Good salad and coffee. Prompt courteous service. Not too crowded.

Ive been about 7 or 8 times since moving back in april 2021. The place has good drinks and food. I like that they change seasonal style beverages fairly frequently as well. The assortment is pretty wide and prices are high but fair for the area. The staff are friendly and kind and honestly the best thing about the place.The con that gets me is the wait times. Industry standard for coffee is usually under 5 minutes, or 5-10. This place averages 10-20. I still like the place and will go back but I think they should hire more staff or work on improving the processes to decrease wait times. Theyve been training people a few times Ive gone in, which either is due to college workers just working summer jobs or maybe a toxic work environment. Hopefully the former.

Great spot to study or work. I enjoyed my time there, it wasn’t very busy and music wasn’t too loud. Perfect!

They are very nice here and the coffee is very smooth in flavor. I feel like you get real quality here so I will be a repeat customer. Other shops in the area dont compare for me. The manager is extremely friendly too which always makes for a homey feel.

Miss Sandra Joe approves of this amazing coffee shop!. We love how they have alternative milks even for hot chocolate! She had scrambled eggs with avocado and fresh pressed orange juice for breakfast. Also had a chocolate chip cookie afterwards with oatmilk hot cocoa!

Really nice and friendly place. Coffee is great, personal is amazing and helpful. Restroom is available (helpful for people who have an appointment with nearby vet clinic)

Highly recommend stopping by Local Coffee Spot I just walked over for lunch, and just asked what item on their menu had the most food and they proceeded to ask me what I liked, and whipped me up an absolutely awesome breakfast burrito (hopefully theyre not mad that Im telling everyone about such a custom order ;) )I also ordered an oat milk latte, and they put a little cinnamon in it......... a very welcome surprise; that was the best oat milk latte Ive ever had.5/5. Very happy with such friendly service! Will be attending again real soon.

I ordered a large black coffee and a bacon/english muffin breakfast sandwich. Was asked 16 or 20 oz - whatever large is. Was asked room for cream - black means no cream. Then I got my sandwich. It was a charred hockey puck that tasted terrible and had the consistency of cardboard. Lets try harder people!

Ordered the salted caramel cold brew. Love my caramel flavoring, so this was great. Really hit the spot! Friendly staff and quick service.

I spent over 45 minutes in line at another nameless popular cafe just down the street only for them to close earlier than their listed hours. I walked down to the street to Local Coffee Spot and I was able to grab a table, tea, and food without waiting in line. And the service was great too.

So this happened while trying to order a chicken salad sandwhich at lunch today.Me: what do you put in your chicken salad?Cafe Employees: looking at me blanklyMe: Is it just the mayonnaise and chicken or do you add any other fixings such as celery, walnuts or whatnot?Cafe Employees: We dont put mayonnaise on our salads, just lettuce tomatoes and dressing.Me: I am referring to the chicken salad sandwich on ciabata bread on the menu.Cafe Employees: Yeah, just lettuce tomatoes and dressing.Me: Im referring to chicken salad for a sandwich like tuna salad but made with chicken.Cafe Employees: just staring at each other long silence. Yeah, just lettuce tomatoes and dressing. We can onions I you want.Me: OK, well I am not sure thats the type of chicken salad sandwich youre advertising on the menu, have a nice day.Back at the office eating a frozen dinner now.

Had one of the best tasting dirty chais in a very long time. Friendly and funny staff. The bagel was delicious!

Their own website ordering system doesnt alert employees theres an order waiting, which makes ordering in advance pointless, which is frustrating when in a rush. However, they have great coffee and amazing breakfast burritos.

Ordered coffee and breakfast sandwiches. I got the Tomato Basil egg and cheese croissant and egg sausage with cheese bagel. My croissant had no Tomato and the wrong kind of bagel for the sandwich. Disappointed when it all costs so much and you don’t get the order correct.

Food and coffee were good, staff was nice, but their online order system really doesn’t work well. Had to wait 25 minutes for a bagel after had already gotten a text stating the order was ready

I ordered the BLT recently and it was below average compared to when I had ordered it a month ago. I was disappointed with the inconsistency. The sandwich was lacking contents, needed a little more of each component to make it more robust. I had also added avocado but it was missing, By that time I was too far to provide feedback. I was less enthused about my experience since I didn’t get what I paid for.

Cute cafe, friendly staff, good wifi. The only reason I didn’t give a fifth star was that the table was super sticky.

Oh how sweet this place is! Happy to have it re-opened in SLU and a new and improved version of cherry street with far better food!

Waited over 20 minutes for a black and white mocha with oat milk that tastes like watered down hot chocolate. Got a “chicken salad sandwich” that was literally just Caesar salad on ciabatta. Super disappointing. Was there for ten minutes before they even asked me what kind of bread I wanted for my sandwich. Would definitely not go back. There are a ton of other amazing cafes within blocks.

