The definition of old money. One of the oldest beer bars in the country. They may not have an overwhelming selection like Chucks, but better curated and more diverse beers you can’t find anywhere else. Always a must stop for beer nerds coming through Seattle.
Good beer selection, microbrew draft bar. Dark, atmospheric, sometimes intimate (i.e. limited seating). Not as many beer purchase choices as Chucks Hop Shop, but more than larger local grocery stores. You can either choose from their small draft selection, or purchase and drink any can or bottle beer they carry on-premises. An array of most types of beer and right next to Wine Cellars if youd like to one stop shop for both.
Unbelievable selection of rare and limited release beers. The guy working stayed back a while to give us recommendations.
Great bottle shop with all of your favorite breweries and an impressive international beer line up. Oh and underbergs!!
Just got a great Christmas present from here, 6 pack of craft beers. Trevor was working and he was hospitable and had something unique to say about each beer I chose. Very knowledgeable and friendly!!5 stars!!
Pandemic drop in...Bottleworks at 17Feb21 is order online pick up only. But the door was open so I wandered in uninvited......a helpful employee asked my preferences and chose for me two exceptional beers for me and sent me on my way. Five cat paws up
Great selection of drinks, cool interior and helpful staff. I came here a lot before the pandemic. They now have a $5 handling fee regardless of order size, so keep that in mind. However, it 100% of it goes to the employees, so Im all for it.Thanks for the reply owners! Appreciate you guys taking care of your employees, that means a lot.
Good selection, rotating tap list.
I was on my way to Bottleworks I called and they said were closing but will stay for you I got my bear and when I left went to get in my car and I did not have my credit card on me there have been fraudulent charges on my credit card Chevron for a dollar shelf for $24 QFC $600 QFC $300 KFC $154 do you have Qfc322.53 And $154.12 QFCI Noon before I got my car that my card was not with me my Costco card and so I was called today with all these charges of fraud on my card I know I left in the stores so the guy was so nice stay open for me and I don’t know if there is somebody there cleaning out grab my card but I didn’t drop it in the parking lot I know I left in the store I felt bad and I didn’t want to go in the store I was hoping I’d throw it in my purse and I haven’t found it so now we know what happened to it it going to QFC for camera look at thieves
Epic beer selection. Great service. Easy to order ahead via website
They no longer full growlers. Sad times.
I finally found Gigantic Massive! this place is awesome! Also its the only place I can think of where you can purchase cellared beers.
Helpful staff, great beer selection including some hard to find and cellared stuff and competitive prices.
Great selection of international beers. Amazing stuff on tap. Knowledgeable staff. Relaxed place to try out the inventory. Whats not to like?
Trevor was the person working when I arrived here. Friendly enough, reserved enough to make an introvert feel comfortable. A group needed his attention. He handled it professionally. Im going to bring my wife here so she can try the rare and wonderful beers here. Comfortable space and amazing variety.
Just discovered the fantastic selection of gluten free beer! So happy to be able to drink beer again. They also have a great selection of other beers, a local, grungy vibe, and excellent personal service.
Dropped in today and was impressed with the selection. Bottles to go, or enjoyed on premises with a corking fee. Attentive and knowledgeable service without being overbearing.
I love this place. Havent been in for years because of traveling but same friendly knowledgeable service as always! Scored some great IPAs
Friendly staff and wide selection of beers. Not many non-IPAs to choose from, but decent selection nonetheless. They also offer corkage, in addition to several choices on tap, if you want to enjoy your hand picked selection of beverages there.
Selection is truly amazing, staff is great and knowledgeable, theres even parking most times! Support local businesses! 🍻
An incredible beer and cider selection, affordable prices and low corkage fees in an intimate atmosphere. You can bring your own food to enjoy there, and its dog friendly.
Great place to find beers that youd probably have to go to the brewery itself to buy. They have a good selection. A little beer for every taste too, lots of IPAs but there are plenty of other options as well.
