This place was wonderful. Last day of visiting Seattle and we stayed in Beacon Hill. I decided to go early and pick up pastries for everyone so I got a variety. I immediately knew I wanted one of each of the fruit danish and they did not disappoint. The croissant part was flaky and delicious and the fruit tasted like it had just been sliced with no extra sugary glaze on top that you sometimes find other places. I also got the savory pithivier (my favorite), some chocolate almond croissants and a blueberry muffin. The staff was super friendly and helpful as were the customers who seemed to enjoy making suggestions and watching me overspend on pastries. I highly recommend visiting if you’re in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle!
I come to fresh flours every Sunday. If you order online 15 minutes before pick up, you can walk right in and skip the line! Their pastries are absolutely divine. I highly recommend the cinnamon roll (only available on weekends) and their bacon quiche. You really cant go wrong with any order though. Very friendly batistas too! Excellent food and friendly faces!
This cafe is in a nice location. At 8am on a Sunday we were able to park close by on the street. The coffee and tea selection is good, and the pastry selection is small but high quality. The twice baked chocolate almond croissant was delicious. The raspberry coffee cake was rich but somewhat dry. We sat outside on the sidewalk which was extra wide and surrounded by nicely kept plants. No seating inside at this time.
Nice coffee shop! Friendly service. No masks *required.* I ordered a warm green tea latte and it was just right! 🤤 My only complaint is that there is ZERO comfortable seating. 😅 I hope they will add comfortable seats in the future!
The twice baked Croissants here are the absolute best. If you get the almond one it has almond paste inside, but if you get the chocolate it has both chocolate and almond paste. You know it’s a good croissant when it makes a flakey mess everywhere and they always do here.Fresh Flours is a great place to feel like you’re in Europe the entirety of our miserable 2020.
I forgot to tip ! I will leave a double tip next time I’m in. Had a breakfast burrito, pastry, and a coffee. All were very satisfying. Staff was so nice and welcoming.
Best bakery items, savory and sweet. Great coffee, and the perfect place to get a quick bite to eat.
Its our tradition to get pastries here weekly. So glad to have it in the neighborhood. Every single pastry weve tried has been delicious. My favorite is the pear danish and the hazelnut coffee cake. Love that it is open early too!
A small neighborhood cafe in North beacon hill. I loved their green matcha latte and also the tea time cookies which come in 3 flavors. I tried the almond one and absolutely loved it. Their coconut mango macaroon are a must try.
I personally think this is the best place to get pastries in Seattle. It feels like your neighborhood bakery and I find myself coming here once a week.
They have a wide variety of pastries, as well as fresh and refrigerated sandwiches, and some bottled drinks and snacks. The croissant and London fog were delicious. They also have chai mixes, Miir mugs/travelers, and whole bean coffee for sale. I bought a couple stickers because their logo/mascot is so cute. They did act a little unfriendly towards my friend he went back in for a 3rd time after wed been sitting outside (1st for a drink + sandwich, then a pastry, and finally a mug)--as if they thought him strange for not thinking of everything he wanted up-front. Ill chalk it up to those particular employees and whatever kind of day they were having, though.
Stop in for a morning coffee or tea and dont forget to get a nice baked snack, too. Nice and friendly staff.
Best pastry you can get outside of France.
Amazing pastries. So beautiful and delicious.
Me and my partner enjoy going in a few times a week in the morning. Its nice and has a good vibe. The people are always friends and the music is always good, yet sometimes nostalgic. Its kinda started off our transition as they get ready to go to bed after work and I wake up getting ready for work.
Every time I taste a new pastry, I think to myself- “This is the best -insert pastry here- that I’ve ever tasted.” But don’t go and take my word for it, I want all the pastries for myself😋 Also, the green tea lattes are so good!
The blueberry lemon curd danish here is literally one of the tastiest foods Ive ever eaten. The espresso was good as well. Would definitely recommend a visit.
They have a great set up, makes me feel very safe!
I think Fresh Flours have some of the best pastries in town. Usually the staff are very friendly even in difficult times. But this morning, Sat. December 19th, the cashier was extremely rude to me and my friend. I totally understand COVID-19 prevention guidelines but they could at least be courteous to their customers instead projecting their angry towards us. This isnt the first time I have had horrible customer services at this location.
