Called to schedule an appointment for what should be a straight forward repair and dealt with one of the rudest folks I’ve ever had the pleasure of dealing with. At least they didn’t waste my time because they hung up on me in under 20 seconds after interrupting to tell me they don’t have the time. I’ll go somewhere else

Set up a simple oil change with ERIC 2 weeks ago. He was very rude and unprofessional. Had to cancel because they asked to change time for an appointment I set up *2 weeks in advance*. Going to grease monkey instead. This place is a joke.

This place is hands down one of the best businesses. I came in with a lugnut so awful i really thought the whole wheel would have to be replaced but they managed it like the experts they are and in less than an hour it wss off. Thank you my Midas guys for your hard work and dedication. You guys are the best..

Great experience. I got estimates from two other mechanics before going to them. They took one look at it, adjusted and tightened a bit, and I was all set to go! Saved me several hundred dollars. Manager Eric knows what hes talking about and was very helpful.

Terrible company to deal with. They gave me my car back and told me that it’s fixed when the issue I came with still was there. I came back to them in one day, and they did another estimation for hundreds of dollars saying that apparently they fixed something else, not something that actually needed to be fixed. Their employee Eric is rude, unprofessional, and careless. I had to call their customer service and they refunded my money in a few days.

Had my muffler done in April and had a good experience. I recently had my oil change with them with good service as well. Chris and Eric were both accommodating. Ill be a regular at this location. Great crew 👏 👍😀

I needed to see what was wrong with a loose heat shield on my car. They determined it was rusted through, told me I didn’t need the shield, and removed it for me free of charge. They easily could have charged something but didn’t. I will come back again since I don’t have to worry about them ripping me off in the future!

Just purchased a 2000 Honda Civic was making noise took to Midas in Ballard, Eric the service manager had the car up on the lift diagnosed that it needed a new muffler had it installed within an hour and a half the car is quiet now not making loud noise and his work crew was very professional .... They got me in quick but didnt listen to what I had to say. The guy was baffled by my engine problems that I had paperwork to prove. He couldnt figure out what mechanic paperwork was trying to tell him. For real? Yes, a mechanic trying to work on a car with notes from previous mechanics and he still cant get a clue.He ended up fixing something that wasnt the issue and sent me on my way after making me pay $300. $300 for NOT FIXING MY ISSUE. Such a rip off.Ladies go somewhere else. This place will lay you out to dry. Im not someone that usually falls for tricks but these people do not quit. Save your money and ho somewhere else. I dont have any place to send you but trust me and do not visit here.

I highly recommend against this shop.We knew a problem with the car that a different place couldnt get to when we were out of town, and that was our main concern. But we had a couple other codes that would come back, just different cylinders with different engine replacements. They chose to only do a simple spark ignition replacement on the easy front side of a V6... something I could have done faster and cheaper. They bullied my girlfriend into not solving the main problem, and they saw the previous repair paperwork and ignored it apparently.Pros:-None?Cons:-Expensive-Bully you-SlyEither take my 2 Cents (I have many reviews) or find out for yourself.

I had a last minute issue and was squeezed in and everyone was so great and helpful!! I didnt catch anyones name because Im a bad human but I will most definitely be coming here for all my car troubles in the future!

Really happy with the customer service provided by Eric and the team working at Ballard Midas. Had a few things wrong with car and the team was patient to do the work and take car back to fix when it wasn’t working perfectly.

Exceptional service from the second I called! Chris is truly an asset to this company. Its hard to find an honest mechanic, Ive been here three times and even brought my boyfriends car in too. They always call back when they say they will and its clear they value customer loyalty!

Seems to do good work at reasonable prices, and expectations are always set accurately. They do their best to accommodate when time is a factor. Im taking most of my cars here regularly.

Ive been to the Midas in Ballard a number of times now - oil changes, some other projects. My vehicle has 297K miles, so it takes some effort to make everything work. EVERY time Ive been there, Ive been VERY happy with the whole shop. Theyre nice, friendly, efficient, and they do fine work.I recommend them to anyone, they really know what they are doing.

