I bought my boat from the Fife location six years ago and had amazing experience ! The service department is top notch, they are the only ones I like working on my boat. Julia is so attentive and friendly and always follows up with me on every detail. Bob is a great boat mechanic, he knew right away what was wrong with my Mercury engine and fixed the problem immediately. Highly recommend them for boat purchases and service.
Joan Campbell is awesome! She was so patient with us as we picked out our dream MasterCraft! Everything went exactly how she said it would from the beginning of our order to delivery. Her communication and estimates on timing were spot on! Thank you Joan and the entire staff at Union Marine for a fantastic buying experience yet again! We cant wait for Joan to teach us her wake surfing skills. 😎
I wish I could this give this dealer a 0 star review. The sales manager, whos name I believe is Kurt met up with me and my wife to show a boat in Kirkland. Their website stated that the boat was in pristine condition, however, when we got there, he decided it was time to share that one of the engines was broken. Im sure this isnt the only boat they lie about - I would stay away from this dealer. I made the time to meet up the useless and pathetic sales person for a garbage boat. Thanks a lot Union Marine - GLAD TO NOT BE MAKING BUSINESS WITH YOU.
Just bought a consignment boat from Scott Kay at Union Marine. Process was very smooth and friendly. The boat was pretty in demand and I was lucky to contact Scott early. He could have likely sold the boat for more but kept with order of contact, netting me a great boat at a very fair price. Would absolutely go to them again.
Shady sales team. Do not trust what their website says about their vessels
From the moment our family walked through the doors at Seattle Union Marine to consider if buying a boat was right for us, Mark Lawton has been the finest example of a salesperson we have ever encountered. The fact that Mark genuinely cares about customer satisfaction is an understatement. He is kind with an easygoing personality, experienced in the sale and actual construction of watercraft, honest, transparent, exceedingly helpful, pleasant, and demonstrates patience with his clients that can meet anyones highest expectations. In our opinion, Marks greatest assets are his ability to build trusting relationships and to instill confidence in the consumer that he is readily available and fully able to handle any issues during the decision making process and long after the purchase is made. Moreover, he diligently accommodates his clients, so much so, that we felt that we were being treated like family members. Furthermore, we found every encounter with all of the personnel at Seattle Union Marine including the receptionist, the sales force, the business team, the management, and the service department to be pleasant and hassle free. It is clear that the customer comes first is more than a motto, it is what everyone at Seattle Union Marine actually believes and puts into practice at every opportunity. And, for all these reasons and more, buying our boat was a pleasure. To those who read this review, please take our comments seriously as we are self proclaimed high maintenance consumers and have very high expectations, all of which were far exceeded by Seattle Union Marine and, most importantly, by Mark Lawton.
Needing some help from a licensed boat dealer, I reached out to union marine. While it quickly became clear my interaction wouldnt result in a sale and fell outside their standard line of work, their salesman Mark Lawton went absolutely out of his way to get me the help I needed. These are the kind of people I would trust while buying a boat.
After seeing the 2020 Sea Ray lineup at the Seattle Boat Show I decided to trade in my Chaparral for a new Sea Ray. At the boat show Steve was extremely patient with me and my family (young kids wanting to touch everything). He had all the answers to our endless questions and never put any pressure on us to buy a boat. When we showed up at Union Marine Seattle a few months later, with more questions, Steve was happy to help. He actually seemed just as excited about us getting a new boat as we were. From start to finish the process was very smooth and all the staff at Union Marine went out of their way to make certain we had everything we needed. They really paid attention to all the details and everyone was genuinely excited for us. The guy that cleaned the boat up for us did a great job! Jeff in service was very friendly and helpful in quoting us for some upgrades. Sandy in finance was very friendly and gave us several loan options with great rates! Gail, our delivery captain, was very thoughtful and thorough in teaching us about all 10,000 features on the boat. Union Marine even let us use their dock for 3 days while we waited to get into the new slip we bought. One of those days were beautiful and we wanted to take the boat out. Kurt helped us out with that. He even gave us his cell number to call in case we needed anything. We ended up getting back after the store closed due to a line at the locks and when we called Kurt he had already left, but immediately offered to come back down to the store to help us get tied up and let us out the gate. It’s so hard to find quality customer service like this anymore! I couldn’t be happier with everything and I really feel like my family has been warmly welcomed into the Union Marine family. We will absolutely come back to them for all service and to upgrade to an even bigger boat in a few years.