I am sitting at this coffee shop in Seattle, it is a rainy morning in June. Through the large coffee shop windows, I can see mild rain falling on the empty outdoor tables and chairs set outside, the extended umbrellas above the tables yearn for hot summer days. People are coming in and out of the establishment, those who enter are immediately indulged in the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and the almost-too-loud indy music from an unknown artist. The chatter is indistinguishable, the couple on the far corner seemed like longtime friends catching up, the gentleman across is sitting alone, copiously tapping his phone, probably wishing his children would call for once. Two older ladies sit by one of the windows, one talks incessantly while the other listens while gazing a people passing by. A mom and toddler girl walk in, the little girl quickly stops by and smiles at me, making the whole scene overwhelmingly memorable. I get up for a coffee refill, the rain stops, the sky is getting brighter, the place becomes a bit quieter. Perhaps time can slow down for a while and then we can pretend the world can be contained in a cup.
Great coffee and Im gonna regret saying this, but grab one of those blueberry and lemon curd pastries. Dont plan to share it with anyone. The scones are good, too!
LOVE THEIR HOT CHOCOLATE AND THEIR SUGAR COOKIES. Along with their pastries
Very Very pleasant. And wonderful food.
Still open and serving the most delicious coffee in Beacon Hill! They are taking every precaution to have a safe experience while still getting to get out into the neighborhood and enjoy a good coffee and baked treat. Thank you smiling employees for serving us every day!!
The coffee its expensive but is worsted the deli taste good 👍 excellent 👌
The best freshly baked goods and the nicest staff. Be sure to buy a twice baked croissant 🥐!
Wonderful pastries in this community bakery
Close to my house, clean, and good coffee. Staff is great. Checks all the boxes for me!
Kinda slow moving but great if you got the time.
Delicious pastries, and my second favorite hot chocolate in Beacon Hill :)
This is a fantastic little coffee/pastry shop. In can get a little crowded, but thats just because its so good! Good coffee. Great variety of sweet or savory pastries.
What a nice atmosphere for a meal. I was taken here for my birthday and they didnt disappoint. I had a pasta dish that was excellent. My friend had a lamb dish that looked perfect and im vegetarian. I only docked the one star because after the main course, our waiter all but disappeared. Luckily he had a great attitude. If i were rich, I would be a regular!
Love this place! All the things that are good about an independent coffee shop. I arrived today from SeaTac airport, bags in tow. I immediately felt comfortable, got info re the wifi, used the comfortable, clean washroom. The coffee was delicious and so was the quiche that I took with me for dinner. Wonderful!
Its a warm and inviting place. Sometimes might be hard to find a seat. Just cause its a popular spot. Great selection of desserts. Oh, macarons! 😍😍😍
Highly recommend the almond croissant, other pastries were good too though. Make sure you go early though as things do sell out!
Great local hang-out for coffee/tea and delicious pastries. Just on the south side of the Beacon Hill light rail station. Indoor and outdoor seating.
The best cookies that I have tasted in a long time besides the ones that my lady bakes
Middling product quality, rude staff, overpriced. Try your luck at The Station instead.
Great pastries that seem to be part French and Japanese. Its kinda load and busy, so it wasnt the kind of place you would work or study. It would be the perfect to hang out with friends if the space was a bit larger, but it was pretty busy and cramp when I went so its probably not always like that.
The guy guy is super nice but the batista with the nose piercing scolded us
Awesome little pastry shop with delicious coffee and baked goods. I usually go here for their green tea lattes and my boyfriend really enjoys their coffee. However, we both really enjoy the pastries that are here. Light, flaky, and delicious pastries are available and they are not the super sweet kind that you get from most places. Also, they are always fun flavor combinations! Staff has been professional and helpful every time i have gone in. Great place if you want a small brunch snack and good atmosphere.
Friendly people good coffee
The pastries are fantastic! I got a peach danish and loved it! Their coffee is also pretty decent. One thing I would say though is that this coffee shops draws in a pretty white crowd, especially for being on Beacon Hill. Might not be the most welcoming environment for other folks because of that.
Average cup of joe in newly gentrified beacon hill. A couple small chairs to sit outdoors.
