Im probably not the target audience, but this place is a bit dark.. I stumbled in after the neighboring bakery recommended a visit. I entered expecting classic comics like Marvel or DC, but everything looked amateur and demonic/satanic. Additionally, there wasnt much selection overall. The space was pretty barebones in terms of decor. Overall, I would say there isnt much to see here and Id recommend avoiding it altogether.
This place is an amazing find. Local comic artists work is on display and the atmosphere is euphoric. I could sit in here all day and just read comic after comic. The art they have on display for sale is beautiful. This place is the perfect example of a local business showcasing indie talent. If you appreciate art and want to support the a more indie scene, I cant think of a better place.
This little comic store is fantastic. Theyve got local artists in additions to more well know ones. They have some great zines too! They also carry tons of great pins and patches - its my number one spot for for gift pins! There are also classes! You can come here and learn to make your own comics!
A little sign caught my eye while I was in the area so I stopped in just to see what was what and was blown away! A fun & unique selection of art and goods featuring different artists. I was thrilled to find a selection of patches, because Id been looking for one for a long time and they had an amazing selection! If youre in the area its worth swinging through, great for last minute gifts for the weirdos in your life!
Push/Pull is an amazing haven of indie art goodness. It’s chock full of art, comics, zines, stickers, and prints by artists from all over the world. It’s inspiring to browse and see everything they have. It’s a visual overload. I see something new every time I go...and I don’t get to go as often as I would like. Do yourself a favor, visit this wondrous place and buy something knowing that you are supporting independent artists and local business. You won’t regret it.
I love this underground art space! There is not store like it in Seattle. Ive gone their to buy zines, prints, and art. There are always cool affordable classes. This past month I went to the 24 hour comic challenge they hosted and had a blast! Thank you Push/Pull!!
Love this spot so much. So nice to see such diverse art in one place. Every time I show up the staff are super friendly and helpful. You don’t see too many places like this these days.
Ive been visiting Push/Pull for years - its one of my favorite stops when Im in the neighborhood. They provide a community gathering space for artists of all kinds, and they offer great classes and events. Their eclectic selection of patches, pins, and stickers is my favorite!
This is amazing store with tons of cool art and merchandise from so many fantastic artists. They not only have so much great stuff, but also do classes as well! Awesome place all around
Very cool shop, great place to find art of all kinds from artists of all kinds. Staffs always been real polite, even to dummies like me and it’s pretty rad they offer a variety of classes for whatever medium you wanna try and explore.
I thoroughly enjoy this gallery. Its full of outsider and underground art that you wont see in Seattles mainstream art scene. Plus it has a lot of affordable merchandise that make for great gifts (shirts, pins, comics, stickers, etc).
One of my all-time favorite comic book stores. Nothing owned by Time Warner or Disney here -- just indie and self-published comics, my favorite kind! Also has original art, stickers, prints, t-shirts, etc. A hidden gem in Seattles Ballard neighborhood.
One of my favorite places to hang out and to look for independent art and comics! I’ve also gone to Push/Pull for some amazing classes to learn painting, screen printing, inking, and more!
Awesome community art store, lots of local comics, zines, prints and other work by local artists
Add a star for having cheap but reusable masks!!
An excellent comic book store! They were super helpful in reccomending me something to read. They have a decent selection. I already want to go back!
I’ve taken several of the art classes Push/Pull has had in the past and I’ve always learned something new and had a good time. They are a great value if you are starting out or want to try a new technique.
Get your unique, local. cartoony, and quirky art etcs here. Also, a good place to find some artistic inspiration
Wow. Newly discovered, and super cool. They have several local artists prints and originals. Very unique art. They sell buttons, magnets, books of art, and also have classes. This is a must to check out when youre in Ballard.
Amazing place for local art. Full of prints, comics, clothes, pins, patches and more. If you want that good good art that feels mildly uncomfortable to look at, this is your place
This place has the most delightful collection of PNW comics and artwork!Push/Pulls collection of patches and pins is the biggest (and best) Ive ever seen in a physical store, I wish this place existed when I was in HS because I would have put all of them on my clothes! (sadly have less time for altering my clothes these days but I always manage to convince myself to get at least 1 rad patch from their collection.)A perfect place to explore and learn about the variety, breadth, and creativity of Seattle artists and comic writers. At the very least, def stop in for a chat with some of the lovely artists who run and staff the org to learn more about the artist scene and hear some delightful PNW stories :) a must see on your adventures in Ballard.
A Tru DIY comic/zine/patch/pin/everything hotspot. Helpful staff, top tier artwork. A must see stop.
I love this store. Everything is unique, and youll probably never find the local pieces anywhere else. Here, youll find alternative art, comics, keychains, prints, patches, books, and more, and the large art pieces are always rotating. Be sure to chat with the down-to-earth staff about curious pieces, too. :)
Holy snaps!! All the local art and comics are amazing. Its a literal treasure trove of talent. 😍
This gallery/comic shop is amazing. Unlike anything Ive been to before with a huge volume of local art, classes, and events. Highly recommended!
Amazing gallery of local artists, with themed shows, shirts, pins, patches, and zines. Has a comics focus but also showcases fine arts and print making.
This is a great little shop with all sorts of great art and comics, they even have some pinball machines if you are interested in passing the time with some good old fashioned fun.
A place to find great art/clothes/comics/pins/patchs/ect. from rad local artists.
Its a great place to find one of a kind artist made work and to take informative classes to build your own artistic skills.
If you want to buy affordable original art or prints, this is the place to go! Support local artists!
A very rad place to discover local underground weird artists and comics. Come here if you want to find some pretty unique stuff.
Some of the best local art in Seattle, great selection of buttons, stickers, t-shirts, hoodies. Hosts original local artists as a gallery. Madd chill.
A good 1/3 of the store had merchandise at all. What was there was overpriced considering the quality, if laugh if I wasnt cringing. If that was it, Id leave it at 3 stars, perhaps. But upon passing from the entry room (filled with a couple of quiet pinball machines) into the store, the woman behind the counter hardly acknowledged our existence. A quick glance up from her typing, and not a single word before resuming it. She continued to type as we investigated the indie/self published comics and anthologies (a couple of shelves on the back wall). I spotted small crocheted octopi that I did not investigate but presume cost upwards of $10 dollars given everything else. A crochet project that I could do myself. It looked about a similar quality, too.The only things I seriously considered purchasing were some well designed tshirts and a card (that, even if was printed with wood block or something, was NOT worth $8).There are a couple of pieces featuring Nic Cage with the body of an elf, too. I guess there is that (but they are $200 each, of course)
Extremely fun comic selection. Good paintings too
Great comix and art store! Tons of hand made comix, zines and local art.
A great art environment.
