Ive gotten tattooed and pierced here on separate occasions. Its the place I picked to take my mom to get her first tattoo. The care taken with sanitation and additionally with covid is excellent and its got very professional vibes. Everyone who works here is lovely to speak to as well.

Colin O did my tragus piercing! Luv the vibe of the the shop. It was very warm, friendly, comfortable and inviting. The prices are slightly high. But I think its worth it!

Colin O was absolutely wonderful. I got my septum pierced and he was so informative and walked me through everything he was doing and why and even the anatomy of the septum 😂 I loved it. His small talk also made me feel at ease even though I was very nervous. It was super quick and easy!

A beautiful space with gorgeous jewelry in a killer location- but so incredibly disappointed with my experience here. Went in to get jewelry replaced for my septum piercing and felt very talked down to. Was unaware that price points were so high. Left quickly, and without what I came for- wouldn’t recommend this space for someone looking to feel welcomed and comfortable.Note to reply: I have absolutely no issue with wearing my mask! This review had nothing to do with being asked to put my mask back on after showing the employee my septum piercing.

Great range of jewelry, both prices and styles. My husband got his lobes pierced and I got my cartilage + nips done. We had a great experience. From entrance -> jewelry selection-> the piercings themselves -> exit, all staff was helpful and friendly. Really enjoyed Lil’ John, with such sensitive piercings, he was great at keeping the vibe calm and making sure I was comfortable.

I came to the store, not knowing they had a appointment only for anything. They seen me try to open the locked door. I waited. The person came to let someone else in who had an opintment. And the employee came outside to open the door I said excused me is it by appointment only? and whoever it was acted as if I didnt exist and they couldnt hear me. Completely ignored me and just walked back inside. Never going here for anything. Just cause of that. How rude.

Honestly, I am not sure what happened to all the decent artists that used to work here. Where did everyone go? Im more interested in learning where they currently work then picking through whats available.Im used to paying a pretty high price for all of my work in years past at laughing buddha, but I would not consider being tattooed for this price by really anyone there currently. Some of this work looks like they just finished their apprenticeships and are still learning. Of course any art form is lifelong learning and I understand that but if Im going to drop five or $600 on line work on a large piece I definitely want it to come from someone who has something special to offer and this just does not hit home for me after viewing the artists available. Its not to say these people arent talented but theyre definitely not of the same quality of people that have been hired in the years past.I feel that the quality has gone down as I view portfolios. Im going to stop telling people where my tattoos came from because the artist that did them no longer works at LB. In years past, there was a list of people that I wanted to be tattooed by who worked it laughing Buddha aside from the artist that I had. I was blown away by The versatile nature of the tattooers in the past but currently I am disappointed.Otherwise, anytime Ive been pierced here it has been an excellent experience and I would definitely recommend it for piercings but after exploring portfolios, I am seriously looking forward to frequenting other shops that I have not befriended yet. Oh well.

I waited alone in the piercing room for nearly half an hour for a piercing jewelry change. There’s no reason a customer should need to wait that long. I left without receiving the service. Also the person at the counter tried to charge me double for the jewelry I was purchasing, (instead of $76/pair rang me up at about $140). I caught it, and luckily it wasn’t expensive (relative to their other pieces). Problem is they blamed it on being a new employee, but for non-returnable piercing jewelry, that’s not acceptable. I’ve been to LB before and was very impressed, but don’t plan to go back after this experience.

I got 3 piercings (triple helix) by Lil John here and had a great experience. Everyone was super nice and knowledgeable. The practices they have implemented for covid safety are awesome and very thorough. I took some time going back and forth over jewelry choices, but didnt feel rushed to make a decision. We tried a few different placement options to let me figure out what I was happiest with. The piercings hurt of course, but he checked in with me after each one to make sure I was ready for the next. Made me feel really comfortable and at ease. Im super happy with how they all look.

At over a decade since my last tattoo, jumping back in and getting a new piece at the height of a pandemic seems... Questionable. BUT, the setup at Laughing Buddha makes all of those concerns disappear. All artists work in their own rooms, which makes for such an amazing, cool, and safe experience.Im so happy Id been following Kendall, and nabbed one of her Up For Grabs pieces. Her work is so delicate and perfectly detailed. I love it so much!

