All I can say is believe all the 5 star reviews. This shop is one of the most professional and accommodating shops I’ve had the pleasure of doing business with. After driving across country from Florida my Wrx needed a bit of TLC and pacific rim was quick to get me in and even provided me with loaner while they worked on mine. Second time around the clutch went out and they squeezed me in that week then completed the job in less then a day. All of the staff especially Jay are easy to talk to and lay out everything straight forward. I would highly recommend and definitely will do business with them again.
After having a VSC and CEL pop up on my dash, I did some research on local Seattle import shops and came across Pacific Rim. The sales rep Jay and the entire team at Pacific Rim were a pleasure to work with. They are an honest, knowledgeable, and speedy shop that got my old Lexus fixed up and running after discovering a cracked gas tank. Although I didnt need it, Jay was kind enough to lend me a loaner vehicle while mine was being repaired. They even washed my car while they had it in their possession. I hope to not have a vehicle repair anytime soon, but I know I will be bringing it back here!
Amazing service!!! I brought my car in due to steering issues and John identified the culprit. I am traveling and they worked with me to ensure the car got fixed and worked with my budget. Best shop out there.
Taken my car here loads of time they can do everything. Engine repair everything.Highly recommend. They provide excellent service with the car and in person. Highly recommend.
Have been bringing my middle aged Subaru here for the last 4 years or so. The team is knowledgeable, friendly, and provide excellent service. Ive never felt pressured or pushed into getting unnecessary work done. Loaner cars are available free of charge if you need one, and typically the turnaround is very quick (as long as parts are in stock, its been same day drop-off/pick-up - and theyre very communicative if that might not be the case). Theres a one year warranty on any work theyve done, but Ive never had to bring my car back to be re-fixed after its been worked on.
Great communication, quite friendly and reasonably priced. Will absolutely return. Thanks!
Great work and client service. They gave me a priority list of what to fix and were able to complete my work within a day. I will definitely return for the remaining maintenance.
I’ve been bringing my 1995 Acura Legend to these guys for years, and am only stopping because I am moving out of the state! They have great communication and I feel I have more knowledge about my car every time I bring it in. I am sad to have to find a new go-to shop after I move. Thank you all for your help!!
I appreciate how straightforward they are! They always let me know what theyre gonna do, how long it will take, and how much it will cost. If any of that changes, they call me. And having the option to get a loaner car from them is really nice.
I took my bmw here after getting a quote from the dealership. They were able to perform minor repairs very fast and charged 50% less thank the dealership. Fair and fast service!
Honest workers and always give accurate quotes. :)
Highly recommend! Jeremy is a genuine, caring individual and I am thrilled with the service Ive received on my Toyota 4runner. Pricing is great, also. A+++
Best mechanics I’ve ever used. I’ve exclusively used them for two cars for five years and they’re running great. They haven’t tried to upsell or do unnecessary repairs. The staff remembers me and the cars.
Great experience from start to finish. Very organized, quick, and friendly service. I got some major repairs done on my Subaru, so they had my car for several days. They offered a great loaner car for me to use for the duration of the repair. At drop-off, I was in and out in four minutes. The loaner car paperwork was ready to go, and the car was parked right outside at the curb so I could be on my way quickly. They called me a few hours later to give me a rundown on all the repairs, and their pricing beat out the quotes I received from the dealership. Pick-up and payment was just as smooth and easy. They even washed my car, so its looking real nice right now and driving even better. Would definitely recommend, and I will definitely be back. Thank you!
Excellent service, trustworthy, and fair. We are loyal customers for six years now, and will never go elsewhere!
Weve gone to PacRim for over 25 years with many different vehicles, which they like the challenge of keeping them running. If that isnt enough, they also have loaner cars. The owners answer the phones, so you are speaking to a mechanic right from the get go. These guys are great!
Pacific Rim was great. I brought in my 2011 BMW 328i xDrive and they performed several services on it. All of the services seemed to have been done correctly and my car drives much better now.( update, after a month while my brakes do feel better than before in terms of reduced vibration on deceleration, there is a notable softness at the top of the pedal which was previously very stiff and responsive, I will contact the shop and see if they will fix this as I find it kind of annoying and is definitely a decrease in the overall braking force I feel that I can apply) I only have 2 small complaints, one, and I understand this, as my father owned a mechanic shop, they would not allow me to bring in an outside part even though I expressed that I would be willing to pay a charge for the part, this applied to both asking about BMW Genuine and an aftermarket upgrade. Secondly, I had juuuuuust washed my car and got it back dirtier than I had received it. There was a copious amount of some sort of spray chemical all over the top of my car from where they had installed a trim piece, granted I am very thankful for them providing this service even though it is not one they typically provide, I would have greatly appreciated getting my car back clean after spending nearly $3500. Overall good job though guys, ill be back in the future!
