A range of yarns from the better affordable stuff to luscious local indie-dyed all the way to heirloom cashmere.The shop has long a long local history, super kind and helpful staff, a welcoming sit and knit area, and a very good vibe. They are always happy to help, and share ideas related to what your project is. I needed needlepoint needles and some floss - not their main focus, and one helped me figure out what needle was needed and how to use the floss. We talked a little about my project, and showed me some things on the Ravelry web site which were similar. Very nice shopping trip!

Mary and Janet are absolutely LOVELY ladies that will guide you to exactly the right yarns for your project. The store is cozy and inviting with AMAZING layout and organization by weight and color. Definitely worth spending several hours in here at a time!!!! They also offer complimentary yarn winding services as a bonus!

Such a cute shop. Yarn bombed tree outside was fun! The associates were sweet; they complemented my shawl and took my recommendation on the pattern, even added it to their store tablet! Did I mention that theyve got a store tablet with a Ravelry account? Such a smart idea!

The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. They have pandemic precautions in place, so only four customers are allowed at a time but they still made time to help me pick the perfect yarn for my project. They even helped me get it wound before I left!

Love this place. They have a great selection of yarns + classes. Not a great selection of knitting needles but its a small store so limited space. I drive 25 minutes to go here and its so worth it.

On a previous visit I purchased yarn for a test swatch on a blanket. After they wound my yarn and I tested the pattern, I noticed on my receipt the colour was discontinued. Note on my original visit I told them I was testing for a large blanket, but they never mentioned it was discontinued. I went back to see if they had enough stock, which they didnt. When I expressed my disappointment, the clerk rudely told me she couldnt possibly know about every yarn in the store. Needless to say, I dont think I will be going there again.

In Seattle for business 2 years ago and my husband found Acorn Street Shop. The ladies were so friendly and helpful, purely as enthusiastic about my new project as I was.

I have been waiting outside for over half an hour. I think if you limit your customers to four at a time, the time spent in the store must be limited also. If anything to help those who can’t wait outside for health reasons.

The people are amazing and extraordinarily helpful for any project or repair job. They have all kinds of yarns including local artisan, and embroidery wool (which is super hard to find). Altogether a fantastic place!

Such a lovely selection of wool- even nice soft washable yarn for baby clothes. Love that they have a reward program too.

The last time I was there, admiring the amazing variety of yarn, the friendly and very skilled staff helped me choose a project, select the yarn and needles, measure my gage. They invited me to sit and knit while they helped me understand the knitting instructions, brought me snacks and made me feel so much at home! What a wonderful, homey, friendly store! I cannot even begin to tell you how much I appreciate it.

This store changed owners about 18 months ago and was extensively remodeled; best of all, there is now a large table in the center of the store where you can pop in with knitting problems and the staff will help you untangle them! Staff are very knowledgeable, friendly, and incredibly helpful whether youre choosing a pattern, yarn, or need knitting help. The yarns - most of natural fibers - are beautifully displayed, and there is a good selection. There are also needlework supplies and buttons. Classes are available. And . . . dogs are welcome (there are dog treats available!)

Very helpful staff. Even over the phone the person who answered the call gave freely of her time to answer my innumerable questions. She also said that I can come for a group session or individual lesson/assistance. The prices arent out of this world, either.Additionally, and this has to be said, I have an East European accent (I am proud of it). Many a time when I interact over the phone with various companies, the ever so pervasive one-upmanship is evident.Not here!I was treated with the utmost respect, friendliness, and welcome.I am still looking around, but this may be my go to store.

The staff here is so friendly and knowledgeable. When I walked in and described the kind of yarn I was looking for, they helped me find three or four different examples of it throughout their shop! Theyve really got something of everything, especially wool blends.