Everyone at Laughing Buddha is super friendly and professional. I’ve gotten a few tattoos here because that’s where my artist, Jenny, works. Her line work is amazingly detailed and she has a deep knowledge of color and how to get the most out of ink. I have more tattoos planned and you can bet it will be Jenny at Laughing Buddha that makes them.

They say you can bring in jewelry you’ve bought from them in the past for new piercings, but then charge you extra fees to do so which ends up costing the same as a new piece. And their jewelry is expensive. And $10 PPE?? Not to mention that the cost for the artist is just way too expensive for the service. Total bull

Had the pleasure of being pierced by both Colin and Lil John in the space of 24 hours and would highly recommend both!Colin walked through each step of the piercing and made sure I was comfortable and informed through the entire process, which took away any mystery or fear about what was going to happen. He is very dedicated to a clean and safe environment.After a few hours with my piercing I decided I wanted the placement adjusted slightly (not Colin’s fault, I approved the first placement) and went back the next day. Lil John was able to see me and was very kind and accommodating to my pickiness. Again I felt heard, comfortable, and well informed in what has felt vulnerable and intimidating in other parlors I’ve been to.Garrett at the front of house was also very friendly and helpful in selecting jewelry that would fit my ear best. I never would have considered a kite shape until he suggested it and now I’m obsessed. Great experience all around, definitely worth the drive over from the east side of the state and I look forward to returning!

I had a daith piercing done by Colin. They had called me before to tell me kind of what to expect (although they should have told me I had to wait outside and do paperwork because it was a bit cold). They brought me in and had me chose out jewelry then had me wait for a few minutes. Colin was amazing! I was kind of nervous about the whole process but he walked me through literally step by step!!! He ensued j was comfortable and relaxed. He went through after care well. If I get any other piercings done I will for sure go to him and this place

I had the most wonderful experience here. First off, the facility was super clean, and they’ve implemented effective measures to ensure they are being as COVID safe as possible. They even called me the day before the appointment to make sure I knew their protocol which was super helpful.Rae was my artist. From the initial zoom consultation to the end of my tattoo appointment, she had awesome ideas to add that I hadn’t even thought of. She was incredibly professional and worked pretty fast, while also being extremely detail oriented. I get a little shaky at times, so she periodically would ask if I was okay or needed a break which was appreciated. TL;DR: Saw lil john for existing piercing help. He was great. this shop is great. I wish I had come here to begin with to get pierced.This place is top notch. I wish I would have come here first, but unfortunately I got my piercing somewhere else (another supposedly reputable Seattle establishment I wont name). After over a year of dealing with some issues, including having to get it re-pierced by a different piercer at the aforementioned undisclosed shop -- I was ready to have someone outside their business weigh in. This is how I found lil john and Im so glad I did. he really took the time to listen to my issues, and was quick to fix what they neglected. I came back two weeks later since only one half the problem was fixed and he listened to me, and had me taken care of an on my merry way. He works well with sensitive areas and Im really glad I found him and the laughing buddha crew. top notch shop! worth the price (you get what you pay for) and really appreciate how covid safe their operation is.

Lil John did my Navel piercing. Very quick, easy, and painless experience (just felt like a little pinch!). He did a great job on placement too. Perfectly centered and symmetrical. This establishment is VERY clean and sanitary! They are taking covid precautions very seriously and I cant thank them enough for it. It made me feel very comfortable there. Cant wait to come back for a dermal or two.

Had Dan do this piece from a great series of childrens books I grew up with. Usually dont write reviews but made an exception with how good he is. I love the placement. The way it shows below a short sleeve shirt is perfect, which was his suggestion and Im so thankful he did.Also I want to point out how good Dans technique is. He is very efficient with his movements and pressure. Easily the least painful tattoo Ive gotten and healed up incredibly fast. Will be coming back for similar pieces eventually.

