Great spot to grab some artisan sourdough bagels made fresh each day. I ordered the open faced lox bagel and the avacodo and egg sandwich both on everything bagels. The bagels were richly flavored with a perfect amount of chew. Picked up a chocolate sea salt and got it toasted and was not dissatisfied in the slightest.

Overall, great bagel sandwiches! If you are a lox bagel fan, then their lox bagel is worth a try. They put more-than-enough dose of cream cheese under the lox, which was bit overwhelming for me (I ended up saving half to use on a separate toasted bagel, so I dont complain). You can even add salmon roe on the lox, which I recommend if you are that person who craves ikura sushi.

Fantastic bagels and fantastic coffee!Great service as well. My wife and I got the Lox open face bagel, and the cheddar jalapeño with goat cheese, and these were both FANTASTIC. The Lox portions were surprisingly generous. Also, two soy lattes, one decaf one not. THE COFFEE WAS FANTASTIC- Even the decaf was great!! Very rare awesomeness at this place.

I can give Rubinstein’s 2 stars for their truffle cream cheese alone. It was the only good thing to come out of my experience. I came in on National Bagel Day. I found Rubinstein Bagel’s on a New Jersey bloggers list of the best bagels in Seattle. Having lived in NYC for 5 years with the BEST bagels in the country I trusted her judgment and recommendations- she listed Rubinstein’s as #1. First of all there were maybe 4 people ahead of us waiting for their orders and we still waited 10-15 min for our order- 2 bagels with cc and 2 bagel sandwiches. The first thing I noticed when I unwrapped my bagel was how SMALL it was. Basically it’s small enough to fit in the palm of your hand. Then I bit into the bagel. It required so much chewing that my jaw was uncomfortable. I don’t know if that’s because my bagels were made first and sat for 10 min while waiting for my husbands bagel sandwiches or not... but still no excuse for hard bagels. One of the bagels I ordered was the chocolate chip. The salt was so overpowering in the bagel that I couldn’t even taste the chocolate chip flavor. My husband’s sandwiches both had the skimpiest amount of meat on them- see picture. Basically half of each sandwich had almost no meat entirely! Save your money and time and try a different bagel place. So disappointed.

I went on a Saturday morning and it was SUPER busy. There were probably 15+ people ahead of us and it took about 25 mins to receive our order. Given the wait, the small bagels were disappointing with their gluttonous plop of cream cheese oozing out of every side. The texture is hard to describe; the exterior is crispy, yet the inside is quite chewy. It was quite the workout and thankfully brought my husband one step closer to having the square jawline every girl dreams of. I found the Everything bagel too salty and overpowered the other toppings. Given the wait and underwhelming experience, Id skip coming here again.

Update: the crowds on the weekend are out of control lately, and I noticed that the bagels also seem to have gotten a lot smaller since the first few times I’ve visited. They already weren’t the biggest bagels I’ve seen, especially when compared to New York bagels, so it’s a bummer to see them get even smaller now. 😕***Super helpful and friendly staff at the new Via6 location! A great selection of bagels and schmears are available—have tried most of them and they are all excellent, but a personal favorite is the salted rosemary with onion and chive schmear. 🥯👌

These bagels just straight up are not good. The crust is impenetrable, and when you finally do get a bite, the dough is chewy to a fault. They are also pretty overcooked.Staff was perfectly friendly and prices are a bit higher than they should be. I guess this is what you get for downtown bagels.

Bagels are great and worth trying.3 stars really is because the pick up process is terrible. Here’s been my experience: order online, ready in 10 minutes—nice and fast! Get there and go to the left counter where orders are getting called out, they say they don’t have mine and to check the front register. Look over at the front register and it has a massive line— so I have to wait through that to get my order that’s already made? “Yep”. Can’t you just run over and grab it? “Nope”. Ok… so I have to wait in line for 20 minutes for an order that was placed and already made.I’m really not sure why the online and in person orders aren’t handed out in the same place.

We were not super impressed with these bagels. We got the Everything, Garlic, and Sesame, and while the toppings were pretty good, the bagels themselves were way too dense and chewy. We decided that these were not the traditional, NY-style bagels we prefer. Even from the first day it felt like the bagels were super dense. Meanwhile, they are fairly small compared to other bagels Im used to. So, just a warning - for people seeking a traditional bagel, these are not it.

