We have been all over the country in search of salvage and antiques. This is a must see! Make an appointment to go to their Capitol Records warehouse while in town. Prices are great and the staff is very friendly and very helpful. Do note these are warehouses and are not climate controlled-because they’re MASSIVE! You can easily spend 2 days to see it all.
Purchased a working pinball machine online and drove out 4 hours away to pick it up. It was listed as being in excellent condition but once I got it home and unwrapped I realized I had been scammed. The entire cabinet has termite damage and will need to be replaced if it is going to be saved. The machine is also not working and even has a damaged cord. Besides the ordeal with the pinball machine, their prices are extremely high and most items are damaged. Use caution if you decide to do business here. They got me.. and they got me good.
We’ve visited Olde Good Things a few times a year because they always have interest things. This time was no different. While we didn’t buy anything on this trip, we have in the past. The staff members are very friendly. One thing to keep in mind, especially in the heat of the summer, is that the building is not air conditioned. They have several large fans moving air, and it was ok even though it was quite warm outside.
Drove hour away to come to this place. Walk in was asked what I was looking for. He looked annoyed like I was gonna ask a question. I said I bought a 100 year plus farmhouse and was looking for a fireplace mantle. He said and I quote did you look on line? I said no. Well, I have 1 it’s back there to the right. And that was the end of the conversation. So I left right then and there. Rude rude rude. Never going back. I thought I found a treasure place to restore our farmhouse. Nope not the case.
I would love to just walk around this place for hours searching the treasures they have here. A selection like Ive never seen before.
Amazing inventory...like a museum on this steroids!
Lots of old salvaged items, doors windows, sinks, claw tubs, tables made from salvaged woods, all kinds of lights etc... salvaged from buildings that are being changed or demolished. You should check it out!
Great place, most interesting store I know of.
They have a big selection of architectural antiques and a have a diverse selection of salvaged materials that can be made into finished products. There are a lot of parts for installation into new houses if you’re building or restoring.
It would be an understatement to call this establishment anything less than a treasure trove of archaeological artifacts. Just imagine a museum within an airplane hangar filled with architectural materials. It runs the gambit from full window stained glass panels out of cathedrals to marble tubs, mantles and columns. The ceiling is lined with lighting fixtures that are probably out of grand opera houses or theaters looking down over things like lampposts, to entire saloon bar settings.Theres a huge outdoor yard of iron works including gates, railings on an industrial scale. An on premise factory of dedicated uniquely skilled craftspeople work on an array of projects from repairs, restoration and repurposing. Lining the way to the parking loading area are these Egyptian cast murals the size of a truck just past an anchor off of a steam liner.
A really neat find in the city. This place definitely has some very unique things for the home. Lots of gorgeous stained glass windows and beautiful tables and they even make original pieces that turn out wonderful.
Love this place! I could spend all day rummaging through the wonderful stuff. Walking through here makes me feel like Im surrounded by old stories that i might be able to catch if I listen closely enough
I was looking for a piece of butcher block to make my own table. Found ash butcher block here for the ridiculously high price of $55 a square foot unfinished. I can buy it new online for $200 for a 5’x3’ piece. There’s would have been $800. So if you want to get ripped off by all means go here.
Great selection of stuff in warehouse layout. You will be doing a bit of hunting but a fun place with tons of stuff. Mostly architectural pieces (doors, ceiling deco, window frames, fencing etc but decent chairs, sinks, etc.
Architectural salvage, reclaimed furnishings and other cool stuff. Fun to just wander around. Friendly sales staff. Huge, and I mean huge, warehouse chock-full of treasures.
Treasure Pickers Paradise! Massive location in Northeast PA...overwhelming amount of everything architectural...an absolute must see if this is your kind of thing.
Found some awesome chairs here.
Great place friendly staff and its like a museum of great things you can actually afford
All the things and things you never thought of or about. Visit the warehouse and wander around for ideas. Helpful staff.
Treasure trove
Amazing you need days just to see all the doors.
HUGE selection of old, antique items. Almost all will need some type of work and restoration. If youre looking for an old door, they have an endless supply.
