The Confectionery made us the sweetest little boxes and treat table for us at our wedding! They were incredibly easy to work with and the attention to detail was incredible. It was a nice way to give our guests a little treat as a way to say thank you for attending. We even stopped by the store on our honeymoon to pick up a box and chocolates for ourselves. We cant recommend them enough!
Lots of different candies. Kids Favorite. They have Special Halloween ones and looks fun.
Pros:Tasty peanut butter cup caramelCons:When I first bit into the peanut butter cup, it had a hardness/crunch to it. By the second bite, it had softened, maybe due to the heat of my hands. I wasn’t sure if this particular piece was stale though.I was not greeted coming in the store. I had turned around to leave and that’s when someone popped up from behind the counter and greeted me, almost knocking the wits out of me.It was completely empty, which is never a good sign. However, usually in a recession, these types of specialty stores become more of a novelty than a necessity. It just depends on a number of factors.
If you’re going to stand at the counter you should be willing to help all customers! Sorry to have imposed on you! Won’t be back due to the poor way I was treated. Seems like customer service is hit or miss here. I really dislike having to give you a one star but nothing I said was getting any kind of a kind response from you!
Seems to be primarily a reseller of candy rather than a sweets producer, could be wrong but that was what I noticed.
This is my favorite place to take my kids, no holiday is complete without a trip to the confectionery.
The Best Candy store! Nostalgic and Sweet! Over the top friendly owner that takes the time to choose only the best inventory! Every Holiday and Season is carefully decorated and stocked up with Cheerful treats and whimsical charm!
Rude lady on the check out counter with poor customer service. Though we have bought their overpriced candy, the experience there isn’t all worth to come back to.
This may be changed now. However I went to their store on June 11th to buy some candy for a birthday. Their google store says open, their website says nothing of being closed. I called right at open and the phone rang and rang and then said sorry unable to get to the phone. no biggie they just opened and are probably busy. I went in and they were closed. No notice on their website. No notice on their phone, and no notice on google. Just be aware before you swing in they may not actually be open.
A bit on the expensive side but damn are those truffles and carmels tasty!!!
This place is where its at! Thank you to the owner and the employee who helped my fiance and I! I wish I could say I remember their names, but I dont. We are having a candy bar at our wedding and they helped us decide on which candies were best to ensure a variety, great color choices and Im pretty sure we left with a sugar high from all the candies they let us try to make sure we liked each one. The store itself was inviting, super clean and fun! Def go here.
This is the spot for candy. Shes got the old classics which Ive never even heard of and some of the best British bars Ive never heard of either. I asked for a recommendation and the owner suggested the Lion bar (nestle). The Lion is good, real good...
Quality store.
It’s a lovely little shop, but what the photos don’t show is that it’s not a traditional candy store where you can fill up a bag - you have to either buy pre-bagged candy (quite marked up and At a fixed quantity) or have the store clerk fill a bag for you behind the counter, all which is priced by the pound. A combination of poor eyesight and anxiety about disturbing the only clerk in the store, who was already busy with restocking shelves, led to my exit from the store empty handed. Their selection doesn’t hit on many candy store fan favorites (such as sour belts or many standard sour candies), but they appear to have an excellent variety of high end chocolates and classic (old school) candies. Disappointing though, since I was looking for a candy store where I could find regular candy store-candy.
The greatest candy store ever! My son is at childrens hospital with lukimia and was craving blow pops, they opened up after hours to let me get the pops. You girls are awesome! Thanks again
They dont accept cards for purchases under $5, despite 99% of their overpriced candy being under that threshold
Visual display and quality is consistently top notch. Creative seasonal choices. If I owned a candy store, this is what it would be. Always love a quick trip to The Confectionery when I am strolling around UVillage.
Like stepping into childhood. The selection seems to be better when its not close to Christmas, but on my last visit they were stocked with a vibrant selection — everything from gummies, boxed candies, truffles, marzipan, and my favorite: malted chocolate balls. The woman working the counter was extremely friendly and let us sample whatever we wanted. Only problem is figuring out how to control oneself and not go overboard with sugar!
Vibrant colors and tons of sweet treats! Their Halloween truffle selection was creative and delicious. I did not try any of the other things, but their chocolate is great!
Best candy in town! Huge variety and so good!
This is my happy place
I have to say... this place is great! You get what you pay for people! MMM!!!
Beautiful candies and one of the few places in the seattle area that has italian hard candies.
Nice.
The manager Paul kept hitting on me, it made me feel very uncomfortable. However the deserts are wonderful! I mean I guess its Seattle but as a big hairy guy it just seems odd.
Great service, selection and amazing seasonal collections! Delicious all around.
Candy is tasty but girl working there said $1 per jar minimum.. I wanted a sampling of several kinds but she said only if I bought a dollars worth off each, which I thought was silly. Also when we walked in she was eating something with the same gloved hand that she reached into the candy jar with. Since said hand had just been in her mouth I passed on pre-salivated candy.
This place is super cute and cozy little candy store but not until I walked in one day and the staff here look very unhappy. First of all no good customer service not even a hi or hello when they see you walk in. I came in here to buy a bunch of candies to put into my daughter’s guest birthday party bags and upon checkout the lady behind the counter ask me if I want a bag. Yes please! I said and then I realize how in the world am I going to carry those tiny candies out from the store. Thats the most weird question I ever heard! I understand if Im doing grocery shopping—yes I do bring my own personal grocery shopping bag with me. I think this place should be welcoming because its a candy store (a happy sweet store) but I guess not and Im not coming back!
I don’t know if we caught them on an off day, but the staff was cold to me and my kids. One lady made a snide comment about how she hates when kids mix up the candy in the bins while pointing at the bins my kids had just picked candy from. I glanced at the bins and nothing was out of place. The same woman kept glaring at us while we looked around. She even made an audible annoyed sigh when she came out of the stock room and saw us in her way. I politely apologize for being in her way and she just glared at us again. After the way we were treated, we won’t be coming back.
It has a decent selection of candy (especially impressed with the sir candy option ratio) and cute little trinkets. But SOOOOO expensive!
I love this place. When selection trumps price this is the best candy store.
I went there to buy some candy, for a small party. They are the best, friendly staff, excellent service and a beautiful and clean place.
The confectionary is the place to go, candy tastes super super good, coming from a kid this is awesome what a good store to grow up going into, anyone wanting to go, DO IT!
If you like candy (and really, who doesnt?) This is the place for you.
Place is nice and has a decent collection of candies and sweet treats for kids and grownups.
I love this place so much
First visit. I will go again. Lots of selection.
I loved candy from a childhoodNow Im into this grocery store
Good selection, little pricey. Staff member was somewhat condescending during our brief interaction, which caused me to leave on a sour note.
The most calories Ive seen in one place. The confectionery has every type of candy you could think of and the prices are somewhat reasonable.
Big fan of this store. One of my favorites!
So good, good service and bomb candy. Kristy ur amazing!
Great quality candy and huge selection.
Wanted to capture the essence of the shop but was told that wasnt allowed. Also I was assumed straight which is also pretty insulting.
Expensive but has a big selection.
Soo much variety !!!
SO MUCH CANDY! Get the mint malt balls. Pricey though.
