I really wanted to like this place because for the most part, the reviews are glowing, but it was a massive disappointment. The bagels themselves were stale and chewy to the point of struggling to get a bite off, not to mention the meat looked like something you’d get at McDonald’s and the cheese turned to sludge in your mouth; there was also a layer on the bottom of the disturbingly square-shaped egg that was the consistency of plastic and peeled off like it too, which I had to do in order to eat the thing, whilst the top of the egg was spongey and slimy.Having worked in a New York style bagel shop that prepared everything to order with fresh, house-made ingredients that were never frozen and fresh bagels made regularly throughout the day, I probably have ridiculously high standards but I didn’t expect to struggle through a breakfast that had a price tag too high considering it’s fastfood-like quality.Ultimately, disappointing and a little bit gross.
Friendly staff, great bagels, great sandwiches.Currently take out only. Card payment only. No benches or tables. (COVID)I got the Zoe Zuckerman (traditional lox, cream cheese, capers and onion.) and it made for a filling lunch. A good balance of fillings and just a bit sloppy.I arrived at around quarter to noon on a Sunday and it was moderately busy considering that there was no sporting event that day, but the total wait from getting in the queue to getting my order was about 10 minutes. The decor is amusing. They currently have movie quotes on the board with Bagel replacing key words Theres no place like Bagel. and such. The entry has a board reading off reasons to visit, one such was To watch the owner sweep the floor.Parking was adequate considering how many people were inside.
I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich immensely. The in store experience was flawless. I was not there during the breakfast rush, and I did order ahead(but only just barely) of arrival.
Blazing bagels has become my place yo go in the morning. Great location with easy parking. The bagels are always fresh and the variety astounding. They even have the elusive bialiy variety. Cream cheese of all flavors and delicious sandwiches to boot. The staff is always friendly, fast, and efficient. Service with a smile personified.
Good fresh food. Friendly service. They are usually very busy, maybe understaffed, but today I ordered my sandwich to the wrong store. The clerk transferred it to the store I needed. I imagine this took some extra effort which I greatly appreciate. I didnt have a great experience the last time ( they lost my food then forgot me) but this really won me back over. The food is local and fresh. Cant wait to try more menu items!
Best bagels in the PNW.French toast bagel, egg, tomato, light garlic cream cheese; you are welcome.
By far the best bagel I’ve had in Seattle. And if you’re dairy-free/vegan their vegan cream cheese is actually good. Like genuinely delicious and replicates real cream cheese perfectly. 10/10 perfection
We like the bagels here, but this is now the 3rd time weve come by only to find out that theyve closed more than 15 minutes early. We live 40 minutes away, so this is beyond frustrating. If youre not going to close at the time shown on your own website, and in your very own store windows, you need to update them to the accurate times. I think 3 times of this happening is beyond ridiculous and at this point well take our business elsewhere where our time and business is valued.
Great company but whenever I come to this specific location I am always left disappointed. Either something is left out of my order or they make it with the wrong ingredients. Today the cucumber in my order just wasnt fresh, it was slimy and mushy. For how much you pay for the ingredients its really not worth it. I wish I could get refunded honestly. Again, love the company but if you can afford to go to a different location you should. This review has been a long time coming since I have been frequenting this spot for months now.
Delicious bagels with a great price! Want something fresh tasting and good on the gut? This is the place for you! They even offer vegan options.
The bagels here are amazing! There are so many options, but the service is so slow. They’re nice just slow/short staffed. We placed an online order at 6:42 and actually got our food at 7:13. I was hoping to be at work by then. There was another time we placed our order online and they didn’t make it because they didn’t realize a ticket had come in. Great food just order 30-40 mins in advance for bagels.
Id give this place a full 5 had it not been that they screwed up the order...not once, but twice...and two days in a row. BUT, what they lacked in ability to get the order right the first time, they made up in friendliness, willingness to fix the problem straight away, and really good bagels.Hopefully, the next time I go to Blazing Bagels, the service will be a bit better and the hospitality will continue to be great!
