Great neighborhood coffee bar run by the nicest Italian guy. Reminded me of some of the coffee bars in Rome. Good pastries, excellent espresso, and smiles!
Awesome cafe! We had the coffee and macchiato and they were both delicious. The pastries were wonderful as well (ham croissant very very good!)
It’s been a long search for the best coffee in town, and finally found it. Besides the exquisite coffee experience, this place offers a positive vibrant environment, thanks to the owner. Highly recommend checking it out.
Cute cafe in Downtown with great coffee, smooth not bitter. Bonus points for the hot Barista
Best coffee weve had in Seattle. Dark and rich without the cheap aftertaste most places have. If you know good coffee, this is the place to go.
Great coffee and service. I had the Americano which was unexpectedly rich and tasty.
Had latte at this place. The coffee was good and enjoyed the morning view facing the window.
Great vibe and less of a line than other near by spots.
Their menu is comprehensive and they are very generous in certain portion sizes. They were also serving distinctive coffee. Their tables could also give a lot of room for individuals, especially those who brought with them a laptop.
This place is busy in the morning, so if you show up around nine, be prepared to queue up. However, the staff and apparent owner (an affable gent, clearly and proudly of Italian decent) move the line along with a quick ease. I ordered my 12oz americano and ham-and-cheese croissant for here, because I knew Id be writing a review - this place just strikes one that way, the kinda place you want to share with others. Not that they need any promotion, judging from the steady flow of patrons.Minutes later, I collected my Americano in a beautiful hand painted mug with the name of the place tastefully emblazoned and took a seat at a beautifully hand-painted table near the window. Shortly thereafter, the aforementioned Italian gent delivered my croissant - split long-wise and beautifully toasted in the panini press. Both were were thoughtfully prepared and both were delicious. Certainly worth my time... And yours.
Good coffee, quaint place, indoor seating allowed, nice people, about 4 tables for seating inside
I’m a NW native and have tasted almost all the coffee this town (Seattle) has to offer. Hands down, the coffee at Caffe Umbria Is the best I’ve had to-date. It is velvety, smooth—no bitter or overwhelmingly burnt taste. It is a treat I always look forward to enjoying.
The sandwiches are simply incredible. I tried to eat a little bit of it all and I still got so full that I couldnt move.
So good. Their seasonal drinks are complex and wonderful and the atmosphere is perfect! Im a seattle native with high standards and they hit the mark so well.
Super cute and clean cafe. Coffee and bakery items were delicious. Owner was so nice. Highly recommend if you are in the area.
The best. The best coffee, the best food, the best atmosphere, the best people. The owner, Mario, is charming and kind. No better place to start the day, take a midday break or wind down. Senso Unico is much beloved by everyone in the neighborhood, as well as others who go out of their way to get there. In a city full of good coffee places, Senso Unico stands out as someplace special.
Great coffee and fast service. Mocca was not too sweet.
I’ve been to coffee shops in seven states, and must say that the quality of product, and service, and overall hospitality of this shop is exceptional. I have been visiting the shop for over 15 years on and off. Love their Italian style roasts, and quality of their baked goods
Nice Italian coffee close to the real italian tradition. It saved our breakfast several times here in Seattle!
Fantastic! Have been a loyal customer for over 20yrs.Dee Dee
Felt like I was back in Italy! Quick, delicious and friendly! Highly recommend
Tried to go on Sunday and it’s been acquired by Cafe Umbria. It is under construction currently. I couldn’t find any news about the closing. I wish Mario well and thank him for the over 15 years of outstanding coffee and service. Loss of another Seattle icon for sure.
Very pleasant little cafe with a lot of character. A nice place to go and grab a quick beverage or snack. The staff is super nice and the prices are lower than the neighboring coffee shops which is always nice. Pretty large selection of coffee and tea like drinks too.
Good Italian coffee, try this if you want something better than Starbucks. Great for quick lunch with friends. Like this place
Get the bacon & cheddar biscuit. Might be the best biscuit Ive ever had. The coffee was phenomenal too.
Recommended by hotel concierge. Maybe the coffee is great here, but Im a hot chocolate drinker. When I order hot chocolate, it should be hot and chocolatey. Theres is neither. I also ordered an apple strudel which I asked to be warmed. It was not warm and Ive had better strudels. I think they need more heating elements. For the price, I expected more and better.
Has a little bit of a European feel with the little mosaic coffee tables. Coffee isnt great - kind of a heavy roast. If you like Starbucks but want to pretend youre more classy and Italian than basic, this is the spot for you.
The coffee and espresso drinks are amazing. Good selection of breakfast foods and baked goods, all are exceptional. A must-visit if youre in the area and need a coffee / snack pick-me-up.
Ive been coming here since I started working downtown 3 years ago and is my favorite place to stop. The coffee and tea are both delicious and the sandwiches are perfect for a quick lunch. Definitely worth the stop.
