Excellent service. My new Audis tire blew a week after purchase. Tim helped me make a decision about what to replace it with, even offering to measure the tread so I could consider replacing just the one tire. No up-selling, no price gouging. A great experience, and I will be back for sure. A trustworthy mechanic you can trust.
The man I spoke with was extremely professional. Got me scheduled for an appointment quickly. I have a good feeling about this place. Will follow up on my future experiences. He even went out of his way to give me my license plate number when I called and asked for it because the vehicle was at home and I couldnt remember it. So ii called him and asked and he helped me with that. Very kind!
I love this place! Its the only mechanic I go to since moving to Seattle 8 yrs ago because they are fair, friendly, and caring. As a woman, its often a demoralizing experience to go to a mechanic but I have to say Courtesy Tire is the only mechanic Ive ever been to that didnt hit on me, overcharge me, or make me feel uncomfortable in any way. They will treat you like family every time, I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you!!!
As much of a pain in the butt it is to take care of car stuff, Courtesy Tire makes it pretty easy. The front office is professional and all my services are performed the same day. Good job yall.
Came in for a tire patch after I developed a slow leak on a road trip. They patched it and were very friendly. The next week the same tire resumed leaking, they took care of it right away and found a second nail. Will definitely come back for future maintenance.
I got a screw in my tire and Courtesy Tire was the closest shop. I’m so glad that was the case! Kelly was wonderful to talk to and did a far less expensive repair than was originally quoted - in only about an hour. I don’t know anything about cars and I’m always worried about being taken advantage of - definitely not the case here! I’ll be coming back any time I need auto repairs in the future!
My car had a flat tire so I was towed to this shop on 12/07/2020. The people at the shop were friendly enough and they said I should buy new front tires which I agreed. They said it will take a couple of hours but when I got there two hours later my car was still at the same spot. They said it will be another 20/30 mins and I was okay with it. I waited nearby so I waited and I took my car and drive off due to the fact that I was an hour from home. On my way home I realised my tire PSI was not balanced attached there is a photo. I called the shop while driving and reported the same, the guy was no longer friendly at this moment and the money was already in the bank 235.85 so goodbye customer. Despite him knowing I lived far and my car just broke down, he was telling me to take the car back for adjustment, maybe their machine doesnt work, they havent had such a complain again, they must have put the air based on my car, the tire got hot and so many excuses. I expressed how disappointed I was because they even interfered with my back tires and that was not the problem. My disappointment is this is a tire shop and they should makes sure after 235.85 the tires are up to par and not do a mediocre job and expect that they are dealing with stupid and not someone who knows what they want.Im not saying avoid this shop Im putting this review for them to improve on after service.
My family has been taking our vehicles here for 20 years and just in the past few years the quality of the employees working here has declined. Unless you have the opportunity to work with Tim or Kelly, Im sorry. The customer service of the other employees is terrible. They are rude on the phone and dont do what weve asked. We love Tim and Kelly and continue to support this business because of them.
GREAT GREAT GREAT place to take your car. Reasonable, they dont add stuff you dont need and their staff is super friend. Works with you well. I highly recommend Courtesy Tire over all the other places around Here. they fixed our old Volvo 1995 850 and even the transmission feels like new.
Had a great experience at Courtesy. They swapped out my stock tires for larger ones and did a perfect job balancing my newer heavier ones. Highly recommend. Transparent about the work they did and the price was great.
They are courtesy they consider what needs and they give you the price, their work is excellent.
Amazing customer service. Thoroughly explains everything they want to do and why. Very upfront about everything. Price is probably right in line with the average, which is great considering their quality of service. Wouldnt dream of trying another shop
Tim @ Courtesy Tire took care of my needs for my 2000 Dodge Ram. His professionalismand care to ensure a job is done to customer satisfaction really shows. The shops attention to keeping an owners vehicle interior clean and grease free is outstanding. Thanks guys!Keep up the good work.☮️
Honesty in a mechanic is a huge deal and tough to find. These guys have proven their integrity over the years and yet again on this most recent project. New wheels, tires and leveling kit and the end result is exactly what I was looking for. More importantly their communication and follow through was excellent.
Love these guys! Had a nail in our tire that required new tires all around. Tim helped us get tires for our Silverado the next day. Unfortunately a few months later a nail hit our new tire (damn Delridge construction). Brought it in and they were able to repair the hole same day. Such great service from Ray this time. This is our new go-to tire place.