Best bagels I’ve ever had! Had the salted bagel with bacon, egg and cheese this morning. It was divine! It was a beautiful bagel with impressive flavor. We came back to try other flavors and they are all excellent! The lox is amazing! There is a cozy fireplace and ample seating for social distancing.Buyers note: these bagels are made with fresh organic ingredients. There aren’t preservatives in them. They are absolutely best the day you get them and second best the next day. After that they are sub-par. Buy what you can eat in one day. Grocery store bagels can last a long time in the fridge but that’s because of preservatives. These bagels are perfection but only are perfect the day you buy them.

I wish they didnt charge extra for vegan milks. The line is long and slow. The seating is limited. There are a lot of good things to say about the ingredients they use here. I got a lox breakfast sandwich on an everything bagel, and the lox were delicious, as were the capers, lightly pickled onions, and cream cheese. They didnt hold back on the everything seasoning on the bagel, which I also quite appreciate. Unfortunately the bagel itself was just bad. It had an okay flavor, but was incredibly dense, and I could barely bite through the outer crust of the bagel (not from crispiness, just density). It literally made my jaw ache from chewing through half a bagel, and I was sore the next day. You can have all the best flavors, but if its serious work to eat I just dont want it :(

Had a horrible experience today it took them 30 minutes to cook a single item that I was picking up I sat at the counter and I waited and waited and waited in the item that was supposed to have the name called out when it got to the online order shelf was never announced out loud like the lady working at the counter said she would do for me but instead my item that was ordered sat on the shelf for another 10 minutes while the manager was walking around giving out free samples. He asked me if I wanted one and I said no I’d like to get my order and leave I’m in a loading zone because there was no parking anywhere else available and I’ve been here for over 20 minutes it took an additional five minutes for him to figure out where are the order was come to find out it was on the shelf the entire time for the last 10 minutesThe next time somebody comes into your establishment that’s never been there you might want to work on getting things out on time in correctly because that ultimately is going to determine if that person returns as a customers himself

Gotta be the best bagels in Seattle, I can’t get enough of them! Rubinstein’s can get pretty slammed on weekends, but definitely work the wait. We visited Rubinstein for the first time last week after moving to Seattle from the East coast. I must admit I had low expectations since we were used to eating the best bagels NYC has to offer (Leos, Best Bagel & coffee, etc). This place really surprised us! After hearing about Rubinstein from friends and a celebrity on the radio, my husband and I were excited to try them them. On Saturday afternoon, we placed online order on to be picked up at 9am on Sunday morning. My husband showed up at 9am and the order was ready. No line at all. He was in and out in less than 5 minutes. After returning home with the pastrami sandwich and a stash of bagels, we started to dig in. Boy were we disappointed! Being from New York and knowing great bagels, all I can say is that these were not even good. They were clearly 1-2 day old bagels. Not at all crisp (even though we had requested that the sandwich and one of the bagels be toasted), and very dense and chewy. They were better after we (re)toasted them at home, but not much so.The following day (Monday) we still had several bagels left over. Trying to cut through them was almost impossible. We ultimately ended up tossing the remainder of the bagels (approximately $40 worth) because there was nothing we could do to salvage them. We wont be returning.

Honestly, I really want to like this place, but bottom line, Rubinstein’s processes and procedures are very broken.TLDR; it took 47 minutes to get bagel with lox. And it was on the wrong bagel as well as the bagel wasn’t toasted.I have given this place 3 tries and it’s been rough all three times. At first I just chalked it up to growing pains and them needing to find their groove. Now I think they need a consult regarding their processes and possibly new management.I’m a resident in the building and I really want to like this place for the convenience, but every time I go, I regret it because of the unusually long wait times. There’s a woman who I assume is the manager as people seem to report to her (woman with glasses) and she has been rude on more than one occasion to both customers and staff. Maybe she’s just overwhelmed. The staff don’t seem cohesive. No one is happy, smiling, or excited. The manager doesn’t seem to want to be there or be “dealing with anything” and I think that shows and trickles down. The bagels are as people say. They are small, very tough, and usually way over seasoned. However, that doesn’t necessarily make them bad. They are definitely unique. They have unique flavors and shmears, which is appealing. They definitely don’t taste bad. But factoring that in very long waits and the poor service, there’s less forgiveness and tolerance for quality issues. Especially for a premium price. A very premium price. It’s to the point now that it’s far more convenient (for about the same price), to order in, than to simply walk downstairs. It’s actually much cheaper and easier or go a few blocks to Einstein’s Bros bagels, than to just go downstairs and wait. That’s saying a lot.I hope this place figures it out. There is potential. But right now, it’s pretty rough. I’ll try back in a few months and hopefully they have taken some steps to correct the inefficiencies and issues.I can’t see a scenario where almost an hour wait for a bagel with nothing cooked or heated, is understandable or justified. It just highlights how broken the processes are.
