Very disappointed. I’m in town for a weekend vacation with my daughters. As we were walking the city I noticed ORVIS. So excited to visit and pick up some flies, maybe a new bag, and an ORVIS hat to represent as Almost all my fly fishing gear is made by ORVIS. I walk in and I make eye contact with older lady worker and no greeting, no offer to help? I walk over to fly area and I can hear the lady kindly greeting guests after me as they enter the store and offer her assistance. I am in the store for at least 10 minutes before she comes over. Really offers no help and walks away. I decide against purchasing a bag or shop for anything else as I don’t want to give my hard earned $ to this store so I find flies I need, pay and leave feeling so disappointed in the customer service and snobby worker. I am fully aware that this sport is a rich white person sport/hobby. I would hope a company like ORVIS would recognize that the world is evolving and so is their customer and greet and treat all the same. Do better ORVIS!