I have been a client at Laughing Buddha (formally Damask Tattoo) for several years. I love the shop for many reasons. Always friendly and professional staff. Very clean, their covid guidelines are above and beyond amazing. I recently had a four plus hour appointment at their new location. I parked at a reasonably priced nearby pay lot. Very easy and there are plenty of two and four hour spots close to the shop as well if your appointment is not as long.Laura Exley has been my go to artist. Her work is stunning. Im always amazed how her artwork transpires to skin!Check out their website because all of the artists are very skilled. I highly recommend Laughing Buddha!

I was treated really well when I stopped in to get my earrings checked on. Really kind and caring service. The jewelry selection is really great and has a lot of unique options as well. I had my second set of lobes re-pierced, as well as a double helix, from Colin O. He and the rest of the Laughing Buddha staff are absolutely amazing. Super clean shop and everyone was so friendly. Super calming and sterile environment. The front-of-the-house staff (is that what its called?) were wonderful, per usual - totally patient while walking me through jewelry choices and prices. Cannot say enough great things about this shop and the artists there! I previously had a piercing done at their old location and returned the other day for a new tattoo. They are extremely covid conscious, they do a great job of letting you know what the process will be like before you arrive (like waiting outside for a few minutes while you fill out forms, and not bringing anyone else to the appointment with you etc.) Rae was fantastic all around, her interpretation of what I wanted was spot on and it was very easy to make minor changes the day of. Awesome and friendly staff. I have had my ears gauged before but they didnt take. That being said they have a few piercers and tattoo artist there. We spoke on it. He helped me realized I was rushing it. And also suggested trying glass gauges to prevent irritation and pain like it did before. So far so good. Lil John has been amazing.

I got pierced here a few months ago by Colin, who is super nice, very skilled, and has a nice way of working and interacting with clients. Also, the covid precautions here are very good. I felt safe, and I support their decision to charge a PPE fee.Recently, through no fault of Laughing Buddhas, one of my piercings got infected. Again it was definitely not their fault. They have a very professional, highly sterile process. It was my own fault for self-contaminating.I was sort of upset, and totally confused about what I was supposed to do (other than getting antibiotics prescribed), but the folks at Laughing Buddha were beyond amazing. They were quick to act, and were able to squeeze me in on the same day for a replacement with a new, freshly sterilized, longer earring post. The team here completely saved the day with their kindness, empathy, and knowledge. And, not only was the experience good, but I really believe that replacement actually did a lot to promote healing.I wanted to share this because I was met with care and support during a time when I felt vulnerable, and the whole team went above and beyond. I hope this story shows Laughing Buddhas high level of trustworthiness and professionalism.

Ive had 6 piercings in total from LilJohn over the last 2 years. He is the only person I will ever go to again! I had had 13 piercings before him & I regret not doing my research before hand. They were done poorly. Hes got an extensive amount of experience & it shows. All piercings Ive got from him have been to perfection. I really appreciate him, his work & his professionalism. Vick does excellent work!

The front staff were friendly and welcoming, their system for COVID safety is legit. I got a tattoo from Laura (my second from her!), who is a bomb artist and a skilled tattooist. Her tattoos are always rad and shes always pleasant to work with.

I was very impressed with their cleanliness and COVID safety protocols. Double mask required, temperature screening and hand sanitization before even stepping inside, and even a UV-based cell phone sanitizer!And that’s before the appointment began. The tattoo artist I worked with (Erin Ashleigh) had her iPad with her so we could make last minute adjustments to her design, which I thought was awesome (and may have spoiled me for future tattoos). Communication was easy and we ended up with a design that we were both very happy with. Her actual tattoo work was great, and she made herself available for any and all questions during the healing process. It’s too bad I’m leaving Seattle soon because I would love to work with her again, or anyone else at Laughing Buddha for that matter!

