I love this place! They have a giant selection of supplies, paint, mediums, brushes, canvases and so much more. Theres never been anything I was looking for that they didnt have. The staff are very knowledgeable and so friendly. I would recommend this place over big chain store a 1,000+ times. Plus prices are reasonable and they let me bring my dog inside 🎨🖌️
Knowledgeable staff, great selection and affordable prices. Love the low-key atmosphere and the authentic art-filled atmosphere. It is a refreshing contrast to corporate big box art stores.
Great neighborhood arts and crafts store for all your creative needs. Paints, sketchpad, modeling materials, card stock, and so much more. The staff are very welcoming every time I go to the store.
As a full time artist this is my favorite place to visit! It blows Michaels AWAY, theres no comparison. Right down the block and an easy bus ride away. They have almost everything I need. I also LOVE the giant canvases in the back of the store... my poor little heart hopes to one day make my masterpiece 🥲
Fantastic place for both specialty and general art supplies. Staff is always kind and helpful, and they have reasonable student discounts
Great staff and prices, always happy to support a local company. Free parking for customers in the lot across the street. Ive yet to visit their Tacoma location. This one has a good selection of screen print and woodblock supplies, too, and other niche crafts which can be difficult to find elsewhere.I love the gifts section as well, I got my girlfriend and her kids some great birthday presents here.
Amazing arts and crafts store! I could wander these aisles for hours.
Amazing art supply store! Incredible inventory and so many options. Its worth wandering through even if you know what you want just because youll get so many ideas.Ive found the staff to sometimes be a bit over busy, but very helpful and knowledgeable. They know their stuff and are happy to geek out with you!
LOVE this place!! This is not Michael’s or JoAnn. They have real art supplies for pretty much any art form, and for any skill level from grade school to professional. The staff are super knowledgeable and friendly, they don’t condescend to an amateur such as myself. Really can’t recommend this place highly enough!
Most diverse art supply store in the whole Seattle area. I come here for everything. Theres great selections of oil paints, canvas and rolls of paper
Great variety of high quality art supplies. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Independent nature (not corporate). Awesome place.
This is my favorite art supplies store ever. Great service and all the things your creative heart desires. Its also a good place to find gifts.
This place is SO COOL! Theyve got everything you could really possibly need if youve set out on creating something. Its a bit out of the way, but its definitely worth the visit just to see what cool and fun things they have and how diverse the world of crafts can be. I bought some Angelus leather paints to paint some white shoes, and the paint quality was great! The shoes came out looking amazing. All the prices are extremely reasonable, and the employees are super friendly and helpful. Overall the vibe here is great and it could be a nice stop even for a day out.
Three good things about this place1. The place will literally transport into a world of art and niceties, you can get lost in there and there is nothing that you wouldnt find.2. The people are so kind both the people who run the store and the ones who visit3. There is a student discount for UW students.
Great place. Very helpful staff. Everything from oil paints to wood burners.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Great selection and reasonable prices.
One of the few really great, broad scoped art supply stores in the area. They have the little things you couldnt find anywhere else, as all as the ones you didnt know you needed. The staff here top notch in their customer service as well. Always a pleasure coming here.
A great, friendly, helpful place to get all sorts of art supplies!
Very good selection and well priced.Friendly, helpful staff. I prefer it to Blick in Capitol Hill
Great selection and everyone working there is always friendly!
My fav art supply shop. Great people and selection 🙌
A wonderland of delights, a feast for the eyes and soul. They have whatever you need, just go. No other art or craft supply store holds a candle to this place. Also a surprisingly excellent place to buy gifts as they have a large section of curiosities, little games and toys, trinkets, as well as beautiful things throughout the store like gorgeous one of a kind journals, hard to find fancy pens, and the like.
An awesome store for creative supplies. Things you didnt know you needed can be found on every aisle and its a great place to take kids wanting to explore their creativity.
This place is such an amazing store it’s kinda like one of those hole in the wall places you make think twice about but I promise you it’s not you have to check it out they have these amazing papier-mâché animals hanging from the ceiling. It’s had the widest variety of paint brushes, canvas, miniatures… you name it they’ve got it
When you cant find it any place else..! Check here before ordering online, they probably have what youre looking for. This place is massive, looking around the back is well worth the extra 20 minutes. Love this place.
This was my first visit to a craft store outside of Joannes or Michaels. I was concerned about what they would or wouldnt have, but they seem to have a better selection than the chains Im used to. Plus they feature art from customers and employees, which I think is such a great idea.
Impressively large selection with employees that were friendly and knowledgeable without being pushy or overbearing.
Huge art store with friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Love this place! Staff is super nice and they have a great selection for all your crafty needs.
They have everything crafty and anything artsy. Great vibes if youre an artist.
Great place. We found what we needed easily, and the staff member we talked to knew right where a product we were looking for was.
You can get lost in the aisles of art supplies that you just cant wait to use and the people are wonderful.
