Oh my this coffee joint did not disappoint. Best latte and of course the famous cinnamon bun was scrumptious. The staff was actually the best part. They were so kind and welcoming. Seattle can be a little icy when it comes to interacting and I felt like I’d been a regular for years by the way they asked about my day, brought out water for guests, and generally just made me feel like I was at home. A wonderful place to stop if you need a fab cup of coffee and a warm welcome. ❤️
Very nice coffee shop. Went there in the morning and it was surprisingly not crowed. The staff was fast and made there jobs look very easy. I ordered the breakfast sandwich which was made fresh and was amazing. Nice alternative to the big coffee shop in town and I would highly recommend this location.
Such a great place for coffee and a quick breakfast :) loved it! Great location on the corner, very clean. Super friendly and helpful staff. Good prices and great choices. I had the mocha with almond milk and it was great. My friend had a latte and a chocolate croissant. She loved it. And we were able to sign up with their email list and both got free mugs! Definitely try it out :)
Nice small cozy corner location 1st & Madison, downtown Seattle. Ordered latte, cappuccino, hot chocolate. Mild coffee, not strong brew. Very attentive pleasant staff- 5 star service ( we were there on Sunday so it did not have mad office crowd). Minor suggestion- the brews were luke-warm. I like my coffee hot.
Really enjoyed my visit. Great modern ambiance, very good service, and excellent food and pastries. Offer only two coffee roast, their signature blend in decaf or regular, which was quite good (as someone who prefers light to medium roasts, it was not too oily and had a very nice acidity and citrus/floral note). You can order french press, which was very tasty. The breakfast sandwich was delicious (there are two options, I went with the pesto and goat cheese), and the almond croissant was TDF.The location has a small amount of counter seating and a few tables. Was able to find some space to post up for a couple of hours around 730 to get some work done with no problem. Great spot, would highly recommend if in the area. Night and day better than a Starbucks where the coffee is standard and the food is an afterthought.
Truly magical place! The staff are awesome, and the theme is beautiful and unique down to the menu! Everything is pristine and the ingredients are premium and delicious! I loved that they had organic low temp pasteurized whole milk (delicious and doesnt bother my stomach), otherwise I have to get soy or almond milk (which they have housemade).The. Cinnamon. Roll. Is. Legendary!!!! I cant overemphasize! The lemon cake with berries is phenomenal and they prepare the whipped cream with it to order! What a beautiful and delicious experience!
Excellent coffee shop. Tried the pesto and goat cheese breakfast sandwich and it was most excellent. A little small for the hunger and $ I brought with me but overall very tasty. The cappuccino was one of the best Ive had in the city. Perfect ratio of coffee / milk and very carefully crafted. Like most reviews I thought it was a bit on the pricey side but the atmosphere and quality of the goods made it worth it. Staff was very prompt and nice as well.
Excellent alternative to other coffee chains. Menu is smaller compared to other coffee shops but everything is prepared witj care. Ordering non coffee related items like soup or granola will surprise you; all good quality. More expensive option but you will get a different experience, service and overall vibe
This is a simple space - square with high windows a bit up from the harbor. But it gets everything right. The cappuccinos (regular and soy milk) were excellent. The granola was outstanding (lots of nuts, not too sweet) with just the right amount of fruit on the side when you ask for it. They do fizzy water from a tap (like Yo Sushi) goes well. We liked it so much we went back three days in a row.
This is a fantastic cozy coffee shop. The customer service was on point and greeted us nicely with a good smile and being very welcoming. I ordered a white chocolate americano and a cinnamon roll. Both were very delicious, especially the cinnamon roll; very flaky, airy, caramelized and with frosting that melts in your mouth. The best Cinnamon roll I’ve ever had. The experience there was fantastic. I highly recommend anyone to try out this coffee shop who wants a moment to enjoy a cup a joe with pastries and relaxing after a long day in Seattle.
Undoubtedly the BEST place in downtown. And Im not even a picky person when it comes to coffee shops!I have been here a couple times, and each time my experience has brightened my morning. The staff is nothing but friendly and attentive, the light food is tasty and local.... Ohh... and the coffee is super yummy!
Tried Storyville today for the first time while visiting Seattle. Excellent customer service and delicious coffee. The breakfast sandwiches were soooo good - I had the homemade pesto goat cheese one and it did not disappoint. Love this place!
Ive visited the Queen Anne location and Bainbridge Island roastery and bakery as well. Their coffee is excellent. I have stayed with espressos or cortados only. Id bet all coffee drinks are top shelf. Their baked goods are among the best you will get in a coffee bar. I assume are all matter in house at the bakery on Bainbridge and you can watch them at work from the second level. Finally all locations are well designed and bread pleasant places to have a coffee.
Outstanding coffee, food and customer service. They hold true to their messaging and Love Everybody. So impressed.
