Be VERY CAREFUL here!!! There is A LOT of stuff here that is beautiful and literally mind-blowing. I ended up buying two tables here for over $3K together. I was told that they were antique, but later it turned out that I overpaid by a lot for antique-look tables that were actually no older than 5 years. Theyre still pretty, just not worth what I paid for them.
I felt like I was being scammed while attempting to sell antiques to the lady that works there. The first piece I showed her she picked up and looked at for less them 10 seconds and said it was not authentic - then offered $100 ... when I declined her offer and showed her other items I had she glanced and without even looking told me they were all fake or reproductions...
We bought May items here for the past 10 years and we love this store. It is truly a treasure of Chinatown, Chinatown is not complete without this antique store
Dr. Hong at Silver Crane Center for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine mentioned about this place when I asked him where he got the folded screen. This place truely a gem of Chinatown
Love the selection and the prices are very reasonable!
Nov. 2019: Pretty much an empty warehouse now. Remodeling. Said to come back Feb 2020. The few vases we did see were very pricey. Not what we were looking for.
I have been a regular customer of Beijing Arts for many years, sometimes to buy things that I like, sometimes just to look at beautiful antiques here, or just simply to chat with the owner, Ming, who is so knowledgable about Chinese antiques.Every few months, there will be new items on displayI read a comment from a review who absurdly gave this store a one star for that reason that the store was empty! I wonder if this person even know that all items were sold to a French dealer two months ago. So if he wants to see new items on display, then come to the store now.Anyway, Beijing arts is a hidden gem of Seattle.Hai Hong
These people are a rip off. Dont come here unless you want to get scammed. Their antiques are modern made and sometimes have a made in China sticker on the bottom. The cloisonne is very poorly made, and agaib, are modern made reproduction
Great selection of Chinese art and furniture! Manager is very knowledgeable of Chinese antiques.
What an amazing selection of antique furniture, ceramics, statues, and art work. There are certainly lots of treasures inside this unassuming store.
Opened at 11:00 closed for lunch 11:30 to 1:30. Must be nice.