There is no finer place in king county to get supplies for whatever art youre into, from basic crafting, fine art painting or stone carving they have it all. Incredible selection, huge variety, quality products and even has free parking (look for the authorization code in the front window).
I could spend a week in this place if youre an artist or a hobbyist or just curious whats in there go!
5 star for when its finally more stocked up bit on the scarcity level yesterday loved the availability & location free 2hr pkng very handy
Huge variety of supplies from toys up to pro artist. Super helpful staff
Cute art supply store with a large variety! I wish they carrier more resin materials. Great and knowledgeable staff! Parking can be validated.
This is my favorite art store in Seattle! They have a great selection of supplies for artists of any level and the employees are incredibly kind and very knowledgeable about art materials. They also display art from some of their employees and local artists so its a fun experience to just walk around the store :)
Fantastic selection! Great prices!! Very knowledgeable staff! We found nearly everything we were looking for, and at better prices than chain stores.
Lovely art supply store tucked away underneath a Petco. Its very reasonable price wise and my stalker ex-girlfriend doesnt know that I go there so I have a safe place to be.
Best art store Ive ever been to. Cant beat prices and knowledgeable staff.
This is genuinely one of my favorite art stores in seattle, the floor is covered in paint and its a fantastic building to wander through. Not to mention it has great prices and student discounts!
Great, love this corner from top to bottom.
Great variety of artist/professional supplies as well as student grade supplies. Comparable to Blick plus a ton of craft supplies. Infinitely better selection of art supplies than Michaels or Hobby Lobby. Lots of open stock stuff. Prices are similar to Blick (teachers and students get a discount too). Free parking (!!!!!!!!!) in the lot across the street with a code that can be found on the outside of the building.
Amazing art store. I can always find what Im looking for here. The store is bigger than it looks on the outside so make sure you check with them if you cant find something. Plus they are great about keeping up with social distancing by letting a few people in at a time, which I appreciate. Friendly service, great prices, and a wide variety of craft items. If I take a shot at painting, Ill go straight to this store. Its a one-stop shop.
Coolest craft store Ive been to. They have at least the basics for EVERYTHING-- including things like stone carving! Ive never met a staff member who wasnt an absolute expert on everything I asked about. A must-visit in my opinion.
Everyone is so friendly and helpful. Their selection is so vast too, best art store in the Greater Seattle Area
This is an awesome little shop that has a wide range of fine art supplies, craft supplies, curio gag items and pen and ink products for dip pens, fountain and technical pens.I was in Seattle for a class at Gage and Blick didn’t have what I needed and I found Blicks online selection and prices to be far better than their brick and mortar options sadly.I was told about Artists & Craftsman by someone in my figure drawing class and I’m so glad she mentioned them; A&C is an awesome if somewhat hidden gem. Parking is a bit of an issue (its Seattle), I ended up buying something at the Petco on top of them and running down to A&C afterwards.I was able to grab the Winsor & Newton and Nitram charcoal I needed, as well as a few of my favorite Faber Castell kneaded erasers. They had all my favorite oil and watercolor brands and some of my favorite dip pen (Ziller’s) and fountain pen (Noodler’s) inks.I grabbed a Van Gogh ear eraser at the register and called it a day.The staff was awesome and helpful 👌🏽💜.I plan on stopping by the next time I’m over on the west side of the state because I love Artists & Craftsmen!
My favorite art store in town. The place is huge, they have it all. Staff is very helpful and super knowledgeable as well! I still discover, or learn something new with every visit!
Super cool place, carry great artist items. Super friendly staff.
They have a great selection of products, but watch out for surly, disgruntled employees answering the phone. My wife called and just wanted to order a product *that they told her just a day earlier that they could* and the person who answered the phone did everything they could to make the call hostile. No need to get into the minutiae of the conversation, but needless to say, we ended up not being able to order the product. If the employee’s goal was to get us off the phone and take our business elsewhere, mission accomplished!
This is hands down our favorite art supply store in Seattle.
My daughter is a fan of their quite large collection of fine markers, pens and pencils.
The ppl that work there are really knowledgeable and helpful
This place is weird. Manager follows people around as if they gonna steal stuff
Amazing prices!Ive been coming here for years now, the people and staff are truly one of a kind. Each staff member is just radiating a inspirational energy. They have great insight on most if not all crafts and art projects, whether youre new, a scholar or just a hobbyist theyre very eager to assist you in finding what you need.Im a part time freelancer and I find that they truly are worth every cent. They give great discounts on by the book prices. They also offer student and teacher discounts.
My favorite art store! Great prices and friendly, helpful staff. Worth the 40min drive!
Staff was helpful and I found several great sales. Lots of room in the aisles and a great vibe!
This store has a huge selection! Not only that, but the place is spacious and fun to explore. The staff has been consistently friendly, polite, and helpful. As someone who draws and paints, I appreciate the space dedicated to assembling stretcher bars. They have a table where you can test to make sure they fit together properly.I love this place. Being new in town, it’s already beginning to feel like a second home. I could spend hours here.
