This place is awesome - you can find a great variety of art supplies and they are in very reasonable prices(sometimes really good deals on sale) Stuff is very nice and helpful.Covid has made situation challenging for everyone, especially small business owners. I want to give my support to this awesome place and really really hope this store as my favorite spot for art supplies can be here for next 10 years+

A dream of art supplies!!! Only thing was they were low on the type of paint brushes I wanted. But I also picked up some individual sennelier oil pastels and Im excited to try them!

Friendly employees and helpful management populate the best art store Ive found in Seattle. Id give 5 Stars if their shelves were better stocked. I was able to have the manager make a special order for me, only to find out its the same as ordering from the website. The frame department just told me my request was too expensive, and never actually gave me a price range or quote. In spite of these things, their canvas supply is unrivaled and I was able to purchase lots of paints and mediums. My kids enjoyed their kids arts and crafts. Well definitely be back.

I went to this Blick location to buy paint, canvases and brushes. Ive never painted before and Evelyn (I believe this was their name) was extraordinarily helpful. They took the time to listen to my needs and provided expert recommendations about the materials. I was totally unsure what to buy and would have been lost without their help. Great experience, 10/10, thanks to Evelyn.

So glad we stopped by. My little one loves to draw and I thought we would stop by and have a look. Oh boy, it was like candy land for my kiddo (and he doesnt even like candy that much).It was a nice sized store for many, many art and (select) craft supplies. Great place to purchase gifts too (which we did for a young cousin of his).Staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!We walked to the store from the Capitol Hill light rail station so I could not comment on ease of parking. There were street parking spots but those are limited so if you can I suggest taking public transport.

Their shipping is THE worst. Do not expect accurate dates as to when you will receive your shipment. They use FedEx so although regular ground service may say 5-7 days you can expect it to take MUCH longer. And don’t expect their customers service to care. Get it together Blick. Change couriers if need be or start providing ACCURATE shipping times. Fedex is the worst and its making you guys look bad.

Big disappointment! Negative vibes all around! I like this shop for only one reason, because it is close to my apartment. 09/28/21 at 12:20 i went to get a frame and asked for a help. The guy who came to help was super unhelpful, unfriendly and unprofessional . His attitudes was like “i am busy and i am tired.”It is really hard for me to understand some people. Do i need to take your negativity in the store? Is it so hard just at least to pretend and be nice for couple minutes?

Love this store! The employees are great, they let you know they will help without being pushy. I am not a real artist but I cant imagine wanting for more. Several times a year they hold a 50% off framing event and they do great work. Highly recommended

Will never do business with this company ever again. The store associates are incompetent and my online order shipped only 1/3 of the $300 worth of items 2 weeks after ordering. No choice but to report fraud to the credit card company since theyre customer service is ridiculously bad.

Its a good store; they have good prices in comparison to other art supply stores, so I really like them. They have a good selection of products. The COVID foot traffic signs are a little confusing.

I go there few times a week for my painting needs. 9 out of 10 I will find what Im looking for. Pricing is reasonable especially if you become a member. Which is just like joining savings clubs. At just about any grocery store. But at Blick your membership will always. Get you a better price on everything.

Staff was super helpful with questions my child had. The assistant manager himself helped us get the art desk my child wanted and helped us get it from the back and let us use the dolly to get it to my car. Really above and beyond customer service. Plus the shelves at super stocked, sale prices are good, store is clean and bright and set up to be Covid friendly.

Neither friendly nor helpful; maybe theyre artists :)I was literally kicked out of this store merely for insisting they help me find some art supplies that were known to be in their inventory. Apparently, they cant be bothered to know whats on the shelves.But thats OK and wont matter if you happen to know what youre looking for and where to find it.

I really appreciate that this place has a ton of stuff for littles. With a 4yr old, sometimes its hard, but I know we can always go in Blick and find a new project to work on or craft to make. This place is to me what Target is to other folks. I go in for a small sketch pad and walk out with a new table top easel, a ton of brushes, 47 crafts for nugget, a can of glitter (lort help me) and a teeny tiny tiger. (?)

Excellent customer service. I was visiting Seattle from Vancouver Canada. Their credit card machine went down and we only had credit card. The managers were very apologetic and tried the best they could to resolve the issue. They compensated us with a discount on our items for having us wait. I also asked about different products and all the staff were attentive and helpful. I think I will have to visit this place to restock my art supplies whenever Im visiting Seattle. Oh when Id you are looking for copic markers they have an awesome selection in stock!

