One of the best buy/sell/trade stores Ive been to! Their fitting rooms are amazing- clean, spacious, great lighting. The selection of items is also great, with lots of unique pieces. Prices are not as cheap as a regular thrift store, but for a curated second-hand shop they are pretty good!

I love coming here to find some flare for my wardrobe! The staff here at this location is super friendly and personable! I brought in 45 items to sell and they took about 7 (which is common for only about 20% of items brought in are sold no matter which consignment you go to!) I got 53$ store credit for when I go back to look for some good finds!

After reading reviews I didn’t expect great experience here with selling my clothes. However, the staff was friendly and nice, very pleasant experience. They took only about 20% of all my clothes that I brought, but I guess they know better what they need to choose in order to sell at the store.

Just ok selection (this time) but I really appreciate the covid precautions this shop takes, theyre doing all they can to keep themselves and their customers safe and I am here for it! Big f u to the lady passive-aggressively trying to get as close to me as physically possible, but a bunch of sweethearts shopping there otherwise.

I give it this rating because it has a great selection of Free People. Its selection warrants a 4 or 5 star rating honestly. But, their policies are archaic and confused. Dressing rooms are huge but limited to 5 items at a time, you then must dress and go to the end of the line to try on your remaining items. This concept was developed by a university research study to reduce the time people spent trying items on that they werent likely to buy anyway and lessen wait times. Unfortunately, execution is wanting. In stores that use this method the limit is no less than 7 and the department stores have a much smaller selection. The goal is to make buying clothes easier and faster for everyone in the store, not force people to undress and dress multiple times in one visit. Basically I spent 4 mins in the dressing room total (Im a fast changer) and 35 mins waiting in line three times to try on the 11 items I hoped to fit. Youd think being so close to UW they might have a staff member whod taken a 100 level business class. If anyone there reads this, keep your ADA size dressing rooms, split your remaining dressing rooms or add more, and up your limit to at least 7. OR accept returns for more than store credit so people have the option of buying and then trying them on at home.If you think youre lessening the amount of wait time by making people undress and dress multiple times your kidding yourself. Women wear layers. Men have belts. Youre just pissing off your clientele, losing the buying mood, and flat out losing business from women who cant imagine putting on and taking off their bra for the fourth time in one day.Shame.Take a hint from larger department stores that have already done the research and found the most expedient method and most lucrative is to remove limits and increase dressing room numbers.I wont be able to tolerate another visit.

Please do not buy the facemasks here. The return policy is 10 days. And you need the receipt and original packaging. Do not buy these masks!! They smell like death! There is free parking in the back for 30 mins. Still a good place-for other used clothing.

Ive only purchased here but the selection was good, there were some good deals, and the people working there were really nice. Some feedback is that the racks feel too close to each other and are too full to be able to move things around to see. Also, wish there was a separated athletic wear section.

I come here to sell & buy clothes a few times a year. Usually they purchase 3-5 items from the 20+ that I bring in to sell. And I use the store credit (much better deal than taking the cash) to buy 1 or 2 cute new things. Wide variety of clothes and the staff is super friendly too.

I am looking for a place to bring some clothes to sell, I have recently lost almost 80 lbs and I have tons of cool pieces that are just to big to wear anymore. Most are in great condition, but after reading through most of the reviews Im not sure that I want to drive 40 miles to be treated bad and have my stuff turned down..... I see that you say you have a limited mens selection, maybe start buying more stuff to put out there? Anyways, I will wait for a response before I drive that far..... Ilook forward to a visit soon...Sincerely,J. Jacob

Took in about 7 bags of clothing and went to both buffalo exchanges in Seattle! Came out with $210 in cash at the end of it! (store credit was like $450 I believe! Some crazy amount!!) 😇 worth it to go to both stores because I got $100 from 1 and $110 from the other! Different eyes and needs are based on the store!! Only thing is I’m super crazy and out there with my style so they liked a lot of what I had, if it’s more of the basics they most likely won’t be taking it!

It was crazy busy when I went in, but their incredible staff handled it like the warrior ladies they are. Despite being short-staffed, it was friendly, efficient, organized, and next steps were well-communicated. The wait was, well, what it was (there were a lot of people waiting to sell goods). Customers were patient and the staff smiled and thanked everyone. There were a lot of regulars who were greeted by name. The store itself is organized and clean. Id shop or sell at Buffalo Exchange Ballard again in a heartbeat.

They offered to buy several items from me and asked me to come back with my ID (totally normal)After I made the effort to come back with identification they informed me that they changed their mind on several of my items! They then gave me everything back other than one shirt they gave me $5 for.Literally such a waste of time, and they acted like it was no big deal... Dont waste your time selling here. Also worth noting the shirt they bought from me for $5 I purchased from them (tags still attached) 6 months previous for $22.50.Such a joke 😂

If youre looking to sell, dont waste your time. Ive been in a few times where they didnt take anything, but this last time, I went in with 3 giant trash bags full of beautiful clothes in excellent condition. Some, I had never even worn before and they didnt take a single thing and they barely even looked at anything. Huge waste of my time.

Clean, good selection, organized...and kinda pricey. But thats just me. I found a lot of things I liked, I just didnt want to pay $35 for the same North Face fleece I just bought brand new somewhere else for $38. Ive sold clothes here before and theyve always taken most of what I bring in. I was very surprised they didnt take anything I brought in this time considering half of it was new or like new condition. Not to mention the staff was rude and condescending. While I stood in line not once did any of the 3 buyers acknowledge me or even thank me for waiting but loudly greeted everyone else that walked in the door right behind me. I could actually see them avoid eye contact with me. It was awkward. Then when 2 buyers were looking through what I had to sell one of them said shed need my ID because I had some things that theyd take. Then seconds later they stuffed my things back inside the bag and mansplained to me what was in fashion right now. I was really confused. Im never taking my business back to that place.

I have shopped at this store for a while and have always had a good experience. Today I went to sale some shoes and purses. When I went in there was no line that I saw so I went to the counter the lady behind the counter rudly said there were people in front of me so I walked to were I thought there might be a line. When I finally got to my turn I sat my bag on the counter which was full of shoes and purses the lady looked at a few tgings in the bag and then said no that it was stuff they didnt sell in a rude manner. She didnt even look at all the stuff. Its ok that they didnt want my stuff but they really didnt have to be rude and they could have looked a little better at thing. Ive just been really disappointed in their customer service here lately. I dont think I will be visiting the Ballard store any longer and I will never try to sell things at that store either.

I love this place! You have to be willing to take some time to look through the racks but you can find awesome clothing here. Some of my favorite finds over the years have been my Burberry rainboots, John Fluevog yellow heels, Scotch and Soda graphic sweatshirt, Free People Cardigan, Calvin Klein loafers and my Franco Sarto suede knee high boots. The customer service is hit and miss but never have I had a bad experience.

Its hit or miss here with the staff. Today was a miss. Big time. I came in with my dog (who is actually in training, yet I forgot her vest Oops and as been in before). As soon as we walked in this gal at the front counter very loudly said to me, we only allow service animals. Sorry. First of all, Buffalo Exchange, get with the program. If Williams Sanoma allows dogs surely a sweater wearing dog on a short leash can come in with her owner, its not a restaurant. I was very embarrassed. Several people turned around and looked at me. I never get embarrassed. That isnt how you approach a person with a dog who may or may not be a service dog. Its rude.
