I have brought both my cars for repairs on different occasions. Prado is very knowledgeable, prompt, and definitely a reliable, comprehensive mechanic. I live way across town from the shops location, but it is well worth the distance.

To save money I have worked on my own cars for years. i discovered Prados solid service over 10 years ago when a front axle fell off my Honda Accord two blocks from his towing service. I wallked in, and Prado did such quick and responsive work, both methodically and reasonably priced, that I have gone back to him ever since. Front end work, transmission work, shocks, engine tune up, tires, it just pays me to have him do it all now. Go see Prado, he treats everyone right.

I took my volvo to a mechanic shop on capitol hill and they told me I needed $3600 worth of work. They said I have oil leak that was getting on my timing belt and was bound to break it. They said if the timing belt goes the engine will be destroyed. Prado took things apart and found the leak but it wasnt getting on the timing belt. He showed me pictures of a clean timing belt! I replaced the transmission fluid and payed him for the check up and it was $282. I payed him $300. I saved 3300 because I have an honest mechanic! I have worked with Prado for years and when he moved to west Seattle I didnt think I was up for the drive out there. Let me tell ya its worth it to have someone you can trust!

One of my farmers trucks broke down and barely made it to my house from Tonasket. Prado was able to fix the transmission after dropping everything else to do so and noted that the catalytic converter needed to be changed out soon. Well that happened very soon and again Prado went above and beyond what a normal mechanic would and they went with me up to Edmonds to pick up the truck even though they were headed home, after my farmer got a rental truck and transferred his load over. The day we were to get it back (or possibly the next morning) they worked late until 8pm to get it completed so that we could pick it up and my farmer could get back on the road at 6am that next day. There was no charge for the time it took for them to go with me up to Edmonds and then drive back.This shop goes over and beyond what you expect from a mechanic. They show you whats going on and help you understand, even me who knows nothing about cars. They want their customers to be informed. They also dont price gouge or try to upsell you.After this experience I know in the future where my vehicle will go for repairs. Thank you Prado Transmission & Auto Repair!

Over the past month I had to have the cigarette lighter that I use as a carcharger repaired 6 times (because I need my Garmin 100% of the timesince Im traveling 90% of my time in a lot of areas in which Im completelyunfamiliar with).One repair shop even installed a bran new lighter/charger instead of trying torepair the original one and that one sizzled its fuse within a day.btwCarlos is the only repair person whose repair is still working after a week (theother repairs all sizzled within two days at the most).Heres the story:I had just had one of the chargers repaired and was driving down the streetto get back on the freeway when that charger suddenly konked out again(within 5 minutes of being repaired).I looked to my left and saw Prados Transmissions.. So I pulled over, checked, out some reviews and decided to swing on in there to see if they had the timeto truly repair my charger.The story:Carlos walked out of the office and within minutes had my car pulled into thegarage after showing me where I could plug in my konked out iPhone to rechargeit while he tended to my car charger.Within 30 minutes I rolled out of there with not only that new charger repaired, butalso the original charger that the other folks gave up on!Yes, he repaired both chargers at the price of one so I would have a back up in caseone of the fuses blew out again!andAfter a week both chargers are still working!lastlyI know Carlos truly cares about people in general because the reason he was able torepair my chargers right away is that a customer scheduled for a prepaid repair hadnot shown up nor called to explain why he wasnt there.andCarlos was worried that something had happened to the customer but was finallyable to reach that customer by phone and was visibly relieved and happy to learnit was just because that customer was arranging to have someone bring him homewhile the repair was made.So if you need a car repair expert who truly knows what hes doing and truly caresabout the safety and care of his customers, feel free to stop in for a visit with Carlosand youll see what Im talking about (pr writing about, smiling).Really.