This place is great. Definitely come here for the fancier espresso drinks and the pastries. Such good pastries. Staff is super nice. Aesthetic is clean and simple, nothing really exciting, but quite pleasant.
The first time I went to this shop the workers were extremely rude to me. I chucked it up to them being busy so I decided to give it one more try. Came in today to help small businesses and ordered a coffee. The barista was nice to the customer in front of me but was rude to me. Now I worked in the serving industry so I know that workers deserve to be rude to mean customers but I’m far from being a rude or entitled customer. I had my order ready said please and thank you and had a smile on my face. But I’m 100% positive that this shop tries to carry this rude esthetic or something. Because I have no idea why their staff is so rude. I will never come here again.
Oh where do I start. The coffee is great. The green tea latte is my favorite. I love anything matcha and that green tea latte has just the right taste and it is not sweet. Their bakery items are always a pleasure to eat. I do really want to try all of them and have gotten close, but I do have some favorites. I have been to two of their locations and the staff are always nice and happy to serve. I love the fact that they put up local artist in their coffee shops. It is always a great place to go
Ive been regularly going to Fresh Flours for about 8 months now, and its become one of my favorite places Ive found in 2017. Their pastries are delicious, and well worth the price compared to other coffee shops. Personal favorites are the Twice Baked Chocolate-Almond and recently, the Basque cake. The staff are the perfect balance between friendly and low-key, which you need before your cup of coffee at 6 am. Tip: go at 4:30 to get half-off their baked goods, and bring them home to that special someone.
Good coffee and pastry! Lots to seating area for meet up and work. One public restroom.
Excellent coffee and even the place smell awesome (desserts) I definitely coming back!
Fresh Flours is a gem on Beacon hill! I love this modern bakery/coffee shop. Its small and cozy, and their staff are very friendly and provides quick service. They have seating and good wifi as well. A good place to catch up with friends or sit down and get some work done.Their coffee is great and they also have oat milk as an alternative (which I am obsessed with, oat milk lattes!!). You cant leave your order with just coffee - you have to try their pastries! They have beautiful and delicious sweet and savory pastries - you CANNOT GO WRONG with any of them. Ive tried their Ricotta Raspberry Danish which had the perfect balance of sweet and tartness. Their Basque cake has this really cool top and a custard base - how can you not try this. My favorite so far is their pithivier (savory) - which is a round puff pastry pie filled with mushrooms and onions. Give any of their pastries a try - you wont be disappointed.
Coffee is decent but service is awful. Been there 3 times, all 3 times I got the impression it was an inconvenience for me to be getting coffee there. They forgot my girlfriends sandwich, and when she checked on it after waiting for 15 minutes they gave her attitude like she was the one who forgot to cook it. When it was ready they left it on the counter and didn’t say anything.
They always have fresh flowers ! love the place!
Loved their cookies!!!
Great pastry shop. I could eat breakfast here every day.
It is a great little shop. Coffee and pastries are wonderful. But it is small and the lines can get long.
Everything I want in a breakfast place--tasty coffee drinks and delicious pastries. Pretty easy to find street parking out front.
The coffee is great and the food is pretty good as well. Their yuzu macaron is super delicious and their bacon quiche is cooked just right! Definitely highly recommend! Theres nice outdoor seating and its a great place to just relax and unwind a bit, or have a nice slow start to a lazy Sunday!
Best coffee shop in Seattle. Baristas are nice. Cool neighborhood vibe. And the pastries are some of the best in Seattle.
Great coffee, cool on a hot day. Friendly server with a smile and helpfulpointing out GF choices for my friend. We will return.QueenLala
One of the only coffee shops I walked into not named Starbucks while I was in Seattle. Great breakfast/pastry items available. Drinks come out quick and are great!
My favorite place to get coffee on Beacon Hill. Plus they have dog treats so my pup is always happy to stop by.
Super cute little coffee shop with some local and handmade eats. Love popping into this place for a quick coffee and a pastry. So friendly and warm!
Great pastries
Possibly the slowest coffee shop in Seattle. Quality is good but service is awful.
Good pastries but frankly overpriced, coffee in line with other places. Being in a big city absolutely does not justify those prices - you would equal or better products in Paris for instance at half the price... And also more expensive than most good places in Seattle...