What an art supply store should be. I support this business because of the efficient service and fantastic inventory. The staff is always friendly, professional, and knowledgable. Support local business and you support your community.
The best ary supply in Seattle best prices customer service and twice as big as blick shoot thru!!
Meca of art supplies. Parking is annoying but the stock variety makes up for it.
Very knowledgeable staff. Large array of supplies, what more could u ask for.
Really cool art store. Probably the best. Everything is open. They have tons of stuff. Disappointed that they could of had more. Faber castell colored pencil sets and inktense derwents would of been a plus. And 72 piece set copic sketch would be awesome.
Very careful! Very safe. Very nice workers! Great art supplies! Love the place!
Always helpful staff, great selection for all arts and crafts! also will validate parking :)) love these guys 💕
Best Art Store in Seattle. Always guarantee you will find something you like.
Helpful, engaging staff & great selection of products.
Nice alternative to UW Bookstore.
Loved the supportive staff, they are very conscientious of allowing only 8 people in at a time, masks, spacing. There is a sign you can call in your order and do pick up if you want. Very helpful and of course items purchased were great!
The fact that I was offered a tiny bag and a tiny receipt for my pen, made a great impression on me. Its the little things, haha!
Nice store. Good prices. Great service. The staff are very friendly, enthusiastic and helpful. A lot of art supplies as well as craft materials are available. Everything could be found in this store with competitive price. There are also many discounts offered around the store.
This is my favorite art store in Seattle! A really cool, beautifully decorated subterranean/basement shop with a TON of art supplies. It’s like Artist Disneyland!! The staff are always super friendly and helpful.
Really lovely local business. Great selection, super friendly staff. I was just stopping by to get some art supplies for my kid, nothing fancy at all, and they were super cool about it and didnt try to upsell me on professional art supplies or anything, although they clearly had them. Spots like this remind me why I love local business.
Fairly affordable prices. Friendly service. Huge selection
This place has everything for your next crafts project or unique gift. If you need quality writing and drawing supplies, they have a massive selection. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. Ive been coming here regularly for the last two years. Im always finding something new or useful or just plain fun and quirky.Set aside some time just to explore the shop and discover everything they have.
I found just the gift for the painter who everything... Round and oval canvases
This is such a cool store, a real Seattle icon, they have everything for making art and then some. Just wandering around this place gives me inspiration for projects. They offer art lessons, but I have not taken any there yet, I am sure they are great.
Fun, quirky, well stocked
Very inclusive spaces! Theres always someone knowledgeable to help out. When I tried to unsuccessfully hang a frame, they gave me a no hassle refund and helped find a better fit. Im so glad to live near this store!
This is honestly an amazing place to go if you are looking for a wide range of crafts, especially ones you wont find anywhere else. I personally went to this store because their selection of dyes is unbelievable! They have almost every type of dye, including acid dyes, and in a HUGE assortment of colors. Oh! And the staff was not only helpful and respectful, but they add to the unique atmosphere of this craft store.Btw, if you are a student, let the cashier know! They offer some discounts for students.
I love to wander the aisles for inspiration and find good deals. Good prices, not always the absolute lowest but always worth it. One of my favorite places to go when I need a little cheering up.
Terrific selection of art materials. Staff is fun, friendly, and experienced. Always a treat to shop here.
Great store! Its a large store with a huge selection. They seem to have everything, including raw marble and tools for stone work. There is a great little area set up to either keep kids occupied, or adults to try out. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Parking can be a challenge, but I found a spot on the street very close by. Ill be back.
The place to go in Seattle for art supplies. Seriously
Always love going here! Great selection, diverse and friendly staff, and impressive community involvement make this such a fun place to shop. A little on the expensive side, so I go there to treat myself, but theres definitely something for everyone here.
Friendly, knowledgable staff. I love shopping here. They have a great selection of art supplies, frames, craft stuff. The staff is super helpful and never snobby ( like some other art supply stores) and they seem to stick around. Its a bit of a trek for me to get there but well worth the trip.
Best kept secret in the city.
Unassuming exterior, but the store is much bigger inside than it looks. I found some specialty items I wasnt able to find anywhere else.
Cant say enough about how rad this place is! Some of the sale prices make me feel super lucky. Its a fun place to be in with good vibes and genuinely kind employees who are down to help out at the drop of a hat.
Coolest art store Ive ever been to
This place is my go to art store above all the other ones. Friendly and helpful employees, free pallets out front if you ever need to build a platform for your tent in one of the near by homeless camps, if doesnt apply to you then you are winning before you even go there and congrats on a job well done. You must be perfect, wow! Im amazed maybe if you see me flying a sign you could throw me a buck or two that would be much appreciated
Best art store in seattle by far. Large selection, reasonably priced, warm & friendly employees... winning
Huge selection of art gear. Kind of a funky place with a warehouse-like feel. But I suppose this keeps prices low. Purchased a couple of sets of copix, prices were better than Amazon.