I have done two piercings here with Colin O, nose and helix. The experience is fantastic as he puts you at ease, talks you through exactly what he’s doing and makes sure you’re comfortable and pleased with your piercing. TERRIBLE COMMUNICATIONYou guys need to be better at communicating with your customers. Especially artist Nikki. I tried shop phone, her IG DM, emails, and ZERO RESPONSE. I paid $20 for the initial virtual consultation only to miss it because she sends the link right before the scheduled time. Some of us are front line workers and we dont get to sit around at home waiting for an email.Dont waste your time here for a tattoo; there are tons of great artists in Seattle.

I got my first double lobe piercings in January, compliments of my parents for Christmas. I was super excited and had done countless research on the best and most affordable piercers in the Seattle area. A friend recommended Laughing Buddha after her positive experience with Colin. However, I did not see that level of professionalism during my visit. He pierced my right earlobe so close to my face that the earring post irritated the skin and caused my lymph node to become infected. Ive seen my general physician AND a dermatologist in hopes of saving the piercing. Despite multiple rounds of oral and topical antibiotics, the irritation is still present (in the form of a bump) and I am needing to protect the skin behind with a band-aid. I have been struggling to decide whether or not to take the piercing out because of the high price my parents have paid and do not want to pay for a re-piercing. Overall, I am disappointed with the quality of care and talent that I experienced here.

If you want high quality piercings done by artists who know what theyre doing, come here! I scheduled an appointment with Lil John and it went very well. I appreciated his knowledge and recommendations based off my anatomy, as well as his demeanor. This is a very nice and sterile facility all the way around and look forward to coming back for another. The jewelry is a bit on the expensive side but gorgeous and definatly worth every penny!

Super cute place! The staff are sweet & accommodating, and the sanitation standards here are way above par. They fit me in for a piercing even though my request was super last minute. Also, parking was very convenient ( although that might just be because my appointment was at night ). Will definitely be back!

Colin O when I was visiting.The staff is beyond helpful, the jewelry pieces were of fantastic quality,and Colin was very thorough in explaining all of the sterilization and aftercare. When I mentioned I was out if state, Colin was able to give me several recommendations for follow up on my piercings that were practically local to me.Definitely recommend!

The tattoo studio I used to go to (Damask) was folded into Laughing Buddha and so this was my first visit. The hygiene protocols put in place since the pandemic began are extensive and everyone inside takes the state guidelines very seriously. I filled out my paperwork digitally and was temp checked at the door before being offered hand sanitizer; they sanitized my phone as well. The front desk staff are friendly and professional, and my artist (Ingrid) is awesome; shes professional, highly-skilled, creative, collaborative, and easy-going. Where do I even begin with how wonderful my experience with Mr Vick was! Ive wanted to start my tattoo journey for so long, but with so many shops and so many artists it can be so confusing. I emailed Laughing Buddha with what I wanted, explaining it was my first tattoo and I knew exactly what I wanted with references, etc, and asking if they could direct me to one of their artists that would best suit my idea (two simple tattoos dedicated to my favorite musical artists), when they told me Vick would love to schedule a consultation I just went for it, deciding that the shops professionals would know who was best fit for my tats. And Im so glad I did! Within the week I was booked, and in our zoom consult Vick was so nice and excited, telling me I had great ideas for my first tattoos, he even knew the bands I was referencing, and any questions I had he answered with ample information, it was quickly obvious to me I was in great, professional, and experienced hands. When i got to the shop and got in for my appointment, Vick was playing music from the bands I was getting tattoed on me, my little heart knew I was in the right place. Vick had printed out many different sizes of the tattoos I wanted (obviously because during a virtual consult its hard to tell what it will look like on you) and helped me decided which sizes were best, and then he went to work. Laughing Buddha has amazing COVID precautions and he wore lots of PPE and everything felt very clean in the shop. I have a high pain tolerence, but even so Vick walked me through everything we were doing in clear laymens terms, which made me feel super comfortable getting it done, and he made sure I knew everything I needed to know about aftercare. On top of it all, my tattoos came out better than I imagined and I couldnt be more pleased with my choice of shop and artists. I know this time I so tough for artists everywhere, and I wish I couldve tipped Vick my entire bank account, but hopefully what I tipped can help him out a little. Definitely going back to Vick when Im ready to continue my tattoo journey! (PS please dont go get tattooed or pierced unless you can tip your artist an appropriate amount, times are tough for everyone and artists still are putting themselves in harms way for their work)

Stringent Covid procedures, an artist so amazing I took a nap in her chair (Jenny) and came in under budget. I have already started saving for my next work. Everything was thoroughly sanitized and clean, I felt VERY safe. This place is my new shop for sure.