Very impressive selection and very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Im from out of town and I just let the lady lead me around the store recommending various beers for me to check out.
I needed to get a variety of beers for my son who lives in Japan. They helped me find a very nice selection of beers to bring over to him. They were extremely helpful.
Great selection of beer. I appreciate the staff, they arent pushy at all and if you have a question about something they are super helpful. They allow outside food as long as youre tidy. Just an overall very chill place.
Small, dark, and packed to the brim with case after case of good beer (or bier, as they would have it), Bottleworks is buried treasure for the more refined drinkers among us. Between the vast selection and the informed expertise of the employees, you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for (assuming youre looking for beer, that is).Pro tip: they offer a nice selection of rotating taps in the back, to be imbibed on-site or taken home as a growler. Often these beers can be a little on the expensive side, especially when youre only getting 10oz or 12oz in return. But fear not, for although they dont advertise it, they will usually sell you a half-glass of anything 12oz or less.
Great selection of beer from all over!
Old school beer shop. They got what you need.
Great selection. Good amount of rare and aged beers. A few good tap handles to enjoy a beer while you shop.
Its as if Comic Book Guy from The Simpsons opened a bottle shop. Expect a similar attitude from the staff and *aherm* similar level of cleanliness. The owners response to Taylor McKinneys review offers insight into how Bottleworks has reached such a lofty pinnacle through (20) years of shaming customers for not knowing as much as they think that they do. After all, its just beer, which is why Im going to write an essay in response to a five star review, or hang up on someone calling to dare ask for a beer out of season, or glare at customers for walking in the door.Every Seattle beer geek has a Bottleworks story, your rite of passage awaits!
I went in here with my beer wishlist to see if they had some hard-to-find brews. The guy running the place was able to tell me when the seasonal ones would come out, and which ones were going to be localized to a few select states. They also have a great selection with a lot of variety.
Good selection and nice staff other than the manager. Asked a question about a limited beer I was looking for and was told to come back the following day to speak with the manager. Upon my return visit the “manager” was very rude and unprofessional. As an out of town visitor big into supporting local breweries, bottle shops and a homebrewer of 10 years it hurts seeing this negativity in the beer community.
A great bottle shop with about a dozen taps in the back. Small space, but they make it work. Good selection of beers, probably the best place to buy beer in the neighborhood. Easy to get to on the 62 and 44 buses.
Great little place with a good selection. They have some limited release as well as other more well known regional craft beers. The guy serving was very knowledgeable about his inventory. This is my kind of place, buy a pint and a 4-pack and move on.
Great low key vibe, chill knowlegeable staff. Not the biggest selection but what they have is top notch. Nearly as many Belgian and German brews as local NW picks.
Great local beer store with so many micro-breweries! You can drink it there or take it with
Amazing beer selection and probably the best cider offerings in the city.
Amazing selection of beer! Always good to see the people that run the place!
Being from out of state, we sought out this shop based on the description on-line. We were expecting more of a selection of beers from the description on the internet. Perhaps the number 950+ beers refers to the individual bottle count rather than variety offered? Staff was not overly helpful with our requests nor very welcoming.
Pick a bottle of nice beer and have a good time.
Great little place with a very knowledgeable staff and fun place to try some local craft beers and cider
Top notch!!!! If your in the area its a hole in the wall thats not to be passed up. Also Archie mcfees gag shop is just a few blocks down the road. You will have a good time in this area!
I am so pleasantly surprised with this place. It is bigger and a lot nifty-er than it seems from the outside. I had been meaning to go here for months; I finally stepped in on a Saturday and found myself picking out more beer bottles than I could carry. It doesnt matter what you like in a beer, Bottleworks has it, plus 3 other varieties.
Its a good specialty beer store, plenty of selections. But the people running it really made me feel like I was putting them out by asking for recommendations fitting my general tastes. I might go back, but probably not.
Great spot to be able to try one beer instead of having to commit to a 6 pack. Had a pretty solid variety of beer too.