We just bought our first Boat. This was the most enjoyable purchasing experience we have ever had. Not knowing much about boating we had a lot of apprehension. Joan and Wade were absolutely fantastic. After setting up time with us to get the boat on the water for a test drive they spent several hours answering our questions and making sure we were getting the right boat for our needs. To make things even better once we purchased the boat they Met us out at the lake to make sure we knew how to get the boat on and off the trailer as well as how to operate it on the water. They absolutely went above and beyond. We have have had the boat now for two weeks, and both have reached out to make sure everything has been going well. I without a doubt would recommend shopping with them! Top shelf service all the way around. We have since gone back in and purchased boards and other boating equipment from their storefront. Every person we have interacted with there has been amazing. UNION MARINE FOR THE WIN!
Steve Thoreson is THE guy to work with here. Maybe others are good too but I bought a used boat from Steve and not only was he incredibly helpful before the sale but he has been equally helpful after the sale. He has been assisting me with finding moorage, some minor repairs that were needed and tips for Do-It-Yourself boat care. This has all happened after the sale. During the sales process he did not use any manipulative or dime-a-dozen sales tactics. He sought to understand, to listen and to help.I employ about 20 salespeople and appreciate great salesmanship (people seeking a win-win) when I see it. Steve is a standout professional and a hell of a good guy.
I bought my first boat this year from Lake Union Sea Ray, and the experience has been great. They educated me, trained me, worked with me patiently to find the best fit boat and upgrades. They went above and beyond after the sale to help me when I needed it, and ensure that warranty items are fixed promptly. Super focused on customer sat, which I need and appreciate in this category more than any other. Im going to be a long-term customer of theirs...
Bought Searay in 2019, because the salesman docked the boat incorrectly and the boat sank in two weeks after the delivery without any use. I lost the lawsuit but I do think this is a bad company. Now I bought a Yamaha boat, it is great.
Excellent experience and staff.
From Victoria, BC, I bought a used boat from Union Marine in Seattle. The level of support this dealership gave was amazing. Salesman Kurt Gellerman was outstanding - very responsive to all my questions & concerns and understanding of the challenges faced by a foreign buyer. Great experience!
Im updating and upgrading my initial review after finally getting the boat demo, third time must have been a charm. The sales person showed up on time, demo was fine and well presented. They can be excused for problems below, but would still suggest paying closer attention to the details of communication with a prospective customer. All in all, they seemed to do fine.Well, so far a really lame experience. Had an on-water boat demo lined up for yesterday, about 5 minutes before due to show at our dock (all they have to do is drive it over here on the water, skip the traffic!) got a call that the boat had a mechanical issue, demo cancelled. Rescheduled for today 5 pm. At 5:15, when nobody had shown up - or called - we called only to find out from a receptionist that the boat wasnt ready.. sales guy never called to let us know. NOT appreciated, and if this is an example of their service when trying to make a sale - what can we expect after the sale is made? Maybe Cobalt looking better and better.
The best place to go if youre a boating lover! They are some great people and know their boating business! Im coming for that 50 Yacht soon as I got the lotto so make sure its washed & detailed❤!
Had a great time at Union Marine’s Mastercraft demo day last weekend. Joan and Wade are so knowledgeable about their boats and water sports and, most importantly, love sharing their passion with others. Looking forward to learning and shredding at future demos and clinics!! Have an epic summer....
Recently purchased a used Boston Whaler Dauntless 180. Scott Kay did an amazing job before and after the sale. Treated my little purchase as if it were a multimillion dollar yacht sale. Will definitely use them in the future.
Friendly helpfull customer service. Financial services was slow as molasses. They need help or a different financial guy.
This review is for Joan in sales at Union Marine Seattle. If you are looking to buy a Mastercraft (or deciding between it or a competitor), I d highly recommend you go talk with Joan. She was extremely knowledgeable, low pressure, and patient with us newbies :-) She was so kind and fun to work with- and believe me, she went above and beyond helping out before, during, AND AFTER the sale.Ive contacted her several times with questions that had to do with the boat, or sometimes not directly with the boat like wakeboarding gear or even technique. She never once made me feel like I was bothering her (even when I called her we were having trouble launching the boat on a Sunday evening) Shes graciously helped out with questions that were definitely not her job to do so.Delivery of the boat was a super fun day- and Joan spent as much time with us until we felt comfortable operating the boat for all the different sports and settings. She got in the water and showed us how to surf and taught us and our child how to get up. She worked with us to find how to secure it to the dock so the boat would be safe and protected, and made sure we knew how to operate the boat.I may be writing a separate review for service, which Ive had done at a different Union Marine location, but this review I would give more stars if I could. Joan is a gem, and Union Marine is lucky to have her- and if you buy a Mastercraft you will be too.