My car’s battery died nearby at the vet’s office and I was stranded— I called and asked if they had jumper cables and a man from pacific rim walked over immediately (in the rain!) and jump started my car! Amazing, lovely people. Thank you!
Theyve always done a good job on my car. Fair, fast, professional. And their lobby area is an expansive man cave. Love it.
Great shop! I’ve had them do a bunch of different things on my ‘97 4Runner including timing belt and water pump. It’s been a few months and I haven’t had any issues! They’ve given me some good advice as well. I’ll definitely be coming back
They love my Subie like I do!
Eric was extremely helpful, hes an honest man who quickly gained my trust through his honesty and knowledge. I would recommend this garage to anyone who needs work done on their car. Fair prices and wide availability.
Such nice people. Jason helped tighten my lugs on my tires just to help. He’s a hero !!!
I asked for and received an estimate for 105000 mile manufacturer recommended maintenance under normal driving conditions. For some reason I was told by Jeremy that includes a transmission flush and changing cabin and engine air filters. Those 3 services are NOT part of the 105000 mile service for my car and would have jacked my price from around $90 which is what I normally pay for the services I asked for to around $360. If I hadnt done my due diligence and checked the service schedule before asking for the estimate I easily could have gotten scammed by this place. Watch out for this. Pacific Rim Automotive definitely lost a potential customer by attempting to use this dishonest business practice on me.
These guys are the real deal! After being disappointed with so many autoshops on the Eastside a friend directed me to Pacific Rim and boy howdy I gladly drive across the lake to bring my Toyotas in. They strive for quality parts, typically OEM, and dont cut corners. The loaner vehicles are a big convenience. My Toyotas dont run down all that often, but when they do I call Pacific Rim.
These guys are as honest as they come and always do a great job! They are my go to mechanics. 👍
Best Mechanics around plus they have the best attitudes! Super professional.
Had excellent experience. Outstanding diagnostic, technical, and customer service. Highly recommend.
Friendly, professional, uncondescending.
(Real review) I am livid at how this place treated my wife. First, they quoted her at $300-600 then charged us $1200. Once they were finished, they called my wife at 4:57 PM and were so polite to say, “...and by the way, we close at 5:30.” So my wife now had to navigate her way through Seattle rush hour to get there on time all while not having a car. Can you have a little compassion? Once my wife arrived, they told her they parked the car down the street where she also had to cross a busy street to get there. How dare you treat my wife or any person this way. Would you like it if your wife was treated with this amount of respect? And after spending $1200? You all should be ashamed of yourselves. Did you do this to her and charge us this much cause of our out of state license plate? I see you all have a big parking lot. I dare you to treat me or any male this way. Cowards.
Transparent about pricing, turnaround time, work to be done (or not) and provide great servicenot sure is prices are high or low, but they seem entirely reasonable to me given they are in the middle of the city and produce high quality work
I drive a 2003 Subaru Outback L.L.Bean and have brought my vehicle in a few times now to have work done on it/be serviced.Several highlights Id like to point out:*Friendliness/personable: Jeremy is always so nice whenever I come in and super pleasant to converse with!*Communication:Correspondence and response time through my emails with them is always prompt. Jeremy also always calls to help explain exactly what is going on with my car, takes the time to explain things in a way I can comprehend, and never makes me feel like Im asking a dumb question.I also feel like hes honest when I ask him straight forward questions like:-What actually *needs* to be done now? vs What issues with my car can be addressed later? They also let me know of possible early warning signs of potential issues they notice that may or or may not need to be addressed later and things to take note of in order to help ensure that my car run better/longer.Whenever Ive been on the fence about which way to go with certain repairs on my car, Jeremy always answers honestly when I ask him what he would do in my position.*Convenience/promptness:They do offer a loaner vehicle to customers while your car is being serviced, which is super convenient for me so I dont have to find my own way back home/back to the shop.(Ive always utilized this service that they offer, however there is always the chance one may not be available- so just to be sure I usually double check with them ahead of time)And Ive noticed that unless youre getting really major repairs done on your car/are getting it worked on during an especially busy time for them- my car is usually done being worked on and ready for me to pick up within that same day.If you were to ask me if this was the cheapest place to get your car worked on, Id probably say no- not necessarily. But its not like they claim to be or advertise that they have the best prices, and it most definitely is *not* the most expensive place either.Overall:I feel the quality of work they do is worth what you pay, how nicely youre treated when you come in, and the fact that Im provided with a loaner car (since the idea of getting a ride home in an Uber/Lyft with a driver/person I dont know during a pandemic causes me anxiety) are ALL reasons Im happy to have found this place and decided to be a returning customer. 👍🤗👌