Amazing sandwiches; brain-dead staff. Weve ordered online multiple times to have our order ready for a quick grab-and-go. EVERY SINGLE TIME I go to pick up our order, no one can find it after a half-hearted glance at the pickup orders and decides the order never came through successfully. EVERY SINGLE TIME they prepare to re-make the sandwiches, even though Im in a hurry. EVERY SINGLE TIME I ask, Is this really necessary? and ask to speak to a manager. EVERY SINGLE TIME the manager finds our bag hanging out amongst the rest of the online orders. I really dont understand what is so complicated about finding our to-go order. Im not going in anymore; my spouse can deal with this inanity.
I stopped by to pick up a bagel for my kids lunch and as I begin to open the door a woman comes up from inside giving me the hand across the neck gesture and says “we’re closed” and proceeds to pull the door closed in my face. Not even a “sorry but we’re closed” or something a bit more polite that you would do to a “customer”. I keep hearing that small businesses are struggling during these hard times and ask people to support them but if you are not going to provide good customer service like you should, don’t expect people to care if you stay in business or not.
Good. All the front of counter staff arrived after 6a... which is when it was due to open. Once they arrived it went smoothly. However my bagel was missing lox. After making a uturn in morning traffic I arrived back. 3 employees walked past me with out any inquiry as to my need despite holding bagel and receipt in hand. Then the cashier pastby and I told her of the mistake. She remade me my order and sent me on my way.I was late to work... but my belly was happy.
I love this place, I really wish there were more vegan cream cheeses but Ill take what I can get. I come here every morning!
Service with a smile to the max. Orders were taken efficiently and carried out. I had an onion bially which was delish with lots of onion and the lox cream cheese had big chunks of lox very nicely done
1st time trying; surprised how good sandwich was! Staff nice and friendly.Sandwiches kinda pricey but pretty much expected
Good for lunch. Great bagel sandwiches. I visit weekly, sometimes twice.
I just dont get the best bagels east of New York... Been trying to find the best bagels west of New York, but until that happens, imma keep going here. Zoe Zuckerberg ftw.
Super easy to order online, and when they didnt have the bagels that we wanted, we got a phone call and it was really easy to order replacements. We sent one person in to pick up the bagels, and the shop is clearly doing its best to make things safe during Covid. They have signs that they arent currently accepting cash, and protectors over the cash register area. And their bagels are still the best in the world. Try their asiago and snickerdoodle--to die for!
Best bagels in seattle area. The custom bagel sandwiches are great and they are very generous with the fillings
I wish I woulda have gotten more fresh bagels when I was there instead of only getting myself a bagel sandwich. Now I want more and I have to ask for another ride
Blazing Bagels is my favorite bagel place in Seattle hands down. They offer so many plant-based options for spreads and “meats”. There was a period of time where I was going here every other day, it’s that good and they have that much variety! I only wish they extended their plant-based menu to their baked goods like cookies and muffins.
This bagel shop has delicious bagels!! 😊😋Their bagels are bigger than usual. And are of hearty quantity! They’ve a variety of bagels and cream cheese. They make for a great breakfast stop on the way to a hike or start of a road trip!If you’re a bagel person, definitely check this place out!
Ordered a breakfast sandwich on jalapeno bagel with jalapeno cream cheese.Did not double check before heading to work.Removed sandwich from bag at work and no jalapeno baggel or creamcheese.😠 Not looking to go back and stand in line and wait another 25 minutes.
Consistent and good quality bagels! The selection is massive, and theyve defintely got a choice for everyone.Vegan and gluten free options as well, which you dont find at most places.Make sure and get it extra toasted 😋
Always friendly, top notch bagels served with generous (GENEROUS) amounts of cream cheese.... delicious cream cheese at that... no Philadelphia CC or no-name brands here. I love the variety of bagels, and the sandwiches are very generously stacked with ingredients. My weakness is the salt bagel and the day-old bagel specials!