Dont run away, jet ski way as fast as you can. The lies their sales people are probably trained to tell, will waist your time and patience. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!
Kurt Gellermann did a great job helping us find the perfect boat for us!
Honest guys. Good service shop. Can drop boat at dock for service.
I just ordered parts and they were really helpful. Gave me some pointers on installation. Also, I mistakenly wrote a negative review about these guys a few weeks ago that was intended for Sea Ray of Fife. Very sorry for the mistake Searay!! The Fife store really is awful and Im never going there again but so far my experience with the Seattle store is very positive.
Scott Kay was very instrumental of helping us choose the perfect boat for our family. He makes sure that we connect to the right people for our needs and everyone in the parts and service department are a pleasure to deal with.
I want to thank Jace Romine who was my first point of contact at Lake Union Sea Ray. He got me in touch with Kirk Benson who introduced me to Steve Thoreson my salesman for the purchase of my 2007 Crownline 255 CCR. They made the buying process a pleasure and were very patient with me and considerate of my time constraints in getting my survey and sea trial arranged. Also, a shout out to David Jenkins the business manager who got me through the paperwork and the rest of the staff who were friendly and helpful. It was great doing business with Lake Union Sea Ray.Many Thanks,Tony M. Smith
Insanely high price for boat fix estimate. Waste of time and money!
Great boats quality crafted boats
If I could give the service department at Lake Union Sea Ray 6 stars I would do so without hesitation. The service manager there, Jace Romine, is just wonderful to work with.During a windy day, I picked up a floating rope in my props which in turn took out both outdrives requiring over $20K to repair. Needless to say I was so sick about it that I couldnt think straight. The service manager, Jace Romine, calmed me down and proceeded to handle everything with my insurance company with the result that, except for a small deductible, the replacement of both outdrives was covered. As for quality of work, I could find nothing done incorrectly!!! Nobody but Lake Union Sea Ray is going to touch my boat from this point on. THANK YOU, JACE!!!
Things are getting better here and they are busting their ass to be top notch service providers. Ive had some rough experiences here in terms of scheduling and communication over the last year. In the last 6 months I can say these guys have gone above beyond to make things right. From doublechecking what I percieved to be a problem for free and fixing my mistake to shuttling my boat from dock for me.Tips to Sea Ray (caution to others): Dont take in a boat if you cant work on it for 2 weeks, have your client on call and then go get their boat for them (if thats possible). In my case the boat was drivable so missing 2 weeks of our short season was irritating. Rant over, Ill be going back to these guys. Their effort to do right is half the battle and theyre getting that. As far as I can tell their technical knowledge is great too.
I bought my boat at Lake Union Searay in 2000, I love the boat, The salesman who sold it to me was a nice guy. However the service department is another issue. In 2001, they put the wrong anodes on my outdrives causing corrosion that I had to have repaired. In 2003, while working on the boat, made a hole in the fiberglass with a tool and I had to vigorously deny it was me. I then swore off them unless it was really necessary. Fast forward to last year, a seal in my outdrive leaked. They fixed it only to have it leak again and they had to fix it again. Later in the year, I needed them to reprogram the ECU, they tech couldnt do it, so instead of issuing a refund, they gave me a credit on the account. Then recently they were supposed to do a diagnoses on one of my motors that was under warranty. They did not fully complete the diagnose and a Mercury marine representative voided the warranty because it had an after market part on it that was installed as part of the new engine package from another dealer. Yet they charged me $328.00 for the pleasure.
Lack of communication by Nikki.Poor business transaction on the boat sale & it has not been finalized yet.
They have been incredible.
Their boats might be okay bit I have not had good experiences with their staff ever. Poor service dept and sales guys I dont trust. Plus they are condescending to everyone.
High pressure sales rhetoric... keep clear!
Spoke with Jake On the phone no pressure great to work with...
Ordered wrong parts numerous times.