These guys are great. Really. Thats all there is to it. I purchased my current vehicle from them when they were downsizing their loaner car fleet and their service has been so good that Ive kept going back. Theyve been my shop for over six years and I have never been disappointed. For those of you out there who arent single women (Im going to guess thats at least a few of you), you may not realize how predatory some mechanics can be. These guys have never tried to up-sell me, theyve never suggested that I get extra repairs done, they have always thoroughly explained their reasoning for suggesting a repair, and theyve declined to do unnecessary repairs when it became clear that I did not understand the amount of work involved (and therefore the cost) required to accomplish what I was requesting. Additionally, I receive a detailed itemized receipt for all services rendered after each visit and they keep a copy in their files, so theyve maintained a complete history of automotive care for my vehicle every time Ive taken it in.I can only guess that these guys enjoy their jobs, as the staff retention is extremely high. The staff is always polite and considerate (Im talking about you, Rich and Jay!) and the owner has consistently gone the extra mile for me. The shop runs on business hours, which may be a little inconvenient for some, but I like knowing that these guys run a tight ship and get to go home at 5:30 pm Monday through Friday, and get to have weekends off. I expect that might be a bit rare in the automotive world. All in all, if you want honest professional mechanics who are willing to talk you through the repairs they consider necessary for your vehicle, go to Pacific Rim Automotive. Theyve done right by me for six years and running.
I had a sudden and unexpected clutch master cylinder failure. The car was towed to PRA by 10:00 a.m. and they had the master and slave cylinders replaced by 2:00 in the afternoon. Price was extremely reasonable for same day service! They were very responsive and we negotiated everything by phone. Thanks guys, top notch service! BTW, 5 stars in my book is above and beyond good and I believe you earned it.
Recommended to me by my co-workers, best experience Ive ever had with an auto repair place. Super transparent and easy to understand explanations of what was wrong with my vehicle, they only fixed what needed to be fixed without trying to tack on additional charges, and they really went above and beyond to be timely with the repairs. I will be coming back for sure, and recommending others to the place as well.
Pacific Rim has been my choice for auto repair for at least 15 years – maybe more. They do great work at a fair price and are just plain nice folks. We have never had any problems. We can applaud when someone does a great job. But everyone makes a mistake – doctor, lawyer, electrician, database programmer. It’s how that business or person reacts to that mistake that is crucial.Without going into details, we had a 30,000 mile service done to our Subaru just before a long road trip. We were in the southern Wyoming when the car broke down. We got the car into a Subaru dealership where it was diagnosed as having resulted from a mistake in the 30,000 mile servicing.I was prepared to go into protracted argument about whose fault it was and who would have to pay. But we had the car back and ready to go within a couple of days and the Subaru dealer said that Pacific Rim had been one of best automotive services he had ever worked with in terms of recognizing fault and “making it good”!It’s how a person/business makes things right that makes the difference! I thank them so much for their great service in the past and then making sure we got back on the road as quickly as possible when a problem arose. I would recommend Pacific Rim without qualification to anyone! I look forward to working with them for years into the future.
FANTASTIC. I am extremely happy that I stumbled upon this shop. In my experience so far, the mechanics here are professional, quick, friendly, knowledgeable, communicative, and dont overcharge!! They even notified me of several major issues on my newly-acquired car that prior mechanics (including an official Subaru dealership) did not catch. After dealing with some not-so-great mechanics before coming to Pacific Rim, it is refreshing to know that my car is finally in good hands in the shop. I will definitely only be taking my car back to this place for all future servicing on my Subaru!
Have been bringing my 10+ year old car here for almost two years, and couldn’t be happier with the quality and value of service. Super efficient, very transparent about repairs and pricing, and everyone has been so pleasant and respectful.
We have been coming year for a couple years. Their service is fantastic. Jeremy has been the guy who helped with all the car problems we have. He does a great job explaining the problems and what are necessary to be done. Our car has 210k miles on it and still runs like a champ. They are also amazing at getting our car fixed quickly and letting us use their loaner car. Hassle free experience. Love their service.
