The first time we took our 2003 SL Mercedes to the German Auto Center, we had a great experience. They did a general overall maintenance check. They were communicative, on time and reasonably priced. This is not the experience we just had with them. We experienced a problem with our front ABC suspension. As this is a relatively known issue,we had purchased after market struts in case the ABC went bad. We asked that they replace the original system with our struts. Initially they said that it wouldnt be a problem, should only take a day and to bring it in the next day, a Tuesday. We were quoted over the phone $770 for the job. We dropped it off expecting a call that afternoon. It didnt come. We called the next day and the front desk gentleman said he didnt have any information, but promised hed call back. By Friday we still hadnt heard anything, so again we called. It turns out that the after market struts we had only fit the front, not the back and they were having trouble getting the two different systems to work together. We were promised a call on Monday, it didnt come again. Tuesday we called, yet again a promise to call back. It didnt come again. Wednesday we called, asked to speak with the mechanic. He did get on the phone to explain that they had also ordered after market struts as Mercedes doesnt make the others any longer. He also promised to call the next day, he did not. Friday we called, spoke with the mechanic and the problem evidently was not the ABC suspension system at all, a hydraulic hose had broken in the front left and thats what caused all the problems. They would have to order the part and then do the repair. We determined the original suspension system should go back on so that the cars computer system would work properly. I was asked to call back on Monday as they no longer would assure me that they would call me. From Tuesday on, every call that was made we asked for a cost estimate, or would it be the same. The front desk gentleman could not give me one, he didnt have any idea what the cost would be. Needless to say we were anxious about what it would be. We called Monday, they had gotten the part and assured me that it would be done that day, still no estimate was available, but wed get a call with it. At the end of Monday, we had to call back again. They were just finishing the final check but it would take awhile, so it would be ready in the morning. Still no estimate. We called at noon, assured that they would be done momentarily and wed get a call back. Three hours later, he called. The final cost $2,720.54! I was apologized to, told that they were extremely busy and the front desk gentleman was overwhelmed. He also said that he had quoted us $1,500 originally. We were never given a written estimate. We asked if they had done a diagnostic at the beginning and if they had found the broken hydraulic line then. Never got a clear answer to that, but it seems if they had, we would have been called that they didnt need to put new struts on, just fix the broken line. Needless to say, this was one of the worst experiences weve had with a car repair. The lack of communication, the increased time and costs are ridiculous.

The best doesn’t even begin to describe them. They were extremely busy and still were able to fit me in. My car was done in 1 day and runs like a dream. They threw in several checks and some small parts all without charging me. I’ll be returning here for all my auto needs. Incredible crew. They are passionate about what they do and it shows

Called them on Friday and got an appointment for next Thursday. The guy in the front told me he will get the fix done by the end of the day and calls me when he diagnoses the issue. Didnt get a call on Thursday. When I called back on Friday to see whats happening, he said theyve had too many things going on and couldnt even look at my car. He didnt even call me to tell me this. If you are used to being treated professionally, avoid this business at all costs.

I stopped in almost at closing time to see if they could scan the computer system to see if the vehicle I just got was good. I have a 1998 BMW 323I, it also had a tail light out. They didnt turn me away, they took me in and went above and beyond. They topped the car off and checked it out and said it was in good condition and the tail light was fixed. When I went to pay them, they said it was no charge!!! I couldnt believe that! Thank you so much! I left and thought I wouldnt be back for a couple months. However that next day I was driving in the rain and not used to the vehicle, I crashed my car on 405 in the pouring down rain. I was safe and the vehicle wasnt too badly damaged. I took it back to the shop and they couldnt believe that happened to me. I was in some pain as well from the accident and instead of walking to 711 to get some tylenol, they gave me some. They said I had cracked my spare radiator tank and would need to keep the vehicle over night and would cost something of 600 I think. I wasnt working at the time and wasnt getting unemployment benefits either. I told them of my hardship and they offered me a secretary job and cut the price down the lowest they could get it. 🙏 They didnt know me, didnt have to do this, but they showed compassion and empathy to me when I was in need of it! I am now fully employed, however not with them. I appreciate them and the service they offer and that they have never once turned me away and always make me feel they go above and beyond to meet my vehicles needs! I appreciate all the mechanics and what they have done and continue to work on my vehicle! Thank you gentlemen and thank you so much Jori 🙏

Highly recommend to come take their service ! my guy Yuri was being very helpful with my 2009 bmw 328i even though we had to transfer it to the dealership because the problem was too major major that was out of their hands. But still being very communicative with the dealership during the process of transferring.

