Love it! Delicious ice cream/custard. More like a firmer soft ice and that’s perfect for us. Not so heavy as a regular ice cream and delicious. Super friendly people serving. Will be a regular stop for us!

So glad we have a decent frozen custard place on the Hill... Im tired of the other over-crowded trendy FOMO go-for-the-experience ice cream places around me. Theyre shallow and pretentious... Old School has rotating flavors, a good menu and a great staff. We need to support these types of places more...

Young man behind the counter was nice and really helpful in making a decision. He was very polite and made me appreciate my frozen custard sundae even more so! I got a one scoop sundae that was absolutely amazing, tasted like it was prepared with love. I finished mine before my boyfriend got through his (and that NEVER happens lol)! It was my first time here and I will definitely be back.

Easy location to find. There’s a bike rack right out front. Incredibly friendly staff members. So many tempting choices on the menu; the cashier just watched my face as I pointed and gasped and drooled over every menu item. Went with the Muddy Buddy sundae and I’m so glad I did—it was delicious! Tasted just like muddy buddys with all of the creamy peanut butter and melty chocolate. And I got whipped cream because, well, it’s whipped cream. They also have a rewards program where you buy X-number ice creams and get one free—I will for sure be returning.

Staff was friendly and quick. Many tempting offerings, the turtle sundae was calling me. I got two scoops and plenty to share. Generous servings. Im already dreaming of coming back. Not sure if I had frozen custard before, its similar to ice cream then yogurt. The frozen custard seemed slightly denier and a little more rich than ice cream.

Its really tasty. Unless you check what their flavors are, though, you might be pretty limited on a given day. I assume they do that to focus on a small list of high quality yummy flavors instead of having a huge list to keep stocked at a time. Didnt bother me, but I was with group of folks containing some seriously picky eaters!

This is a very awesome place! Two friends and I went together and had some delicious frozen custard (basically ice cream) and we all loved it. Its pretty cheap too. While were there, the owner offered us some Japanese candy for free, which was pretty cool too. Theres a ton to choose from, and Im pretty sure they offered milk shakes, smoothies, and just regular custard pie. They are open pretty late. I loved the custard, and I highly recommend this!

Old School Frozen Custard is the best! They have a lot of options, so many of which sounded great. Its just hard to make a decision. I ended up getting their cookie blitz sundae, which was excellent. The small is still pretty big, so I imagine you should prepare yourself for a lot of frozen custard if you get the large size.

It was a great treat after a nice meal. We had the Recess sundae in a waffle bowl and it was enough to share. There was not a lack of anything in this sundae. We had the option to pick any flavor for our custard, but we opted to stick with the vanilla. It was a perfect balance. It was nice to have the option to have any flavor, though. We need one of these in Tacoma! Staff was very helpful and friendly. Would recommend.

The ice cream is so smooth and decadent. It reminds me of a frosty. I like that you can chose toppings to add. There is custard in the Pacific Northwest! I grew up in the Midwest where custard is common. I have missed it since moving up here about 5 years ago. They have concretes and they have it as a dish. So many options in flavors and toppings! Thank you for bringing a favorite dessert back into my life!

I didnt know strawberry custard could taste so good, but not all of the flavors are as special. I ordered a double scoop waffle cone, strawberry and chocolate. The slimy, stringy texture of thawing frozen strawberries usually found in strawberry ice-cream isnt my favorite. There arent any chunks in Old Schools version, just rich smooth custard with full strawberry flavor. Its really nice. The same magic wasnt there for for chocolate, the custard just adds a little richness.Their location is great. You can grab a cone, stroll down to Cal Anderson park on a sunny afternoon and just enjoy being outside.

Friendly casual place with great creamy custard Ice creams. Would be five stars but for a few things: they seem to have chocolate, vanilla, and a flavor of the day, and focus on turning them into sundaes, sandwiches, etc. Thats ok, but the few flavors should be perfect in that case. We had vanilla and it could have used a bit more extract. It was rich though, and the texture was PERFECT for the root beer float we selected: soft but not melting. They also offer a choice of root beer which was nice. Id go back, expecting an ice cream concoction, rather than the cone I set out for.

This is my favorite place to get ice cream. I usually stick to the classic flavors, but they typically have at least one special daily flavor, but often more than that. Frozen custard is THE superior frozen treat, and Old School is the superior maker of it. My parents and I used to go to Peaks, but after it closed, we finally found this place and its even better. Their custard is insanely smooth and richly flavorful. All of the sundaes/combos are delicious, as is the custard on its own. And as far as Seattle food prices go, its quite reasonable. (I dont usually rave about things or write food reviews, but I had to show up for Old School. I drive all the way from Sammamish for this stuff!!)

The daily flavors are so unique and tasty! You can conveniently find them on their website. The custard is super good by itself and all the concretes and sundaes and cookie sandwiches are awesome too. So hard to choose what to get and so hard not to go here all the time! They also have a solid rewards program, which gives you a free item (a few options as to what this is, theyre pretty generous in my opinion) every so many orders. And they deliver now too! The lines were long last night as the temperatures crept up close to one hundred yet again, but the wait was worth it. The flavors were unique and complex, with a home-made freshness. I was pleased to find that a single scoop which was plent can include two flavors. The root beer was a surprise hit - really tingly. And the cracked caramel was a nice balance of bitter, salty and sweet. Next time I might just have a kiddie cone - still as big as a single scoop in most of Europe! And with flavors this intensely interesting and tasty, all I might really need.

My husband and I have been coming here for over six years. When it closed before the new owners took over I was heart broken. When I learned it was being purchased by someone new, I was skeptical. It was a happy day when I learned the quality hadn’t changed. The only things that’s changed that I’m sad about is that they no longer offer the Cherry Cheesecake.A little over a year ago we moved down to Tacoma, their product is so great that we make the drive up just to go to Old School. They have the best ice cream I have ever come across. Their base flavors, chocolate and vanilla, are smooth, flavorful, rich, and creamy. I highly recommend if you’re an ice cream lover like us.

When it comes to frozen treats, Im a huge fan of frozen custard. Theres something about adding eggs to food that makes it, sing. Yes, sing. The flavors at Old School arent just run of the mill either. Sure they have chocolate, vanilla and strawberry, but they have apple strudel, orange creamsicle, and chocolate peanut butter cup too. My friend and I shared a small apple strudel which had all the makings of a pastry yet in frozen custard form. It tasted fresh, cinnamon-y, and oh-so-delicious. This was my first time trying out frozen custard. I tried the frozen custard sammie (cookie sandwich) with vanilla custard filling, one chocolate chip cookie and one snickerdoodle cookie. I was going to get a peanut butter cookie instead of snickerdoodle, but they were out of peanut butter. The cookie sandwich was bigger than I expected which was nice, but since the custard melted faster than I expected, it was a little messy to eat. Personally, I wouldn’t get the cookie sandwich again, since I prefer cookie sandwiches with harder ice cream that doesn’t melt as fast. If I go here again next time, I think I’ll just stick with the frozen custard in a cone.