Bad standard operating procedure when diagnosing a VTec solenoid code. Most mechanics would change your oil first if they notice it’s low or dirty, however these guys charged an additional $150 to run a diagnostics test first just to determine that the oil needed changing. Either bad mechanics or bad SOP.
The best shop in the Puget Sound area without even a tiny bit of exaggeration. Tim and Kelly are a class act! Anytime I have a problem thats above my head, they figure it out everytime, without fail. I hate taking my vehicles to the shop, but honestly enjoy anytime I take it to them. I leave with a smile on my face, ALWAYS. Thank you gentlemen. You continue to breathe life into our geriatric ol girl! Its always a pleasure!
Not just for tires. I had them replace a headlight and they we speedy and friendly. Always a pleasure to do business with this establishment
This is by far one of the best auto shops in the city I would highly recommend anybody that wants great service at a fair price come check this place out
Always polite and courteous.
You set an appointment and they dont get to you on time. Stood there for over a half an hour then found out that the tires werent there after assuring me they were. Decided to go to competitor and get tires installed. They were installed and on time. The men working the counter were very nice but obviously overwhelmed with people. Not enough help and not enough installers.
Friendliest staff and best service, especially tires and brakes, but they can do almost everything. Call ahead and make an appointment
Fast and convenient which is exactly what I need with a busy daily schedule. Appreciate the team at Courtesy Tire for being flexible with drop-offs and pickups. Dont know why I would have service done anywhere else!
Super nice and helpful, they also communicate really well!
These guys are great. Kelly and Glenn run a very clean friendly shop. They are always willing to help you out as best as they can and my service is always spot on. If there is a problem, they will fix it. Thanks guys!Oh and the review about parking that is posted here... This is seattle, its hard to find parking and real-estate to provide it. The parking lot is always full because they are ALWAYS busy. They do great service so everybody wants them. If there is nowhere to park just park in front of the shop doors. They will take it from there. I have been here when there arent any cars and the employees all walk to work except 2 cars.
Every time I have taken my work vehicle to this repair shop. Nothing but the best service. Totally reliable. Great customer service. The staff is so cool. You definitely will develop a relationship with all of them. Good job! Kelly, Blaine, Tim and all the service technicians. Trust them 100%
Glenn and Kelly run a great shop in West Seattle! Took my older euro BMW there for an alignment and Bob did an excellent job. Its a busy place but the waiting area is comfortable and clean. Theres a reason courtesy is in their name and they certainly lived up to it! Ill be taking more work there in the future!
I’ve come to courtesy tire several times over the last four years and every time they have been not just fair but honest. Most recently I got a flat in Tacoma and the Firestone there tried to sell me two new tires siting sidewall damage and issues getting the right size. Luckily I didn’t take the bait and brought my car back to courtesy tire where they repaired my ONE tire, free of charge with no pushing of an up sell...just great customer service! I love Kelly and his team, always honest and great to work with!!
Best, most reliable and honest auto mechanic in Seattle.
Prompt and excellent service!
Courtesy Tire is amazing. When the 1991 Escort I use as a ferry commuter car overheated in the ferry line, I managed to limp up to Courtesy because it was close-by and well-rated. They were helpful, fair, thorough, and kind (especially Kelly who was our main contact), even when we had to take a few days to decide how to proceed with a car in need of some serious help. If I lived in West Seattle I would use them exclusively. They ARE that good. Highly highly recommended.
Love Courtesy tire, they take the very best care of my car. Thats why I drive a firestone!!!
I went here because another tire shop did not do a good job fixing my leaky tires. These guys did a great job and my tires are still holding air after a few weeks, which was not what happened at the other place. Thanks guys, I really appreciate it.
Honest and helpful! I was pricing out tires and I didnt buy from Courtesy but they were honest as we discussed my options and their pricing. I will come back to them in the future because of the excellent service I received over the phone today.
Got a nail in my tire. No one else could get me in till the end of the week and they got me in tonight. Great guys that just got a customer for life!
I absolutely love this place theyre the nicest people Ive ever met and youre so kind to me its so friendly
Ive been getting my car serviced here for several years. I am consistently impressed with how they run their business. What sticks out most is that they never upsell and they have very clear explanations of what a problem is/why a service might be necessary. The quality of their work and their communication is also great.Their prices are very reasonable (and Ive shopped around for oil changes and tires). Ive recommended Courtesy Tire to my parents and friends because they are honest and do good work.(I also posted this review on Yelp).