I recently needed brake work done on my car and was referred to Pacific Rim Automotive. I had the pleasure to speak with John and I found him quite helpful in many regards. The appointment was scheduled in timely fashion and customer service from John and his staff was outstanding-they were all very polite, courteous and informative and allowed me to feel comfortable with having them work on my car. Their warranties for their work and parts are quite nice as well. When I picked up my car, I was pleased to find they had washed and vacuumed too. I feel they did me right and would feel quite comfortable in referring others to them.
Years ago I took my older Honda to Pacific Rim for all its maintenance and repairs. Then in 2000 I bought my first ever new car and took it to the dealer while it was under warranty and beyond. Now Im happily back with Pacific Rim. I find them informative and easy to talk to. They dont talk down to me and they listen to what I am saying. I quite enjoy my chats with them!I am very attached to my car to get me from one client to the next. Its perfect for me and my business. I need it to be safe and reliable and to last me a long time to come. I trust the guys at PRA to take care of that for me. Having loaner cars available is a must and a huge plus for me. Its easy and stress- free where it used to be a huge big deal to even get the oil changed. I can usually get in when I need to and the work gets done within a reasonable time. Sometimes they have made a simple suggestion that I hadnt thought of to solve a problem and saved me having a repair done at all!
I had a great experience (2x!) getting my car fixed here. The guys were fast, polite, and worked with me to help me retrieve my car after closing time! Couldnt recommend more. Simple. Fast. Worth it.
Great place to have your Land Cruiser or any vehicle serviced. Pacific Rim has serviced both our 80 series and 100 series Land Cruisers. When the 100 series was dropped off the first time it was comforting to see that there were a number of other Land Cruisers in their parking lot. Im not aware of any other shops near the citys core that see Land Cruisers on a regular basis so it was very exciting to find this place. In addition to performing great work they are also extremely convenient because of the size of their operation. They can get your repair scheduled with a day or two of notice and can complete almost any job in one day.
Rich and the team at Pacific Rim are great. They are helpful, take their time to explain whats going on and why, and back up their work. I had a problem with my tires (not Pacific Rims fault) and they walked me through and were extremely helpful in getting them replaced. Quality work and great service all around. I recommend them to everyone and anyone with a car.
Rich is the best. Pacific Rim understands our car WAY better than our last mechanic, and gives top-notch STELLAR customer service. Their loaner car service is great. They have gone above and beyond by doing countless extra little things that they dont have to on top of the regular service. They are resourceful on ways to save money and get the most out of your vehicle, and generous with tips and good advice. Rich is also just a super nice, stand-up, trustworthy guy. Cant recommend highly enough!
An amazing experience! I had some *very* expensive repairs that were a long time coming and they made the experience as stress free as possible. Really appreciate the great work they do.
The staff is always friendly and never condescending. Theyve been really helpful and patient with financial restrictions Ive had. They let me split a large order of work into a few payments to spread out the cost over a couple of paychecks. They keep track of the work I need done and help me sort it out in order of greatest priority. When I took it in for an oil change, they forgot to tell me about a out brake light and when I went to pick up the car they replaced the bulb for no charge since they forgot to tell me about it.I would highly recommend these folks. Always honest, fair, great service.
I have taken my car into Pacific Rim Auto a number of times and have been really consistently happy with their work, service and amenities. I took my car in last week and was given a loaner car, which made it SO much more convenient for me. They called to let me know about additional work they recommended I get, but I did not feel pressured in any way, just well informed. My car is running great!
These folks are great!Ive been taking my Subaru here for over a year now and trust them to do the right thing for my car. They really do a thorough job and always take the time to explain exactly what they see which I really appreciate. Even just for an oil change, it is nice to know that someone awesome is looking at your car and making sure everything is running well.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating. I was initially charged a big sum for a transmission flush that this shop provides manually (& some other shops provide using an automatic machine). After speaking with Jeremy, he provided rationale as to why they provide manual flushes and inherently the higher cost of both parts & labor. He kindly offered to price adjust my service, offered a recheck and apologized for miscommunication. I believe their service is quality and they are for their customers. I would encourage customers to ask questions about cost of labor & parts if they feel their bill is large. This company provides quality maintenance that is accessible in the city & ultimately, car maintenance is expensive.
This is that trustworthy, no-hassle, real prices mechanic were all looking for! Amazing service, thoroughness, a lot of value adds, willingness to experience what youre experiencing with your car. Rich and the team are incredibly knowledgeable and go above and beyond expectations. I couldnt be happier with their service. Repeat customer.
