Amazing little shop with tons of trinkets and do-dads for crafters! Ive taken a few of their classes now and I love it. Theyre a bit pricey at first glance, but you get a lot of individualized attention and you get to use some of the best sewing machines out there. I love their fabric selection and everyone who works there is so nice! I make the trek to Pioneer Square just for Drygoods Design.

I visited Drygoods during my travels before border closures and really enjoyed my time there! They had a lovely variety of contemporary fabrics and cloth perfect for clothing and quilting alike! I also picked up some fantastic sashiko thread for visible mending! Can’t wait to return when my travels resume!

Great place for sewing classes, as well as materials. The people who work there are very helpful when it comes to getting started or picking a project. The store itself is adorable, and even has cards and things that would make great gifts. Plan to go back there often. Wonderful store for anyone who loves hand crafts or just wants to learn more

This is a well curated fabric shop. It matches the maker who wishes to make their own fashion while living in grey Seattle. Fabrics come here from all around the world and all have a luxurious feel. Even their synthetics make me pause and admire. (Which is unusual for me.)Drygoods also carries yarns, notions, indie company patterns and they have classes one can take. The prices are not cheap. And nothing is mediocre quality.Drygoods caters to a creater who is dedicated to a different kind of fashion lifestyle-- conscientious, creative and dedicated.

Im not a big crafter so when Im interested in something its usually my first exposure. Having helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff goes a long way. I decided push needle might be a fun way to express myself and a friend recommended Drygoods Design. My friend was spot on. I left with the materials I needed and the info to get started. The store was clean and well laid out. It was my first time shopping for these supplies so Im not sure how there prices are compared to other shops. I knew I could find everything online for less but I love to shop local when I can and I want to talk to a human about the craft. I totally recommend this place. Theyre downtown, for me that was a huge plus.

Great store with lots and lots and lots of Fabrics. Let me be perfectly clear, be sure you know what youre looking for in this joint. I went with my Wife and she was like a kid in a candy room. We spent 1 hour just in 1 section alone. She loved and and will definitely be going back.

We took one of the intro sewing classes here and it was super fun and informative! Sewing is actually a lot more technical than I thought itd be. This place had a fair bit of foot traffic on Saturday when we went. The staff are so friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable.

I have been visiting Drygoods Design for more than four years, before they were in their current location. This is a fantastic shop for fabric, sewing, knitting, everything you would need to sew and knit such as books, notions, patterns, and awesome people to give advice. They also carry small gifts, cards, and things that are so perfect you just want to find a reason to need or gift them.Everything is carefully curated. The patterns and books are from small independent companies. When you go here you are not only supporting a fantastic business, but you are supporting a fantastic business that supports other small businesses and the community. The classes are led by knowledgeable teachers and allow for a wide range of skill and knowledge levels. The studio (also available for open sew) is beautiful and well stocked with machines that are really nice to work on. For classes especially, the prices are reasonable for the level of care and detail that goes into everything you get. You know that every product is going to be quality.

This shop is adorable! My friend took a class here, made a skirt, then brought me. The fabrics they have are awesome and they have a ton of great, modern patterns and books. It took all of my strength not to purchase anything. I wanted to buy it all! They also have a bunch of great small gifts and sale fabrics. And lots of cook fat quarters. Wish I lived in Seattle so I could go back for a class!

Cool small sewing shop. Lots of interesting fabrics and yarns, and helpful and friendly staff. The prices do reflect how nice the fabrics and knitting stuff are, but still very fair. There is also a really interesting makerspace next door that was having what looked like some sewing classes when we were there.

I took the beginner trilogy sewing series here and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Its organized so that the classes are smaller for more hands-on experience (up to 6 I believe), and the instructors are very knowledge and know their stuff. I gained so much confidence from these classes as we made a pouch, a tote bag, and finally a zippered pouch. The fabrics are adorable and they have a great supply of everything you could need to start a sewing project!

Fantastic service - period! I am having a sofa made and wanted a contrasting color in the same line to reupholster a chaise. I had the details, but Heather knew the info I had was old (the company had been sold). Heather called the company, got the new information and the fabric ordered for me! My living room will now look just as Id hoped!

This is a very cute, compact shop, but with a great variety of quality fabrics for quilting and apparel sewing. Its a little difficult to find though, you have to go through the coffee shop in the front of the building to the back rooms. The shop lady was very nice and took care in cutting and wrapping my fabric, even slipping a pixie stick candy in the bag!

My daughter and I were first introduced to DryGoods back in July 2018 when she participated in a kids summer camp. She absolutely loved the camp and the teacher. She wanted to do more camps, but they were already filled for the rest of the summer. Fast forward to the holidays and I reached out to the store to ask about sewing machines as my daughter really wanted one for her Christmas present. Drygoods took the time to write me a very detailed email on various options, some on the lower end of pricing and some on the higher end. We decided to purchase one in the middle of the road for pricing and the same one my daughter had used during camp. I will be honest and say that I looked for the same machine online and found it cheaper than the pricing at Drygoods. However, I felt like they had really spent the time explaining to me the options and I really wanted to support a small business. They were able to get the machine in time for Christmas (within the same delivery window as if I had ordered it from the local internet shopping behemoth), and my daughter loves it. What really sets Drygoods apart though is that two days after Christmas, when both my daughter and I were confused on how to properly thread the machine, the owner of the store, Keli, took an hour out of her day to sit down with us and really explain the machine. She gave us plenty of instruction and notes to help both of us feel confident in returning to our own machine at home. The human touch and instruction cannot be replaced by online shopping and I will gladly pay a little bit more to have a knowledgeable, friendly person give us an education. Thank you, Keli, for all of your help and explanation. You have customers for life with us!