I have always taken my cars to these guys. They do perfect work every time and are extremely professional! Tim and Kelly are really nice and very knowledgeable when it comes to what you need. Ive never had a bad experience.
Great service and helpful staff.
Excellent customer service, well trusted and fair. One time my 16yr daughter old locked herself out of her car at 7-11 with the engine running (I know🙄) They unlocked her door and she was distraught. Customer for life
Is hard to find a trustworthy mechanic anywhere. I was a grease monkey for about a decade and then got out of the industry. If i have to take my car to a shop, this is the place i take it to.
Ray also very helpful.
My husband and I recently had a really nice experience with the staff at this establishment. they were very helpful, didn’t overcharge, and were quick to fix our problem. thanks so much! we will be back!
From flats to more serious work, weve brought our cars here for years. Weve always received great, reasonable quick service. All the folks weve ever dealt with have been courteous (hence the name!) and honest.
Honest, Helpful, and Prompt. I had a wheel I needed replaced due to hitting a pothole, my tires were in great shape so just needed the 1 front wheel replaced. I went over to Les Schwab and they tried to sell me on 4 new tires suggesting we cant change the wheel, since the tire is damaged (it wasnt). Courtesy Tire took a look, inspected the replacement wheel I purchased and replaced the wheel in less than 1hr, no gimmicks, no problem. Amazing, and glad there are honest people out there, will do business with them when I actually need new tires.
Safe place to get service during COVID.
Courtesy Tire is our family go to tire shop in West Seattle. Kelly and Tim at the front desk are great knowledgeable guys. They have worked on many of our cars and always communicate with you all the way through the job. I highly recommend this shop for anything tire related and car maintenance work.-Brian R.
Courtesy Tire in West Seattle is where Ive been taking my vehicles for years now and will continue to do so. Tim and Kelly run an outstanding business with an excellent reputation. I have a 20+ year old pick-up truck that is a bit high maintenance these days. But Courtesy Tire reps recommend the most important services to keep my vehicle reliable for me and it always comes out of the shop running great. Their prices are very competitive and their customer service is excellent. It doesnt matter who you deal with - theyre all very competent. I highly recommend you take your vehicle to Courtesy Tire right here in West Seattle!
Exceptional experience! Great service, issue fixed promptly. Could not be more grateful to have found this place. Especially appreciate Tim and Adam. Awesome find!
I really like the staff at Courtesy tire because of their genuine, friendly and honest service attitude with their customers. Thanks for your help and support over the years.
My family has been bringing our cars here for years and I have never had anything but a good experience. They are always friendly and honest and the work they do usually costs much less than I initially expect. If they are unable to help they refer to someone else nearby who they trust and it treats you well.
Two decades a loyal customer, never once a negative experience, they have top notch nailed down!!And the decor is pretty cool too!
My tires situation wasn’t up to par in my Dad’s opinion so he recommended that I go to Courtesy Tire. I figured if he was sending me there without his company he must really trust these guys. I can see why. They were up front about costs and they replaced my two front tires within minutes. Everyone was friendly and professional. I’ll start recommending them too. Thanks Dad and thanks Courtesy Tire. Signed…Another customer for life.
Ive taken my car here a couple times now, and this shop is fantastic. Both times, theyve taken care of what I asked for without any fuss, havent tried to upsell me, and theyve gone out of their way to be helpful. Highly recommend Courtesy Tire.
These guys are great!
Amazing place! They take care of their customers. I just had my vehicle in for service, not only did they charge a very fair price, but they went above and beyond to address a warranty issue. This is how to treat your customers!
Ive been coming to Courtesy Tire for 20+ years. Kelly, Tim, & the rest of the staff are great. Excellent service, good prices, honest. I now live in Ballard, & continue to take my car here. I wouldnt trust it with anyone else.
These guys are great. I got an alignment done without an appointment, they managed to squeeze me in. Kelly in the front is great. And Dave did my alignment, he really knows his stuff. If you need an alignment, ask for Dave!
After two RAVING reviews from trusted friends, I called Kelly at Courtesy to ask him about some services another mechanic had quoted/diagnosed for me. Just talking to him over the phone put me at ease immediately, and when I dropped the car off, he knew who I was and came right to me to talk everything over. He has been so helpful and the service is extremely economical when compared to services quoted at a dealership. He ranked my cars needs by importance and didnt push me to have anything done that I couldnt afford.Ive had more than my share of the look here, little lady attitude when it comes to car service, and I didnt experience a speck of that here. What an all-around great experience!