Cool store. Found some great craft and import beers for my trip to Seattle.
This is one of my a favorite bottle shops in Seattle. The selection is great, the atmosphere is fun and the staff there are very knowledgeable about beer. The only negative thing about this place is when they added the taps and it took away some of the precious space. But all said and done this is a great place to shop for beer and socialize.
As as beer geek I found this place just not bad. They had a couple of good taps and several bottles, but thats it.
Wide selection and good deals on singles. Great for trying new beers and ciders. Very helpful staff, and a nice atmosphere and crowd at this Wallingford staple. This is the place to come to for growler fills at a decent price.
This is your destination to go for beer in Seattle: rare findings, collectibles, exclusives and great taps. All staff is exceptional and very helpful. Brought to you by the same owners of Brouwers Cafe & Burgundian.
SUPERB collection of beers! Different kinds and styles from all over the world! Nice informative staff!
Great service and amazing beer selection. Brought our food in and enjoyed a beer. Knowledgeable staff. Great find if you like good beer.
Great gluten free selection, great staff and no distracting tvs. Perfect for conversation and meeting locals.
Great beer selection and super friendly staff
Such a great selection! Love the ambience.
Best local craft beer store
Super helpful staff and amazing selection of local IPA.
Need a gift for the beer lover in your life? Bottle works experts can help you find the perfect brew.
Super duper variety and great casual seating to enjoy. This is a museum of beers - old ones and new.
They know their selection well and always hassle free, never nagging you to buy.
Lots of craft beers from all over. I go here whenever I want to try some new things.
Great variety of beers, awesome service.
My favorite place in town to get a drink. Has an amazing selection and very helpful staff to help you with any questions.
Great staff, good selection but not the best.
Huge variety of beers. Good customer service.
Love their selection of beer from all over the world. If you like obscure brews, youll likely find it here.
Chill place, huge selection of beer. Bring your own food.
Amazing beer selection, really sweet collection of rare beer, great draft selection
Amazing selection, found beer I didnt know I could get in WA.
One of favorite place for quick and inexpensive drinks.
Good bottle selection, but damn its dark in there!
Good variety of beers, knowledgeable staff, small tasting area.
Great that they had Leffe Brun but they didnt say they didnt have a full 6 pack! Hope they can restock cos Brun is the best!
Amazing selection of beers, and strong taplist
Seattles original bottle shop, since 1999. Many fine beers and vintages.
Its a craft-beer and wine store. Nothing particularly special. Make sure you have plenty of money in your debit account.
Great selection of obscure foreign beers.
Cozy bottleshop with a decent selection a few taps. Can drink while shopping
One of the best craft beer stores in Seattle. Follow their blog for latest shipments.
Fantastic selection, fair prices.
Sure, you might find cheaper, cleaner, more friendly bottleshops with a better solution of beers and taps, but theyre not old school; not in Fremont/Wallingford! Heck, I bet they arent even near Archie McPhee.Bottleworks is fine, but there are now better options in Seattle. Check out Chucks 85th or in the Central district. Full Throttle is also an option. The Beer Authority? Yep! Heck, even a stop by Bobs Liquors.Growler prices are a bit high here; bottle prices are about par. Theres an okay section, but the store is tiny. Prepare to feel judged by the staff as well. Its worth dropping in if youre hunting something specific.
Great neighborhood beer store and bar. Xlnt selection
Lots of different beers you cant buy many other places locally.
Love this place, great beer selection
Fantastic Bottleshop for those hard to find beers
Ten years Ive been a customer and I still find something new to try every time
Fantastic selection. Staff knowledgeable and helpful.
Very interesting spot!
Best bottle shop in the area
Awesome bottle shot, great owners and employees
Good beer selection with some taps
Good selection of beers from around the world
Great selection for the beer nerd
Great craft selection
Friendly staff and A HUGE selection!! No liquor, though, only beer and ciders.
Amazing beer selection!
Good spot
Selection was average and worker wasnt very helpful.