Great selections of baked goods, coffee was perfectly balanced, staff were friendly. Thats the makings of a good coffee shop. Ill def be back.
I adore this place, and the macarons are to die for. I highly recommend the passion fruit and the Earl grey. The service is great and friendly. Its a cozy little spot.
This place is really nice. Sometimes a bit crowded but the coffee is great and there arent better baked goods on Beacon Hill. Dont know what you want? Ask for a suggestion. Theyll help you out.
Excellent pastries and coffee. We came here for breakfast during our visit in Seattle.
Great spot. A bit difficult to get to by driving. However if youre on the bus line or rail to get here then its easy! Driving then hunting for parking is not fun. The espresso drinks are well made. yes much better than the mega coffee chain. The highlight of this location is the desserts! Amazing! Japanese inspired and created deserts will make you want more and more. For big eaters. The desserts and pastries are likely to be smaller than youd expect. So this may be a disappointment for you. Then again a little goes a long way, and this is the case for the pastries at Fresh Flours. Its got a nice little college vide to it lots of students with their laptops open taking up two tables not giving a care about the space they take up. This can get annoying. In fact youll find that at any cafe. So its universal and be prepared. There are sandwiches offered and created by Tres Sandwich. They are a Japanese sandwich shop in Bellevue and theyre amazing.Enjoy a cup of good java or tea and have a great time here.
Despite the name, not a bakery! Espresso bar with a nice small selection of pastries and very friendly staff. Coffee is better down the street at the station.
Great assortment of pastries. Great coffee. The right music if youre starting your morning. Very inviting people!
Stopped here before taking the light rail to airport... back to NYC- maybe it’s being in NYC too long, but everyone here was so nice! Great service, coffee!!!
Love the vibe of this place. Small, but has lots of seating. Almost all of it along the huge windows that let in a ton of light. They do let you pull down the shades. Many food options ranging from sandwiches and wraps to pastries to boiled eggs. There is protein here! Havent tried the coffee, but I love the Tumeric Chai.
Great service. Awesome pastries! And great if you just want to go somewhere quiet and do some work.
Always have strong coffee and good pastries
A wonderful little bakery/café with amazing service! I would absolutely recommend them to anyone, and its very likely going to become my go to for a light breakfast pick me up.
If I could give a 0 I would. My daughter went in for the 1st time and bought their lemon cookies. We shared some and within 2-3mins she was having an allergic reaction! There was NO label and NO signs in the business. She i extremely allergic to peanut/pecans. I took her to urgent care and thank god shes ok. I contacted the owner the next day and she was very sorry. She asked what she could do. I thought that paying for the urgent care bill of $50 was fair. She agreed. I sent her the invoice, but she wanted more information so there could be an investigation! WHAT! My daughter got sick from THEIR UNLABELED LEMON COOKIES and now shes making me feel like Ive done something wrong. Shes very lucky the reaction wasnt worse! Dont go here people! They dont care about our community or people!
Great coffee, particularly lattes. Classic coffee selection, but I wouldnt call it a bakery necessarily. They have a limited variety of pre wrapped pastries and sandwiches, thats about it.
Cant say enough wonderful things about this bakery! Yummy baked goods, great staff and the owner, Etsuko, is awesome!
High prices but the coffee and pastries are good and the location is convenient
I left a cash tip in the jar but the barista didnt notice and called me out on not leaving a tip on the square machine. Totally ruined my experience of what could have been a 5 star visit. I should have reached in the jar and taken the cash out that I had just left. That was the most ungrateful and presumptuous comment I have ever heard.
Visiting Seattle for a long weekend; Fresh Flours was our morning stop before starting each day. Great coffee, food, and blast of sunshine as you look west up South McClellan Street.
Small, quiet, excellent choices of coffee drinks with a cold counter filled with snacks and sandwiches. AC plug ins for your laptop plus Wi-fi.
Spectacular baked goods. Excellent coffee. The only problem with this place is seating is difficult now that everyone knows its here.
A hot caramel macchiato with an onion and Swiss croissant makes your whole day better! The workers are so nice and the atmosphere is so welcoming
Best bakery Cafe. Raisin cinnamon crossaint is amazing, stumptown coffee, friendly staff.