Finding good bagels in Seattle is a surprisingly hard task! Ive tried pretty much every place downtown, with no luck in finding a really solid spot. Blazing Bagels is the closest Ive found to the bagels I miss from NYC, and very tasty in their own right!
Delicious and great variety!! Some of the best bagels Ive found!
Blazing bagels is amazing. Best bagels ever always so fresh. Love their customer service and attitudes.
Great food. Wish we could tip on web orders.Edited from 5 to 2 stars. Great food served at a glacial pace. 30 minutes wait time for bagels. Not a full house or parking lot. Still absolutely, achingly slow service. Who has that much time to waste on breakfast. They should rebrand as breakSLOW.
Love there bagels but slow at the counter over all good service
Love the food customer service needs help
Great selection of bagels, and very easy service. Walked in and out within 5 minutes.
Far from excellent, but a decent morning eat if options are limited.
Im from the East Coast so finding a good bagel place in Seattle was wishful thinking until I was told about this place.Fresh bagels everyday, and day old bagels sold in packs. Their coffee is good and their bagels are better. They have a extensive variety of bagels and delicious cream cheese. I absolutely love their breakfast bagel sandwiches. So good! Highly recommend!!
Blazing Bagels are fantastic! Since moving here from the East Coast, weve missed our favorite bagels. Until we found these. Now we will drive 50 minutes one way just to get one of their delicious bagel sandwiches. Please consider opening a shop close to Gig Harbor!
Great bagels so giving 4 stars but whats the point of online ordering if I show up 5 min past my pickup time and still have to wait 15 more minutes for ONE bagel w plain cream cheese. Ugh. Also, customer service is pretty average. When its really busy there are no smiles and no eye contact. Im pretty sure the music back there is too loud to hear the bell because they look at me like why didnt you ring the bell? everytime they come out from behind the bagel making station and I have to ask for my online order...every. single. time. (hence the frustrated review).
The best bagel Ive had since I left New York
The young lady at counter was grumpy and not very nice. The food was wonderful.
This place has become a staple choice for my early-work lunches. Fantastic offerings, great in quality, well worth the money.
They do not take cash. Cards only. Some people do not have plastic money. Cant buy bagels here with legal currency. Kind of stupid to refuse people with money. Guess they make enough to not care about economic discrimination.
Seem to suffering, as everyone is, from lack of help, but they still are getting the bagels out!
Masks required=chargebacks. Thanks for the free bagels
Best NY style bagels
Great bagels, sandwiches, bagels dogs. Yummy
These bagels are so much better than other bagels. Im not sure why or how.
Love Everything Bagels. Great place even with the Covid Restrictions
Greatest bagels west of NYC, or is it east... hands down delicious. NO cash just card or phone.
Masks required, card only no cash accepted. Hard to hear anything, went in on a busy afternoon. The woman taking my order had no idea what an americano was, I ordered a half-caf americano and she asked if that was coffee with half n half. I explained no, it’s espresso with hot water, and I wanted one shot of full caffeine and one shot decaf. I also ordered a double shot mocha as well as a couple bagel sandwiches. She seemed confused as to what these drinks were and I pointed to their menu and said they’re made with espresso from the espresso machine.I watched her pour drip coffee from the carafes for my “americano”, but I wasn’t sure that’s what had happened since there were other drinks. By time me and my husband tried our coffee we were on the road. Yep. She poured me drip coffee and charged me for an americano ($.50 difference but still, I wanted an americano not drip). My husbands mocha also just tasted like drip coffee with chocolate syrup in it, it should have been pretty strong with the two shots but it tasted watery. Really disappointed because I took the time to explain to her how to make these drinks, despite them literally being on the menu she not only charged me for the item she just poured us coffee... the bagel sandwiches were fantastic. I’d stick to just food from now on at this location. I don’t like being charged extra for an incorrect drink.