The cinnamon rolls are too good. I cant stop eating them. I think they glaze the buns and then bake again because the glaze is absorbed into the croissant roll. The best I ever had. I like the ambience of this location and the staff at all the locations are really cool.
Good little café with great staff. This is a great little stopover place for a quick caffeine fix. There is limited seating available and the cafe can be busy throughout the day. They have pretty good WiFi but if you need a power outlet there are only a few near the window seating. (On the plus side they have a great selection of music to work to).The coffee itself is a bit on the expensive side but it is delicious.
Excellent coffee! Try their homemade coconut/cashew milk blend for a nice vegan cappuccino. Impeccable service too. I was even offered a free piece of delicious warm chocolate cake !
I came to Storyville today after hearing many good things about it and decided to give it a try while on my trip to Seattle. My wife and I have had a total of 5 different coffee shops in the past two days and this is definitely one of the top we have had. Great tasting mocha with beautiful presentation and great customer service with a smile. Warm atmosphere and inviting lighting. Would definitely recommend making a quick detour to try some of Seattle’s best!
The coffee was really great. The service was great. The fresh cinnamon roll was AMAZING!
A little spendy but deliciously smooth coffee. A luxurious treat.
Pricey but very good coffee with cheerful, expedient service. Good shot, excellent pour, good beans, great service. Get it to go during busy hours, as this place is often packed. Their cashew-coconut milk is made in-house and is delicious. They use Theo chocolate for their mochas. Patient with customer questions, and everyone working there has a kind word or a friendly greeting.
Excellent coffee - first and foremost. Lovely ambiance. Great service. Overall no reason to complain. Cant wait to visit again.
This is a nice coffee shop. The design inside is modern and sleek, and the coffee is smooth. I ordered a latte and it is delicious. I also order chocolate croissant, and they are good. Even the price is a bit pricey, $5.35 for a latter (one size - about 14 oz), they have a reward program that after 10 purchases then you will get $10 off. In addition, they are now as of Summer 2019 giving out free mug or gift card in exchange for your email.
Lovely service when we stopped in from out of town today. Got two iced lattes to beat the heat, and they had nice texture and flavor. We camped out in two seats at the window bar and enjoyed the people watching. One barista in particular was very friendly. He helped us out in getting a free mug and then brought us waters when we were finishing up our lattes. Nice little place!
Amazing place! Fabulous and authentic coffee options, not to mention their delicious breakfast sandwich - get with pesto goat cheese! We went here multiple times while in town because it was that lovely - and their logo is adorable :) Get a mug now! Will definitely be spreading the word and returning when I’m back in Seattle, thank you for your commitment to high quality food & beverages!
The food and drinks at Storyville Coffee were great but minimal seating, but definitely will be back. This place is pretty cool, I had the mocha and I enjoyed the unique taste. Excellent service and coffee quality! awesome breakfast too! 💜
Their espresso is smooth and delicious! I got a 12 oz latte and was delighted! They also gave me a free mug with my purchase! The drink was a little expensive at $5.85, but for the location, quality, and service it was well worth the visit! I’ll be back!
THIS PLACE NEEDS TO EXPAND RIGHT NOW!!!! Seriously, I can see it topping Starbucks. Best coffee shop I’ve EVER been to. They even have wait staff bring you a water while you’re sitting down. The best part: The back of the employees’ uniform said “Love Everybody”
I was excited to try this coffee shop. It’s nice to go somewhere other than Starbucks. When you walk into the store, it is modern and clean. There wasn’t much of a lineup at 10am but there was no where to sit. A few standing tables were empty but the few sitting tables were occupied.Coffee was average, slightly acidic in flavor.Did not try the pastries as they were expensive.
Coffee was great, and there was no snooty attitude from the baristas. My kids were welcomed too! I wish they had oat milk rather than their custom coconut blend.
GREAT mocha, cappucino, the chocolate cookie was amazing!! One of my faves for coffee.
Great little coffee place! Staff was friendly and helpful and coffee was great. While we sat at the window seat sipping our coffee, we were brought cool glasses of water. Considerate place!
Storyville is the absolute best! Great coffee. Homemade dairy-free milks. Homemade syrups. Tasty treats. Amazing staff. Go here! You wont regret it.
Best Coffee in Seattle, bar none. I love Storyvilles intentionalism, that their beans are roasted on Bainbridge Island, that they make their own Almond Mylk and Vanilla Syrup, and that they only use cane sugar and not processed. And their mochas are insane. The chocolate is so smooth and still has such a great punch.
Just visiting Seattle for a few days and after trying several places for their lattes, Storyville was the best tasting. Smooth, rich flavor. The right amount of sweet without adding anything extra. The only place I went back to for another taste. 5 stars on flavor and quality. Less stars for the price with the size of the cup.
Our favorite coffee shop in Seattle! We stop everytime we come to the city. We had their coffee and breakfast sandwich (highly recommend their pesto goat cheese on it). Their customer service is also top notch. They have friendly, down to earth people working there. The atmosphere is pretty chill and visually appearing with woods and gold tones.