Great customer service. Took time to answer all questions, explain options. Could have easily taken me for a ride like our friends at the dealership were trying to but gave honest professional opinion that no maintenance is required. If you are out of warranty go here vs. dealership unless you like to pay $ hundreds more for free coffee in the lobby.

My VW beetle was hard to start and one time, it started but it didnt drive. So I had to tow the car down to German Auto Center. It was very nice of them to accept my car last minute. Jori was very knowledgable, honest and helpful. Turned out the crank sensor (that the dealership told me they had that changed in Feb21) was very bad, so German Auto changed it for real this time. I am happy my car is drivable again and Thank you so so much, Jori and the crews for helping and advising me about my car.I will recommend this place to my friends and I will def go back there again!

Was a little iffy at first just because of the changing in dates of when i could take my bmw in but as soon i got there i was greeted with friendliness, and professionalism. But on top of that it didnt take too long for car to be diagnosed and to get my check engine light to turn back off. Also they where able to drop my car off to me after they got done with work which really helped me alot. But definitely will be coming back again.

Jori is the main man involved in customer service. He answers the phones and coordinates scheduling and details the information about your car and the services. He’s the best! He’s honest, laid back, and nice. I don’t feel like I’m a burden or being scammed like most mechanics I’ve been to. If Jori isn’t there, one of the other mechanics will jump in and help! And they are also very nice and helpful. I had some difficult issues with my coolant system and they fixed it up! Since my car is old, I’ve gone back for other minor issues like my ac/heating unit and they were great every time. Highly recommend and they have a loyal customer in me.

These guys are great. They really know what theyre doing, are honest and will make it right if they mess up. Ive been taking my MB Sprinter 4x4 van there occasionally and this time it needed brakes all around plus a few more things. And it ended up being way more work than it should have been -- no fault of the folks at German Auto Center. They just did it, no whining.

German Auto Center is the most reliable, honest, car caring establishment that I want to share with everyone, I have 3 BMWs that I only take to them. The mechanics are diligent, meticulous, and honest. Exactly the character of person you want fixing your car. The owner is professional, VERY knowledgeable about European cars and Im humbled and greatful they fix my car when I bring it in.

If you drive a European car this is the place to go for any mechanical problems. I even go here for my oil changes. You know they will be honest with your car problems and they won’t gouge you on pricing and your car will be taken care of. This is literally the only non-dealer shop in Seattle I trust taking my Bimmer to.One time I came in here the evening before a long road trip I had scheduled for the next morning for an oil-change and they discovered an oil leak that would take hours to repair. And even though they were supposed to close in 15 minutes and it was a 5-6 hour job, one of the guys stayed late and fixed my issue because he was empathetic to my situation. It was seriously world-class service and I will never forget that. I cannot recommend these guys enough.

Because of that, these are the guys I bring my car to when the job gets too big for me to handle in my garage. They service rare and complicated cars as well as your daily driver. Can’t recommend this place enough.We worked with David he was very easy to work with and very friendly.I couldn’t feel more comfortable. This place is a life safer. They are very reliable and trustworthy. He was very knowledgeable and provided me with the right tools and information. I forget the fellows exact name, but Jura (?) Was simply the best, most informative and friendliest mechanic Ive ever come across. They have made us customers for life! Super knowledgeable about sprinter vans, and they were kind enough to show me a thing or two under the hood before we left. All this while working after hours!