Eric was fair and very professional

Good Service, I got my new tires mounted and balance and they took the time to make sure I wanted white lettering on the inside of my tires. They also took extra time to switch out the correct lug nuts for my new rims which used a specific lug nut, (I did not know this). The prices are comparable to other nearby shops and they apparently do every kind of engine work, not just tires and brakes.

Place wouldnt install exhaust on one car, then wouldnt work on another vehicle because it had a breathlyzer in it . . . Some mechanic! Basically turned into excuses saying we dont have enough staff to work on a vehicle. Take your ride somewhere that has employees who know how to work on cars. Simple.

Awesome experience at this Midas. Even though it ended up being a more costly repair than I expected, the service was amazing and prompt, accommodating and honest about what I did and didnt need (and why each thing was or wasnt important now). They even did a few extras just because. Will certainly be going back!

Quick and efficient service during the covid-19 crisis, had my oil changed and car inspected.

Schedule two oil changes and was turned away both days on my arrival. The first time I was lied to saying the system crashed then the next time they admitted they just didnt have the staff to do it. If thats the case dont confirm my appointment days in advance.

I called all the local Midas Shops for an oil change with tire rotation. This location was the only one that gave me a time to bring my vehicle in. Josh was a great help, allowing me my discount after I had forgotten my coupon. Also changed out 3 burnt lights I had with minimal costs. The mechanic that did the work was nice and well informed. Thanks guys.

Never again. Total ripoff. I called to get a quote for front and back breaks. Not only did they charge me more than quoted, but before commencing work, I reiterated that I wanted both front and back breaks done. They assured me all the breaks were being done. After I paid, they revealed theyd only done the front breaks. They now refuse to honor their quote and do the back breaks, and even withheld the original paperwork. The other quotes I received were half the price of what they charge. Take back your stupid breaks and refund my money if you cant honor your word Midas! Anywhere is better than this place.

Today was my first time using this shop and WOW I am now a customer for life. I have a 2016 Mazda and took it into another local place to have my oil changed/get a general check-up -- this other spot suggested I come back within the next few months to replace my battery/engine filter. Flash forward to today -- before going back to shop #1, I decided to shop around a bit more and landed on Midas. Not only was their customer service easy and kindhearted (hi Chris!), it turns out that my battery AND filter were still in perfectly fine shape and DIDNT need to be replaced at all, ah! Had I gone back to shop #1, I wouldve spent hundreds of dollars on something(s) that didnt even need to be replaced.All of this to say -- I appreciate their honesty, transparency of pricing, professionalism, and explanation. When the day does come that I need a new battery (etc.), Midas is the only place Im heading!Thank you x a milli!

I had gotten a flat tire in the middle of my delivery shift. I tried the flat repair kit that comes with my car, only to find the hole was awfully big and no help. I made it to Midas off 15th near Ballard. They took my car in and fixed it right up. I was so thankful they could fit it and do it in a timely manner. They went above and beyond regular service. I would highly recommend them for your car needs! Thanks Chris and crew!

I had great service for my tires. I have had issues before with being sold what I do not need by other companies. I will be back for service when I need it.

Ive brought my car to this shop 3 times now. They have always been very accomodating and helpful and even this go around, same thing. However, this go around I got a call saying I would have to change my battery, I said I would have to do it another time due to funds. Sure enough when I picked up my car my car sputtered like it never had before which really stressed me out. I got home, went inside, about an hour later I had to leave again. My car acted totally normal and has ever since and thats been roughly 3 weeks ago. So mechanic error or a way to try and get me to spend more money I dont have? Makes me second guess putting my trust in them

I have been taking my vehicles to this shop for five years for oil changes and small work. This is another Ballard secret gem. Every once in awhile, they have half-price deals which are fantastic. These guys do thorough work. When your vehicle leaves this place after an oil change you will KNOW whether your brakes are indeed good, if your serpentine belt is good, if your tires are good. They really check stuff and top off fluids unlike many other shops. They even have recent New Yorkers to read while you wait! Enuf awready, your car is gonna love this place!

Price gouging and low quality work.

Was told 2hrs for brakes service. Took 5.5 hours. Understaffed and techs making excuses (got to go to a funeral). Systems are so strict that it took them 45minutes, to cash me out!
