If Disneyland the Monterey Bay Aquarium and The Burke Museum were put into a blender this would be the result. My daughters absolute favorite place to go is this small yet mighty special soul of a store that has transformed her imagination into an amazing amount of knowledge and enthusiasm.

I love this little local bookstore. Staff has been friendly and helpful every time Ive been there. I asked about a book that they didnt have on hand, but they ordered it and it arrived the next day!

We love this local book store. If they dont have a book we want in stock, they order it for us and get it to us quickly. During the pandemic, they even delivered for free.

Phinney Books is a pleasant neighborhood bookstore. I like how the bookstore is laid out and I appreciate the color scheme they chose for the store. They have a lot of new books to choose from and their selection is pretty extensive given the size of the space. They have a nice kids book section as well as a young adult section. In addition, they have gifts and other knick-knacks like puzzles, stuffed animals, and greeting cards. I do also really appreciate the events that they hold – I saw some flyers in the store for book clubs. I also saw a flyer for a subscription service. I do wish the person at the counter would have greeted me which would have been nice, but she seemed preoccupied with her thoughts. Overall, I’m glad I happened upon the store and will keep in mind when looking for some nice books.

Super helpful and friendly staff. Great little neighborhood book shop. If they don’t have something in stock right away, they can usually get it within a couple days for you too.

This is a small independent bookstore. It sells new books and while the selection isnt large, the staff will happily order things for you. The focus here is books. There arent a lot of other gift items, theres no espresso... just books. And new books... not used books. 🙂 They used to do a great kids storytime before COVID, and hopefully will be able to start that again. I wish this could be the size and scope of Third Place Books or Elliott Bay, but in this day and age, its a rare and special treat to have a neighborhood bookstore at all!

Home to an elegantly curated selection that foregrounds authors rarely translated or uncommon works from masters of craft, meanwhile keeping abreast of the best in contemporary literature, history, ecology, and memoir. Superb themed window displays reflect a massive breadth of interests.

Small bookstore, but very nice. Great selection of childrens books for the size. A little pricey in my opinion, but it is not a big chain store, so to be expected.

This is a nearly perfect independent bookstore. It has a wide, but very nicely curated selection in many, many categories that reflect both general interest and the interests of its owner operator. They are very quick to try to fill special orders and inquiries.

Local full price bookstore. If you have the Chinook Book, theres a 20% off discount. I was surprised to not be greeted by the owner while other patrons seemed to be greeted. Dont know why. Its a cute sure and I wish it would stay in the neighborhood.

This is a pretty awesome bookstore. On the small side, but with a wonderful selection and the ability to order most anything quickly. The staff is super friendly and the store is well kept up. Its my favorite bookstore in Phinneywood.