Great communication on what they found wrong with the transmission on my 2012 Passat TDI and what they intended to do to fix it. Ended up throwing in the part I needed and doing a coolant flush FOR FREE! Highly recommend, will come here again if I have issues in the future. They saved me almost $300

I had a great experience at German auto repair. I came to get the levels of my car fluids checked. I was met with exceptional service and great prices. And employee by the name of Jouri Helped me very quickly and I was on my way. I also had a right light Headlight Problem in my Mercedes. Jouri quickly solved the problem and I didn’t even have to set an appointment. I give this company five stars.

I called them yesterday an hour before they closed and asked if I could bring my car by to get checked out, expecting there would be at least a few days wait. They told me to bring it in right away and when I got there, I explained the symptoms and they diagnosed it right away as well and by this morning they had the issue resolved and the car ready to go, and with a very reasonable rate. Friendly and professional as well. Couldnt be more pleased.

I dealt with Jori when he inspected my sprinter for a pre purchase inspection and he was super informative and friendly. He’s got me thinking I should move to Seattle he was so friendly. It’s been awhile since I’ve had that kind of service.

I stopped by the shop as my car’s lights and blinkers weren’t working. They quickly checked my car and told me I need to change the battery. I didn’t have to make an appointment and the service was quick and reliable. Super friendly staff and really great customer service. I will definitely be back to service my car here from now on. Had a great experience with this shop while travelling through Seattle.They diagnosed a problem on my 2006 Sprinter Van. They had to hustle to find the part & they put it in quickly. Walked me through the damaged part, replacement, etc. Seemed knowledgeable and had some good DIY maintenance tips to keep shop costs down in the future. I appreciated their insight. Good communicators too.

Yori was very knowledgeable and helpful. I had my front left wheel bearing brake. It needed a lot of work. They fixed it at a great cost and did it very fast.I told them I was about to driving across the country, they did a full inspection and filled up and tighten everything for free. I took my Sprinter in for a check engine light. I was greeted by a nice guy named Eric. As I checked my car in I could tell he was very busy. Then he offered to drive me home. A couple of hours later he called me. He gave me a quote and then he picked me up. It was the most fun I’ve ever had at an auto shop. My family has 3 other German cars. We will all be taking our cars there.

This is a great place to bring your BMW!I have an older 525i that was very neglected by the previous owners and has needed a lot of work, some of which Ive done myself and some that I couldnt do and so of all the places Ive taken my cars to, this is by far the best one yet. This shop in my opinion has good pricing and they seemed very honest and the work they did on my car a few weeks ago was excellent. I have other issues i need to take care of on my car and this is the only shop I feel confident to go to now. I definitively recommend this place to anyone!

I saw the high ratings and decided to go with them to replace water sensor on 2009 Porsche Cayenne. The got the part in less than 24 hours and installed very next day. The repair took longer than expected and they let me take a loaner car. I feel that the repair was done professionally and am pleased with results. Thank you.

Ive only been a customer twice but both times I was satisfied with their service and didnt feel like I was getting scammed or overcharged. I have a VW and my normal mechanic doesnt touch them and recommended this place. I had a weird thing happen with my car and needed answers quickly. I called them and they said come on in. I went and he dropped what he was doing to do a short drive with me and quickly found out the problem and didnt charge me. Id recommend them for VWs and guess theyre as good with other German brands as well! Tough parking lot is my only complaint.

This place has been great to me. Power steering was going out so I brought them my bimmer to be fixed. I had to go to school and they gave me a ride and even offered a ride back since I wouldnt be able to get back without my car. They have competitive prices for labor and they knew instantly what the problem was with my car and how to fix it. P.s. wayyy cheaper than going to bmw mechanics for the same expertise and original new parts. Thanks German Auto Center!!

Do Not come here, they are hacks when IT comes to auto repair. They say theyre using factory parts when they are buying low grade cheap parts off of ebay and charging you for high end quality parts.

Guys did a great job.

These guys are terrible. Dont ever come to this shop. When I brought my car here they quoted me $2000 and I got a second opinion and they told me I only needed to repair a valve cap and a hose $250 later my car was fixed. Dont trust these people le they are obviously scammers! Take your business elsewhere!
