Got my pre-purchase inspection done here. They found multiple areas of concern and Mike talked me through how I should communicate those concerns with the dealership. Inspection took about an hour. Totally reasonable and way more detailed than I would have gotten for less, was able to fit me in next day. If I ever buy a car around here again I will be coming back.

Mike went above and beyond to make sure me and my vehicle were taken care of in the best possible way. They found that the issue should be covered under manufacturers warranty and let me know taking it to the dealership would save me the cost of an expensive repair. When the dealership gave me a hard time, Mike actually called the warranty department at the dealership to make sure the repair should be covered. He ended up saving me a lot of money and I appreciated his honesty.

Weve been loyal customers since 2001. This family owned and operated establishment is outstanding. Mike and the staff of Budd & Co are honest, dependable and accommodating. Sure an oil change is a bit more here than a typical chain store, but they never try to up-sell you. Its a perfect example of expensive is cheaper in the long run. After all, our 1994 Nissan is still running with nearly 300,000 miles on the original automatic transmission and engine.

My experience with Budd was short but positive. I took my car in for some engine trouble. They did the diagnostic and told me all of what was wrong. I needed a new ignition coil and some other parts. Unfortunately, the repairs were too expensive for me to go through with, so I just took the car home. But they were very pleasant and thorough, explaining everything in detail. If not for the price, I would have been happy to let them work on the car.

As I have come to expect the guys did a wonderful job and even finished early in the day so I could get out of Seattle before rush hour. And knowing I was headed south on I-5, Zack took the time to check to see if it had reopened after the incident at Highline College. I drive in from Shelton because Budds has, for 20 years, done a good job for me . I now live 2 hrs away but I think they are worth the effort.

Weve taken all of our cars to Budd & Company over the years and will continue to do so. Weve brought our Oldsmobile, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, and Honda here for all sorts of work over the past decade, like brakes, coils, an alternator, and other stuff. Mike always treats us fairly and keeps us up to date on whats going on, and hes conscientious about the costs of repairs when multiple issues are discovered. The prices are reasonable, and if an issue is not urgent or doesnt require immediate attention then hell let us know that so we can make an informed decision about what to do now versus what we can safely take care of at a later date.

We brought our car in for its 70K service and were pleasantly surprised to find the bill almost half as much as estimated. They explained that if they inspect something and it’s okay and it takes very little time then they don’t charge for it. The higher estimate had been from the manufacturer’s time estimates, which I’m sure we would have had to pay if we’d gone to the dealership. Another great experience at Budd & Company!! We started coming here 26 years ago and have had nothing but wonderful experiences!!

Theyve never missed a diagnosis; they always identify the problem correctly the first time, fix it correctly, and it stays fixed. If repairs are expensive, theyll proactively identify ways to reduce costs or to sequence repairs over time. Every time Ive gone comparison shopping on a high price, their quote is far lower than the competition. When I moved away from Seattle for a couple years, I would still make the 3 hour drive back to get my car serviced, just to make sure I wasnt getting ripped off.

Ironically, I bought my SUV specifically to ensure the safety of me, my passengers and my Vizslas (but chiefly my Vizslas).Learning this entire premise was nearly upended through unnecessary exposure to catastrophic consequences during freeway travel was all it took for me to Dear John my dealership forever.I subsequently discovered my dealership was not only aware of the issue, they specifically didn’t road test their last repairs because of it, while failing to warn me when accepting payment for their work.