Google hours say 7am opening on Saturday.Door hours say 8am opening on Saturday.It’s 8:34am and no sign of opening.Now I’m sure it’s for some COVID reason that you’re closed, and that’s great— do everyone a favor and either update your hours or show up on time. Either way those are two things that take literally no skill whatsoever, just a lack of laziness.

This has happened a couple of times, they forgot the bacon I paid extra for on my sandwich :( Yummy sandwich but I wish I got what I paid for!!!!!

Everything was good except for the oatmeal it was cold and uncooked at the bottom.

No longer Cherry Street Coffee. Local Coffee Spot uses Caffe Vita coffee which is really good! However, the classic bagel breakfast sandwich is not as good as it used to be. The bagel was hardly cooked, very little garlic butter used, and barely any cheese. Disappointing as I used to LOVE the breakfast sandwiches.

Drinks on point and the service was incredible! Highly recommend!

This place is beyond excellence! The employees there were super helpful and I only have good things to say about them! I came in with a large order and they got everything done correctly and within reasonable time. The food portions are also very large and the seating area is very comfortable. I highly recommend this place!

The bagel sandwiches and coffee are delicious! I recommend the basil, tomato and cheese or bacon egg and cheese. YUM! The staff is friendly and fast.

The service at this location has gone steeply downhill since they switched from Cherry St. to Local. Poorly managed is an understatement. I live across the street and more times than not the service is extremely slow, they are understaffed, and nobody there is in charge. Went in for a coffee and bagel this morning and it took 30 minutes to get my order with only two people in front of me. If management reads this, please train your people to move the line. Stop having one new person there all by themselves who has no idea how to work quickly. I hardly ever see somebody working who seems to be in charge. Im sad to admit that Ive started going to Starbucks instead solely because its so much faster.

I am not a fan of the crowdedness of Seattle so when it started getting a bit much for my mom and I went into this coffee shop for a drink and bite to eat. Both of which were delicious along with amazing service! The place was also a bit crowded as well but not loud and it was a nice place to take a break and sit and visit. Will definitely return again.

The coffee was spectacular and the food was also good. The atmosphere was artistic industrial and the staff were polite and friendly.

Good food and great service. I come in every few weeks and have always been greeted by the nicest blonde boy who always brightens my evening. I am always served with delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere.

The location is beautifully decorated, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. There were multiple milk and alternative milk options available (including almond).The barista who took my order knew to not put smoothie powder (contains dairy) in my blended almond milk drink (this can be a common problem) and asked me if I was okay with the different texture. I appreciate that!There were a number of food and drink items on the menu, and I intend to come back and try out more.

The coffee was well balanced and vibrant but the service was lacking. The order was done to go even though we asked to stay in. The employees had their personal music playing quite loudly and left their mop in the centre of the bar area. The food was fresh and flavorful, certainly give it a try, just visit an alternate location.

Stopped here for lunch on weekday. Really good lunch options. Fresh salads and very nice looking gourmet veggie burger. Got a special they were serving that day - Persian stew. It was delicious! Service is quick and everything is clean.

Same great coffee and eats as other locations. Be aware their morning and lunch rushes can be nearly out the door, it is SLU after all.

Fast, tasty, and high quality. The drinks are at the perfect temperature to drink when they are served. Also great light fixtures.

Like most places in SELU, concrete abounds. If youre after a quiet meeting place its not the best option.Otherwise, everything is ship shape for a coffee shop.

This place is very aesthetically appealing, but the coffee isn’t anything special and I wouldn’t suggest trying the oat milk.

I dont like Victrola or Vivace but the espresso and caramel lattes here are smooth and balanced. Also every single Cherry Street coffee house has amazing chocolate banana bread!

Love this place, breakfast bagel and coffee for $12 thats made when I order it and tastes great. The staff is amazing and kind, couldnt as for a better morning stop to start the day.

It takes 5-15 minutes then to prepare a latte... Unfortunately this is the business district so everything else is closed on the weekend

Awesome breakfast sandwiches!! I wish they carried unsweetened soy milk. They told me it was unsweetened, but I could tell that it wasnt.

Great addition to the otherwise quiet area in northeast SLU. The team there is always super friendly and they make consistently high quality coffee. Ill be a regular here unless they give me a reason not to be.

We ordered three dishes and a soup. Tomato lentil soup was very good. Two Persian dishes were inauthentic and bad. They used ground meat for ghormeh sabzi and ghaimeh which is a big no no. The vegetables in ghormeh sabzi were not fried which is another no no. The meat in gyro sandwich was also ground which is inauthentic and a no no. I am not against ground meat but I dont think it should be used in wrong dishes. If you opt to use it, then dont call them khoresht gourmet sabzi or ghaimeh, or gyro. Or at least warn the customer by indicating on the menu.