I love the staff at Pacific Rim. They are helpful, knowledgeable and dont try to upsell unnecessary services. They always help me understand what I need, what I should be watching out for and how long I can wait on major items. They have kept our 99 Forester humming right along and also take great care of the newer 16 addition to our Subaru family.
The guys at Pacific Rim Automotive, Inc are awesome! They do great work, they get things done on time, and their customer service is excellent. Theyve changed a couple light bulbs for me recently, last minute and completely free of charge. Highly recommend!
This place is great. They have always been helpful and reasonable priced. They call before going ahead with any major work and its right in the city so super convenient. Highly recommend!
I’ve been taking my 2005 Acura MDX to Pacific Rim for 11 years for everything from annual oil changes, brake pad replacements, replacing a timing belt to a 90,000 mile service. These guys do absolutely amazing and efficient work, their rates are below market and their communication is always great and timely. I‘m comforted driving my Acura with the knowledge and confidence that it has been well looked after by Pacific Rim. They are extremely friendly, helpful and never condescending to mechanically-challenged folks like myself. We are fortunate to have them in the Seattle area.
I have taken my car in a couple times to Pacific Rim Automotive and have always had a great experience. They are great about keeping you posted with updates on the status of your car and calling ahead before doing any major work on your car. Everyone I have dealt with has been super friendly and personable!A couple months ago I had to have some work done to my car and the quotes I got from Pacific Rim were comparable (if not better) than quotes I had from other companies. Although I have not taken advantage of this, personally, they offer loaner cars out while yours is getting serviced, which can be a big plus if you need to get around the city while you car is being worked on. Will definitely be coming back to this company in the future!
I highly recommend Pacific Rim. I am now on my second vehicle with them, and will continue to go here as long as I need work done on my car. Their prices are fair, definitely in-line with the rest of Seattle. They have always got my car back when promised, and often even before their original time estimate.Lastly, and most importantly, the customer service here is the best. The staff is friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. One of their repairs did not turn out the way I expected, and they did everything possible to make things right.
Ive been taking my cars and trucks to Pacific Rim for many years, and the service has always been fantastic. Im self-employed as a painting contractor, so my work vehicle is essential to me. They always get my truck back to me really fast so I can get back on the road and back to work. The free loaner car is a huge help also. I highly recommend giving them a try.
Friendly, responsive, efficient, and honest. Great service without unnecessary upsells! Came here on the recommendation of a friend, and Ill be recommending them now as well.
Pacific Rim has taken care of my 1998 Subaru Outback ever since I bought it. They always alert me to things they think need to be done and explain why they think it is needed. They are prompt and willing to make time to fix an emergency. Almost always, they provide a loaner car. I think that the longevity of my car is due, in large part, to the excellent care these guys have provided. I strongly recommend them.
Honestly couldnt have had a better experience with these guys. Im in the middle of a 4-week road trip around the Pacific Northwest / West Coast and early in my trip I noticed my transmission being really jerky when shifting, especially in low gears and when downshifting. Then the check engine light came on and it stayed on for about five days--as long as I could ignore it before I finally decided to get it checked out. I live in San Diego, so, being in the Seattle area, I was a long way from home, and I still had more than 2,000 miles mapped out on my journey, so I was anxious to get it looked at asap--only issue was that I was only in Seattle for another day. I called around to a bunch of shops, including two local VW dealerships, and got pretty brief, Well have to run a diagnostic and it will cost you ____ responses...which is understandable, because I know theyre busy and they have a business to run. Pacific Rim, however (Jeremy, specifically--the guy is awesome), gave me a full run-down of potential issues based on what I was describing, answered all of my questions, told me they wouldnt charge for a diagnostic, told me how much it would cost if it was the problem they were anticipating based on the symptoms I was describing, and then did the ultimate of squeezing me in immediately so that I could continue on my road trip as planned. They fixed the problem, kept me informed at every step of the process, and Jeremy even went as far as to very kindly give me a quick education on various workings of my car that I was not aware of previously. What I was most impressed with was the level of genuine customer service and care demonstrated at every step of the process, from the initial call to me picking up the keys and paying. The price was fair (I checked other sources), and I just had a good feeling of trust with these guys, like they really had my best interest at heart. About 10 days and well over 1,000 miles later, my car is running perfect, and Im not stressing about getting back home to San Diego. Thank you, Pacific Rim!