I had previously booked an appointment but changed my mind and wanted to do a weekend walk in appointment. The staff were great, they helped me choose jewelry.The piercer, was wonderfull. The piercing was quick. But he was personable. Listened to my last bad piercing experience at a different shop.All in all it was an amazing experience. The communication with the receptionist particularly and appointment management was great. But the aftercare and the quality disappointed me so much. I believe to have enough experience here to tell the truth, 3 ear piercings, one on nose and another one on lip. Almost half of them had infection seriously afterwards that took me like forever to heal. I even gave up 2 of them because of the inconvenience and how gross the wounds looked at that time. The stuffs were cleaned very professionally no doubt, but the jewelry the technician put on me so tightly, really harshly even though I have pretty high pain tolerance. I tried to contact them several times to make it works and fixed but nope, no reply :)). Poor customer aftercare service. Warning for newbies for this game bc it will hurt u so badly here as well as your body is sensitive w outsider iron.

Really clean and well run shop. Thomas did an excellent job with my tattoo. During the consultation he really took the time to make sure we were on the same page, and that the final result reflected what I was hoping for. At the actual tattoo appointment, he explained what he was doing each step of the way and made sure it stayed true to the original plans. 100% positive experience. Will be coming back

Ive had great experiences here. Once to switch out jewelry in a piercing and the other to pick out some spirals for my ears. The piercers are great at putting you at ease and are patient with people who have lots of questions. Front desk is always friendly when Ive been visiting. The shop is spotlessly clean and my only reason for giving it a 4/5 is that although the jewelry selection is amazing and beautiful its very pricey. Otherwise Id recommend everyone coming here for their body mod needs.

Laughing Buddha was extremely easy to contact and set-up an appointment for piercings. I did most of it online and then went in the next day. Store is super clean and comfortable and everyone was very helpful. I believe I saw Colin and he was awesome. Not a huge fan of needles but he made the process quick and painless. Also they are very big on cleanliness and being very sterile with all their tools etc. Will def go back.

First piercing in over a decade and Lil’ John was great. Very clean and professional and the studio is beautiful. Definitely would recommend 👍

I went yesterday for a Rook piercing. Colin is incredibly nice and calm which eased my nerves. He is obviously very experienced and is thoughtful about how he approaches each piercing. The experience was about as easy and painless as it gets, which speaks to his expertise in his craft. The front desk staff was also very friendly and helpful. I will be going back to laughing buddha for my next piercing 100%!

Got my P.A. there and they were great. I was a walk in and they answered my questions really well. Lil John was awesome as well. Walked me through the procedure and was just really great in general.Will definitely be going for any of my other piercing needs.

I think that this place has the greatest inventory of jewelry, especially BVLA. I wish they wouldnt have suggested that the smallest size ring for my septum would be too small because the one I got that was second smallest is not fitting on me the way I wanted it to. I wonder if being a petite woman is so uncommon that they were not aware an adult could have a smaller sized nose, but oh well I guess I will wait until I can afford a nice piece again in the far future. They were very nice and did their best to help me.

The shop an all of the people in it are wonderful! Super-friendly greeting from everyone when you walk in the door. I bought some jewelry, but they were busy so I took it home to put in. They said if I had any trouble with doing it myself to come back the next day and they’d take care of it. I did, and I did. Double-checked everything to make sure I was good to go! So nice and professional. Definitely recommend!

Great for kids.Took my 6 year old daughter there for ear piercing. The staff was awesome and very kind, the end results were great too.

I had a great experience getting my ears pierced here, even when I had an issue with my piercing they were willing to help me figure out a solution. The jewelry is beautiful and the quality seems nice! Highly recommend it for piercings!!