The front desk personnel is very courteous and polite, knowledgeable and not pushy. The mechanic David Snyder went out of his way to make sure I know my options before I made my decision and suggested tire change. I did not know the tires were that bad. All that at a very reasonable price
Best popcorn ever!! Seriously. Always clean, amazing customer service. Tim and Glen are fabulous, ready for ya when you arrive, for whatever you need all with a smile. Did I mention the popcorn, seriously. Try that awesomesness.
Always friendly and helpful. Ive been a customer for 10 years and they have earned that loyalty with their fantastic service.
Great people that work there. Fast & honest work done
Very friendly service and inexpensive. An oil change cost me $30. If I got it anywhere else, it would have been at least $50.
Kelly and his crew have been servicing my vehicles for over 20 years. Honest service. Above and beyond. Highly recommend for service in West Seattle.
I cannot recommend these guys highly enough.Theyve been our go to place for any auto work since we moved to West Seattle 3 years ago and have never had anything other than exceptional, friendly, professional service. Blaine is a rockstar and the entire team is A+.Very highly recommended
I have been taking my car to Courtesy Tire in West Seattle for 5 years for everything from routine oil change to squeaks, bumps, clunks and leaks. My experience has always been positive. I appreciate that they tell me what work is necessary, what I can wait on and my options in all situations. I feel that they work with tremendous integrity and am confident in referring Courtesy Tire to family and friends.
Best place to take your car. They are honest.
Reasonable costs and very trustworthy service.
Fair honest and fast. I love bringing my cars to them.
I feel so passionately about this place that I actually opened a Google+ account just to write a review. Seriously. And I hate social media..If I could give these guys 6 stars I would. Ive been in multiple times and each one was far and away better than what youd expect from a tire company. I drive a 2006 Touareg, which is a pain in the ass to work on. But here are a few examples.1) My mechanic told me brakes are about done (he does not specialize in breaks). I took it in, they told me I still had about 35% life in the pads. Have a nice day.2) My tire was punctured. I took it in, they put on my spare, ordered the new one, gave the original manufacture hell, and worked out a nice discount. No charge to put on the spare.3) When I did have my braked done (front an rear), got it back, they squeaked. Took it in, they upgraded to a more expensive something (Im not a car guy). No squeak. When the break started to shake the wheel, they had to upgrade another part (which would have cost me $150 to begin with), they charged me nothing and apologized for the inconvenience. These guys are like the saints of brake and tire repairs. If they say something needs to be done, I trust them knowing theyre right, honest and fair. If I move from Seattle, I will probably miss them more then most of the friends Ive met here!
First time experience. I took our Grandaughters older Honda in for an inspection and service and to address a few things she pointed out. Courtesy worked from a standard inspection list they use plus they took care of several things I wanted done. Our experience was outstanding, friendly and professional, and even addressed me by name as I came to pick it up the same day. I have confidence that our Grandaughters car is as safe and reliable as possible.I have always gone to a shop closer to home, and they were good, but based on this experience, Ill be using Courtesy in the future.
As always I was treated with courtesy and humor. They always do a great job. Been coming to courtesy Tire since the late 70s
July 31st...couldnt even find a place to park. Got out of my car and said to a mechanic: Im new here. Where do you park?? He hurriedly pointed towards the office and said: just park in front of the office. THERE WAS NO FRONT OF THE OFFICE! No place to park at all. Everything was congested and a mess. I was just glad to get out of the parking lot. Probably most of the cars in the parking lot belonged to the workers. Its not a customer friendly place, at least when it comes to parking.
Nice guys at the front desk and they seem honest.
I have nothing to say other than high praises for Tim, Kelly, Blaine and the crew of Courtesy Tire. I have taken many cars to them since 1986. For work ranging from tire repairs, new tires, tune-ups. buyer inspection and repairs from the simplest to significant repairs. I not only trust them to take care of my cars but the cars of my children. The only time I had problems with work on any of my cars was when I went to another service location because it was close to my work (I have never seen a wheel glow red hot after a brake job before and never wish to again). I will never make that mistake again just for the convenience. I have never felt mislead or disappointed with Courtesy Tire.Telling them Keep up the good work would be a waste of breath only because that is already the part of their work ethic. So all I can truly say to them is Thank You.
Ive taken my car here for big and small repairs, and they are always very friendly and helpful. With only one exception, they have always had my car done on the day I take it in.The only downside is their small parking lot, but even on busy days I can find some place to squeeze in.