Im really particular about my coffee and this is the best mocha Ive ever had. The espresso is strong but still smooth and creamy. I think this is my new favorite spot.
Some of the smoothest and very best coffee that Seattle has to offer can be found here at Storyville. Ive visited and enjoyed this location, the one in Pike Place Market (upstairs inside the corner building with the flower shop - has a great view of the water but is usually super packed), and the Queen Anne location. I love that they make their own milk alternative (a coconut cashew blend, I believe), and I cannot emphasize the high quality taste of their coffee enough. The staff are always friendly and helpful in my experience, and I appreciated it when they offered me a free coffee mug for providing my email address for their mailing list. The decor and atmosphere is very nice in each location as well.
We love this place! They make wonderful coffee and the atmosphere is very relaxing. No over processed sugary drinks just delicious coffee and foam (maybe chocolate)
They have AWESOME almond croissants.Espresso and coffee are not amazing but pretty good -- I had a latte and a french press coffee. It is kind of expensive and they do not do discounts for bringing your own mug.I can say the staff are *super* friendly and if you give them your email you get a free mug (as of May 2019)!
A little overpriced, and not a lot of drink options--but what they make is pretty darn good. I guess they go for quality over quantity. I prefer Peets coffee on 3rd ave if youre in the area. Better deals and they generally have fun, unique seasonal drinks, and its not Starbucks.
The service here has always been excellent. Prices are average. It tends to get a bit busy. The food and coffee here is very good.
Best staff ever! Super friendly, helpful and even offered a free chocolate dessert. Oh, and coffee and chai tea fabulous! Come here!
We came here every day while we stayed in Seattle. The best coffee we found in the whole trip of Canada and US. Even though we had to walk a few blocks and in a rainy day, just cant miss it. They made babychino for my 2.5 years little girl on demand. Apparently its not a real thing in U.S but they kindly offered to us.
This is the place to go for a really smooth latte. This is one of the few places I have been to in the US where the coffee experience is more enjoyable rather than functional. It doesnt hurt either that this shop has a great overlook onto Pikes Place Market.
This is a quaint coffee shop, the kind where you ask for your beverage in a mug and sit down by the window and people watch. The coffee is pretty good, the desserts are AMAZING, I had a salted caramel cookie that killed me because it was so delicious. And then one of the servers offered me a slice of chocolate cake on the house, as if I werent already in love with the place. I definitely recommend visiting, especially for tourists who are looking for good coffee outside of Starbucks.
Great service and very friendly staff. The coffee was made to perfection. The almond croissant is to die for. Will definitely come back.
First time visiting Seattle and had to hit a few local coffee shops. Storyville was my favorite spot. I made more than one stop for coffee while in town and have ordered it for home as well. There are many highly rated coffee shops in downtown Seattle. Storyville is definitely one of them.
Cute little coffee house with smooth espresso. They make their syrups in house.
My boyfriend and I are visiting here and we were looking for a coffee shop to pop into. We came in and got cold brews, and then we were offered FREE chocolate cake. They were going around and cutting slices for all the guests sitting in the shop. The chocolate cake is the best I have ever had. I want it for my birthday. And the coffee was great with it.
A perfect microcosm of everything wrong with modern Seattle. The blindly unaware staff (five or six of them at a time) are so focused on shaping a leaf out of your foam, they miss all the big signs. I ordered a breakfast sandwich, waited nearly 20 minutes, then got served the wrong item. When I went to the counter, the counter guy blithely asked if I wanted a refund - as though that were optional, not required.
Great coffee with a great cause. I appreciate the tucked away locations all over the city. Its a limited menu, but the quality of coffee is wonderful. Its very smooth, and always made well. Not too much seating, but Ive always been able to find a seat.
Went there for coffee while I was staying across the road at Lowes.Very good quality coffee, made to perfection and friendly staff. 👍🏽👍🏽
Every time I come here I get a delicious latte. They have an excellent mission and they back it up with exemplary service. Coffee is great and the staff are friendly.
Great coffee. Make their own coconut cashew milk that is out this world.
Best Bainbridge Island latte. Also love the addictive frosted cinnamon roll. Super friendly staff makes it even more special.
Outstanding coffee shop in downtown Seattle. The lemon cake was exceptional: one of the best sponges Ive ever tried. The breakfast sandwich was also ridiculously tasty, and their cortado was close to perfect. Five stars all round.
This place is AMAZING. I think it was the best mocha I’ve ever had. It was like magic. They have an incredible refined chill atmosphere too. They sent me home with a bag of coffee and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in seattle!
Cute and the Breakfast sandwich is so yummy. Plus, we each got a FREE coffee mug. Service was very good and the coffee was so good.
I had the cold brew and they gave us free chocolate cake while we were having our drinks! The cake and the coffee was one of the best food/drink pairings Ive ever had. So amazing!
