyed both of the items. We totally think its a great idea to get a snow and the Taiyaki, great contrast between the cold and warm. The snow had tons of strawberries and whip cream on it. The taiyaki was nicely baked with lots of filling. The snow while being pretty big (we got the regular size) did not make us feel as full as a similar size or even smaller actual ice cream. It felt very light as we were eating, which was nice. Would totally recommend this place for dessert! Price wise its a little pricey, but not terrible for what you get. Service was friendly and reasonably paced. My main recommendation would be serving more napkins with the meal and maybe having more napkins available at the counter or at each table.

The best bingsu in Seattle area. They use condensed milk to make the shaved ice so its creamy. The variety and sizes also make this place, since typical bingsu is one giant size for sharing (which they also have that option). But this means you can order several different flavors in small size and share. They also have a few different taiyaki which I did not try, but they look good. The best bingsu flavor is the taro with ube ice cream on the top. In the photo here it looks blue, but definitely all purple. So delicious! Wow!Nice atmosphere and really helpful staff. Great job.Edit: went again and had another great experience. Would recommend the 인절미 bingsu (classic). Appreciate that you can adjust the sweetness. Strawberries in the strawberry bingsu were pretty tart. Taiyaki dough seemed exactly like puff pastry (had lamination), and the shape was a rectangle. Beware that even the single size is large for one person.

The place is very popular and the desserts are great. However, they need a better system to handle the crowds. The bingsoo was very ehh. We got the chocolate and it said it came with brownies unfortunately no brownies were in ours. We went during December 2020. The restaurant doesnt have dinning in and the barista wore a mask and stayed distance for ordering and pickup. The dessert itself was incredibly delicious. The dessert ice part is made of 100% dairy, milk and cream, so if you have lactose intolerance or milk allergy beware. You can get half and half mango and strawberry flavor, but no other flavor. The restaurant inside was very modern, cozy, and clean. I kinda wish you could see them make the dessert in front of you but no complaining here.

I would give this place 5 stars if that wait time wasn’t so bad. The first time we went to Snowy Villagewe were told the wait for bingsoo would be over an hour so we decided to just try the taiyaki and comeback another time. The taiyaki in my opinion was so-so. There wasn’t much filling and mine tasted slightly of ham even though I ordered the red bean filling. The next time, we arrived as soon as it opened and were second in line, but still waited about 15-20 minutes before our order was ready. We got the cheesecake and mango regular sized bingsoo which were both very good. I appreciate how they added mango bits under the snow so that you’re not just eating the snow after you finish the first layer of mango.I hope this place can figure out a faster way to serve customers so I can give it 5 stars.