After having bad experiences elsewhere, Ive been bringing my cars to Courtesy Tire in West Seattle for many years and always been treated very well. I just picked up my car yesterday after a routine service and was reminded how much I like working with them. Its great that I can count on not only a phone call letting me know when the work is done, but also receiving an honest assessment of what needs to be done immediately and what can wait. Ive never felt pressured in the slightest to have any work done - its always at my discretion based on their recommendation. Ive also never picked up my car and been unsatisfied with the results, but Im confident Courtesy Tire will go the extra mile to make it right if for some reason Im not happy. One piece of advice, if it isnt an emergency then do make an appointment. Like any other business that does great work, their time is in demand and you might have to wait a long time or have trouble finding a parking spot if you dont plan ahead. It seems like common sense, but its worth mentioning.
Such great service. They are super knowledgeable and I feel great taking my car there.
BEST tire experience e er. I had two flat tires I thought I was going to have to buy a new one they fixed both for 59.00 Unbelievable! took me in same day too a half hour. I went shopping and came back and it was done. I LOVE THESE GUYS!!!Stephanie Lane
Found the staff to be professional and knowledgable. The service I had done was completed quickly and my car was left clean with no trace that someone had been in it. (Unlike some places that return your car stinking of cigarette smoke or greasy hands.)
Ive been coming here for years (16) and they have always treated me extremely well, and their prices are fair. I wouldnt consider going anywhere else.
I have used Lowes for 18 + years. They have serviced all my carsOver the years including my Mini Cooper . Great job again. :)
I appreciate the sincere customer service and respectful manner Kelly generously offers me when he speaks with me about my car.
If your transportation fails, and it will, you called the right number, ask for Kelly or his associates .
Im a bit of a car enthusiast and one of the few things that I cannot do in my private shop is mounting of tires, as it takes specialized equipment that requires a lot of space. Been using these guys for a few years to mount and balance tires that I order online - no-brainier. I race and trailer my cars cross-country, so I put easily over 100,000 miles under me every year and that means a lot of tires. Last week, I was too busy and sent my wife there with a new set of tires to get mounted. She comes back with a bill about 50% higher than the usual and the brand new $40 merc chrome valve caps missing from her car. Vanity I know, but they look real nice. The extra $50 and the valve caps were not worth a phone call, but I felt frustrated with the clear case skirt up-charge. When I confronted the manager, Kelly, he literally threw the invoice at me from across the counter and started blabbering about a Special Installation charges. Years ago, when I had more time, I worked as a mechanic on two well-funded race teams, but Kelly must have thought that because I was wearing a suit, he could blow hot air up my butt.Special Installation is an additional labor charge for difficult to install applications. Sports car tires that have skinny sidewalls are much harder to mount, requiring a lot of wrestling to get the rubber around what are often very expensive rims. It takes time, care and a lot of muscle to stretch them over a rim without damaging it. Sometimes a shop will slip this charge on with a big truck tire installations where the tires may weigh nearly as much as my wife - here too it can take extra time and muscle, but that really is an excuse. But my wifes merc is probably as average of an installation as one could imagine, no different than a Taurus or a Subaru. The up-charge was purely due to the fact that she was a woman in a nice car. The valve caps I am sure will find their way onto eBay or some place.Bottom line, not only did these jerks clearly took advantage of my wife, but the Kelly character did a piss poor job of handling a frustrated client. After tossing the invoice from across the counter, he literally yelled at me - Havent you ever heard of a special installation? Dont you think a Mercedes is special? He made a show of looking for the missing valve caps and then just went on working with another customer without acknowledging me. Upon my return home the wife also told me that about $5 in loose change was missing from her center console and that her glove box console and door pockets were clearly rummaged through.Typical mechanic shop garbage - this shop is permanently off my good guys list.
Love courtesy tire great customer service its where I take all my vehicles
The guy came over to the west Seattle Nursery to try replace my battery when I was stranded,,, Too bad it was my starter,,, Good service, even if they are a little pricey,,,
Quick and helpful. $35 to fix a flat though
I had a blow out and they were so quick to get a new tire and get me back on the road.
These guys know their stuff and are having a jolly time doing it. Implicit trust.
Have always taken excellent care of my car and always provide excellent service.
Courteous, nice, thorough, warning me about low oil when I did not expect it
Always helpful. Quick and dependable service
Got my timing belts done last summer and they broke after less than 10k miles on them
Competent, quick, thorough and excellent communicators
The service is top notch
Nice guys, competitive pricing.
💯
Good service