Pacific Rim has been our go-to place for Toyota and Subaru care for over 15 years. They are friendly. reliable, keep our older cars running great and never push unnecessary work. Theyve provided help in emergencies and have given excellent advice when examining used cars we were considering. The extras are the frosting on the customer service cake - they always provide a loaner and return our cars cleaned up inside and out. Thanks, Rich! Thanks, Jay! Keep up the wonderful work.
Our engine light went on Saturday afternoon and the only other garage we could get a hold of was going to charge us $114 just to diagnose the problem. We call Pacific Rim, and even though they werent open (John was in doing paperwork), he immediately offered to take a look and do a quick diagnostic for free. He was friendly, honest, and incredibly helpful-- he gave us great advice and we are definitely going to be regulars from now on (this was our first time there). Highly recommended, excellent customer service!
They do not know what they are doing and over charge you for it. They were just doing a “tune up” on my car and after I left, my car started making a noise it hadn’t before. I took it to another mechanic (because I no longer trusted them) who told me there were parts loose. They seem very friendly at first but my new mechanic said they way over charged me for the work after he looked at the bill. Do NOT recommend.
This shop provides top notch, knowledgeable services. They have twice saved me large amounts of money by fixing rather than replacing major systems.
Customer service from John and Jay was great. Repairs were done quickly and we werent pushed to have other parts fixed. However the car was inspected for other issues which may occur in the future. Reasonable pricing and quality parts make this place great for any problems you have with your car.
John works hard to build trust with his clients. The Pacific Rim Automotive is the closest youll get from a dealer. Unhappy with the demeanor of one of his employees, I had placed a bad review here before. Couple of hours later John gets in touch with me to apologize and gives me great news. Hes willing to do my timing belt, replace my water pump, and fix the power window at no cost. Its exactly what we expect from a professional in this type of situation. No regrets to have driven my car to the Pacific Rim Automotive at all. Im here to testify that they will work hard to get the job nicely done no mater what. I strongly recommend the Pacific Rim Automotive for your Subaru Forester. Ask for John that it cant go wrong. Cheers!
The guys at Pacific Rim are awesome and efficient! I have taken my car to Pacific Rim three times for a variety of small and big fixes and I have been more than happy with the outcome! They offer a loaner car anytime your car is with them even if it is just for a quick oil change. I would highly suggest these guys to anyone with any type of car!
I recently purchased an older 4Runner with 180k miles. I want to establish a relationship with a reputable shop, as I intend to take great care of this car. I took it to Pacific Rim Auto to get a rundown of what needed fixed now and what I should be planning to do 6-12 months down the road. I worked with John (the owner) primarily over email, which was a huge benefit to me. He was responsive and thorough and gave great advice on what I should be considering. The price for the initial repairs was very fair (especially considering the hassle free loan car) and John ended up fixing a few items for free (throttle plate cleaning, antenna, and wiper blades). My expectations were very high and Pacific Rim managed to exceed them.Im happy to say that I think I found a honest and fair place to take my 4Runner.
These guys take care of two of my cars and have always been great to work with. They are prompt, straightforward and trustworthy. I am glad to have them in the neighborhood because it makes my car maintenance that much easier! Thanks!Susan
Ive been taking my 2005 G35 to Pacific Rim for several years now, and they have always provided excellent service and first-rate repairs of the cars clutch and brakes--all at a fair price. The people who work there are a pleasure to deal with; in fact, I look forward to chatting with Rich and Jay whenever I drop off my car.I recommend Pacific Rim without hesitation, and Im confident you will be as happy with their work as I have been.
I moved up about a year ago with a Miata that was due for some significant work. Jay got everything patched up and has the car in better condition than its been in since i got it. The shop has reasonable hourly rates and clearly takes pride in their work. They always have a good turn around time on car work and a loaner if you need it. I wouldnt go anyplace else and I recommend them to any friend who hasnt been taking care of their car, trust them to be thorough and realistic about repairs / maintenance / price.
I live in Maine and while my daughter was in Seattle attending college, her Subaru Tribeca needed service several times. Pacific Rim called me each and every time to discuss the needed repairs, and I always felt assured that they take care of the customer first. Thank you Pacific Rim for taking care of my daughters vehicle in a timely, straight, and honest manner!!
We having been using Pacific Rim for several years and they are very trust worthy and upfront. We have a 2002 MDX and we hope to have it for several more years. We realize that we will have to invest in the car but we feel it is worth it. Pacific Rim usually gives us a heads up that a certain repair or replacement may be necessary in the near future. We feel like they have our best interest in mind. You can always call them if you have any questions. The staff is very personable and loaner cars are always available. We highly recommend Pacific Rim.
