This is how you run a small business. I’m in Atlanta, GA and was looking for chocolate dipped strawberries for my 5yo niece’s birthday. Randy didn’t have any strawberries but he talked through options he did have like a custom candy basket, a gift card and candy basket combo, or an electronic gift card so she could have her own little candy shopping spree! What a precious little shop. This candy shoppe has it all. I loved taking my 6 year old daughter in to see all the vintage style candies. It was so fun letting her pick out the ones she wanted to try. The owner is so great and I hear they are opening a party room...cant wait to give it a go. Only one thing I wish they had...A SHOPPE IN BOTHELL!!!

This is by far my favorite shop in Ballard and my favorite candy shop Ive had the pleasure to frequent. The candy selection is impressive but I come here for the handmade treats - specifically the fudge. The fudge flavors are vibrant, the texture is melt-in-your-mouth smooth, and it lasts as long as my will to eat it slowly! And the owner, Randy, is an incredibly kind man who has offered to make me fudge on request - multiple times - as my favorite flavor (mint chocolate) doesnt always make the rotation. But the flavors are worth exploring and youll easily find a favorite, if not two or three more (the red velvet is a close second for me). Highly recommend; your taste buds will thank you!

Beautiful, little, old school candy shop. Great candy selection but where this place shines is their handmade selection. It’s a small selection executed superbly. The fudge, peppermint bark and peanut butter cups will be the best you have ever had. We stopped by Sunday during the weekly market and the gentleman behind the counter was very kind and appreciative of the business. After we had the bark and peanut butter cup we came back the next day to restock, the girl behind the counter was friendly and upbeat. All around a must stop in Seattle!

Cool sweet store, the prices are a little high but they have different flavors and types of desserts that remind me of my childhood.

They are expanding their store and they have lots of different candy and sweets from around the world. Rebecca and how we were really nice girls that were excited about candy also work there.

It has everything I loved when I was a kid! The owner is just as sweet as the treats he sells. Im excited to have found a true candy shop...there simply arent enough sweet shops in the world anymore.

Much bigger location than old place. Parking is tough as there is very little street parking due to dining areas on street.

They have a good selection of the candy favorites, but the star of the show is the homemade fudge. Massive selection of fudge flavors. They had other assorted homemade candies. Very happy with our visit.

Not only are the owner and employees unbelievably nice, but their fudge is phenomenal. It melts in your mouth and every flavor that Ive tried is delicious. Its not cheap, but its more than worth it.

I went to so many stores today and everyone had such a bad and rude attitude and I kept thinking about this place and how I wish every store was as friendly as the owner and this girl who was working there she told us she is going to Princeton soon. The moment me and others walked in she was so friendly and helpful with everything. Not only that but their candy selection is phenomenal. I had a lovely experience shopping here! I was looking for some small chocolate presents for Christmas, and the clerk took the time to help me find personal gifts for each of my friends that matched their tastes. They even had me sample some of the goodies before buying them, and may I say that they are truly delicious! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to add a personal touch to their gift giving!

Just discovered this place thanks to a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream. This shop is ADORABLE and I believe it was either the store owner or a manager that checked me out tonight and he was incredibly friendly.Clean shop, wide variety of options, yummy ice cream, and you have GOT to try his pumpkin fudge!! I got a little sample of it then HAD to buy a chunk of it. He will also let you try the candies in the store so you know youll like what youre getting.The music just feels like an old school candy shop too. I loved the vibe in this shop - Ill be back :) 10/10

This is the best place for candy and nuts. There is a great variety of both, and the nuts are roasted and coated on site.Whats good to see is that the owner, Randy, caters to the kids buying two pieces with their quarters and dimes, as well as to the larger folk using their disposable income.

Andy is welcoming, helpful and friendly every time. The selection of candy is pretty comprehensive for a small store with good quality. As a testament to its success, theyre opening another store as well further down in Ballard.

Where to start .... The Sea Foam! You must try it. It can`t be explained it`s just so yummy. Also, get the owner to tell you how the store got its name and what he did before starting the shop over a scoop of ice cream. Fascinating!

Such a great place! We were in town from Portland visiting the zoo and found this gem. Mickey was so kind and had an amazing selection! Candies, we had never tried also. We will be back!

It would be impossible to list the myriad wonderful aspects of Sweet Mickeys in a review, so really my advice is just to go. If you need more details Ill just throw out a few telling anecdotes. On my recent stop in for holiday gift sweets, I witnessed: Randy, the owner, happily scheme with a mother who wanted to hide some scavenger hunt sweets around the shop for her unknowing children that would (theoretically) clue their way there; An adult regular who walked in a little out of breathe because she needed a quick treat for the bus she was about to be late for; Randy explaining how their gift cards (Sweet Bucks?) come in $1 increments because a dollar will actually go pretty far there, especially in younger hands, all the while encouraging selection by sampling first! Most of this happened in one surge, yet everyone was somehow treated like family walking through the door. The treats speak for themselves. I couldnt be happier with every dollar Ive spent there.

OMG, if my dentist found out I visited this store, I would be charged a premium for future services. Best selection of proper candy in state if not the Pacific Northwest!