For most of your drawing needs water color paint they have it acrylic yep and markers and colored pencils they have em just ask the people working there and theyll help you find what you need.

I love love love this art store! Compared to Michaels and Joann on the east side, this store has a lot more selection for quality art supplies and staff to help you find things. There is an entire aisle of brushes! Just brushes on either side, all the nice brands and their brand! The gift section is hilarious although I found a lot of the items there online for cheaper. The variety of canvases, resin, airbrush materials, everything is amazing. One thing I wish they had was a hobbies section. Michaels and Joann also have hobbies areas where you can get more variety of wood shapes and model painting paints. The framing department looks nice too, but I didnt need anything framed.

I really enjoyed this place. They have an amazing scale and selection. We needed graffiti style paint for a mural we were doing and they had everything we needed plus some. Convenient location right next to an amazing ice cream shop. Win win!

There wasnt one question (and there were many 😂) that was left without an answer...and I didnt feel like I was bothering then either.Very clean, awesome staff, and well organized. Theyre jam-packed with everything under the sun. I had a bit of trouble finding what I was looking for not because of anything on their end but because I was so overwhelmed with everything going on. Finding the one thing I needed was a test of my attention span for sure. If you need art supplies for just about any product theyve got the goods.Fair warning - If youre not strong-willed youre likely to end up picking up way more than you bargained for. Likely one of the most fiscally dangerous places to be struck with inspiration.

Seattles best local art supply store for the Dick Blick Brand. Not a gigantic store, but just right, with plenty of just about everything a hobby or pro artist would need. Now. This store is located in/on Seattles Capital Hill. If you want to get a good taste of Seattles Cultural and Social diversity, well then, get yourself up there on a nice day so you can walk about checking out the sights & sounds, and best of all, the people.

I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with Blick. I dont like that they have run so many other great art stores out of business. In the past, their material quality was not very good, but it is getting much better. It is perfect for 90% of what most artists need. But if you truly want/need the best quality and specialty supplies, you wont find it here. But again, most artists will not need that level of materials. All in all, its a good store.

This shop has everything you could think of as a medium for art. It’s really like going into a candy store and finding all of your favorites and some new types you wouldn’t even think about searching for. The possibilities of what you could accomplish seem endless. And the staff manage to stay friendly even when there’s a long queue, making it so that first-timers like me can still have a positive checkout experience, despite the rush.

They have most the art materials a college student would need, I feel. They are not the best for arts and crafts, think more artists’ supplies, which makes sense given the name of the place. Staff were great, helped me find some niche things I could use for a project.

I really love Blick art Materials but I wish they had a location in Auburn. I do not like having to pay for Parking in Seattle or how compact there building is. Very tight aisle to walk through 😥. But the staff there are great and friendly. I really really wish they opened a big store in Auburn.

Great art store! The selection is amazing, walking around the store I found supplies for hobbies I thought were long gone. The aisle of paintbrushes took my breathe away. Theres so much there that I had to walk the store twice and some aisles four or five times to find exactly what I was looking for.Warning! This place may make you want to buy more things than you need and make you want to start up old hobbies or pursue new ones.

Went to get markers for coloring - needed 6 colors and they only had 2 of them in stock. Wasted my time going.

A great source of art supplies in Seattle where you could find almost anything you need, with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Its right in the heart of Capitol Hill.

Love it! I went there the other day to get some copics and me personally I have horrible anxiety mad struggle to make up my mind and talk and I sadly forgot her name but she helped me pick out markers and was so kind and understanding that I was bad at picking out things and slow the cashier was also very kind as well. I can tell the employees all get along there was not a lot or any tension in the air. I highly recommend to all kinds of people!

This store is awesome. I love walking inside here and instantly seeing stuff I want right off the bat. I was really happy with the wide range of brush pens and watercolor ink they have in stock. The staff was knowledgeable about what I was looking for and had great recommendations. The only dislike I have about the store is that many items showed online were not in store and are also not labeled as such. So if you see something online you want, I would suggest calling first to make sure they carry it in store.

The website carries more products.