I cant say enough about these guys - Ive been a happy customer for over 10 years. They are trustworthy, competent, fair and very friendly. Im just sad that due to a new car purchase I wont see them for a few years. Thanks Rich & Jay for great service all these years
Take great care of me. And they know my name. Seriously. Ive been coming here for years and everyone remembers my name. How many folks come in here to get their car serviced everyday? And they always say hi Kevin. Its amazing and really kind of touching.
Pacific Rim is the ideal car shop. We have been taking our two cars, a Honda CRV and a Mini Cooper, there for 4 years and I would never go anywhere else. They provide the best car maintenance and repair service I have experience in the 40 years I have owned cars. First, the staff members who greet you are experienced, friendly, professional and extremely knowledgeable. They have explained things to me that have been extremely valuable and helpful. Sometimes a conversation with them feels like an episode of “Car Talk” on NPR. When I leave my car for service they always offer a loner. If repairs are needed they call promptly with a cost estimate and provide information about the necessity of the repairs and possible options. Most often, the service or repair is done in one day the cost is reasonable, and they do a complementary car wash. Once they gave me advice, replaced a break light, did not charge me anything and they still washed my car. I have never had any problems with work done at Pacific Rim. When I leave there, I have great confidence that all the work was done and done right.
Dual city living is stressful on my car and I ended up in Seattle when my car started acting up and I had to get back to Olympia. I called these guys a few minutes before their opening time thinking I had a slim chance of getting an answer much less getting my car in - and they answered and were really pleasant, got me in, fixed my car while I borrowed a friends car to get to my meetings for the day. My car was ready by early afternoon. They even washed it and vacuumed it. I wish I could remember the guys name (the one on the right side facing on the about us part of their site) was great. HIGHLY recommend. Go there even if you dont have a car issue :) no just kidding. But yeah, good place. This is my auto repair shop now.
Needed a new alternator in my Nissan Altima this guys gave me a great price and my car is running smoothly again.
Ive taken my car to Pacific Rim twice now. Both times it has been extremely easy to drop off my car, greeted by a very friendly and knowledgeable staff, and my car was available to be picked up by the end of the day. Plus, when I went to pick my car up they were kind enough to wash it! A definite plus. Extremely happy to have found such a great place so close to where I live.
Highly recommended by colleagues and Im glad I went. These guys were very nice and honest. My car is running great at a very reasonable price. Thank you, thank you! Referring my friends and family to this great place!
Pacific Rim has been my go-to shop for over 5 years. In that time they have performed all repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles - two Subarus and a Jeep. They continue to keep my business because the guys are always knowledgeable, fair and extremely professional. They maintain a small fleet of high-mileage (but dependable) loaner cars at no extra charge if you need one, and all work they do comes with a warranty. The only time I have ever had to use that warranty was due to a faulty replacement part, and it was taken care of immediately with no hassle. This is the place I always recommend to my friends!
Found Pacific rim auto through the internet. My Subaru was ready for a 40k maintenance schedule and they helped me with this. Quick service, upfront about prices and even provided a loaner vehicle. Solid shop!
Weve been bringing our our Toyota 4-runner, Subaru Forester and our old Mercedes here for several years have had nothing but great service every time. The guys who work here have been super helpful and friendly when we bring the cars in for little things like oil changes or big things like a new engine (for which they searched around to find a great deal on the part for us). Weve had many long conversations about pros and cons of different approaches to fixing or not fixing a problem and weve gotten excellent (and patient) advice and feedback from the Pacific Rim Auto guys. Several times Ive brought the car in for one thing and as I drive away I find that some other tiny thing I didnt even think to mention has also been fixed (for free). The mechanical work and the customer service here are excellent and as long as were in Seattle Ill never take our cars anywhere else! Plus, they like dogs and will give your canine copilot a treat if he comes with you to pick up your car :)
Pacific Rim Rocks! They have been taking care of me, and my car for over 6 years. I take my car in for maintenance, and bigger jobs. They offer great customer service every time. Not only are they super friendly, but when they are working on my car. they always call to let me know what they find- good or bad. They help me decide which issues I need to address ASAP, and which issues I can put off for a bit. As a woman, I appreciate that they dont talk down to me, and always make sure that all of my questions are answered. The team at Pacific Rim is thorough, dependable and make sure I am back in my car ASAP. If they do have to keep my car for a day or two, they always put me in a great loaner car! Thanks Jay and Rich!