Blazing Bagel have amazing bagels! I drove all the way from Lakewood for this! With a large number of choice freshly baked bagels from jalapeño, pizza w/pepper, cheddar, rosemary, whole wheat, onion, poppyseed, pesto, bacon cheddar chives, Asiago cheese, cinnamon, snickerdoodles, garlic, and much more! The cream cheese to go is to die for!The menu ordering is a little confusing for beginners by the staff is more than willing to help!Come get yours today!
Wonderful bagels. I especially love the cheddar ones.
This place is so great. It’s a unique take on bagels and hotdogs and I couldn’t be happier on the fusion.
Great bagel and breakfast sandwiches. They also sell coffee, cream cheese, other baked goods, and packaged bagels.
Strictly carry out. We ordered a couple of sandwiches and some bagels. The set up works well if you live close or plan on eating in the car. The bagels were fresh and a little softer than the others weve had.
They dont take cash!!!!!! And they are over prices.
I had a mobile order for pickup that wasnt ready until 20 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. Dont go here, too many people inside, not social distancing. I did not feel safe in here. Also incredibly rude staff. I asked the batista what the order he announced was, because it was so loud from the 20 people packed into this glorified garage, and I wanted to make sure it was my drink. He was super rude just answering a simple question. Sucks, the food is good but I am not going to support a business that does not take this pandemic seriously. Not worth the wait or the risk.
Really good bagels, but messed up order badly.
Place is a joke. Still require you to wear a mask even though the mandate was lifted and I told them I was vaccinated. Funny part is they sure don’t mind not social distancing in the store.
Great bagel spot
“New York” bagels with Seattle wait times. WACK.
Love the bagels and the corned beef bagel was delish
Yummest things for breakfast. Choose from 10 kinds of bread and then fixed ingredient combos.
Best non New York bagel Ive ever had. Reasonably priced, good social distancing measures in place, easy location to drive to. Also loved my Rosemary bagel with butter.
Total disorganized. 20 minutes to get 4 bagels ... the worker could have just picked them up and bagged them as i chose....but they have a system. Better bagels at Safeway.
Love their French toast bagel
Best breakfast sandwich Ive had in years, price is right on for quality & quantity!
So so good! Awesome staff and they make such a delicious bagel. Support local business!
Customer service is great, food is great but they do not accept cash? I cant support a business that doesn’t accept cash as a form of payment.
Little better than the last visit but probably will not tell friends to go to that location.
Awesome bagels!
Pumpernickel everything bagel! Freaking finally, someone gets it. 😁😁😁
Forgot the 2nd bagel of our two bagel order, even after confirming what we ordered before paying. We were charged for both. The bagel we did get wasnt made correctly. Loud inside and hard to hear cashier.
Looking for breakfast on my way to SEATAC. Quick service and delicious bagels and cream cheese.
Fresh bagels and schmears, sandwiches, and toppings are all incredibly tasty. Worth every penny of their very reasonable prices.
Im not from New York or anything but I loved this place from the start. The atmosphere is super cool and the bagels are top notch. Got a Zoe on Everything with chive cream cheese 👌Highly recommend
Great little spot for a quick workday lunch, or breakfast sammie. The bagels are fairly legit, they have a HUGE selection, their ingredients for the sandwiches are very fresh, and their prices are really good for Seattle. Being able to get a satisfying lunch for $6-9 is definitely a rarity out here. Definitely recommended.
Open face Zoe is my favorite!
Excellent service, delicious bagels
Awesome bagels! Super huge variety and fresh. Probably can eat something different every visit over a long period. Menu is very customizable. Location is great and parking is easy and free. Definitely recommend going with a sandwich, but the bagels by themselves are also amazing.
Theres a reason this place is always busy and nearly only sells bagels! The bagels alone are amazing-Even the gluten free are better than other gluten free bagels. The sandwiches with said bagels are also perfect. This establishment really took their thing and excelled at it. Ive also always had a good experience with the employees.
Good selection, decent prices
Tasty, tough bagels. Much better from this place than the supermarket. Their shmeers are tasty!