Best cappuccino this side of Milan. Good sandwiches too!
Felt like we were back in Italy - excellent breakfast pastries - asparagus and goat cheese quiche and cappuccino was amazing!!! Wish we would have know about this place sooner - would have come here every morning... The owner is super nice and very clean shop.
Very good coffee but beware of staled baked goods. I had a croissant in the morning, it probably was a leftover from a few days ago.
Authentic Italian coffee shop. Good pastries too! A few tables available as well as the standard coffee bar.
Wonderful, every time! I get a chance to practice my Italian with the owner. He really pays attention to every little detail!
Great latte and quiche for a quick breakfast. Distinctive biscuity smooth Italian espresso taste. Smaller place and appears owner operated which I find makes a positive difference in service. I would return
Real Italian coffee and pastries experience. Make sure to ask for the real Italian version of cappuccino
I had a turkey cheddar croissant and a caffé mocha. Both were great. The mocha was made with dark chocolate, so it wasnt too sweet like at your typical franchise café.Service was polite and expedient. The gentlemen working there was softly whistling while he worked, which was pleasant and really seemed to fit given the personality of the place.
Great coffee. Happy atmosphere. Talented and friendly baristas. The owner is really nice too.
I love this place. Every time I walk in, I feel like I have been transported to Europe. The coffee is awesome and the breakfast options are tasty. I love the spinach and feta croissant.
Espresso con panna (extra panna) was delightful. Excellent shots. Atmosphere is demure, textured, with jewel tones.
I went a few times with my sister and everything was great.
Great Italian coffee and nice atmosphere.
Delicious quiche, the pastries looked great, friendly staff and quick service. A very cute little place for a coffee or a quick bite
I love the espresso and the atmosphere here but it can be tricky to get a table depending on what time of day you walk in. I dont feel like its a great place to set up shop for a long time, but its nice for a pleasant beverage and chit-chat.
Splendid oasis of humanity amidst downtown grit and grime
Simply the best italian espresso bar in washington state. Mario is hugely responsible for seattles coffee culture from before starbucks was a thing. He is the King of Espresso and if you time it right he will make your coffee himself.
Delicious coffee, beautiful interior and pottery, fresh and decadent pastries.
A small coffee shop with good Italian coffee and high quality pastry. One of my favourites in Seattle.
Friendly staff, delicious pastries, and one of the best lattes Ive had in a long time.
The coffee is very good and I loved the background music. There are not many food options though.
Fantastic! A truly authentic Italian experience in downtown Seattle
Great coffee and good selection of baked goods and panini! Very Italian!
Simple nice place to grab an americano
Great Italian sandwiches, and the espresso is perfect and consistently made.
I love this place. The owner and his staff are warm and there coffee is great
Wonderful place to enjoy morning coffee.
Croissant wasnt fresh. Staff should be more friendly.
The asparagus quiche was soft, flakey and absolutely delicious!
My favorite caffe in downtown Seattle. I no longer miss a chance to come here. The breakfast goods are perfect for a working start. Of course if you prefer a simple pan au chocolat, those standard baked goods are above standard here. Their drinks are light and refreshing, prepared purposefully and served in perfectly weighted ceramic ware.
Outstanding coffee; best cappuccino in town. A little expensive for single-shot drinks, but theyre my go to spot when Im looking for a caffeinated pick-me-up.
Absolutely the best coffee in town. Try the Piccantino(sandwich)!,
Excellent coffee, friendly service.
Perfect place to have breakfast when you are in town. Lovely italian coffee shop, delicious cappuccino and croissants in a EUropean atmosphere. Love it!
I love the cozy vibe and the food. Excellent cappuccino as well.
I love this place! Try the cappuccino and the hazelnut cookie!
Top coffee, top orange juice and good food. Friendly service.
Always the best espresso. Always the friendliest people.
Good coffee, and good customer service!
Lovely coffee shop, great coffee and delicious baked goods. Bonus that they open early (6am!)
Delightful coffee shop. A treasure of the City.
I dont really care about the whole pumpkin spice latte craze but when I heard this place makes it with real pumpkin puree, I had to try it. Absolutely delicious!
Best coffee in Seattle☕
They make a nice unsweetened mocha with house chocolate
Have loved going to this cafe for years. Quick serice, great coffe, lovely staff
Beautiful decor and European ambiance and wonderful flavorful coffees and tea and outstanding service.
Best coffee shop in Seattle! Amazing service and atmosphere!
Luigis espresso is The authentic Italian espresso. No other places in Seattle come closer
I feel like I too have been transported to Europe.
One if the few proper espresso places downtown
The man knows how to make a reliably good espresso.
Coffees are good and quite a bit of variety of cakes and bread to choose from, but its way too noisy and packed, was there around 9:30am weekday.
Great pastries and great attitudes to go along with.
Outstanding coffee, service and eats.