I wasnt sure where to take my 2007 Audi A-4- especially since my other mechanic had disappeared. Well- I went to Pacific Rim Auto and was met with amazing customer service- my car was taken the same day I called, I was provided a free loaner and the next day I was back on the road with my car humming along like brand new. I was very pleased with my experience and will go recommend Pacific Rim to my friends and family.
I have been taking my 96 Subaru Outback exclusively to Pacific Rim Auto for over a year and have never been disappointed. Theyve done just about all the work there is to do on my car...engine, transmission, clutch, drivetrain. These guys stand by their work and their warranty. The free loaner car service is also extremely helpful.I have recommended them to friends and will continue to do so going forward.
I have received excellent service from Pacific Rim. I recently switched to them from a shop Ive used for years. I was reluctant to try a new place, but the location made better sense for me. I was not sorry. Free loaner cars; easy drop off; fast and excellent service; mellow environment. I couldnt be happier with the service Ive gotten. Thanks Pacific Rim!
I have been going to Pacific Rim for years and only have good things to say about their service and work. I have a 2000 Subaru with plenty of miles on it. They make sure she is safe and I have never felt pressured to do work that isnt absolutely necessary. They talk through all work and are never patrionizing. Yes their prices are higher than some other shops but that is because it is quality and completely reliable. I have moved jobs and now go out of my way to take my car to them. My next vehicle will be a make that they work on so that I can continue to work with people I trust.
I have been going to these guys for 10 years and never had a bad experience. Today I had to have a tail light assembly replaced and they did it in 15 minutes. Excellent people and excellent service.
Ive been a customer of theres for at least 8 years. They are honest, reliable, on time, on budget, offer free loaner cars, and wash my car every time I take it in for a service. I recommend them highly.
Great shop, honest employees.
Who thought getting a car fixed could be fun? At Pacific Rim, we laughed and joked PLUS they are excellent at their craft and very professional. I used to go to the local dealership – it was worse than the dentist: the staff sat behind the computer and printed out the list of what was wrong and I felt judged. At Pacific Rim, I walked in and talked to Rich (and he wasn’t staring at a computer), we had a few laughs, he took my keys and then followed up with a very nice phone call (with some humor and care) – and then they did the work and were done on time! Yay!
I really like this place. I feel like theyre honest with their estimates and can always fit me in for an appointment. Yesterday i found a nail in my tire before i headed out of town and they had no problem fitting me in that same day. They even replaced my headlamp that i had been procrastinating to change. I get my oil changed here too. Its my favorite neighborhood repair shop.
After having some meh experiences with mechanics for my 97 Subaru, this shop was a breath of fresh air. They are honest, friendly, and helpful... I know little about cars but Rich helped break things down for me in a way I could understand, and helped me prioritize repairs and maintenance based on my budget. Free loaner car is a huge plus!As a sidenote, there was an issue with my car getting damaged while in their possession (NOT the shops fault!! Another driver from the community hit the car... Long story.) Rich and the crew were SO helpful in helping me make decisions about what to repair and how to do it cheaply but safely. I was so glad that they were the shop I was dealing with when it happened. They even let me use the loaner for an extended weekend (this happened around Christmas) even though they werent technically fixing my car at the time.Bottom line: super helpful, honest, friendly, and easy to work with. I suggest them to all my friends (who are always stoked when they actually go!)
After finding out our water pump was needing repair, we called around to a few shops and Pacific Rim had the best quote. On top of that, they provide loaner cars free of charge. The repair was done in less than 24 hours and everyone was responsive and friendly.
Ive been taking my 2004 Subaru to the guys at Pacific Rim since 2012. They allow me to schedule via email, always provide prompt and courteous service, and offer candid advice about whether and when to fix components that are in danger of wearing out. And they always offer me a loaner car. All 5-star experiences.
I brought in my Subaru for an alignment, not only did they do a perfect job in just a few hours, but they replaced a broken o-ring on my power steering pump reservoir and put roll pins in both my front CV axles because mine were missing. The alignment was an deal to begin with. This is definitely the best customer experience Ive ever had in any business, ever.
They definitely overcharged me and did everything they could to scare me into buying a bunch of repairs for my car that were completely unnecessary. The repairs were done in a timely fashion and they did it correctly but it was way too expensive and i didnt appreciate them trying to take advantage of me.
I have taken my Subaru here several times. Great customer service and the work has always been finished on time. I recommend this place for oil changes to more extensive work.