We went to two other art stores and this is the only one that had what we were looking for. Plus, it just feels cool to be in here. Sort of like being in a trendy bookstore. It didnt feel any more expensive than a Hobby Lobby, and the employees gave our dog a dog treat. Nothing negative to say!

Only big art store in Centralized Seattle. The other decent art store Daniel Smith is not in the city-City. They have their own brand of paint, canvas, paper media that is inexpensive. Blick is great!!! All staff is amazing and artist themselves.

The place to go for traditional art! Theyre having a sale for desk easels :p theres barely any yarn here so try another store for that

Love this store. They have high quality art supplies, employees know the locations of what you need. They have a loyalty program that offers you perks and discounts. I was on my way too close to closing time with a last minute project for my wedding the next day. I called and told them exactly what i needed. Upon my arrival, they were already letting people out. They had a person up front waiting for me to take me to the isle i needed and in brief detail describe why i should pick these specific items for my project. I was in and out in 5 minutes, and I felt like a very valued customer. They definitely care! Thank you, Blick Art! You guys are amazing and make my heart full.

If you are a crafty place to go

A comprehensive professional artist supply house. Great website, tons of different supplies, and a fairly helpful staff (Cap Hill location). My only complaints are theres no parking and their prices, which trend from high to higher to W H A T. Still the only source for some items, and they do have sales from time to time.

Block has an amazing amount of supplies. I was really impressed with their individual pen selection - they had some Ive never seen before. The discount for buying multiple pens is great. They also have an awesome high end decorative paper by the sheet section

I believe it was the manager that helped me yesterday and he provided exceptional customer service. I had called in before heading over to ask about prices and availability and when I went in the pens I had come for were not in stock and they were definitely not the same price. He made every effort to track down the pens for me and even though they werent all available, he honored the price I was quoted and helped me find other options too. Huge thanks for everyones understanding and help.

Filled with quality art supplies that you cant find at just any craft store. I had to go far for this store, and its always a treat when I get out there.

There are few art store left, but this is one of the better one. You can find architectural items also.

My first experience shopping in a Blick store. It was busy and packed with supplies. I loved it. Parking is a rodeo, but thats not Blicks fault, so I cant hold it against the store. Customer service was great. I had an issue with my email receipt, and called a couple of days later. Chris was kind enough to locate and scan a copy of my receipt, which he then emailed to me. Highly recommended.

A bit pricey. But I understand that it is an art supply store. Maybe go somewhere else if you want cheaper options.

The Blick up on Cap hill is a magical place where you can spend hours looking at things you have no idea how to use. I walked in there to buy one paint brush and ended up in screen printing! They always have great deals and the staff is amazingly friendly and helpful (not to mention patient while youre rambling about your wild ideas to them!)

This art store has a great selection. Prices are better than your big name art stores, and they do a lot of sales and specials.

Still cheaper than Daniel Smith ( sorry Daniel Smith I love your products but I cant buy them with all the exposure I get paid in) Blick has friendly staff that are happy to help you find what you need. Be prepared to buy stuff you didnt know you needed, though. Bring a friend to slap your hands when you go over budget.

I am currently a graphic design student and I purchased a wonderful desk at Blick. I had a great experience there not to mention a student discount and a preferred customer discount. Then a very kind staff member wheeled the desk all the way to the parking garage on a dolly for me. Love the store itself and the location. The Jimmy Hendrix sculpture out front is epic too.

I ordered from the catalog for years before finally moving to Seattle and getting to shop here. I expected the store to be much bigger, but it has a lot crammed in here! Everything you could possible want or need for art supplies is here. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and refunds are simple. A great place to shop and much more convenient than ordering by mail.

Helpful staff, fairly good selection, good prices. Taking a local art class, they had a kit premade with the supplies I would need, at a discount. That was helpful.

Very good collection of pastels, different kinds of papers were available here. Prices were not that great though... In a few cases it was much higher than what their website offered.

Im a sucker for art supply stores. Im so impressed by the choice artists have at Blick. The store is very organized and staff is very nice. I spent most of my time in the graphite pencil/drawing aisle. So many choices at reasonable prices. I picked up a 9B graphite pencil, 2B pencil, an eraser, and a small sketch book for less than $10. I also signed up for the rewards card. I could spend hours in this store.

If you are an artist this place is amazing. Just watch your wallet, as usual it is an art supply store with typical art supply markup. Still a wonderful store with wonderful selection
